Looking for local VRU-PIM TCP port
Hi Team,
I am setting a VRU-PG to connect an external IVR, however I couldn't find anywhere what is the TCP port number used by the vrupim.exe process to open our firewall port accordingly.
Is the VRU port dynamic ? "The port Port Utilization Guide for Cisco Unified Intelligent Contact ManagementEnterprise & Hosted Release 8.0" document mentions that for GED-125 the server Protocol/Port is TCP 5000–5001.
However in my case the local TCP port of vrupim.exe keeps changing. Whenever I cycle the PG it is changed to 1102, or 3352, 3407, 3443 etc..
Thanks & Regards
Nick
Note:
Hi Sentil,
Thank you for your answer. The "VRUTcpServiceName" setting is indeed set to 3000. This is my remote port for my the
VRUIpHostName 10.173.33.143. However this is not what I am looking for.
I am looking for the local port range which is used by the the VRUPIM.EXE process which is at the moment 2481 (see belloww). This is because the is a firewall on the remote site, where the VRU server is located, and they need to know which are the ports to open.

ACE Probe Config for Blue Coat Proxy TCP Port 74 NETRJS-4
We are running 4710's with A5(2.2). We use Blue Coat proxies for our internet connections, specifcally TCP port 74. So when we open up a browser connection to www.cisco.com, the HTTP GET is actually encapsulated in TCP port 74 netrjs-4. We want to load-balance these proxies with ACE and I'm trying to setup health probes, but the only ones that work are the tcp probes PROXY_BCC_PROBE and PROXY_PROBE. I'd like to have health probes that hit external websites, but I'm confused whether the "ip address" Probe sub command is all I need, and netrjs is simple encapsulation of the HTTP request (which is what it looks like on a sniffer). Does anyone have Blue Coat proxies/ACE working? If so, how are your probes configured?
Thanks,

We've recently set up 4 Seats on Xsan and while we've had a knowledgeable admin set up the system, we're in need of someone to help maintain and be on call for any issue we may experience. We have a 10 TB system and are working in FCP. Any advice on how to find someone in the Nashville, TN area?
Thanks,
- MattMatt,
I just happened across your post here... maybe a little late, but if you're still looking for some help with your Xsan, the perfect person for the job is right in town. Chad Grant is an Systems Engineer working with Mac Authority right here in Nashville, TN. He holds nearly every relevant certification, and is not only certified and experienced with Xsan, but is a Final Cut Trainer as well. Probably one of the best people in the country for your needs. For scheduling, contact the Corporate / Enterprise dept. at Mac Authority.

With gaim you can change the port range in the options menu. Just change it to 80:80
Thanks, i will give it a try, and will tell you the result. -

HP's webOS operating environment (linux kernel, webkit UI) is apparently coming on pretty strong. Pixi, Pre/Pre2/Pre3, and of course the forth-coming TouchPad. Does Mozilla have plans to port Firefox to that platform? I' d be the first in line. Big user of Firefox on the Windows OS, and have several webOS devices.
Mozilla have no plans to make a version of Firefox for webOS but there is an unofficial version - http://www.fractalbrew.com/labs/prefox/

