Looking for HP/Agilent MW Receiver 8530A IVI driver?

I am looking for IVI or CVI drivers for HP/Agilent MW receiver with GPIB interface.

Check out agilent's web site and if no dice there, try the NI developer
zone. They have a fair library of drivers available there.

    There seems to be a problem, just now, with the USB 3 ports on the new MBP's supporting eternal USB 3 drives. Some people have no luck at all - can't even recognize the drive - and some are reporting USB 2 speeds (those who drives are recognized). I'd call a dealer such as LaCie or OWC to see if they have USB 3 drives that actually work with MBP's with USB 3 ports. You may have to wait for a software/firmware update.

  • Looking for a handheld DMM with an IVI Interface

    I am looking for a handheld DMM with an IVI Interface. I dont need a lab
    instrument. Knows any one a solution?
    Babak

    Hi,
    Yuu can do a search for all the IVI drivers for DMMs that we have on www.ni.com/idnet. There isn't that many drivers (about 15). I'm not familiar with all the instruments in the list, but I think the smallest is our PCMCIA-4060 DMM, which you'd be able to use in a laptop. You can check the list of IVI drivers for DMMs and determine which one fits for needs.

  • My itunes seems to be looking for my library on my computer C drive,  rather than my external drive ( originally set up to as default ).  How do I re-set itunes to look for my library on the external drive ?

    Suddenly, after a year of good operation,  my itunes seems to be looking for my library on my computer C drive, rather than the external drive it had been set up to as default   How do I get it to search for the stored library on the external drive again ?

    Quit iTunes.
    On the external drive;
    1 - Create new folder called iTunes (or whatever you want).
    2 - Move your music folder into this.
    3 - Go to the the C: drive iTunes folder.
    4 - Copy the iTunes library.itl file into the iTunes folder on the external drive.
    5 - Start iTunes holding the Shift key.
    6 - Select Choose existing library and select the iTunes library.itl file you just copied to the external.

  • Looking for a Cheap Surround Receiver

    Hi I am looking for a cheap surround sound receiver or a sound bar that has optical in and a sub out option any ideas? I have a 50" Plasma by Panasonic and I have a Polk Audio 10" sub and my TV has a optical out and my sub uses RCA so that's where I am coming from I am not worried about the sound the TV sounds good and the sub is wicked awesome I just need a way to hook up my TV to the sub. At the moment my sub is plugged into the back of my Xfinity HD Cable box so only my cable is going through the sub I need a way to use my cable and my PS3 through the sub so I figured if I can get a receiver that has optical and a sub out i will be good. If you have any ideas im open to listen to them and try them out thanks!!

    For some reason, it's not on the website...I was going to recommend the Yamaha V373 receiver.  Runs about $249.99, but I think it's on sale for $219.99 this week.  Good solid receiver that should work fine for you.  That or the Sony 520 receiver.  Think Pioneer has their 522 model as well.  More inclined to go with Yamaha and Sony this year, though.

  • Looking for Bug description 3133645 in JDBC-Thin-Driver

    Looking for Description of Bug Number 3133645. An error "Sorry, this page was not found" occurs, when calling this page.

    Well actually...
    If the "prepareStatement()" invocation worked, but the "execute()" invocation failed (which matches the situation you have described in your original post), then the "PreparedStatement" would, most definitely, not be null, and the "close()" method (as per my sample code) would, most definitely, be executed.
    So I still get the impression that you are probably not closing your "Statement" instances (in cases where an error is occurring).
    Also, in my experience with Oracle's "thin" JDBC driver (i.e. the "classes12.zip" file), closing a "Connection" does not close any "Statement"s associated with it -- "Statement"s need to be explicitly closed.
    Perhaps you need to check your code again -- or post your actual production code for a third-party to scrutinize.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • Looking for quicker way to receive client's selection...

    Hi guys and gals.
    Currently my workflow is to export low res images and send to my client via Dropbox or We Transfer.  They pick selects, email me a list of file names, then I go through and find the files to work on.  There has to be a better way!  Is it possible to share a folder or collection with them and have them tag or rate their selects, then have that data transferred to me so I can bypass the "finding" stage?  That stage seems archaic.  Is this better achieve in Lightroom Mobile via Cloud or Web Galleries w/ lightroom?
    Thanks!
    Matt Licari
    www.MattLicari.com

    You can certainly do it with Lightroom Mobile / Web.
    The process is that after syncing a collection to LrM, right click the collection in LR Desktop or go to the Share setting on the iPad/Phone. You mark the collection as "public" (it's not really, unless someone guesses a really obscure URL) and share the URL with the client. The client then marks favourites - ie selects - and can make comments (they just need a free Adobe account). These automatically flow into LR 5.7 which has a new Sort Order - latest comments. So sort the collection and select the favourites.
    Give it a try.

  • HT1338 I'm having difficulty getting my scanner to communicate with my new Photoshop CSX trial software. I can purchase the software as soon as i know the scanner works and i can work as normal! i'm looking for a way to download the scanner driver to solv

    Would any of you know by any chance how to find the download for a Mac OS X scanner driver? my Canon LIDE 600F scanner normally works fine - and i've checked and in principle it should be compatible with the latest Photoshop CS6 trial i've successfully downloaded. i've checked the Apple software update and that's fine too. it's just that when i open my photoshop CS6 and go to File - import - scanner, the scanner is 'missing' - and then when i try every which way, an error flag comes up, stating there's an internal error and cites the scanner driver. it looks as though i need a scanner driver download for Mac OS X 10.6. i've googled this and can't find it .... has anyone else encountered this hitch since downloading the latest Photoshop? previously i had Photoshop CS3 - it's the CS6 version now that i'm trying to work with. You know how it is, deadline approaching and trying not to OD on coffee

    The driver may be listed here:

  • I am looking for my Aurora profile on a hard drive which must be repaired but there is nothing in the default location.

    Hello All,
    Basically, my Macbook Pro died on it's a*se a month ago.
    The hard drive from said computer is readable but needs to be repaired/erased and reformatted before it can be used as anything other than an external hard drive.
    I have looked in Application Support for the Profiles folder but there isn't one.
    All I get in Application Support is a Mozilla folder which leads to Extensions and eventually one solitary Javascript file for Adobe Contribute.
    I have copied the "Contents" having right clicked on the Aurora application and shown contents.
    Will that contain all my passwords and bookmarks if I replace it when the hard drive has been formatted and reinstalled into my laptop?
    I would definitely like to get back the bookmarks as they were accumulated over some 8 years of Firefox browsing and many long hours of work avoidance!
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    chflags nohidden ~/Library/
    cd ~/Library
    open ~/Library/
    any luck ?

  • Looking for clarification on network latency issue vs drive mapping

    Hi,
    I am seeing this as mystery and not getting crystal clear idea on the reason for the issue. Issue is related to the performance of the application interms of time it is taking in processing the input file.
    I wrote a swing application, which is a client application. Which takes some parameters like server name and iphostaddress and connects to the Process Server which is, responsible for processing client application requests. Client application will communicate with process server through TCP/IP connection and process the input file and returns the decisions back to the user through the output file.
    Below is the scenarios I am using for launching the application:
    1. If both client application and server are running locally in my desktop the time it is taking to process the input file is 2 minutes.
    2. If client is running my application and server is running remotely on wondows server, it's taking 13 minutes to process same input file.
    3. To reduce the time in scenario2, I installed the client appliation also on the remote server ( so that both client and server application are running on the windows server). and mapped the server's share drive to my desktop. And launched the application from my desktop (from U drive, where application is mapped), now it's taking 10 minutes to process the same input file.
    I am struggling in understanding why it's taking that long in scenario 3. Because application is installed locally on the server and input file and output files also copied onto the U drive. Sometimes thinking am I launching the application in the right way or not?
    Can somebody explain me, if we launch the remote java application through drive mapping will there be network latency there eventhough everything is there on the server (U drive)? Here I need to tell one more scenario 4, If loginto the remote windows server and launch the client application time it's taking to process the same input file is about a minute.
    Below are some more details on the issue: I am not encoding the file, I am using third party application, which provides an API to communicate with the process server. Just using the API methods and classes to pass the input file data to server. I have used the 'tracert' command for the remote server and I am seeing 8 hops between my desktop and remote server. I even installed network sniffer tool in my laptop and captured the files when application running.
    The input file has 140000 records (text lines with comma delimited) of 6.271MB in size. I have posted to understand the time it is taking in scenario3, where evrything is on mapped drive (i.e, client application and input file are technically recides on the server right?) , but client application is launched from desktop. The reason I am doing this way is, instead of log-in into the remote server, user can easily launch the application from the desktop. So, when I try to launch the application this way, this doesn't count as if client application is running local to the server? Will it becomes remote (I have even captured the network traffic file in this scenario too, and I have seen the comminication between my desktop ip address to server ip address and server is taking abour 3.84 milliseconds for each item to respond to client, I think it's just travel time not the process time). I am assuming, even when application launched from drive that is mapped, it should take about 1 minute (the time taking when I launch the aplication after log-into the server,not through drive mapping) to prcess input file as everything is on the server.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jyothi

