I do Director projects locally as well as in collaboration
with people in
different parts of the world. Working remotely is not that
difficult in
today's age. However, there are still times when someone
local is vital to
the project co-ordination and outcome.

I have experience in numerous languages, most recently LabView, LabWindows/CVI, and TestStand, but also including 'C', Visual Basic, FORTRAN, and Z80 assembler. So Opt(alt) on the Mac should map to Alt on PC.

  • Richter Studios looking for Director / Flash Developers

Richter Studios is an award-winning multimedia firm based in
Chicago.  We specialize in high-definition videos,
presentations, web experiences and print materials for a wide
variety of clients.  We are a broad-based creative firm that
    includes Animators, Cinematographers, Designers, Editors,
Photographers, Programmers, Producers and Writers.  To date,
our in-house production crews have shot in 24 states and 7
countries.  We also develop and market our own PowerPoint
killer called Presented By and sell our own stock video/imagery as
    well.
We are presently seeking seasoned Flash and
Director/Shockwave developers (both full-time and freelance) to
assist with a variety of projects. Flash candidates must have
extensive knowledge of Action Script 2/3, object oriented
programming, work with content management systems and the ability
to create and extend classes. Knowledge of Flash Media Server
technologies and server side scripting is a plus. Good animation
skills are always welcome. Director candidates must have extensive
knowledge of Lingo, offline/online database connectivity, Flash
integration, object oriented programming and Xtra functionality.
Multi-User experience and Xtra development would be a plus.
No two days are typically the same at our studio. On any
given day we can be working on interactive CD product demo’s,
custom presentations, application development, animations, games,
trade show experiences, recruitment tools, etc. We also create a
lot of web experiences, either in Flash / HTML or various web 2.0
technologies. Most of our web experiences involve interactive video
content, so a genuine interest in working with Web 2.0 experiences
    is required.
Our experience has made it clear to us that the right
candidate would possess strong programming knowledge, is a genuine
self-starter and committed team player (translation: overtime does
occur from time to time). Excellent organizational skills are a
major plus and, above all else, a fast work ethic is paramount.
Finally, from a code standpoint we strongly believe that less is
more. Ideally a candidate that can solve a complex issue with a few
lines rather than an over complicated 5 page script is who we are
    looking for.
    Specific Skills
    - 2 to 4 years experience creating Flash or
    Director/Shockwave content
Firm grasp of object oriented programming
Innate ability to solve complex tasks with simple re-useable
    code.
Innate desire to comment and document all code.
    Must be very detail oriented
Working knowledge of Illustrator and PhotoShop.
    Excellent grasp of web technologies
    Proven fast work ethic

  • Looking for APO training in Detroit area or online

    Hello.
I am brand new to SAP, and hoping to learn APO and combine it with my profesisonal experience for a new career direction. I have included a brief summary of my experience and education at the end of this post.
I am looking for a quality online /eLearning course for APO or a live course in the Detroit area to supplement my official SAP Education USA courses. I am much in need of SAP system access / lab setting for practicing etc.
I have taken SAP01 through SAP Education USA, and scheduled for:
SCM130     SAP R/3 Planning and Manufacturing Overview
SCM200     Business Processes in Planning (SCM)
    Thank you,
    Brian
    Brief background:
*Brand new to SAP, and not currently working with it
*Experienced Supply Chain / manufacturing professional, exculsively in a Big Three automotive company (non-manager)
    *MBA, (Supply Chain Management concentration)
    *MS, Information Technology Management
*Process experience in EDI, JIT, lean, planning, forecasting, scheduling, material releasing
*Cross functional experience in logistics, purchasing, sales and marketing (demand and volume planning)
*Excellent system / technology skills including experience with i2 Integrated Volume Planning (IVP) and Gateline Optimization Product (GOP)

    Hi Brian,
It is unfortunate but there are no real reliable people for teaching particularly APO. The best bet I would say is sap itself. It is worth every penny. I searched for people all over US and burnt my hands few places as well as they took money but did not teach even what they said.  APO itself if fairly new and very few people expertise in it.
Read the material first before going to the certification. I am sure with your background, you should be able to grab the topics fairly easily.I think the only uphill task for you is to understand how SAP deal with the supply chain not understanding the topics of SCM.
    All the best.

  • Looking for an author to write a book on Flash CS5

I'm searching for a qualified individual(s) who might be interested in writing an intermediate-advanced level book for the retail market. Please contact me directly for more information at [email protected]  Thanks so much!

For just +processing words+ (aka "writing"), you can even use the pre-installed TextEdit.
It uses the built-in Mac OS X spell-checking and dictionary features. You can change fonts and formatting in the typical ways. It has find and replace features. You can save files in the plain text, standard RTF (rich text format), PDF, or even Microsoft Word format.
What more do you need for writing (without some bloated mega-program with ten toolbars getting in the way of your creativity)?

  • Looking for the free apps that are supposed to come with MacBook.

I was told instead of a recieving a CD I had to download software like iPhoto from iTunes. The only option I see is to pay for it. I was told it was included. What am I missing?

When I got my Late 2011 MBP in Dec., it had Lion and did NOT have any of the iLife components. After I migrated all my stuff from the corpse of my Early 2008 MBP with Leopard, lo and behold, iLife sprang to life again. And was even allowed to upgrade each component to the latest version, via the App Store, for free.