Looking at protocols on non default ports in Microsoft Message Analyzer
I have previously been using Microsoft Network Monitor. I'd like to migrate to Microsoft Message Analyzer but I cannot find out how to view network traffic as a certain protocol (in my case TDS, the protocol SQL Server uses) unless it has the default port.
For TDS the default TCP port is 1433 however I need to be able to look at TDS traffic coming on different TCP ports.
It was possible to do this in Network Monitor by editing the switch statement in the TCP parser to add the ports I required along with 1433 and then rebuilding the parsers. In wireshark it's even simpler as you just select the traffic you want and say "View
as TDS" however wireshark's TDS parsing is not as good as Microsoft's and we need the parsing to be as accurate as possible.
Does anyone know how to parse traffic as particular protocols if they are not on the default port in Message Analyzer?
Many thanks
RobWith Message Analyzer and alternate Ports, you have to do much the same workaround we did with Network Monitor. We do plan to make it easier in the future, especially given the increased use of alternate ports, but for now changing the OPN (which is NPL
for Message Analyzer), you can make it parse.
You can make the change to TDS.OPN in C:\Users\YOURLOGINNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\MessageAnalyzer\OPNAndConfiguration\OPNs\Microsoft\MicrosoftCommon\TDS.OPN. You can find the actor that is defined like this:
autostart actor TDSOverTCP(ReassembledTCP.Server server)
These "act" as a the endpoint looking to match messages from TCP. You'll need to find each location where TDS.Port is defined and add your port. So for instance in the first process rule, you'd changed:
process server accepts s:ReassembledTCP.VirtualDataSegment
where s.DestinationPort == Port.TDS && ((inboundCache != null && inboundCache.Buffer != null && inboundCache.Buffer.Count > 0) || IsTDSHeader(s.Payload))
to
process server accepts s:ReassembledTCP.VirtualDataSegment
where (s.DestinationPort == Port.TDS || s.DestinationPort == 5555) && ((inboundCache != null && inboundCache.Buffer != null && inboundCache.Buffer.Count > 0) || IsTDSHeader(s.Payload))
If you need more help, please let me know. Keep in mind when you make an OPN change, we have to rebuild and cache things. This might slow down the UI at first, but after everything you normally touch as been re-cached, it will be fast again.

BEFW11S4 UDP AND TCP PORT opening
How do i open UDP AND TCP ports specifically TCP ports: 80, 6667, 28910, 29900, 29920
UDP ports: 4321, 27900 Its for a networkable game i need to open these ports to play it.Ok But when i try disabling the numbers in the forwarding field i run out of spaces in the field to be able to disable them Is there an advanced firewall settings that i dont know about? I put in all of the range forwarding and put the range forwarding start for example 80 originally (TCP ports: 80, 6667, 28910, 29900, 29920
UDP ports: 4321, 27900) The ones i try to disable i run out of fields to disable them in the forwarding for example there are 10 slots for disabling and Im trying to disable them on two numbers 192.168.1.101. and 192.168.1.100 So i need to disable them for both ip numbers I got 10 fields to enter it into them and 10 x 2 is more than the numbers..... You get me?? and on top of that i dont know if what i did was enough Linksys doesnt want to help me without paying 30 dollars so im just thinking i should buy a new router....... i mean they charge 39 dollars for a new router and they want me to pay 39 dollars for tech support it just doesnt make any sense........ -

Search for localized ResourceBundle
I have an applet that employs some properties files.
All the classes and all the properties files are bundled into a single jar file.
The jar file is indexed.
Nevertheless, when I call ResouceBundle.getBundle("some.package.foo"), it proceeds to make a number of calls back to the web server, looking for localized resources ...
some/package/foo.class
some/package/foo_en.class
some/package/foo_en.properties
some/package/foo_en_US.class
some/package/foo_en_US.properties
This sure seems like a bug to me ... the fact that I have created a jar index should have prevented this from happening.
Q: Is there anything that I can do to prevent these round-trips back to the web server?
Thanks,
MichaelGiven that it is using a class loader that seems
really unlikely.I agree that it seems unlikely. Nevertheless, that is the behavior that I am observing.
I wrote a small test program to demonstrate this. Wrapped it up in a .jar file with an index and a manifest that says that it is sealed.

So I have set up a localhost area in my Mac. I have the new server.app and I am running yosemite 10.10.2 .
I have a program running in my local server enviroment that wants to FTP to my mac .
It asks for the server , name, password, port and path. what are they?
I am pretty certain that the Serveris "localhost",
Name is my macs name (like my-mac-min)
password is "my login password"
and they suggest port 21.
But what is the file path, lets just say my site is set up http://localhost/siteftp and is actually at my Users/Sites/siteftp folder.
Why cant this program connect to the mac.
Is it because they are both operating in the same localhost enviroment,
could it be my folder permissions are not correct on siteftp folder?
Help please !I tried turning the computer off and then back on. The alerts don't show the notice to update as resolved. Hopefully this is not a problem or an indicator or another problem. Should I ignore or reload 10.10.1 from the app store to trigger a resolved check in a green circle?
Interesting that I had to buy server software after my free Yosemite download. I would have hoped that the two pieces of software would have gone together without any complication. It is not positive to end up buying a problem. Ah well, time to move on.
