Looking for Key-logger App

HOW DARE YOU!!!!
What the user types onto their keyboard is their right, and they should totally have privacy! OMG you're horrible!!!....
Now back to reality, just make sure the client has a strong "right to monitor clause" and then use Spector. Does a good enough job, and stores to a local share.

I would not agree to install malware on your client's network, it's too much of a risk for your business. Rather, ask them what problem they are trying to solve and find an appropriate way to solve it. What they probably need is an Employee Monitoring Solution.

  • Looking for mileage logger app that gets its addresses from contacts

I'm looking for mileage logger that gets addresses from the iPhone's contacts. I used to have the perfect app, called Tap2Go but it no longer works and isn't supported. I don't need a bunch of other bells & whistles. I just want a logger that will give me the option to look up the address in my contact book.  I hate to have to leave the app, open Contacts, find the contact, select & copy the address & go back to the app and paste in the address. Also, need the app to calculate the distance based on the addresses entered.
Somebody must make an app that does this but I downloaded a bunch of loggers & trackers and none offered this feature.

Finally found what I was looking for after wasting $$$ on apps that promised features that they didn’t deliver.
MileTracker from Silverware does everything I was looking for http://www.silverwaresoftware.com/Home.html
I can’t believe how hard it was to find an app that would do what I needed but the folks at Silverware seem to have carefully thought through what is needed and they give you lots of options and fields that can be toggled on and off. It cost 2.99 and then another .99 to turn on the GPS based calculation.
    Well worth it.

  • Key Logger App For Accountability Purposes?

Hello, I was wondering if there is a key logger app available for a non-jailbroken iPhone for accountability purposes?  The current accountability apps are not good (Covenant Eyes, X3 Watch etc....) because they only monitor the browser they have you install (Covenant Eyes Browser).  The rest of the iPhone is not monitored.  I am a young adult and would like the option to be fully accountable on the iPhone without having to block iPhone features such as Safari.  Thanks.

That makes absolutely no sense. Access to the core functions of the phone would most definitely compromise security. I'm not sure what universe you live in where that would not be the case. Your faith in these theoretical companies that could be trusted with this access is touching, though.
Android phones, which do allow such access, have revealed a number of serious vulnerabilities recently. Start your reading here:
    http://www.symantec.com/connect/blogs/android-vulnerability-allows-app-hijacking
It would compromise security if used for that purpose yes.  Just like if someone takes your phone with malicious purposes, say steal your credit card information, instead of a family member or friend borrowing it to show you a funny video. Your sarcasm is unseeded and misplaced.  These, "theoretical companies", are actually real companies.  With these companies, "there has not been any abuses of privileges on Mac, PC, or Android devices.  You think the companies would all of a sudden decide to abuse the iPhone when they could have done so already with other operating systems?
You missed a very important part in the article that you posted. "We have added detection logic for the vulnerable condition to our backend Norton Mobile Insight systems and, out of four million applications, have not yet discovered malicious usage of the vulnerability."  Bring it up again if there is ever anything that is actually happening, instead of just the possibility of something being breached. It looks like you would have bought into Symantec's ploy to sell you their product.

  • Looking for a remote app

I am looking for a remote app for my windows computer at work so I can control my music. I have Remote from my mac to use with iTunes at home and thats great. But now I was wondering do they have anything like that for windows I use windows media player. Thanks so much

    Correction from my last message-
Are you looking for a way to control the music from your PC to Mac as in remote desktop, or are you looking for a way to access (play, delete, share) your music?
If its the first choice, see my last post.
If its the second choice, you can turn on Home Sharing in iTunes.
Go to Advanced>Turn on Home Sharing
You'll have to login with an Apple ID, and do the same thing on your other computers.

I signed up for my apple account while living in Canada, and now I lives in the US. I am looking for a specific app that apparently is only available through the US app store. How can I change my account to the US Apple Store?

As long as you have a form of payment (credit or debit card) with a USA source, and with a billing address in the USA, then you just need to change your payment information on your account to that, change your country in the store settings, and you will then be able to shop in the USA store.
Your AppleID will work in any country's store, as long as your payment source and billing addres are also specific to that country (and you are in that country as well, as there may be IP filters in place to stop use outside of the country).

  • Looking for a certain app.  can you help...

