Looking for devignette presets

I'm looking for devignette presets for Canon APS-C cameras (Rebel XTi/400D and 50D) and some Canon lenses (EF-S 10-22, EF-S 17-85, EF 17-40). I do have some presets but the results are disappointing (http://www.fotocommunity.de/pc/pc/mypics/1075411/display/13685167).
These presets should be as exact as possible, because I use them for some panorama shots.
Here's how I made my presets:
1) Shoot in Av-Mode with different apertures
2) Set the black control point and the white control point for the luminance in the level inspector to the left and right respectively
3) devignette until the image seems to have one grey tone only
Has someone such presets?

Looking for a preset to "jiggle" and object...

Hey all,
Does someone have a preset to "jiggle" a video frame? Basically what I want to do is produce some thought/speech bubbles as JPG images, put the in a video track and then apply the preset to make the "jiggle". I can obviously build something like this myself, but I had rather not as it will be a nightmare in keyframing, and I might have two or three of these things going and I would not want them all making the same pattern if I can keep from it. If you know of another piece of software to do this, that is an acceptable solution also.

Thanks for that. I usually go to AfterEffects for the "Wiggler," but for de-stabilization, this would be a lot easier. Never looked at Earthquake Effect before. Do not know if PrPro2 has similar. While AE does a great job, if one can do it more easily in their NLE, it will save a bunch of work.
Appeciated - guess I need to explore my PE Effects more closely!

Looking for toolbar preset files... (CS3)

Since there's apparently no way to have CS3 work properly under Leopard - where are the files for the tool bar positions and key short cuts I need to backup and replace after one of the very frequent crashes of Ai, Id and Ps?

I have to disagree. I use Illustrator CS3, InDesign CS3, and Photoshop CS3 in Leopard with no problems. Have you upgraded to Mac OS X 10.5.4? Have you tried running from a new user?
While there are still minor glitches occasionally, most problems running CS3 apps in Leopard have been dealt with. I and most other serious users are successfully running Leopard now.

I am looking for an app that can unmute my iphone after a preset time, eg 1 or 2 hours. Does anybody know an app with this feature?? The apps I have found are linked to a calendar or a place, I just need the timer function..

thanks. yes i am aware of the VoiceOver feature but it is NOT the solution to my problem. as you said, it is a solution to a different set of issues. i want the text to speech ability because i there are books i need to read but do not have the time to sit down and read them and have become used to listening to them read to me either by a professional human reader or with the text to speech software on the Kindle.
I think Apple makes the best audio devices but i am really disappointed in this inexplainable shortcoming. if apple can give us siri they ought to be able to design a nice little button that i can push to turn on text to speech while i am in a document, book, magazine or webpage. clearly it is possible as apple has added the "reader" button in safari to have web pages dropped into the reader format.
thanks for your suggestion though, it is what everyone suggests but it does not address the issue.

Looking for an Appointment Calendar that does THIS...

I'm a stylist who owns a 700wx with Verizon. I am looking for an appointment calendar app that does ALL of the following?
1. Books 15 minute appointments.
2. Jumps weeks at a time (For example, a client wants to rebook for 6 weeks... I don't want to count the weeks, I want to tap them)
3. Appointments can be booked with contact names. (For example, March 27th at 6pm... book this Contact... >?)
4. Notepad or other type popup for notes (What services, what price, special situations...etc)
Or does anyone know of any Salon Appointment software available for the 700wx?

Ok. I didn't see "Attendees" as being the same as Contacts.
I don't want recurring appointments... although I will use it, just more rarely. I want it to jump weeks. (Some salon software has links that actually say "Jump 4 weeks" or 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks" etc.
Can it remember appointmnt TYPES? Like, meeting is always 15 minutes, or hilight is always an hour? Or will I always have to specify how long to block? I'm not sure if I'm explaining this correctly. Is there a way to set up preset appointment TYPES and their duration???

Looking for a specific 8-bit synth plugin

There was one I found a while ago (maybe a year or so) that had a lot of Nintendo-type preset sounds. At the time, it wasn't Leopard compatible so I didn't keep it on my system. I've done some searching and checked out a couple plugins since including Magical 8-bit plugin and Chip32, but none have had the wealth of presets that first one did. I know I can recreate any of the sounds I want using those or Logic's own plugs, but I have a small project with a tight turnaround and haven't really worked with this kind of stuff before. Anyone have any idea which plugin I'm looking for? I know my description doesn't give you a whole lot, but if you know any such plugins that had more specific presets than just "square," "triangle," etc. I'd love to check them out. Thanks.

