We are looking for a developer who can help us create a Lightroom plugin that will allow Lightroom users to upload their photos for print to our web based print and production service. Minimal user interface required. In the first stage of the project, shopping cart including pricing and shipping information will be handled by the web system. Later stages may include advertising pricing information inside Lightroom.

Uninstall SIMBL as follows. Back up all data before making any changes.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Log out and log back in.
Make sure you never reinstall SIMBL. It’s likely to come bundled with another third-party system modfication that depends on it. If you want trouble-free computing, avoid software that makes miraculous changes to other software, especially built-in applications. The only real exception to that rule is Safari extensions, which are mostly safe, and are easy to get rid of when they don’t work. SIMBL and its dependents are not Safari extensions.

It sounds as if your browser and some of your apps are not color-managed. This is pretty typical. Even IE9 is only partially color-managed.
You can expect color-managed and non-color-managed applications to show you different things with the same images. How different will depend upon how different your monitor color profile is from the image's color profile.
For web publication and most general use, experts usually advise saving images with the sRGB profile. If such images, saved through the Save for Web & Devices function, look different to you than you expect, it may be that your input images have previously been saved in another color space.
You should really try to get your head around color-management by reading more on it. It can seem baffling and it's difficult to understand without some background. A quick web search turns up many overviews. Beware, though, even people writing articles sometimes don't fully understand it.

yes, that's the only decent book covering most of the exam curiculum (but NOT all of it, check the exam specs versus the book content to know what you are missing).

Ron , You need to contact Adobe Customer Support, then cancel current Photoshop single app subscription and then subscribe to Creative Cloud Photography subscription -$9.99 , it includes both Photoshop as well Lightroom and lightroom mobile apps.

Interactive debugger for Lightroom plugins

The Lua IDE "ZeroBrane" now supports interactive debugging of Lightroom plugins. This means you can set breakpoints, step through your code line by line, examine/watch your variables as you do so etc. It can be quite helpful when debugging a complex situation in a plugin, and I don't think it was previously available.

(Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with them but have worked a little with their software, and like it. Paul, the developer, is very responsive and helpful, in case you should still encounter the occasional quirk.)

I just tried it in Lightroom 5.6/Mac, and it worked well. (I don't have the latest version of ZBS installed, however.)
The only thing I see is that if you import it as local LrMobdebug, it should be "LrMobdebug.start()", not Lrmobdebug.start(), i .e. upper/lower case 'm'. (turns out this is wrong in the article too). However, LR should inform you of this when you start the plugin, with the error message "An internal error has occurred - attempt to index global Lrmobdebug (a nil value). So maybe you have caught this already.
The only real suggestion I have is to restart Lightroom, as that sometimes helps. Otherwise, I followed the steps in the article, i.e. script opened in ZBS, project directory set etc. I did not set a breakpoint as Lrmobdebug.start() already breaks itself.

To develop InDesign plug-ins you need to get the InDesign SDK. You can find instructions in Adobe's website on how to do this. This includes a lot of information including a "Getting Started" guide.
Note: InDesign plug-in development has it's own forum. This forum is for CC Extension development, which is not described in the InDesign SDK.

Looking for lightroom lens profile for tamron lens

I am using lightroom 5 at work and shot some images with a canon 5d2 body with tamron 24-70 2.8 vc and tamron 70-200 2.8 vc lense. According to the note below, both lens are supported since lightroom 4.1. However I can not find the profile of these two lens on lightroom 5. Does anyone how I can bring the profile back in? Thanks.

The ProgramData folders are for Photoshop and are probably as old as the newest version of PS or DNG Converter you have.
The lens profiles for Lightroom 4 and 5 are under LR's Resources subfolder:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom x.x\Resources\LensProfiles\1.0\
(x.x = whatever version of LR you have)
For my LR 4.4 I have the following 16 subfolders under LensProfiles\1.0:

For what its worth, I found this the easiest of the certifications (compared to Programmer and Developer). My 2 cents of advice includes:
- Use the Sun objectives as the driver for your study. Review the objectives thoroughly and make detailed notes by section. http://www.javaranch.com/scwcdlinks.jsp has some good examples of this (plus a lot of other useful stuff). The exam is a bit of a memory test - you need to know details of the deployment descriptor, the taglib definition, listeners, the API etc.
- Take the time to read the servlet and JSP specifications. Although on first sight these are large documents, much of them is reference material and they can be read in a couple of hours. They will help in making the detailed notes.
- Go over the servlet API for the key methods.
- If you've not been working with servlet/JSP technologies, read a good book on servlets / JSPs for general background.
- Try a few mock tests, although there are far fewer available than for JCP. Avoid the ones that charge a fee - I found them less than helpful.
- This is probably just me, but be careful if you book the test via the web. I did just that, and when I turned up at the test center they had never heard of me. Follow-up with a phone call to the actual center to ensure that they are expecting you.

