Looking for NDIS2 driver for PXI ethernet controller.

I need to find a DOS level network driver (NDIS2) for the PXI815xb Ethernet controller. This driver does not appear to be on the driver disk or hard drive of the PXI chassis.

The file is attached below. Just unzip it to a floppy disk. You will need to modify the settings for your particular network.

  • Driver for the ethernet controller on a HP Pavillion P600000 Series desktop after upgrading to Windows 7 Enterprise?

After upgrading from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Enterprise (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601), I cannot find working drivers for my ethernet controller. The desktop is a HP Pavillion, Model
No. p6710f. I located the drivers on HP's website, but Windows 7 Enterprise
is not listed as compatible. Compatibility list:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Basic (64-bit), Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit), Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (64-bit), Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit), Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
The original driver (according to HP's site) is a Realtek PCIe Family networking controller, Version:7.26.902.2010 Rev. A.
    I tried contacting HP, but apparently I voided their warranty once I upgraded to Windows 7 Enterprise. I do not have a support plan with Microsoft because the operating system was purchase through TechSoup (nonprofit). I greatly appreciate your help;
let me know if you need more information.

  • Looking for an Ethernet selector switch

I am looking for an Ethernet selector switch.
Not an Ethernet hub or classic Ethernet switch.
    Here is the scenario:
I have to concurrently test several devices though a Telnet interface, that all have the same hardcoded IP address.
So I can not just plug them all into an Ethernet hub.
Using more than one network interface will not work because the destination IP is the same so I can not setup static routing...
Looking for ideas and suggestions, and of course it has to lend it's self to being controled through LabVIEW.

Not the cheapest solution but a managed switch would allow you to accomplish this. You would control the switch programmatically and turn ports on or off as desired. It would require you to do some programming to interface with the switch. Some support SNMP and other would have to simulate a command line interface.

  • Looking for a gaming controller that will work with iMac

I'm not really into gaming, but I just bought a game and right now I have to use the keyboard keys and I'm finding it to be a not so enjoyable gaming experience. So I would like to purchase a gaming controller.... does anyone have any recommendations on ones that work for the IMac?
    Thanks!

I second the logitech rumblepad 2. I have the cordless version. Works like a charm, I had a 3rd party system preference pane for changing the buttons, I used it once to set up, the buttons didn't really do what I said, could well have been me not doing it right.
I had the 3rd part pane because I couldn't get it set up in Need For Speed Carbon, but now it works perfectly on its own.

  • Multiple (3 or more) monitors for PXI 8110 controller?

I'm just fishing for help from the NI community out there to help a customer: has anyone had success using the PXI 8110 with multiple (3 or more) monitors?  I believe it can inherently support 2 monitors.  We've tried ADlink and Peritek cPCI cards without success.
If so, please share how you accomplished it.  Thanks!

The Apple OS hates unmatched video cards.. and Photoshop CS4 shows you that clearly.
I started with 2 nVidia 7300s... upgraded to 1 nVidia 8800 and kept 1 nVidia 7300... crashed every 10 minutes it seems.
Then upgraded to 2 nVidia 8800s. I still get 1 or 2 crashes a day but nothing near what I got with unmatched video cards.
Based on all my research and the crash reports posted it seems clear that the primary cause of the issue is Apple video drivers and their inability to tell the cards apart. In many cases my crashes were occurring because the drivers were asking the 7300 to do things it simply could not do. I found with the matched 8800 cards most days things run fairly smoothly. I will get a crash or two a day, but I can tell immediately when Photoshop is going to crash. Not that that is any help. But I can at least work now. I just must relaunch PS a couple times and save often.
From what I've found there's little you can do. Basically matched video cards help a great deal but they aren't perfect. Remove one card so you are only using a single video card, or wait for Apple to fix drivers (OS10.6 in Sept maybe???). This is clearly a case where Apple embedding drivers in the OS can be an issue because you can't simply download an ATI or nVidia update and install it.
The one thing I haven't tested with the matched 8800 cards is to turn off OpenGL since that's a primary reason for my upgrading (rotating canvas is a life saver). Turning off all Open GL features may make PS more stable on my system with matched cards. I'm not certain. I can definitively tell you that unmatched video cards are a nightmare and matching 8800s are pretty good. Nothing I'm up in arms about and I have the GL features to use.

  • Gateway Manager is looking for a Gateway Controller

I have installed Apple Service Toolkit and cannot get the  Gateway Manager to open.  It is prompting me for a password and the directions ask me to use 'apple'.  It says that it is an invalid password.  I try the password from the last time I setup the Apple Service Toolkit and it is invalid as well.  I chatted with tech support and they gave me some plist to delete and reinstall the tools.  I did that and got the same result.  I have installed this three previous times with success but I am not sure what the issue is with this time.  Any help would be appreciated.  I have emailed [email protected]

This is what was most helpful to me in this situation
    http://www.verschoren.com/blog/2014/10/31/searching-for-gateway-controller-updat e
    Basically...
Open /Library/Preferences/com.apple.gateway.plist with textwrangler (or the like)
Change "en0" to whatever network interface is connected the diagnostic network (in our case, en4, the thunderbolt to enet adapter that connects to the switch our UUTs connect to)
    Reboot
YMMV, but that's what finally worked for us.

    Hi:
    You can use this one.

But first, make sure you install the chipset driver and reboot before attempting to install the ethernet driver.

  • Ethernet controller driver not installing after Windows Server 2008 installation on Cisco UCS blade

I am using MDT 2010 to deploy Windows Server 2008 to a Cisco UCS B200 blade. The OS and hotfixes install with no problem. The system reboots and attempts to connect to the deployment share to continue with the task sequence and I receive an error stating
"A connection to the deployment share could not be made. The following networking device did not have a driver installed. PCI\VEN_1137&DEV_0043&SUBSYS_00481137&REV_A2"
The driver in question is the driver for the Ethernet controller for the UCS blade. More specifically, it is the network driver for the Palo card in the UCS Chassis. When I Ignore or Abort the install, I am able to manually install the driver and restart the
task sequence. The build then completes successfully with no further issue. I just cannot seem to automate the driver install. Has anyone dealt with this type of issue?

Vik and stealthfield - thank you for your responses.
I was preparing a script to manually move the driver into the c:\windows\inf location when I had to stop to create a new task sequence for a different build. It was while building this task sequence that I found the soulution to the problem.
In the Post Install -> Inject Drivers step of the Task Sequence, I noticed that it was executing a command of type "Inject Drivers" with a selection profile of "All Drivers" and "Install only matching drivers
    from the selection profile" selected.
I changed this to run a command of type "Run Command Line" and specified that it execute "%Scriptroot%\ZTIdrivers.wsf". I noticed that this was selected in one of my other builds that was working properly, so I thought I'd
give it a try. - IT WORKED.
So to sum up, the solution was to change the type of command being executed in the "Post Install -> Inject Drivers" step of the task sequence. After this change, the machine came up and continued the task sequence with no further issues.
Thanks again for the responses - They were helpful and I do appreciate it.