Looking for a good music player app

I have a problem. i'm looking for a good music player app for my new iphone (which i will buy my next month) in terms of playing music. after having 3 phones in the last 9 months i'm still unhappy.
Had a Samsung Galaxy Ace. sound was above average but due to underpowered processor + RAM (and Samsung stating they won't update the software anymore) i had to sell it.
Than had a Sony Ericcson Xperia Neo but felt the sound was "flat" and bland" and left me disappointed and uninspired coming from a well-known phone maker know for its audio & visual expertise.
Now, i currently have the HTC Desire S. umm although the sound was "Ok" with its usual pre-set equalizers (common among Android phones) and SRS sound enhancement it felt me wanting more and although i have the phone for a week now i would say "so far-so good."
but i heard the best music phones out there are those with either Beats Audio (which are very brand new) or the ones with Dolby Mobile.
had an iPod touch (4th-gen) and i was amazed and impressed by the sound quality.
so, if i can get away with a good music player app that recreates surround sound, has good preset EQ's along with customisable ones and one with Dolby-like support which app would you recommend?

Stock lock screen does not normally support 3rd party widgets so you wont find any third party players that allows you access while on lock screen.. No need to restrict your choice to the preset Pages Templates. Do a web search and choose a Word template. Pages will open Word documents and templates. Or design your own:
This is a Table I inserted into a blank Pages Word Processing document. Format the date column in Inspector > Table > Format > Cell Format. Select the first Date cell,then drag the fill handle down to increment the dates.

Looking for a reference manual that actually describes in detail all attributes for a command

I am using CS5. I am teaching myself Photoshop using their book, "Classroom in a book".
Thought the lessons, they will suggest specific setting for command attributes without describing exacting what these values mean.. For example, on page 88 they give the student specific settings for the Refine Edge dialog bog under the Quick Selection tool. They say, "To prepare the edge for a drop shadow, set Smooth to 24, Feather to 0.5, Contrast to 12, and Shift Edge to -21". Note: I am calling things like Smooth, Feather, Contrast, etc command attributes.
My question is not about this specific example, but all these attribute values for all the commands. For example, what does Shift Edge really do when negative or positive. My question is: does a reference, either a book, pdf, or a non-Adobe product (probably a book) exist that actually explains when each attribute actually does for every command? Basically looking for a boring detailed reference guide so when I am using a specific command, I can read about the attributes for the specific command and understand what the values really mean and not guess my trial and error.

