Looking for drive config suggestions

I am going to reconfigure my Mac Pro to enable the use of all 4 tb of internal hard drive space. I currently use a software raid 10 array that seems unstable and I need more drive space anyway. I don't really need speed, just space and some redundancy.
I am thinking of changing the 4 internal drives to a software raid 0 array and using a 3tb 4 bay external usb drive (raid o as well) for Time Machine. I will also periodically copy my iphoto & itunes library to an external drive for off site storage.
I was looking into the highpoint 4320 and Raid 5 but I dont like the idea of being a possible victim of poor or slow driver coding when Snow Leopard arrives. I also understand people use one internal disk as a system disk and raid 0 the other 3 for content but I'd like to keep everything on one disk for simplicity.
Just trying to keep things as simple as possible with 8 disks in play. I would appreciate any suggestions.

PM is great for running more than 4 drives, and making better use of your PCI slots for controllers.
Even the Sonnet E2P $79 is 2-channel PM card.
Then buy an enclosure that supports PM.
Strongly recommend investing in FirmTek 5PM, costs but quiet and easy way to handle 4 drives direct connect.
Buy a 2TB WD Green $299.
One 4-channel PM SATA controller can support up to 20 drives using 4 x 5-drive cases. That is 4-8TB per case and 15-30TB.
One enclosure as backup A, one as B, and one as 4-10TB of raw live data.
You can't go wrong with PCI SATA controller. There are a number of choices and options. AMUG and Barefeats have some ideas and reviews. Sonnet and FirmTek are easy for me to recommend and worked with both for 10 and 5 yrs respectfully.
So you have one enclosure now to get you started and while not PM at least you have something. Always nice to include the make/model so I can look at it.... (or did I miss that somewhere?). Just don't want you using USB for anything other than casual single drive duty.

We have a LabVIEW driver for the 35670A on our website, but not a CVI driver. There is, however, a CVI driver for a 3561A (another HP Dynamic Signal Analyzer). The command sets should be similar and so you should be able to modify the 3561A's driver to work with the 35670A.

I'd like to clarify some of the terms being used to hopefully help address your question.
When communicating with an instrument there are a couple of "drivers". For the GPIB card that is used to connect to the instruments NI has NI-488.2:

VISA is also a driver and provides an abstraction for different busses. For example, you can use a VISA driver to communicate with an instrument via serial or GPIB with the same programming API.
An instrument driver is a high level API that contains functions or VIs for generating the right commands to communicate with an instrument.
On the Instrument Driver Network there is an instrument driver for the 4

This is a contirubted driver, not from NI or the manufacturer, and does not use VISA but uses GPIB VIs. The best way to determine the functionality of the driver is to open the VI in the llb that has an "_tree" suffix.
If you have a VISA based driver that is not in LabVIEW for the instrument you may be able to convert it for use in LabVIEW. For one thing you can call into any dll. If the driver is a CVI driver you can convert it for use in LabVIEW and reduce some of the burden involved with generating the VIs:

Looking for driv

Im looking for drivers for my sound card. After installing vista it didnt work and i cant find the driver CD it came with. I tried searching for the vista drivers but i cant find any which worked. Then running windows update it detected and installed some drivers. In device manager it says Creative EMU0K. Ive tried everything to get the sound working but nothing. I did some research and found that the EMU0K is the chip and not the sound card. I cant run autoupdater as vista isnt supported. Please help? i need the drivers/creative apps for it.

You got a quite old install disc. You can also try to get a newer version of the install disc via this thread: http://forums.creative.com/creativel...hread.id=25677
- Go to the mentioned thread and click on the link for the site where you can find install disc for your SB li've 5. digital.
- Install via Windows XP Compatibiltiy mode if nothing works, since Creative Labs ceased to support all emu0k, soundblaster li've series, for Windows Vista, so no official driver are released by Creative Labs.

