Looking for Demantra-SAP integrations

Hi,
I'm trying to assist a client who is considering integrating Demantra with SAP. Do you know of any customers who have done this? How could this be achieved?

An interesting question. I am sure a decent google will return a list of SAP and Demantra customers but I expect the vast majority will be SAP Customers who implemented Demantra before it was bought by Oracle. Oracle have a clear strategy to box SAP customers into a corner - they have bought PeopleSoft, Siebel, JD Edwards, Demantra and Hyperion to name a few in recent years and these were corporate software companies supplying SAP approved sollutiions to SAP customers.
So are SAP customers implementing Demantra now that it is Oracle Demantra? It is a question that is no doubt being monitored at the highest levels in Oracle, SAP and Microsoft since it will indicate whether the strategy is working. I don't know the answer I'm afraid though I suspect it will be "not yet but the signs are: soon".
The answer to your second question is that it should be easy to implement Oracle Demantra in a SAP environment. The Demantra solution can be installed as a standalone application and data can be imported manually or automatically from Legacy Sources without difficulty.

Correct path is only number 51033526 for BS 2005 SR3 Java Components
But this installation I guess need number 51033513 NW 7.0 SR3 SP14 Java based SW Comp.

I think your requirement can't be met with standard functionality. The best way to for mapping this requirement would be to create a Custom Report involving two below things.
Use the program which is called when we access Sales Order --> Environment --> Changes.
Use the table for delivery item level LIPS for Quantity comparision.
Kindly try out this approach and let us know if any further issues comes into picture.

InfoProviders versus Queries Data Source for BO SAP Integration

Hi All,
I would like to know if there is any discussion or suggestion on commonly used choice of data source for BO with SAP Integration. I do know there is a best practices suggestion from Ingo on Webi and the choice is to use queries so that we could leverage the functionalities of calculated key figures, exit variables and etc. But as I see from another website it claims that this will slow down the access of data using queries.

Is there any slide presentations from anyone that has that kind of information? We are in the midst of implementation right now and are selecting the method. I need to come out with pros and cons of the choices that we have in order for us to select the best one even though from my gut feeling I would still prefer the Queries.
Especially it will also make use of aggregates and also data flow size might be fewer due to variable that exists. Compared to using MultiProvider, it might transfer the whole data lot and if we were to create parameter there in Crystal or something else it will filter data only from there onwards.

Looking for telephony/VoIP integration recommendation

We are looking for a solution to integrate our telephony and VoIP. Most of our users will utilize the VoIP but we found in our previous tool that the telephony option was nice to have as a back-up when the inevitable microphone issues arise. However, with Adobe Connect, we're having trouble finding a solution that is truly integrated. For example, in one scenario we've investigated, the host can't mute the people on the phone - only on VoIP. In another scenario, a host must join the conference call in order for it to work for participants (counter-productive since our hosts are on VoIP and we'd like to keep it that way).
Any success stories for a truly integrated solution would be helpful. I would be interested to know the administrative duties as well (when you set up the meeting do you need to manually select and therefore keep track of when particular numbers are in use? If so, for companies who are potentially delivering multiple classes simultaneously and across the globe - how do you manage that?).

I believe that PGi or Intercall have the ability to use the fully integrated bridge and broadcast over VoIP simultaneously.
Phone bridges must be assigned to rooms ahead of time, but both providers should happily give you as many bridges as you want/need and they are billed and tracked separately. So you would just need to assign the individual bridges to the appropriate rooms. So long as no two rooms have the same bridge, you won't have to worry about a conflict.

Looking For Standard SAP Report - Production Orders - Hours

Is anyone aware of a standard report in SAP's PP module that shows labor hours in a planned vs. actual fashion? The report that resides in a single production order via the menu path Goto -> Costs -> Analysis is great. Our Plant Managers though need a report that allows people to view orders in summary across their plant.

I appreciate the suggestions. I did try transactions S_ALR_87013127 and KRMI. Here's what I found:
- S_ALR_87013127 is good transaction our Plant Managers already use to see their performance on Plan vs. Actual for costs. Unfortunately, hours are not included on the report.
- KRMI is a transaction I had not used before. I unfortunately couldn't get any actual line items to appear.