Way to Upgrade Memory for Flash Plugin (v11) for Firefox (v10)?

I've been searching far and wide for an answer to this to no avail, so I'm hoping someone here can help me. As a part of my position at work, I am trying to work with a web-based Flash application connected to a Java back-end server. The data being rendered on the Flash side is very large and expansive, with many containers/layers involved. Since the processing seems to stall, then eventually crash the Flash Plugin in Firefox, is there any way to bump up the memory assigned to the Flash Plugin from within Firefox? I did see that the memory allocation is controlled by the browser, not the Flash Plugin, but I have been unable to find any place that describes how to accomplish this memory adjustment within firefox for flash plugin at all.

I downloaded the Premiere Pro CS 5.5 Win SDK, i open the project SDK_Exporter in Visual Studio 2008, when i hit debug i get the following error

Yes it works, thanks Note: For CS 5.5 Administrative privileges are not need, so thats only with visual studio 2010 and premiere cs6 where i need to run vs2010 as admin.

Configuring Qt creator for AI plugin development

I tried creating AI plugin using
- Visual Studio Premium 2010
- Visual Studio Addin for Qt
- QWinWidget for Qt 4.8
- Qt 4.8 for windows
- Windows 7 32 bit
However, I could not compile the plugin for 64 bit edition as the Qt addin for visual studio do not support Qt 4.8 for 64 bit compilation.
I cannot switch to Qt 5.1 as compatible QWinWidget is not available there.
So I decided to migrate to Qt Creator 2.8 IDE instead of visual studio and bypass the addin.
I could migrate the VS project to a Qt project and compile it. I get a .aip file now.
However, this AI plugin is not loaded by Illustrator.exe
I added the following to get my aip file.
TARGET_EXT = .aip
TEMPLATE = lib
CONFIG += dll embed_manifest_dll
However,
1. the plugin main was not exposed. So, tried
DEF_FILE += "Definitions/PluginMain.def"
Dependency walker now shows "PluginMain", but AI cannot load the plugin.
Qt documentation tell, use "DEF_FILE" only with "app" template. Is this the reason for the failure ?
What is the solution ?
2. How to get the 64 bit target in Qt creator ?
I tried QMAKE_TARGET.arch = x86_64 but the target was 32 bit (checked in dependency walker).
My OS is 32 bit win 7. Is this the reason I cannot get 64 bit target ?
Do I need to install Qt environment on 64bit OS to get the 64 bit target ??

I implemented Qt as a GUI module inside an Adobe Illustrator Plugin for Mac OS X.
Half of the time, after boot up, the button click results in successful click event delivery. Once successful, it never failed, until next application reboots. When fails, it always crashes on the first button click and crashes at the execution of QApplication::flush(); inside QAbstractButton::mousePressEvent(QMouseEvent *e) function from qabstracbutton.cpp.
Do you handle any mouse event for button at all other than connect the button to a callback?
The following is code I written to instantiate QApplication and Qt GUI components to reside inside an container provided by Illustrator’s API:
GetPlatformWindow returns dlgHnd which is NSView of a GUI container.
pEditWidget is a QWidget class containing a few QPushButton.
SetNotifyProc calls Qt connect method to setup button click callback.

How to setup Xcode 4.2 for indesign plugin development

Hi all,
i am trying to add an indesign project template to xcode 4.2. I read and try almost all and nothing is working for me. I was trying to go step by step as getting started pdf from adobe shows, but its targeted for xcode 3.x, so any luck here... I am not able to sucessfuly run even dollyxs from terminal, it just generate empty txt file. Could anyone tell me please or shows link how to add indesign template to xcode 4.2???

so finally I have made all steps the right way. Everything is ok, but when Iam trying to build my sample, error:
"DontDeadStrip()", referenced from:
