Looking For Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility

I'm trying to install a development Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.7 (Weblogic, BPM, etc) environment in a Windows Virtual Box VM. I'm following the directions in the following document: Oracle Fusion Middleware Download, Installation, and Configuration ReadMe. I've installed Oracle 11G r2 and am on the step for using the "Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility". I have looked high and low and can't find this utility on the Oracle web site. Can someone PLEASE point me to the location so I can download it.

Actually it is delivered on Edelivery and as a Patch on MOS:
Oracle® Fusion Middleware Download, Installation, and Configuration ReadMe
5.2 Downloading the Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility
You use the Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility to install the database schemas that are required by specific Oracle Fusion Middleware products.
For Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.7.0), download one of the following:
Repository Creation Utility 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.7.0) from OTN or Oracle Software Delivery Cloud
Patch 16471709 (for Windows and Linux 32-bit systems) from My Oracle Support

  • Open Script supports Oracle Fusion Middleware Application

    Hi,
Can anybody please confirm whether Oracle Open Script 9.2 supports scripting for Oracle Fusion Middleware Applications?
We have received a project proposal to do load test for the same.
    Appreciate for early response
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,

    Hi Mahesh
ATS supports different protocols when you say Fusion Middleware do you know which protocols you are testing ?
I have used ATS to test Middleware a lot but is really the protocol that you need to test so find out the protocol that you are testing and you will know if its supported by ATS.

  • Changing Oracle Fusion Middleware text in background of the forms.

    Dear All,
    I have migrated forms 6i into 11g.
Now In the background of forms, "Oracle Fusion MiddleWare" Text displaying.
While searching for the solution I got something like JAR and all. I dont understand this.
Can anybody tell me where to change the setting for "Oracle Fusion MiddleWare" Text display.
    Please help me out.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Raja.

In formsweb.cfg, change BACKGROUND to point to the image of your choice. The value is a virtual path so you can use a fully qualified path or relative path. For example:
    BACKGROUND=http://myServer/icons/background.gif
    OR
    BACKGROUND=/icons/background.gif
The same is true for LOGO and SPLASHSCREEN
Check out the documentation. This is always a good place to start.

  • How long should the Repository Creation Utility take for Oracle Portal?

I'm running the Oracle Repository Creation Utility (RCU) as a precursor to installing WebCenter, and the schema creation process is stuck on the "Portal" step. The first 10-12 steps each took less than 30 seconds to complete, and the last step has been going for 2 hours 14 minutes.
I checked the rcu log files, and they are constantly being updated with new progress information as though the process is still working. I haven't been able to find anyone else on the internet with this problem. From various screenshots on google, it looks like it can complete in under 10 minutes in some cases.
    Thanks,
    Dave

Is it showing some error ?
Check with DB settings and parameters properly.Usaully it should not take long time to complete.Possible chances are corrupt rcu file.I would suggest download again the RCU and re-run it.
Anyways in which version of DB you are trying to install ?(vendor and version).
Which version of RCU you are using ?

  • Repository Creation Utility for windows 7 64 bit

    Hi All,
I did not find Repository Creation Utility for windows 7 64 bit.
Any idea how I can get around this or where I can find RCU for windows 7 64 bit.
    Thanks, in advance!

    Hi DK,
There is not a particular 64bit installation. I think it works like this: if you are using a 64bit JDK the apps server is also running 64 bit.
You can find the generic jar here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/wls-main-097127.html and take the generic one (http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/middleware/11g/wls1033_generic.jar)
You install this by a command like this (you have to look up the documentation): java -XXm.... .... wls1033_generic.jar
    Then a installer pops up.
    So these were my steps:
    - installed RCU
    - installed 64 bits JDK (jdk-6u21-windows-x64.exe)
    - installed Weblogic (wls1033_generic.jar)
    - installed OBI as "software only"
    - configured OBIi (config.bat you can find in <obi11g home>\Oracle_BI1\bin)
All together it does not take much longer then the 32bit install. Only some extra steps to do.
Hope this works for you too.

  • Install Repository Creation Utility [RCU] for Discoverer 11g

    Friends !
Please help me in answering below quesitons.
    1. We are implementing Discoverer 11g on Sun Solaris 64 SParc systems
    2. For this i did download software using "edelivery" - Oracle Fusion MiddleWare 11g.
    3. I did installed Weblogic server
    4. But there is no "Repository Creation Utility " for solaris env. Is it mandatory to install Repository Creation Utility for discoverer 11g installation
our main goal is to install discoverer 11g and integrate with e-business environment 12.1.3
    Please advise on this
    Regards
    VSH

    Please see MOS note 858748.1.
Section "5. RCU only on Linux x86 and Windows 32 bit"
    This states:
"Since the Repository Creation Utility (RCU) is only available on Linux and Windows, how can I create schemas in other supported Oracle Database platforms?
    Answer:
RCU is only available for Windows 32 bit and Linux x86. Run RCU on these supported platforms to remotely access a certified Oracle Database Server (see Certification Guide) by following the RCU User's Guide"
There are then links to useful information so definitely read that note.

