Looking for "label" in view options

This seems like such a no-brainer that I must be missing something, but is there no way to have "label" as one of the view options? For a lot of music, particularly older stuff, or 50's and 60's soul stuff, even modern indie, really everything, being able to sort by label (record label) should be an everyday option.
Maybe I want to listen to just Dial records today, or King, or Fame, or Norton or Ace...
Can this feature be added, post-haste? Or have I missed it?

Personally, I never think about the record label and can't understand why it would matter. But that's just me.
You can have more than one thing in the comments field and still use Smart Playlists to select items that have the name of the record label in the comments field.
You might want to submit your suggestions to Apple:

Best of luck.

  • Looking for Good swf viewer/browser

I'm looking for a swf viewer/browser similar to Windows standard browser.
I need to basically show someone a bunch of swfs in a slideshow format.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for responding kglad.
The swfs aren't being displayed in a web browser.
I don't see an option for showing the swfs in slideshow format/view in the flash player. It will only display one, then I need to open the next one individually.
Creating a swf slideshow seems like far much more work than what is needed in this case. I just need to be able to browse through a bunch of swfs quickly.

  • Feature Request - Please allow for a "classic" view option.

Please allow for a "classic" view option like you have in Mail.  Miss the sidebar that had a list of all the calendars using.  The pop up list is not nearly as functional.  iCal in Lion may be great for touch screen users but is a step back on the intuitive scale for Mac users.
Also, the delete / revert button are too close to the done button.  Too easy to hit on accident.

This is a good feature request and should be submitted here: Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form
The team reviews all the requests that come in through that form. It is a guaranteed way to get your request seen while we do not always see everything that gets posted to the forums.

  • I am looking for an eps viewer

    Hi
    Can anyone help?
I am looking for an eps viewer suitable to use with a macbook air.
    Many Thanks.
    Charlotte

The only similarity between a MacBook Air and an iBook is that both are notebooks.    MacBook Airs though have a totally different range of operating systems than the iBook.  We have to know what operating system you are running to give a concise answer, and request a moderator move this topic to the correct forum.  No action is needed on your part except to respond to this question, what Mac OS X version is in Apple menu -> About This Mac?

  • HT4759 I was able to view "gallery" before this move.  What am I looking for now to view my photos?

I was able to view gallery before the move.  What am I looking for now to post and view photos?

iCloud provides a very basic photo gallery in Photo Journal, though it is populated only from iPhoto for iOS, not from a Mac. Otherwise you will need to find a third-party solution - this page examines some options:

  • Looking for System Tables / Views like in Oracle DB - user_constraints, user_tab_columns, ...

    Hello,
I'm looking for system tables or views like in the Oracle Database.
First I'm looking for running /active sessions - like v$sessions or in an RAC environment gv$session
And get the corresponding SQL from v$sql
Second I had problems to drop tables due to constraints.
    Therefore I was looking for dba_constraints, all_constraints or user_constraints
    select * from user_constraints WHERE constraint_type in ('R');
With that information I'm able to generate a script to drop the constraints.
Third I want quick lookup about data types used in a table to correct my settings in Oracle BI.
For example which column in which table of my schema uses the datatype BIGINT.
If only 3 attributes in  two tables out of 100 use the BIGINT datatype - I'm able to quickly change my settings in the OBIEE repository.
    I'm missing a table like user_tab_columns.
How can I get the same information out of TimesTen ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Thorsten

    Hi Thorsten,
You should be able to get some of the information that you want from the TimesTen reports that are in SQL Developer.
    e.g.
<TimesTen Reports -> Table -> Columns -> Columns> returns a listing of all the columns and their data types. You can order by the data type column or add a filter (say ='TT_BIGINT') to restrict the result set.
<TimesTen Reports -> Table -> Constraints -> All Constraints / FK Constraints / PK Constraints / Unique Constraints>  returns a listing of all the constraints, their name, the table that the constraints are on, and their properties.
For all the SQL Developer reports, you will be able to see the underlying queries and the TimesTen system tables/ views that they reference.

  • Looking for software to view file in Text/Hex mode

    Hi:
Please bear with me. I just migrated from Windows development and what was widely used there was the way to view files in a Text or Hex mode. I was using the Far Manager that was like an old DOS file manager that allowed all those low-level operations. Is there something like this for a Mac?