To the top
Altitude For the Bevel and Emboss effect, sets the height of the light source. A setting of 0 is equivalent to ground level, 90 is directly above the layer. Angle Determines the lighting angle at which the effect is applied to the layer. You can drag in the document window to adjust the angle of a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, or Satin effect.
Anti-alias Blends the edge pixels of a contour or gloss contour. This option is most useful on small shadows with complicated contours. Blend Mode Determines how the layer style blends with the underlying layers, which may or may not include the active layer. In beveling and embossing, Contour allows you to sculpt the ridges, valleys, and bumps that are shaded in the embossing process. With shadows, Contour allows you to specify the fade. For more information, see Modify layer effects with contours. Distance Specifies the offset distance for a shadow or satin effect. You can drag in the document window to adjust the offset distance. Depth Specifies the depth of a bevel. It also specifies the depth of a pattern. Use Global Light This setting allows you to set one “master” lighting angle that is then available in all the layer effects that use shading: Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, and Bevel and Emboss. In any of these effects, if Use Global Light is selected and you set a lighting angle, that angle becomes the global lighting angle. Any other effect that has Use Global Light selected automatically inherits the same angle setting. If Use Global Light is deselected, the lighting angle you set is “local” and applies only to that effect. You can also set the global lighting angle by choosing Layer Style > Global Light. Gloss Contour Creates a glossy, metallic appearance. Gloss Contour is applied after shading a bevel or emboss. Gradient Specifies the gradient of a layer effect. Click the gradient to display the Gradient Editor, or click the inverted arrow and choose a gradient from the pop-up panel. You can edit a gradient or create a new gradient using the Gradient Editor. You can edit the color or opacity in the Gradient Overlay panel the same way you edit them in the Gradient Editor. For some effects, you can specify additional gradient options. Reverse flips the orientation of the gradient, Align With Layer uses the bounding box of the layer to calculate the gradient fill, and Scale scales the application of the gradient. You can also move the center of the gradient by clicking and dragging in the image window. Style specifies the shape of the gradient. Highlight or Shadow Mode Specifies the blending mode of a bevel or emboss highlight or shadow. Jitter Varies the application of a gradient’s color and opacity. Layer Knocks Out Drop Shadow Controls the drop shadow’s visibility in a semitransparent layer. Noise Specifies the number of random elements in the opacity of a glow or shadow. Enter a value or drag the slider. Opacity Sets the opacity of the layer effect. Enter a value or drag the slider. Pattern Specifies the pattern of a layer effect. Click the pop-up panel and choose a pattern. Click the New Preset button to create a new preset pattern based on the current settings. Click Snap To Origin to make the origin of the pattern the same as the origin of the document (when Link With Layer is selected), or to place the origin at the upper-left corner of the layer (if Link With Layer is deselected). Select Link With Layer if you want the pattern to move along with the layer as the layer moves. Drag the Scale slider or enter a value to specify the size of the pattern. Drag a pattern to position it in the layer; reset the position by using the Snap To Origin button. The Pattern option is not available if no patterns are loaded. Position Specifies the position of a stroke effect as Outside, Inside, or Center. Range Controls which portion or range of the glow is targeted for the contour. Size Specifies the radius and size of blur or the size of the shadow. Soften Blurs the results of shading to reduce unwanted artifacts. Source Specifies the source for an inner glow. Choose Center to apply a glow that emanates from the center of the layer’s content, or Edge toapply a glow that emanates from the inside edges of the layer’s content. Spread Expands the boundaries of the matte prior to blurring.
Style Specifies the style of a bevel: Inner Bevel creates a bevel on the inside edges of the layer contents; Outer Bevel creates a bevel on the outside edges of the layer contents; Emboss simulates the effect of embossing the layer contents against the underlying layers; Pillow Emboss simulates the effect of stamping the edges of the layer contents into the underlying layers; and Stroke Emboss confines embossing to the boundaries of a stroke effect applied to the layer. (The Stroke Emboss effect is not visible if no stroke is applied to the layer.)
Technique Smooth, Chisel Hard, and Chisel Soft are available for bevel and emboss effects; Softer and Precise apply to Inner Glow and Outer Glow effects.
Smooth Blurs the edges of a matte slightly and is useful for all types of mattes, whether their edges are soft or hard. It does not preserve detailed features at larger sizes. Chisel Hard Uses a distance measurement technique and is primarily useful on hard-edged mattes from anti-aliased shapes such as type. It preserves detailed features better than the Smooth technique.
Chisel Soft Uses a modified distance measurement technique and, although not as accurate as Chisel Hard, is more useful on a larger range of mattes. It preserves features better than the Smooth technique. Softer Applies a blur and is useful on all types of mattes, whether their edges are soft or hard. At larger sizes, Softer does not preserve detailed features.
Precise Uses a distance measurement technique to create a glow and is primarily useful on hard-edged mattes from anti-aliased shapes
such as type. It preserves features better than the Softer technique. Texture Applies a texture. Use Scale to scale the size of the texture. Select Link With Layer if you want the texture to move along with the layer as the layer moves. Invert inverts the texture. Depth varies the degree and direction (up/down) to which the texturing is applied. Snap To Origin makes the origin of the pattern the same as the origin of the document (if Link With Layer is deselected) or places the origin in the upper-left corner of the layer (if Link With Layer is selected). Drag the texture to position it in the layer.