I am going flying in a little cessna tomorrow. This will be my 2nd lesson. The instructor is happy for me to have my iphone on and it doesn't have to be in flight mode.
What this means is I can use the GPS to track the flight. I am looking for a particular app that will use the GPS and plot my track and allow me to place this over a google map or even google earth to show exactly where I have flown.
I have used a similar app for running (RunKeeper) and also another called iTrial but didn't like that one much.
Is there any you can recommend?
    Thanks
    Mark

If you go to the iTunes App store and look in the Navigation category there are many apps related specifically to flying.
For what you specify, GPS Recorder might be the one to check out. I've not used it, though, so YMMV.

  • Looking for a journaling app that looks like and old fashion journal and alowws dictation and editing

Looking for a journaling app the allows dictation and editing and would look like and old fashion journal book that I can put in my iBook shelf.

You won't be able to put an app in iBooks. The only things you can put in iBooks are eBooks and PDFs. As far as narrowing down the list of possible apps, what ones have you looked at already when you searched the app store?

  • Looking for a mail app... any recommendations?

I use my mac for business, and send many emails out to vendors and suppliers and manufacturers on a variety of customer issues. Often, it takes me several emails before I get a reply on a given issue. Sometimes I forget to follow up on a particular email, and it slips through the cracks, making my customers mad.
I am looking for an email app which if set, can prompt me if a period of time goes by without a response. So if I email a vendor on an issue, and he doesn't reply to me, I am prompted to follow up again.
Does anyone know of an app which has such a feature? My email requirements are simple IMAP and POP.
    Thank you.

    Hi iJerry,
I thought Sparrow had discontinued development. Not the case?
Since this disussion started I have basically switched over the MailPlane and really like it. The navigation, labeling, archiving and everythiing are so quick. And because it is so tied directly to Gmail you don't have to worry about whether or not the labels and everything are in synch (which was driving me crazy when testing Airmail).
The downside is there are some things which MailPlane doesn't support. For example, moving messages between accounts, or multiple signatures with accounts and a few other oddities. And of course it is Gmail only, so I had to do some work-arounds for the couple of email accounts I had which were non-Gmail. And it is all "in the cloud" so there is no backup on my computer (which I accomplish by turning on Thunderbird every once in a while and letting it sync.)
What is the current status of Sparrow though? At Wikipedia it says:
"Sparrow was an email client for OS X and iOS. After a 4 month beta period, Sparrow went on sale in the Mac App Store on February 9, 2011 and became the top paid and top grossing app in less than one day.[1] On July 20, 2012, the company announced that it had been acquired by Google and was ceasing continued development of the application save critical bug fixes."

I'm going on a trip and I am looking for a photo app where I can take a picture and upload it to the web from my phone so my friends can view the pictures on a map.
Does an app like this exist?

I believe this may do what you want:
    http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/flickr/id328407587?mt=8
    and maybe this:
    http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/shozu/id284768495?mt=8
other possibilities can be found by typing "iphone geo tag upload" into Google.

  • Looking for form filling app that can do this

I am looking for an iPad app that can do this. I know it would need some type of cloud/web based backend to setup and manage but I'm looking for the following:
We are a fire and security company. Many jobs require multiple documents to be created such as a service ticket, alarm activity log and maybe another form. The problem is if the tech needs to fill out the service ticket and activity log, those forms require in many ways the same information such as description of problem and end results and then each form has it's own separate info required. Right now the tech either has to retype all the similar data or try to copy and paste between the different fillable PDF files.
I'm looking for a solution that will allow me to select which forms are needed and then it will populate the required fields to fill in and when complete it will export it to PDF on the appropriate company document templates and allow signatures to be placed before printing via AirPrint and emailing it to customer and our office.
Does anyone know of a solution like this? It is not an easy thing to look for on Google.

To more easily find compatible apps:
iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

  • Looking for a free app for secure note taking with search feature (unlimited)

    Hi dudes,
As the topic suggests, I'm looking for a free app for secure note taking with search feature without any restriction on the number of notes or any other major restriction. I already use HiDisk (which lacks search feature), and security note+ (which has limitation on the number of notes). I also have used My Disk which its search feature doesn't work correctly (it's buggy).
    Thank you.

One named NotePad is free, saves as .txt files.
Another, WriterRoom, costs $1.99USD, and saves as .txt and .doc files.

I am looking for a good app that can help a college student with reading books that cannot be found on audio book.  I have tried voice over and it works but it's very monotone and it really strings things together.

Ah. I'm surprised, but there we go.

Didn't have time to do more than skim, but 'Ardour' looked promising. Protools is the only one I've used, the full product is one of the industry standards, but the free 'lite' version listed here seems to be limited to 2 in/out as well.
Referring to your original post, I'd think trying to write or 'script' something would be a nightmare ... synchronisation of streams within something like Applescript would be a major issue, quite apart from anything else.
