Ignore the advice. That is the current version of the Toshiba HW Setup Utility for your model. Check the downloads site above.
In any case, I recommend you do not update these things unless there is a good reason.

    hello
when i am browsing toshiba support, my model doesnt show up in the lists, i know only that it is from the toshiba tecra m10 series, ptmb3u-0hv01f model.
    is it a s1001, s3412, sp2901, 12e, 16a, 12e, 105 or whatever model??
i understand that there are many variations to a model, but why the lack of information on this model?
please tell me which model i have, so that i can find the support i need.
    regards

That one may have been specially made for a big-box store chain.
Models in the same part-number family use essentially the same drivers and utilities and differ only in details. Compare the specs of these examples with yours.

  • Looking for model

    Hi there,
I don't have much experience in using apple product. But recently I am helping my friend to purchase a imac (desktop) supporting high-spec graph card. We are aiming at the Quadro K5200 or Quadro K5000. But seems that none of the online products have that video card equipped. So instead of using the built-in video card, is that any way we customize the model while we order the iMac online? If no, what model you suggest which supports that graph card? And is it easy to get it installed to the iMac? Thanks.

The directions to replace a graphics card in iMac can be found here https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iMac+Intel+24-Inch+EMC+2267+Graphics+Card+Replaceme nt/13765
Thanks a lot. It doesn't sound easy to replace it. So which online model has best video (GPU) supports you recommend? Thanks.

  • Looking for Model # on Time Capsule

How do you find the model number of my airport time capsule? The bottom is not legible.

    Open your airport utility.
Hold down the option key and double click the TC icon.
You will get the full summary page.. at the top of the list is Model.
But you should see it on the label if you use a magnifying glass.. it is molded into the first line of the rubber on older ones.. and on the label on later.

You will have to do the checking for what is available in The Netherlands, or else be very, very patient for somebody else in your area to come by who can tell you which store to go to.  I suggest looking for models similar to the one I indicated in the link.  Do make sure they are specified as being Mac compatible.  Mac drivers are usually built into a device so don't buy one one for a PC in the hope that you can find a Mac driver online.  Only in a few cases are Mac drivers featured as separate files.

  • I am looking for a programmable linear actuator which can travel 18in in vertical direction. If some one can suggest me with apprapriate model it wil be a very helpful for me.Thank you

We want to put the actuator in a vessel with diameter of 9''and fix it to the flat bottom vertically.
Also the actuator should be in the center axis of the vessel. The active end of the actuator will be
connected to our sample holder which we can design according to the actuator.
Now we want to control it to realize reciprocating motion.
    For example:
    1) go up to15'' and hold 30 min;
    2) go down to 5'' and hold 15min;
    3) repeat 1) and 2) 50 times.
    Vessel Pressure: 150psi; Temperature: 50-70℃(estimate)

    Hey Li,
Check this site Stage Advisor, for a list of motors that will travel at least 15'' and that are compatible with our Motion Controllers.
You can always just go to the Advisors for Motion to change the specs you want to look for.

After taking days to upload elements 13 I am now having trouble even trying to import my images and videos into the program for editing. Each time I IMPORT files an error message comes up that says " ....has stopped working, we are looking for a solution to the problem and will notify you if a solution is found"  I have not been able to edit ANYTHING or even drag files/images to the time line.... is it me? is my computer too slow? surely if it was, then Adobe elements 13 would not have installed in the first place? please someone help me sort this out as I have a deadline to make for a docco! thanks in advance Lyddy

•You MUST use an account with Administrator Privileges to run Premiere Elements
•(Doing Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 [says Encore and also for "All" versions of Premiere] will sometimes fix "odd" errors)
•What version of Premiere Elements? Include the minor version number (e.g., Premiere Elements 12 with the 12.1 update)
•What operating system? This should include specific minor version numbers, like "Mac OSX v10.9.4"---not just "Mac"
•Has this ever worked before?  If so, do you recall any changes you made to Premiere Elements, such as adding Plug-ins, brushes, etc.?  Did you make any changes to your system, such as updating hardware, printers or drivers; or installing/uninstalling any programs?
•Have you installed any recent program or OS updates? (If not, you should. They fix a lot of problems.)
•What kind(s) of image file(s)? When talking about camera raw files, include the model of camera.
•If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)?

  • Looking for some info, Creative is not much help.