Looking for automated way to test print PnP printer after install then delete

At times we test 20 to 30 printers in a day. I am looking for automated ways to increase the efficiency of this. I would like to simply have the printer install using PnP print a test page then delete itself after the test page or on removal. Are there any settings that can be changed on the computer to change the PnP process to make this possible. I am currently trying to learn and understand the Plug and play process so that I may find out how to get started. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I spent all day Googling and doing side by side comparisons of my old and new systems.
My display is a Dell U2410. It has several presets, including sRGB and Adobe RGB. I've been using sRGB.
On my OLD system, (Win XP, PsCS2, DwCS4) there seems to be no distinction between color managed and non color managed apps, even on this wide gamut display. I could capture (digital camera) in Adobe RGB, open and edit in PsCS2, save as .psd, convert to CMYK for print, or convert to sRGB for SFW. All images looked identical and they printed and displayed perfectly. I thought this was normal, and seemed logical. This also seems to be the source of my incorrect assumptions. I was trying to get my new machine to behave like my old one.
So I get this new machine (Windows 7, PsCS5, DwCS5) and now (still in sRGB display mode) all color managed apps appear de-saturated. Non color managed apps are OK. If I switch the display to Adobe RGB, color managed apps are OK, but non color managed apps are way too saturated. From my investigation, I believe this is normal behavior on a wide gamut display. I've tried changing the Control Panel > Display > Screen Resolution > Advanced settings > Color Management options, but to no avail. Either I'm missing something, or Windows 7 is doing color management differently.
It seems my only option now is to use Adobe RGB display setting for Ps, etc. and switch to sRGB for Dw and non color managed apps. Or, have 2 separate files for print and web. I've Googled 'til my eyes are numb and still not sure I'm getting this. Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for a 60s / 70's reverb sound

Hello,
I am new to Logic express and I am having trouble finding a reverb sound that sounds right to me. I feel the reverb plug-ins available within logic express are perhaps too sophisticated, ie room modelling reverbs, and so I guess I am looking for a 60’s and 70’s reverb sound, would that be a plate reverb?
Has anyone had any success getting that type of reverb sound out of any of the plug-ins that come with Logic express or are there any plug-ins you would recommend I look to purchase?

Thanks for replying. Logic Express has the following reverb plugins; AVerb, SilverVerb, GoldVerb, and PlatinumVerb, I think this is the same as Logic Pro except that logic Pro has Space designer as well.
AVerb is the simplest but like the rest, sounds digital and metallic, which unfortunately does not lend itself to what I’m doing. I have played with the various presets but just can’t get close to what I have in my head.
I fear the answer possibly lies in finding the right plug-in but really don’t know where to start looking.

Looking for Windows files on a Mac

On my Macbook Pro OS X 10.9.4 Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR 3 when starting a existing project I get a message about a file the program is not able to load.
So it asks me to point the location. The question is as follows: Where is the file 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiers Pro 1.5\Presets\Textures\Business Title_7.tga'?
I'm using a Mac and when I search for the file it's not on my computer.
It's looking for a file in a curtain folder.
Could you give an advise what to do?

I’m using Adobe Premiere Elements 12
Version 12.1 (20140225.12.1.620828)
I get the message when opening an already made project in which I added a Title.
In the ones without a title I don’t get the message.
So it is something connected to the use of titles.
I used RedBulbs as a title.
When I click ‚Skip’ or Offline my project opens correctly and I don’t miss any media. Even the title part is OK.
I hope this describes the problem enough and hopefully you can give me some advise.

when you open a new project or do you get this message only when you go to open an existing project?
If only for existing projects, then please tell us if this existing project was created with title templates and/or Instant Movie themes.
If so please detail.
If you click "Skip" to the "Where is the file....?" message, does your project open without problem? And if so, do you see any missing media
displays in the workspace? And if so where?

Looking for updateTask, delegateTask samples

Hi all,
I'm looking for some complete and good samples of how to use updateTask, deletegateTask, ... in workflow context (BPEL manager or java API).
The scenario is quite simple:
- a user U1 has to complete a task
- after a while, if U1 does not complete it, the task will be transfer to user U2
- ... etc
U2 is a random user. There is no hierarchical link between U1 and U2 so it's not a "real" escalation scenario ...
I hope somebody can help me ...

1. Yes, AKAI converts ok to EXS, no sweat!
2. Logic! Open the EXS, drag the 4 CD-Roms to A Folder on the HD,
if this folder is on a different partition from Logic, make an Alias
of that folder and drag it to the Library (have a peak on the manual
to know where to drop it, probably: System>Library>Application Support>Logic>Sampler Instruments).
Then in EXS (top right) Click on options AKAI Convert.
Simple.
3. I have my samples on a 5400rpm drive (Powerbook).
I have a dedicated drive for audio (7200 rpm LACie).
To convert and load samples for the first time it may took you a bit.
but once you have load a bank it's pretty fast.
I've just Loading say, the London Choir Ahs Bank (boys & girls),
in 2 to 3 secounds! :o)
Once it's loaded it's just like a preset, don't worry.
