Looking for Email Confirmation solution for a Stationary Printer. Is LiveCycle for me?

Hi there, we are printers and wanted to know if LiveCycle was the right thing for us.
Basically we would like to be able to email a pdf document to a client which includes a few fields for them to fill in and a tick box for them to tick.
We would also like to insert a copy of our artwork in the pdf document or attached to it.
Can anyone point us into the right direction?
Also are there any tutorials online that show us how this can be done? Just want to see how easy/hard it would be to do this.

You could use LiveCycle Designer to build the fillable form. You can embed images in the form or add them as attachments. Lastly you could make use of the mail client on the machine that the form is being viewed to email the form where it needs to go.
You can get Designer when you buy Acrobat.

I am using microsoft outlook for email in firefox. When I select the envelope for email it takes me to a mailto window in outlook which I have to close.

I am using microsoft outlook for email on latest version of firefox. In the applications window the only selection for outlook is mailto. When I select the envelope it takes me to outlook, however the first page is a mailto page with a link to my home page. I have to close that and get to my email page. How can I skip the mailto and go right to the outlook inbox page? Thank you.

I may have made a mistaken assumption that you were using Outlook.com (online webmail). If you are using Microsoft Office Outlook, then you actually would need an add-on to put a button for that program on the toolbar. I'm not sure if there is one specific to Outlook, but there is an extension named Custom Buttons that can be tweaked to do a wide range of things.

But... I 'm not sure it's worth the effort because you usually can switch between Firefox and Outlook pretty quickly using the Windows Task Bar or Alt+Tab (keep holding Alt after you release Tab to see all the open windows and then Tab to the one you want).

Mobileme Apple ID disabled. Only used for email/contacts/calendar.

My Apple ID has been disabled for the 3rd time. I have never used my mobileme Apple ID for any iTunes purchases. I've only used it for email. I use my yahoo.com Apple ID for purchases. To clarify, I've used my yahoo email address as my Apple ID for purchases. I don't understand why it would be an issue for an account that was never used for any types of purchases whatssoever.
The spate of problems I've had with this account have been neverending. Email forwarding rules being abruptly changed, deleted contacts when I transferred from mobileme, delayed email, and now this.
Is there any end in sight?

Yes, thanks for asking, I switched to icloud.com, I am aware it was mandatory to switch to iCloud after June 30 2012, so I decided to embrace the change and took the plunge a few days after iCloud was announced. Thats when the problems began.
The issue has been persistent ever since the data hack was announced by the media. I reset my AppleID password last night and it wouldn't accept my new password, but accepted the old one.

Can't find website and do I need an upgrade for emails?

I created my website in Muse greyowlenv.businesscatalyst.com and then earlier tonight upgraded my site and added my purchased domain www.greyowlenv.com. I also went to go Daddy and set the servers to worldsecuresystems. The trouble I am having is that when I type in my url www.greyowlenv.com I get directed to the Go Daddy site...see screen print. What else do I need to do to have it go live?
Secondly, with my yearly Creative Cloud subscription I was told that included hosting and email accounts. But when I go to site settings there is no menu for email accounts. Am I needing to pay additional for this when I was told this service was included?
Lastly, do I need to do anything with the ARecords, CNAME Records MX Records or Advanced DNS records? Because I found the instructions confusing???

The url is coming up under www so I suspect possibly propagation which has since resolved.
In regards to CC subscription you are correct that it comes with 5 entitled hosted sites on BC however the plan by default will be under "webBasic" and does not include email hosted service.
"What are the limitations of the Business Catalyst websites that come with Creative Cloud?
You will be limited to 100 MB of storage and 1 extra user (could be your customer). You are not entitled to emails, SMSes or newsletters for this web plan."

For EP 7.0, you would have to go for BP for Learning 1.0.

Yes, it will affect roaming profiles. Please rename the roaming profile folder as the new user account name, in addition, change the profile path in ADUC.

What is the best way to make PSDs into HTML for emails? Will the new feature in Dreamweaver work for emails as well? I am using Cheetah mail, but I need to be able to turn PSDs into HTML so I can use it in Cheetah mail. I have a general idea of how to do this, but I'm stumped about where to begin.

Use PShop for images only. Use DW to create your tables and inline CSS styles.
Many e-mail clients do not show images for security reasons. So graphics heavy e-mails are not an optimal way to communicate with your mailing list.

HT2486 Address Book Groups for emailing

I had groups that worked Back in December '11 (for emailing) and now they don't, and haven't for a few months. It's driving me crazy. Anyone have any ideas of what might have changed in the meantime? I'm using iPad 2, iPhone 4Gs, and a new desktop Mac. All software is up-to-date.

Had the same problem, went crazy over it... I don't believe how simple it was to solve : once you created your adress group in adress book, you have to QUIT mail and QUIT the adress book. Once you reopen Mail, it will work... But you might not be able to have more then 25 members in your group, the adress must all be good, and some mail server will want you to put yourself in the "to" field and your group in the BCC field.
At least, that works with Lion 10.7.5.

Is it ok if I never got my email confirmation for an online order? When I log into the site with my order number and zip, it shows the date I have printed out, but I never did get the email confirmation after 24 hours like it said I would. Its been a couple of weeks now since I set the order

Looking for camera picture solution

Anyone knows which 3rd package can detect camera postions and take pictures or any solutions. Thanks

You can try the Java Twain API http://www.gnome.sk
It's a package which enables you to connect to your scanner or camera directly from a java application.
If you just want to see how Java Twain works with your scanner or camera:
- java (1.2 or higher for Windows, 1.3 or higher for Mac OS X) has to be installed on your computer
- a scanner or camera has to be installed on your computer
- download the trial package from http://www.gnome.sk
- unzipp it
- go to the examples directory of the unzipped package
- in Windows: doubleclick the runExampleShow.bat
- in MacOS:
- open the Terminal window
- change the working directory to the examples
- run .sh file (type ExampleShow.sh or sh ExampleShow.sh)
This will pop up the Twain Source Selection user interface. There, all your scanners and cameras which do have a twain driver should be listed. (About 90% of scanners and cameras on the market do have a twain driver for Windows, only a few do have a twain driver for MacOS.) Select one of them. The user interface of the selected scanner (camera) will appear. Confirm the scanning (you can set the scanning parameters first). The scanned image will be displayed in a separate window. To end the application, close that window.
Running different examples, you can test scanning with hidden UI, saving the scanned image, using ADF, ...
