Looking for J2ME audio or video player

Hello all,
I am looking for an audio or video Java player which can be used on Foundation of J2ME platform. It is better an open source Java player (but not a must requirement). I am wondering where can I find related sources?
regards,
George

I think there's at least a couple of small application examples in the java tutorials; why don't you start looking at:

Just a clue.

  • Looking for cheap Audio converter RAM to MP3 ?

Subject : Looking for cheap Audio converter RAM to MP3 ?
Dear All, We would like to convert a RealAudio "ram" file to Mp3. Is there a "free / shareware" pogram to do this ? Otherwise, what should I do ?
    Thnaks. Kevin in Lille

I personally do not know of a program to convert like you request but you might check out http://www.versiontracker.com for programs. "WireTap Pro" can capture audio from any internal source ( http://www.ambrosiasw.com/news/ ) Of course, you'd need a player for the RAM file...

  • [SOLVED] Looking for an audio player; specific requirements

I've searched around and can't really find what I'm looking for in an audio player(though Audacious and Exaile come close). What I need is one with these aspects:
    - Based on GTK+
    - Relatively lightweight
    - Skinnable
I'd like something with a look similar to the Winamp "modern" skins, rather than the classic ones, but I can't find anything like this for Linux.

    This makes your request impossible.
Nothing's impossible... creativity is key. I you can't achieve the look you're looking for natively, either code something yourself or look into running winamp through wine (here's an article on running winamp through wine if you're feeling lazy).

  • Best export from FCP4.5 for conversion to Flash video player?

    Hi,
I'm prepping a 5 min edit production for the best web presentation w/o excessive file size / loading time. The production has a lot of subtle detail & layered images so there a lot of opportunities for this to turn to mud (shot on low grade digital consumer video camera & also in lower light settings).
I exported in H264 at med quality & got a good looking 75 meg file. Tried uploading to YouTube, fearing the worst, and it actually created something decent from that file. I could just link that embedded file to the intended website, but I dont want that YouTube logo in the corner. I'd rather recreate what they do in Flash w/o the logo.
Does anyone have info on what YouTube does to the videos it processes into those flash video player files? Compression or resolution settings? It looks like going that route will give better results that can be universally viewed than the standard mpeg route. (file size & universal viewing on all platforms are my only reason not to post in H264).
Are these issues best solved going from a big FCP export and handled with settings in Flash? Or is there some export choice in FCP that will give best (size & res) quailty with minimal influence needed from Flash?
I've tried Compressor but havent been able to get any results from it. I just get errors that I dont understand. If thats the solution, I'll dig into that further, but would appreciate any tips / guidance.
    thanks

You could try Sorenson 3 at 640x480. Try a quality setting of about 80 percent.

I'm looking for some utility app that can give some detailed info on how much memory is being used for each category of content such as videos, music, apps, etc.     All I seem to be able to find are apps that show the total amount of memory being used.   I'd appreciate any suggestions for good utilities to use for this.   Thanks.

  • Looking For a Download Any Video App iMac

All I want to do is download any video using an app that works with an iMac.  is there such an animal? Thanks for any help

Well, let's not wait for the future.  Here it is: On Firefox you can download a video helper and install it. That enables you to go any site on the internet with video. If you want to download a video  to your desktop, let's say, you look for the swirling rainbow color balls, and next to it is a symbol that when you click on it  reveals the video playing. You click the video title, and it is downloaded to your desktop if you so choose that location.  Can I do that with Safari?  Can I go on the internet and look for the equivalent download helper for mac?  I don't want to always download videos using Firefox, though it's very easy....Thanks

  • Would this be a good IMac for serious audio and video production?

I am looking for a imac that is good for serious music recording in protools or cubase and serious HD video editing and effects with adobe premiere pro and after effects. I also need it to run good with the rest of the adobe products like photoshop, deamweaver, fireworks, flash, etc. I am a student. And this is what i have came up with. I have external HDs so 500gigs is not a problem with me.
    2.5GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
    8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
    500GB Serial ATA Drive
    AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512MB GDDR5
    Apple Magic Mouse
Apple Wireless Keyboard (English) & User's Guide
AppleCare Protection Plan for iMac - Auto-enroll
Do you think this would be good for what i do?