    reading and writing the data shouldn't be the problem, its what you are doing with the data which will be taking all the time.
    Try this
    public class WriteFile {
        public static void main(String... args) throws IOException {
            String filename = "record.csv";
            int records = 140 * 1000;
            int values = 6;
                long start = System.nanoTime();
                PrintWriter pw = new PrintWriter(new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter(filename)));
                for (int r = 0; r < records; r++) {
                    for (int i = 0; i < values; i++) {
                        if (i > 0)
                            pw.print(',');
                        pw.print(r * 10 + i);
                    pw.println();
                pw.close();
                long time = System.nanoTime() - start;
                System.out.printf("Time to write %,d records was %.3f sec. file size=%.3fMB%n",
                        records, time / 1e9, new File(filename).length() / 1e6);
                long start = System.nanoTime();
                BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(filename));
                String line;
                while ((line = br.readLine()) != null) {
                    // do some work.
                    String[] parts = line.split(",");
                    int[] nums = new int[parts.length];
                    for (int i = 0; i < parts.length; i++)
                        nums[i] = Integer.parseInt(parts);
    br.close();
    long time = System.nanoTime() - start;
    System.out.printf("Time to read %,d records was %.3f sec%n",
    records, time / 1e9);
    PrintsTime to write 140,000 records was 0.462 sec. file size=6.193MB
    Time to read 140,000 records was 0.792 sec

  • Looking for release dates of Apple external hard drive and Tape Backup 40SC

    Does anyone know the release date of these two SCSI drives? If you can ballpark it that would help, but please indicate how certain you are.

    2. Apple "Tape Backup 40SC"
    Image: http://www.borkware.com/rants/stuc-on-you/AppleTapeBackup2.jpg

    Re: the Hard Drive.
    I have an Apple brochure dated Feb 1989 that offers the Apple hard Drives: 20SC, 40SC, 80SC, and 160SC \[and that's all].
    My recollection of the drive you pictured is that it was mildly scandalous because they were not even made by Apple -- they were made by a prominent (in those days) drive reseller with the Apple logo on them.
    RE: the tape drive
    I bought my first Mac, a Mac II, in late 1987. Apple Unix was soon offered for it, but there was no practical way to issue the software except to buy a Hard Drive 80 with Apple Unix pre-installed. The tape backup unit pictured was available some time later, but was far too expensive to use for issuing software.

  • Look for specific message in iMessage

    Hi!
    Im looking to get a script going that looks in the background for a message to arrive, and when it does it should delete a file or program.
    I've made some scripts that sends messages, but not worked with receiving.
    The script should look for a text being received from a certain contact and see if it contains a certain text.
    If both is correct, then execute the row that deletes the file.
    I tried to see if i could get the most fundamental working, but quickly failed.
    tell application "Messages"
      if lastmessage is "1234123" then
      display dialog "Start "
      end if
    end tell
    Althou "lastmessage" was not a variable.
    The text in the message can be predefined and the program/file that should be deleted can also be predefined.
    OS X 10.10.1
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Not exactly.  The form is located in a read only dedicated server accessible by local users from within the companie.  Althought we urge our user to use the form from our servers by creating a Shortcut on their local desktop pointing to the original file, some of them less familiar with computers have tendencies to use a COPY of the original file instead of a SHORTCUT.  The problem with this is they do not benefit from the latest version of the form as I modify it from time to time on the server.  So when they contact me with any problem or bug they encounter, the first thing I do is check the value of a hidden text field I placed in the bottom corner named "VERSION" that hold the version number I change every time I make a new release to see if they used an obsolete version.
    What I imagined is the following.  From now on, I would place a script at doc open that does the following:
    var myVersion = this.getField("VERSION").value;
    var latestVersion = Something to check the value of the field named "VERSION" in the form located on the server;
    if (myVersion != latestVersion){
         app.alert("obsolete..blah, blah, blah");
    Maybe there is a better approach to what is basically a version checker at doc open.  Users will be using Reader and I have access to users local machines and folders.

  • Looking for a new hard drive for my MacBookPro 5,2 (17" 2009 Unibody) : hybrid from seagate or a 7200rpm ?

    I am looking for a faster and higher capacity hard drive for my 2009 unibody MacBookPro 17".
    I wonder if I should go for a SSHD from Seagate model ST1000LM014 or for a standard HD but with 7200RPM.
    I am worried about the reliability of the Hybride model from Seagate and if it is really that fast.

    Hi, I have dv9730ca laptop myself and I have 2 160GB seagate 5400rpm 8MB hdd's, they have an external data transfer rate of 300MB/sec and an internal data transfer rate of 1.1GB/sec. They do get up to around 55oC (i use cpuid - hwmonitor to check this out) and I have heard using the 7200rpm hdd's can increase the heat output so I would recommend using the 5400rpm hdd's instead. The best way I have found to get over the heat issue from any laptop is to use a targus chillmat, it has 2 fans and runs off a usb port. I hope this info helps you out