    Den B. wrote:
Yeah, pretty much. As I said I came from Windows development and although I love a lot of new stuff provided in XCode, I'm still missing some of my old tools.
I wouldn't try to replicate your old Windows experience. Single-key operations aren't the Mac's strengths. Maybe look at Quicksilver. It will be listed on page 2 of iUseThis's top applications. There are a few hundred other applications there you might be interested in.
    1. It gave a text based file system browser. Take a look at the screenshot:
    http://www.simplehelp.net/images/winfileman/far/filemanager00.jpg
The benefit of using it was that it was showing all hidden and system files that otherwise would be hidden in the Finder, etc.
Most developers take advantage of MacOS X's UNIX heritage and use the command line.
    2. If I highlighted a file (any file) and hit F3 it would open it as text. It also had an option to open it as Hex/Oct/Dec array. It had a built in text search, etc. This is what 0xED does, so I'll definitely keep it. Here's the screenshot of the tool I was using:
    http://dns-300.sergeyzh.org/wiki/media/howto/ramdisksearch.png?w=&h=&cache=cache
    3. I could also change attributes on each file by doing F9 and then attributes. This feature would be very handy too, especially on a UNIX based system.
    Ever tried ⌘ i ?
I don't use keyboard shortcuts so I can't provide good suggestions. I'm pretty sure you could create any number of automator or AppleScripts to do any of these things and bind them to keystrokes.

  • Looking for app to view my webcam

Are there any apps that would allow me to view my webcam from my phone, say i hook up a webcam to my computer and use it as a security camera and be able to view it while im out and away on my phone?

Does your webcam have an IP address?
Is your webcam directly connected to a PC? If yes, you might look into using Google talk. There are tons of ways to configure a webcam, so it's a bit hard to tell.

  • Looking for oracle.adf.view.faces.CHECK_FILE_MODIFICATION property

    Hi ,
when i try to run a simple ADF form for the second time-one 'instance' of it has already run successfully some time ago , and the status of "embedded runtime OC4J SERVER" is running- i get the following error:
INFO: ADF Faces is running with time-stamp checking enabled. This should not be used in a production environment. See the oracle.adf.view.faces.CHECK_FILE_MODIFICATION property in WEB-INF/web.xml
I have searched the web.xml file in the current application...(userInterface project->Web Content - > Web-Inf) but i have not found the property "oracle.adf.view.faces.CHECK_FILE_MODIFICATION"....
    Where is there declared...????
    NOTE : I use JDev 10.1.3.
    My greetings,
    Simon

    Hi,
oracle.adf.view.faces.CHECK_FILE_MODIFICATION is a context parameter that in JDeveloper IDE is set to true by default. You can set this to false but then this means that the JSPX files are no longer compiled when running them in the embedded OC4J, which means you actually see the "old" version
<!-- If this parameter is enabled, ADF Faces will automatically
check the modification date of your JSPs, and discard saved
state when they change; this makes development easier,
but adds overhead that should be avoided when your application
    is deployed -->
    <context-param> <param-name>oracle.adf.view.faces.CHECK_FILE_MODIFICATION</param-name>
    <param-value>false</param-value>
    </context-param>

  • Looking for e4200 range extender options?

I'm using the e4200 in a big old house with lots of walls, including rooms separated with brick.     Wiring access points would be difficult given the problem of pulling wires.    I do have lots of kids and devices connected including DirecTv, iphones, ipads, laptops, and PS3.
Is there a range extender that someone might recommend?      Do I care if an extender only supports 2.4Mhz if I use the same SSID anyway?
    Other suggestions?
    Thanks for your input!

It looks like the AV500 is a Belkin which is one of the majors.  I'm using the 200 series Trendnet, I know Trendnet was fairly quick to move on to the 500 series and I think the Cisco units were recently reviewed at www.smallnetbuilder.com
But the wiring and set up is important in determining if the powerline will work for you.  One Item that I always thought odd with the trendnet's is they specifically state that you will not be able to use the units plugged into a UPS or even surge protector (the filters affect the ability for the units to synch with each other).
Good Luck hope you can find one that works for you.
One other note in the 200 series day there were two different types (Trendnet use one type and D-link used a different) off hand I don't recall which type Belkin used.

  • Looking For 2009 Xserve SSD Option Parts

I just purchased a "new" fully loaded 2009 Xserve that has everything except the SSD option and I need it. Anybody here have a source for the 3 parts besides eBay and Amazon? The part numbers are...
    661-5067 (SSD)
    992-8958 (SSD Cable)
    992-8959 (SSD Bracket)
    Thanks,
    Chuck

    Chris,
Have you used Impact before? I have attempted to order these parts from 2 vendors now who have advertised them as "in stock" only to have them subsequently cancel my order after putting holds on my bank account funds because they didn't really have the parts to begin with. Apparently it's accepted behavior to advertise the entirety of Apple's part catalog and hope somebody will order something, whether you have the things you have advertised or not. The picture Impact has posted of the drive isn't even close to the specs of the real drive, so I'm suspicious.
After the 2 disappointments, I went ahead and bought the cable from an eBay vendor and I bought the exact same Samsung drive but without the Apple logo, also from an eBay vendor. I got the drive today and the cable should arrive tomorrow. If it all works, I'll go after the bracket next week.
    I'll post the results.
    Thanks,
    Chuck