Looking for the SAP Font used in Ads

I am trying to make a wallpaper just like the SAP Ads that say " XXX RUNS SAP " but for the company I work for.
But I have not got any luck finding the font. It is the same that in this page on the right upper corner that says: SAP COMMUNITY NETWORK.

Finding Download for SAP Integration Kit Fix Pack 3.1 / ADAPT01412706

by using Crystal Reports 2008 V1 SP3 in combination with SAP Integration Kit 3.1 (SBOP INTEGRATION FOR SAP SOLUTIONS XI 3.1 SP3 WINDOWS (32B)) i get an error during the inportstep of the transports in our BW System.
This error is descriped and solved in Note 1484086

Following the Notesteps there is one conclusion using the transport files from the "SAP Integration Kit to FixPack 3.1" . My problem is to find these named Fix Pack in the download area of the Marketplace.
An Fix Pack for the SAP Integration Kit itself seems to be not aviable,
therefore I tried several downloads beginning with:
Crystal Reports 2008 Fix Pack 3.1 - Click Once
Crystal Reports 2008 Fix Pack 3.1 - Redist Install
Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 Fix Pack 3.1
there are no transportfiles in any of these packages.
If any from you have some idea where to find the right transport files, please let me know.

Looking for SAP solution to extract data from the production system

we are looking for the SAP standard tool to extract data from the production system and copy it to the development system. It should be as functional as some kind of partial client copy. The data, which we need to replicate is master and transactional data from FI, CO, AA MM and nice to have FS-RI modules. There is a product offered by the IntelliCorp called "Data Management" but we would like to know if SAP offers its own product.

Error after uninstalling the SAP Integration Kit XI 3.0 on Unix

Hi all,
I have uninstalled the SAP Integration Kit XI 3.0 on a single solaris server installation. Uninstall was done exactly as instructed in the manual and everything looked ok.
Now when I try to go to the login page of CMC or InfoView I get an error:
type Status report
message /PartnerPlatformService/service/app/logon.do
description The requested resource (/PartnerPlatformService/service/app/logon.do) is not available.
Is the login page trying to look for the SAP authentication page that was removed ?
Is there some configuration still remaining somewhere that needs to be removed so I get the old login page back ?

Error using CR 11.5 with dynamic cascading prompts and SAP Integr.Kit XI R2

Hi,
we are using the SAP Integration Kit XI R2 (patched up to FP4.3) in order to report SAP BW data (BW 3.5) in Crystal Reports 11.5 (SP 4). In order to access the stored BEx Queries we use either the SAP BW Query or the SAP BW MDX Query Driver (_we DO NOT use any universes_). Everything seems to work fine ex cept when we want to use dynamic cascading LOVs within CR. For example when a user runs a report she/he should select first a customer group (0CUST_GROUP prompt) and then the customer (0DEBITOR). Defining the cascading prompts with dynamic LOVs is no problem in CR and when the report runs (either in CR Designer or in InfoView) both prompts appear. Still when we do a selection for the first prompt (0CUST_GROUP) we get a 0x8004380D error with the text message stating that the system is not able to retrieve the LOV data (I guess for the 0DEBITOR prompt). Please note that we do not get a corba error and no firewalls are activated. We checked the trace files of the page server and found out that there was an error calling the createRowsetCursor function within enginekernel.cpp.
Any hints on our case will be mostly appreciated. We have the feeling that we are hitting a bug here but maybe we are overseeing something.

PS: Please note that if we access directly the ODS Object (SAP ODS driver) the dynamic cascading prompts on exactly the same InfoObject (or better their keys in the ODS) work without a problem.

You can define LOV's in universes but unfortunately you can not use universes based on SAP in Crystal Reports.
You can define parameters in the Bex query which are passed on to Crystal Reports, so you don't need to define them in the Business Objects tools. Please have a look at the SAP Integration Kit user's guide

When I for instance read the release notes of SP3 then I do not see anywhere what has been improved.

More like howto install, deploy and known issues. But where does it say for instance: using BW query conditions have improved performance for Crystal reports...?

Hi Kenny,
Whenever you create a custom (Z) idoc type and want to trigger idocs for it you would need to use the MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE function module for the same.
Hence to get some sample programs just do a <i>where used</i> on this function module.
