We would like to receive some contact information about distribution companies in Europe who have been selected by Creative to sell products to us, resellers.
We are located in the Netherlands but that is not even important we just search a distribution company with nice prices for a large range of soundcards and gaming accessoires like headsets.

Looking for international Apple distributors

Hi,
I know this doesn't belong here but I can't find any other forum to post this on.
I am looking for the page on the apple website where it says and lists all the international Apple resellers/distributors. I can only find the US ones. I remember once reading a page where it had Egypt listed among other countries with the distributors/agent names.
Any clues???

Looking for accesories for my 920 in europe

I bought my nokia lumia 920 in november last year and im still not able to find all the accesories i need... Im looking for a DT-910 and a MD- 310 also mabye you can give me the release date for the CR-200??

Living in Norway so events should be held in Europe.
Have been looking for it a while now, without any luck.

There is a new BPA class called "Oracle BPA Suite: Model and Implement Business Processes" being rolled out right now. Unfortunately the only class planned in Europe will be run in German, but you could contact your local Oracle office and ask what the upcomming plans for Norway (or Scandinavia) are.

INT. HDs for MPro in Europe

Greetings Forum,
I need some help finding INT.HDs in Europe. Specifically Spain, but online in Europe works too.
What I'm looking for -
INT. HD for MacPro 2.66, more than 500gigs in size, good for video editing in non-RAID configuration. Source material is DV.
I would consider 2 - 400gig drives in a RAID Configuration, but I'd prefer to put only 1 drive because this is for 1 project only.
I've found this site and it looks OK. Never dealt with them so if anyone has, please let me know.

Yeah, I've been reading this forum page since/before I ordered my MPro and noticed Ned was here as well. Actually hoped he'd throw something down.
Thinking of going with 2 of the WD5000KS. (What the project can afford now)
Wasn't planning on RAIDing them, but thinking about it.
For now, they'll be pretty much dedicated to this one project. But for the future, thinking I could archive the material to an EXT. drive and have a 1TB INT. RAID.
At that point possibly getting another and making it 1.5TBs.
Any thoughts on this that you'd like to share?

I am aware of this filter.
With a little experimentation I did achieve the effect I was more or less going for by simply adding a bezier shape of a half moon on top of my sphere, but under the mask. Then I used a radial black and white gradient on the bezier crescent shape and lowered the opacity down to allow the rotating earth continents to still show through. It works... However AE's CC Sphere filter is much handier and easier to use. I do prefer working in Motion more over AE, and little hurdles like these are great exercises.

Looking for a laptop

I am looking for a laptop which I can use in the studio or at my parent's holiday house. At the moment, I have to use 2 computers, a Power Mac G5 1.6 GHZ system for audio and MIDI sequencing, etc. and a PC for adding lyrics to melody lines in Sonar for backing tracks which I program for a local midifile company. I switch between the two with a KVM switch.
I have been quite interested in the new Intel laptops. Are they a lot quicker than my G5 for doing what I want to do? Could I sell my current G5 1.6 GHZ and get a laptop? Will my Emagic MT4 interface work on both OSX and Windows?
I have an internal drive on my G5 for audio purposes. Could I take that out and put that into an e-SATA enclosure and use an e-SATA Express card on my laptop so that I can use a much faster internal drive than a Firewire?
Last question. (Sorry for this long post) Is there a carrying bag that I can use to carry a laptop, my Mobile I/O soundcard, hard drives and extra accessories, etc so that I can easily set up and disconnect with minimum fuss?

hi,
any of the current intel mac laptops will completely toast your G5 1.6. they are all great machines for logic. as a rough guide, a core 2 duo 2.33 MBP can run at least the same number, if not slightly more plug ins than a dual processor or dual core G5 of the same clock speed. my C2D 2.33 MBP is clearly faster than my dual 2.0 Ghz G5.
I personally went for a MBP 17" because I wanted the biggest display size I could get without having to depend on an additional monitor to feel comfortable working with logic. I have not regretted that decision at all.
as for your drive going into an e-sata box.. I can't really say, although I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. still, unless you have very heavy track count requirements, FW would be more than adequate and a little less fuss. but, another advantage to going the e-sata route is that you totally leave your FW bandwidth free, so you won't be running into trouble if you have a FW audio interface that needs lots of bandwidth for lots of channels. or, if you wanted to use something like a liquid mix. btw, don't forget that these days, you'll actually get pretty extraordinary performance from the internal laptop drive (at least compared to the old days when it was not even an option), but this is still not the most recommended way to work.
as far as a carrying solution goes.. well, oddly enough I've been looking into the very same thing myself. I found a company called gigskinz that make bags for all sorts of musical instruments, small portable producer setups, DJs and the like. there are ones that have a laptop sleeve, extra storage for mics and other assorted gear. actually, the one that I saw that looked most usable for me on their site was a DJ/producer bag. it has the laptop sleeve, and then larger compartments for records and CDs, but I would use them for other gear. it is also fitted with wheels and a long handle so you can carry it like luggage if it gets too heavy. they all have padding and fluffy stuff inside to keep things from scratching. it looks pretty good. the thing is, I just happen to be in australia myself also (for family reasons) and I couldn't find a distributor for gigskinz in australia. I emailed them and got no response at all.. my cousin in LA is going to go check them out for me, but I may well pick one up next time I'm in LA or when I'm back in paris as I'm a little worried about getting the wrong thing if I don't see it first.
but hey, if you do some research yourself, I'd love to hear of any other options you come up with. FYI, I'd need to carry a MBP 17", a rode NTK mic and powersupply, a mindprint trio interface, a couple of lacie FW drives (including the double size 500GB one), and then a wireless keyboard mouse and other various little things, plus cables of course.
actually it might be a good idea to start a thread on this.. there have to be some users out there that have found the killer solution for transporting a portable logic rig.

The US are running this class virtually starting on 27th April so as long as you don't mind some late evenings (I assume you are based in Europe?) you could sign up to this class. Details can be found via the link.

Movie rentals that I downloaded onto iMac with Lion to do not show up on ATV 2 in menu for computers. Purchased movies show up just fine. What to do or look for?

I have an imac that is running lion and an Apple TV generation 2. I have rented a movie from itunes and it shows up on my imac in Itunes under a rental icon, and will play fine on my computer. However, it does not show up as choice to play on my apple tv. I have homesharing enabled and everything else works fine including purchased movies that are on my imac, but no where does it show rental movies.
What do I look for? What do I do to play the rental movie on my apple tv 2?

Answer to my own question:
Wait until the downloaded rental has completed its download to the imac. This took a long time for me, since it was part of several things that I was downloading at the same time.
Finally, it showed up on my apple tv. Interestingly, I was able to watch much of the movie on my iMac before the movie finished its download and was available to the ATV 2.