Looking for some info, Creative is not much help. Ok, right now I have an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum. It can use the digital inputs to decode either Dolby Digital, DD EX, DTS, and DTS ES to the analog speaker outputs. (Also a 5. setup.)
I recently built a new PC, and would like to replace the sound card, but I use that feature (as well as some others). Seeing how Creative doesn't want to easily display the capabilities of there cards, I would like someone to let me know what card will allow the fallowing in Windows XP, Vista, and theoretically Windows 7.
Hardware decoding of Dolby Digital, DD EX, DTS, and DTS ES and allow a proper 5. playback through analog speakers.
Recording of whatever is playing out of the the speakers. The recording selection is labeled "What U Hear")
The reasons behind me wanting to buy a new card are simply that I would prefer to run it through PCI-Express, and have full compatibility at the release of Windows 7 without any loss of features I need. From what I can tell, if things work in Windows Vista they will work in [email protected]

All I can say to you (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is that Xtremegamer's doesn't decode DD/DTS via hardware with official drivers (altough they're capable of - all X-Fi are capable of decoding). XtremeMusic does the job with official drivers. I don't know the rest of the models. Someone adds [email protected]

The issue with the A1400 is that like most economy compact cameras, they will not have very fast focus times in indoor lighting situations. Many people have gone to entry level DSLR's (Canon T3i) or micro 4/3 cameras. They are fairly expensive, but a late model refurbished T3i can sometimes be found with a kit lens for about $300.00. With Auto and scene modes, as well as full manual modes, these are very versatile cameras that focus very quickly, even in lower lighting situations. Canon is not really into the micro 4/3 cameras, instead they are focusing on the new G7x and G1x cameras, which are way out of your price range. The A720 is still available used at some places such as KEH camera, but you'll need to check often as their stock changes constantly. Obviously the DSLR's don't use AA batteries, but the T3i is good for about 600 photos (or more) per charge.
My refurbished DSLR was practically brand new condition when I got it. I could not find any sign of wear at all, so I feel they are a real bargain. These are rugged cameras that are made to last. The A1400 is a $99.00 camera, so it's not intended for heavy usage, plus the image quality of a DSLR (even entry level) is far better than the A1400. That would be my recommendation.

  • Looking for a Good White Paper on Oracle Data Modeling

Hopefully this is the proper area in which to ask this questions - been looking around these boards for a while but can't find what I'm looking for. I'd like to get a good modeling overview for topics such as:
-- pros and cons of normalization, e.g., performance considerations when deciding to normalize some data (and incur the cost of joins) vs keeping it denormalized (and having simpler queries)
    -- overall performance considerations
-- warehouse vs mart considerations, esp as they relate to front end tools that will sit on the data mart
A general data modeling white paper or PDF would be very helpful to get me started.
    Thanks all!
    Mike

You don't need a White Paper you need a college course or a book.
The book I have on my shelf, don't know if it is still in print, is CASE*METHOD Entity Relationship Modelling by Richard Barker
    Addison-Wesley Publishing Company
    ISBN 0-201-41696-4
Normalization isn't about pros and cons. For performance denormalize. For data integrity normalize. Most systems end up somewhere between 3N and 4N or with what is referred to as Boyce-Codd NF. Google is your friend here but buy the book or take the course. This is not a subject to be read lightly in a dozen or so pages.

    Hi,
Unfortunately, I was unable to locate a driver for your instrument. I would like you to submit a request for this driver at: http://zone.ni.com/idnet97.nsf/instrumentdriverrequest/ and with the instrument manufacturer. We develop drivers based on demand and popularity so the more requests we have for it, the greater the possibility that we will develop one.
If you would like to try developing your own instrument driver (or modify the existing one), we have documentation, model instrument drivers, and driver templates to help at :

We also have a syndicate of third party vendors that specialize in National Instruments' products and services. Some of the vendors specialize in driver development. I would s

    http://www.ni.com/alliance
An instrument driver is a collection of functions that implement the commands necessary to perform the instruments operations. In short, someone read the instrument user manual and implemented some of the functionality in a program for the end user. Instrument drivers are not necessary to use your instrument. They are merely time savers to help you develop your project so you do not need to study the manual before writing a program.
There are example VI's in LV on Instrument Connectivity. If you go to the Help menu >> Examples.. >> I/O, you will see a couple and Examples.. >> Fundamentals for File and String manipulation. I would suggest tweaking them to suit your application. Also the specific command that your instrument responds to can be found from it's manual.
Some useful resources for your application are