That would be a nice machine, espcially for the price (I am guessing you looking at the 21.5" iMac)

  • Where is the temporary file located for streaming audio or video?

I've noticed that when listening to streaming radio that Safari (v. 4.0.2, MacBook, Leopard 10.5.8) is apparently storing the feed temporarily someplace on my computer, as one is able to go forward and back on the content, if one has paused the feed for awhile. Where is this temporary file located, i.e., what is the path on my computer for it (assuming that is where it is), please?

"Audio and video file that do download by way of Safari (progressive download) ...there are temp file, but the temp files themselves can't be open."
Thanks for your answer. Sorry for using the wrong term (streaming v. progressive), but my basic question still remains: WHERE then is the progressive temp file stored on my Mac (even if it can't be opened)?

  • Looking for Hi-8 Deck/VCR/Player

Hey eveyrone.  Well, I started out with Hi-8 tapes when I was 13, then moved on to Mini DV at 17, then moved onto SD cards at 24.
I have LOADS AND LOADS of Hi-8 tapes that I would still like to capture onto my HDD.
Only problem is, my old Hi-8 Cameras (sony trv-350 and 750) are out of commission.  Tapes won't eject, ejection ports won't close, making play back impossible, so I smashed them into pieces for a video.
I have been on the hunt for a Hi-8 Deck similar to one you would have used when Mini-DV tapes were all the rage.
I simply wan't a unit that I can place Hi-8 tapes inside, with video out to a TV, and a fire wire port to go to my computer, that's all I want.
I'm only seeing Hi-8 VCR's online that go for over a grand, that's simply not going to work for my budget.
I know I could probably just buy a crappy Hi-8 camcorder with a firewire and do it that way, but I would much rather have a pretty looking deck sitting on my desk instead of some random hi-8 camera that I'll have to stow away somewhere.
Anyone know where to look for this?

There were no Hi8 cameras or decks that had a Firewire output.  However, Digital8 camcorders do have iLink (Sony's name for Firewire) output.  Look for a used Digital8 camcorder - they will also playback Hi8 and regular 8 video.  If you use a non-digital de3vice, such as a Hi8 camcorder or deck, you'll also need an analog-to-digital converter.

  • Any examples for loading a Flash video player into a JavaScript layer?

I want to build a web page with a button that when clicked opens up a javascript layer and loads a flash player inside that layer.  And that layer would need a close button.  Does anyone know of any tutorials to help me do this?
    Thanks!

follow thread down to responses by Video Man (aka Adninjastrator) for simple javascript hide/show solution.
That example needed to be launched from Flash.. so you see the big blue button.
but just as well could be launched from HTML. sample page here:
    http://www.hiesequim.com/education_center_test.html
view the source code to see how the overlay and video player are positioned using CSS (#mediaspace2).
There are a number of ways to implement show/hide, so Google more more info.
    Best of luck,

  • Looking for an Audio Server Solution

Alright, so I've got a headless server running in my bedroom that I use for storage.  I already stream media to my ps3 using ps3mediaserver, but what I'd really like to be able to do is play music remotely from my desktop and laptop.  I've spent some time looking around for solutions, but can't really come up with anything.  As such, I'm looking for some help!
    What I'd like to do:
    * Keep all music stored on the server
    * Access the music remotely in a nice gui interface (Rhythmbox would be ideal, but something similar would work too)
    * Play the music out of my desktop or laptop's speakers, not out of the server
I played around with mpd some, but ultimately gave up.  I could get it to stream with http, but I was having to stream it to vlc and control it with another program... Not the best solution.
Any ideas?  All help is greatly appreciated

Are you sure your system is up to date? systemd support was added to the rpcbind package in April this year,
Oddly enough it's working now.  No clue what changed.
As for MPD, I've pretty much given up.  Thanks for the suggestions and help!
