Thank you for posting this. My power has also been back on since Wednesday night but no Comcast service since before the storm. I rely on Internet service for outside communication as I have very little signal connectivity on my phone in and around my home. Every time I am able to go out, I check the comcast app on my phone, but I get the same message every time. The estimated time of service return message has said "10 pm tonight" since Thursday morning. I've seen repair vehicles around town so I know they're working on it, but real updates pushed through the app and the account page would be nice.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Looking for quick creation of a new contact during activity processing

We are looking for a quick way to create a new contact during the process of activity management. Once I have selected my business partner and then I search for a contact, if the contact I need does not exist yet there are several long involved ways to go create the new contact. Several people from SAP have alluded that there is an add button that should be available on the business partner central search window that comes up when you look for contacts but we have no add button. Does someone know if the add button becomes available later? We are on CRM 5.0 - has anyone customized a way to add a contact here without having to go into the account application relationship tab. We are coming off of Mobile Sales where there is a pop up window to add a contact. We need to replace this functionality.

"Follow-up" button is present to enable a quick creation of follow up.
That is end user can just input those limited fields, and click on this button to create the document without going into the detail.
And at the same time, standard IC do provides another link to the detailed follow up documents to enable user add more detail.
The link "Follow-up Details" can realize such purpose and should be the one you are asking for.
The steps are:
- select the transaction type in the drop down;
- click on "Follow-up Details" link, this lead to another page of the detailed activity creating, only at this time the activity is being created;
- click on the Back button without save, you will return to the previous screen, and get the link in Activity Clipboard for future access;

I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find a version of the Safeway shopping app that will install and run properly on my Z10 OS 10.1. I managed to find an older APK that supposedly converted to BAR but after installation and "Accept" the initial terms, it stops running.
Anybody have a pointer to a working, recent Safeway app? Thank you!

I've tried the APK to BAR converter page on goodreader.com with the 1.0.71 version of the app that I found, and the upload process fails every time so no joy there.

I'm not sure I quite understand what you are asking. The MSC1210 that I checked on is a micro controller from TI and it has a 24-bit A/D. It is a chip and not a card. Is this on a board you bought from someone or one of your own design? If you bought a board from someone, they should have provided some sort of driver. You may want to check with them if they have a LabVIEW driver but otherwise you will probably have to use the Call Library Function Node to access the DLL they (hopefully) provided. If the board is your own design, you will have to write your own windows driver for it.

Done! I built a restaurant recommendation application for the Apple iPhone. Unfortunately it wasn't approved by Apple due to their rather confounding approvals procedure. Looking for a definitive answer on new Mac Pro and After Effects

I want to know if AE CS6 or CC would benefit from the Dual GPU in the new Mac Pro. Or, would I be better suited maxing out a current 27" iMac?

Adobe has said their CC software WILL support OpenCL going forward, but they have not shipped a version that does support it yet.

Onoing comcast outage in southern New Jersey

My cable TV & internet has been out since 1:30 AM on Wednesday 6/24, 7 hours after a major storm. When my electricity came back at midnight, I had TV & internet for an hour & a half, then it dropped and hasn't been on since. I call Comcast and all I get is a recording saying there is an outage and the ETR is at some time. That time comes & goes and the recording is changed to say the ETR is now 12 hours later. This morning, it said it should be fixed by 2 PM. Just now it's been changed to say tomorrow at 2 AM. There's no word about what's going on, what specifically has happened, what's being done to fix it, nothing except a recording that keeps lying to me. What's going on, Comcast? I realize that it was a major storm but it should have been fixed by now. This just shows how little Comcast has spent on network redundancy. There shouldn't be a "single point of failure" in a network as wide as Comcast's.