  • Finder crashes when "looking for networks" - workaround that helps

I've read through most of the messages about finder crashes, but what's going on in my case I haven't seen. As I have a work around, I thought I should post.
If for whatever reason the wireless connection pauses or gets interrupted (for example, by closing the lid), the finder hangs in the process of "looking for networks."  Most of the time I can still pull up the dock -- the spinning beach ball only clicks in if I mouse over the top menu bar. Sometimes (but not always) I can quit open applications through the dock before I have to do a hard reset.
My workaround is this: I turn wi-fi off before I close the lid. When I open the lid, I wait a short time -- 30 seconds, about -- and turn the wireless back on, and this way I can avoid the finder crashing.  If the wi-fi pauses for some other external reason, when "looking for networks" starts up, the finder will hang again.
It's way past  time that Apple coughs up a permanent fix, but this might help somebody who's having the same problem.  And maybe somebody has a better workaround, in which case, I'd love to hear about it.

    1. Going into a folder on my external hard drive that contains the installer for divx for mac.
Divx has been a source of problems with both Tiger & Leopard. See for example Mac OS X 10.5: Finder may not fully "load". If you have installed it, it is probably at least part of your problem.
then i erased the whole thing, and used the Mac OS X 10.5 install DVD that came with my mom's iMac (still happens)
This is not recommended. The install disks that come with specific Mac models do not necessarily install the same things or do all the error checks that the retail Leopard installer disk does. (It is also a violation of the software license to install it on another Mac.) If you want a trouble-free, supported installation of Leopard, use only the retail installer or a disk specifically intended for your exact Mac model.

  • Looking for eMac: How To Differentiate Between Models Document

    Hello,
I have been trying to find an Apple help document about how to differentiate between eMac models.
I have found an article about iMacs, but can not seem to find one for eMacs. Here is a link to the iMac article, just so you can better understand exactly what I've been looking for:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58669
Does anybody know of a direct link to a similar article for all eMac machines? That would be amazing; thank you in advance for any help. =) *april

    Hello Dave =)
Thank you for your help and for responding to my post.. The article you posted would have completely solved my problem, however, I, unfortunately, do not have access to serial numbers, and the serial number is mandatory for identifying eMac models in the article you posted. I appologize for not being more specific about exactly what I need.
You see, I am looking on eBay for a good, used, possibly older eMac for my mom. Unfortunately, nobody puts serial numbers in their eMac listings, so I can not properly identify and price compare different eMacs. eBay sellers only list such things as Model Name, Processor Speed MHz, SDRAM and Hard Drive GB, so I need a list to 'check against' like the iMac document. I am mostly trying to find out which eMac models came with DVD players, and also which ones are AirPort ready and AirPort Extreme enabled etc.
Would you happen to know if there's any such eMac model document?
Thank you again for posting to my question; I do appreciate it. *april

  • I'm looking for a computer with these specifications, can anyone help me?

I need to know if anyone can give me the names of a few laptops that have these MINIMUM specifications:
Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64 Processor or any better processor
    4 GB of RAM
    Windows 7
1280 X 800 or more with qualified hardware-accelerated OpenGL graphics card, 16 bit color, and 256MB of dedicated VRAM (not Shared Memory)
Graphics support for Shader Model 3.0, and OpenGL 2.0, DirectX 9-capable graphics card.
    DVD-drive compatible with dual-layer DVDs, Read/Write drive
    QuickTime 7.6.2 or newer
I'm going to an art school, and will probably be getting into some Graphic Design stuff, so if you don't know a computer that has a lot of these specific terms, could you give me perhaps a few names of good laptops for art students to buy?

    Hello Balkoth,
I work for Intel and aside from this being my job, I'm going to tell you to consider investing in a stronger processor. If you are going to be getting into Graphic Design, you will need more processing power. For your needs, I would suggest looking into the new Intel® Core™ i7 processor.
This is our top-of-the-line processor, ahead of the curve and will continue to perform as technologies continue to emerge. Not only will you have graphics support for Shader Model 3.0, and OpenGL 2.0, DirectX 9-capable graphics cards, but the i7 has Turbo Boost Technology (Speeds up your processor when you computer needs more performance) and  Hyper-Threading Technology (multitasking that allows your computer to work on two tasks at the same time). Even if you don't need all of these features now, you never know what you will need down the line. My general rule of thumb is to never buy something that is already behind the curve.
I would also recommend you looking into our other smart processors, i3 and i5, but I believe the i7 will be the best for your processing needs. Here is a couple computers I found with i7 processors and Windows 7 that you were looking for. Hope this helps!