  • Is 'Repository Creation Utility' a mandatory for SOA Suite

    Hi All,
I am new to Oracle Weblogic 11g application server. I worked on Oracle 10g app server. I am very much interested in BPEL and planning to learn BPEL and SOA related concepts.
I have Jdeveloper 11.1.1.0.1, Oracle Weblogic server 10.3.2, Oracle Database 10.2.0.3 for windows vista installed in my laptop.
Now I downloaded SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.0 and JDeveloper SOA Composite editor. But in the required additional software list of SOA Suite there is a requirement for *'Repository Creation Utility'*.
Can anyone provide me the link for documentation of what is this and why it is required?
I worked in BPEL on Oracle 10g and there was no such extra repository creation utility. I am very much novice in this technology and planning to learn only basic concepts of BPEL (Basic is very generalized word here. I mean using adapters, working with web services in BPEL etc.).
For these kind of basics and running SOA Suite is repository creation utility a mandatory requirement?
If yes, can I install repository creation utility with my database version of *10.2.0.3* (Because I read that repository creation utility works with 10.2.0.4 or higher)?
If no, how can i get the patchset to upgrade my database to 10.2.0.4 from 10.2.0.3.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pavan.

1--> Yes, it is mandatory to run "RCU" for installing/developing using FMW/SOA Suite 11g.
2--> You dont need to install RCU, it can be downloaded as a zip file and once you unzip it, it can be run directly.
3--> "What it is" --> At a higher level it is a bunch of scripts required to create tablespaces related to SOA/BPEL Processes. As you may know that BPEL processes are stateful processes and their states etc need to be stored in a database.
4--> Even in Oracle 10g there used to be repository, but it got installed by default and tables created in default olite database.

  • Installing  Repository Creation Utility (RCU) for OBIEE 11g

    Hello,
We are working on installing the Oracle Business Intelligence Entreprise Edition Plus 11g (v 11.1.1.6.0) for a POC in our Company's network.
We have to install the OBI Server and other server-side components on a IBM AIX (64-Bit) server; and the client tools on the local Desktops.
    My queries:
*1. I am downloading the following softwares for this setup. Please help me understand is this the complete list of softwares required, or are there any more softwares required for OBIEE 11g intallation?*
List of softwares to be downloaded:
    1) Oracle Business Intelligence, v. 11.1.1.6.0
    - for AIX (64-Bit):
    Disk 1 (1of2) (1.4G) (cksum 4182440856)
    Disk 1 (2of2) (1.5G) (cksum 2020935297)
    Disk 2 (1of2) (1.7G) (cksum 796853559)
    Disk 2 (2of2) (1.3G) (cksum 685152953)
    Disk 3 (1.6G) (cksum 1431984641)
    2) Repository Creation Utility (11.1.1.6.0)
    for Microsoft Windows (32-bit) (320M) (cksum 2503314275) OR for Linux x86 (32-bit) (391M) (cksum 201758785)
    Link for (1) and (2): http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-enterprise-edition/downloads/bi-downloads-1525270.html
    3) Oracle Business Intelligence Developer Client Tools Installer (11.1.1.6.0)
    - for Microsoft Windows x86 (32/64-bit): (360M) (cksum 3317017977)
    Link for (3): http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-enterprise-edition/downloads/bus-intelligence-11g-165436.html
NOTE: The JDK 1.5.0 is installed
*2. Where should the additional required software 'Repository Creation Utility' be installed in this case?*
I can see it is available for 32-bit OS (Windows or Linux x86), and that is why I suspect it to be a client-side software - which is to be installed on my local desktop. Hence, Can I download the Repository Creation Utility (11.1.1.6.0) for Microsoft Windows (32-bit) (320M) (cksum 2503314275)
    Please clarify.
*4. I will not be installing any of the Oracle BI Applications, so will I require the software Oracle Business Intelligence Data Warehouse Administration Console (10.1.3.4.1)?*
    I assume NO.
*5. IMP: Is there a Web server (E.g. Oracle WebLogic Server) included in the OBIEE suite, which gets installed in the default installation settings?*
OR Is there a need to download and install a separate Webserver on the AIX system before installing OBIEE.
    Please reply ASAP.
    Thanks,
    Shweta.

Although it is a POC, but the installation has to be done on a AIX6.1 remote system, which will be used as a server in the enterprise, with 5 to 7 people accessing it. So 'simple install' is not suitable in this case.
    The AIX6.1 system has a JDK 6 (64 bit).
I understand that the OBIEE 11g suite comes with a Oracle WebLogic Server (OWLS) installable included in the suite. However, in case of Software Only installation type, the OWLS needs to installed first and then the installer has to be started in 'Softwar Only' mode.
    Could anyone please suggest:
*1) does 'Enterprise Install' type suite on the AIX6.1 system? If yes, does it mean that it will install JDK once again? is this recommended, as the host system is a shared server and the existing JDK 6 (64-bit) can be in use by other applications on this system.*
*2) If (1) is not true, is there a way to install the Oracle WebLogic server using the OBIEE 11g installer itself? or do I need to download the WebLogic server installer separately from the OTN site?*
Thanks in advance for any helping pointers on the above.
Please reply ASAP, as this is urgent.
    Thanks,
    Shweta.

You would install Oracle Fusion Middleware and select the right components you would use from that stack with Peoplesoft. Then install peopletools and point to the Oracle Fusion Middleware when prompted.

  • Oracle Fusion Middleware Java API Reference for Oracle ADF Mobile

Where can I find "Oracle Fusion Middleware Java API Reference for Oracle ADF Mobile"?
Thanks a lot for your time.

Hi, this is referring to the JavaDocs for Java methods/classes supported by ADF Mobile. You can typically right (or ctrl) click on any ADF Mobile specific Java method and select "JavaDoc". You can open up a sample app that contains any Java class - for example the HR sample app, and find any method with name "adfmf*". You should be able to see the Java doc for the ADF Mobile related methods/classes.