Uniquelizer plugin (which doesn't work in 10.7, or above - as an Audio unit...) and am looking for something very like it
- unlimited number of EQ bands, excellent filters, sounds great and is not "vintage" style or sounding.
Definitely don't want Waves and I already have some UAD plugs (typically made to be Vintage or emulate a particular
hardware product). Any ideas, please.

colours of background images of websites are all mapped to white and as such are invisible.
I guess the reason could be that the last event of the WIN 10 microsoft basic diplay adapter driver install was: Das Gerät "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0BE2&SUBSYS_40121297&REV_09\3&11583659&0&10" erfordert weitere Installationen.
If it wants to install further driver stuff this can only be the driver for the INTEL intel GMA 3650 graphic accelerator chip,
which is present on my motherboard.

I looked at the LabVIEW driver (which I would recomend you use instead of the CVI one) as well and could not find the exact same names in there either. It's likely that the driver has undergone some revisions over the years. The last rev is fairly recent but I have no way of knowing when the change occured. Unless someone from NI can pull something from the archive, you may have to use the new functions which from the names at least, do seem to about the same thing.

I've been working on and with a VS2013 Update 2 / Azure SDK 2.3 Cloud Service project for a while now and never had a problem debugging it (setting the .ccproj Project as Startup Project) but at the moment I cannot Debug it anymore - I always get the following
error message:
Failed to debug the Windows Azure Cloud Service project. The output directory 'D:\Workspace\Development\Sources\AzureBackend\csx\Backend - Debug' does not exist.
Now what's odd here, is the last part - the "Backend - Debug" is the Solution configuration name, ALL projects in that particular solution configuration are set to the Debug Configuration. The .ccproj file also only specifies Debug|Any CPU (and
Release|Any CPU respectively) as its output folder(s). Why is the Solution config appearing up there?
And more importantly.. why is this happening and what can I do?!

connect bug and these sorts of issues do appear around the forums but none contains a solution (neither reinstalling the Azure SDK nor cloaking the workspace/re-retrieving & building everything worked).

I already tried de-installing everything Azure-Tooling related including the Azure SDK, Restarting my machine and re-installing the SDK.
Same result. I can build the .ccproj perfectly fine and the cspack file IS generated perfectly fine, only debugging does not work and there's NO information in the VS output window (again - all projects succeed to build).
I tried explicitely running VS as Administrator, no change. I removed all IIS Express sites (as the ccproj has one web worker role), remapped my local TFS workspace.. nothing helped.
As building works, deploying to Azure Cloud Service (manually and via Publish inside VS) all works -perfectly-, I am pretty sure this IS a bug and I'd LOVE to help to get this fixed. As I said, currently I cannot debug and/or run & test my work, hence
I cannot do ANY work.

I'm a non-professional "at home" programmer and want to set up and experiment with Source Control. The available options seem to be CVS, Subversion and Perforce, although I gather that CVS is 'old technology' replaced by Subversion.
My requirements (desires)
A) Run on 10.4.11
B) integrate with XCode, but can be accessed without it when desired
C) have a GUI interface (can use command line, but prefer GUI)
D) can store non-text documents (like Word Processing and Spreadsheets - not necessarily graphics)
What are advantages/disadvantages of Subversion vs Perforce?
What are the best GUIs for Subversion?
Any suggestions / advice would be appreciated.

There are actually quite a few more than that. Plus, Perforce is commercial software. I believe it can be used for free under some circumstances, such as yours.
It sounds like you have bought into the Subversion propaganda There is nothing wrong with CVS. It is super easy to setup and use. It is more a competitor to Subversion than being replaced by it. In fact, I would now call Subversion 'old technology' replaced by Git.

I can't answer any other questions as I've never really used Subversion or Perforce. I tried to install the Subversion server but gave up because it was way too complicated. I like CVS - sweet and simple.

Apple LaserWriter 16/600 PS with Win 7 (64bit): Looking for driver software

can anybody tell me where to find the driver software for the Apple LaserWriter 16/600 PS connected to my Windows PC running Windows 7 (64Bit). With Win XP there was no problem at all, the printer got connected via plug and play, whereas with Win 7 I can't get it to work.
If there is no original WIN7 compatible driver version available, is there any other printer driver that could be used instead.
Any help is very much appreciated.
