Looking for plugins & downloads

Can anyone recommend any sites for getting some plugins and downloads - prefereably free? I'm running Logic Pro 6.4.3 on a 1Ghz G4 with 1 Mb RAM - Someone mentioned AU plugins? I would particularly like interesting keyboard sounds - Mellotron, Choirs, strange sounds, loops, rhythmns, guitar processing etc.

So, you're saying that once that downloads and you run it, there's nothing else to get online? I could run Firefox Setup 6.0.2.exe successfully while not connected to the Internet?

Hi,
Go into song view, then go to menu > view > view options and select iCloud status. This tells you if tracks have been matched, uploaded, purchased, inelligible, duplicate or waiting. Identify the 4 tracks waiting. Anything unusual about them, could be a faulty file. You may need remove them and let process complete.

Looking for plugin that saves download URL in metadata

I'm looking for a firefox add-on with a feature that makes it so whenever you download an image, the URL of the image is automatically saved to the metadata of the file, like in the comments section or something. This would be very useful for finding out where you got some image later if you forgot where you found it.

Here's a suggestion that should cut down on the accidental launching of Time Machine:
Go to /Applications. Hold down controloptioncommand and drag Time Machine to the Desktop. This will create an alias. Then remove Time Machine from the Dock. If you want to launch TM, just double click the TM alias on the Desktop.
You could also download Spark, which allows you to open an app with a keyboard shortcut. You could program control-F13 to launch Time Machine, for example. Then you don't need TM in the Dock.

Well, let's not wait for the future. Here it is: On Firefox you can download a video helper and install it. That enables you to go any site on the internet with video. If you want to download a video to your desktop, let's say, you look for the swirling rainbow color balls, and next to it is a symbol that when you click on it reveals the video playing. You click the video title, and it is downloaded to your desktop if you so choose that location. Can I do that with Safari? Can I go on the internet and look for the equivalent download helper for mac? I don't want to always download videos using Firefox, though it's very easy....Thanks

Looking for opensource download manager written in java.

I know this is a bit off-topic - I hope it does not bother anybody.
I am looking for an opensource download manager written in java to include it into my opensource lan filesharing tool which is mature and proofen.
It has all the search/p2p stuff implemented and working well but download functionality is only very limited.
I already serached on google and sourceforge ... but at least google was not my friend and the projects on SF didn't look that mature.
So if you know one (or even more ;) ) please let me know.

Looking for Plugins for Powerpoint & Excel files

I am creating my website in iWeb and it's great! I am looking for a way to have users open the powerpoint and excel files within the website, similar to the way these files open in Internet Explorer. I realize that things are different between ie and Safari; however, I would be most grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. When I put a link to a .pps or .xl file on iWeb, clicking on it opens to the location where the website is stored and then the user can click to open the file. I would like to eliminate having them go to the source of the website.

When i open a PDF in safari it always opens sideways. How do I make it open correctly? I looked for plugins to no avail.

I don't think it is adobe opening the pdf's but I am not sure how to tell. I can't even zoom or rotate to view correctly.

Back up all data.
In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
I've seen an unconfirmed report that the "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you might need to remove it as well, if applicable.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

What do we mean by "large downloads"? Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop Elements, for example, are each over 1.1 GB. The approximate download times for files this size are:
• On a cable connection (3 mbps): 50 minutes.
• On a DSL connection (1.5 mbps): 1 hrs. 39 minutes.
The Adobe Download Assistant helps most people manage the download of these large files, for example by enabling pause/resume of the downloads, and checking to ensure the complete file(s) are downloaded before actual installation begins.
While we strongly recommend you first attempt to download trial versions using the Adobe Download Assistant, we also realize that some people just prefer to manage their own downloads directly, using a web browser. For those of you who do, please follow the instructions carefully here.

I was trying everything I could think of on my end to download the InDesign trial from this link:

I must have tried it a hundred times using every browser, download manager, login, logout, whatever. At one point the server sent me a 1.2 MB file that was corrupt, but on all other attempts it just errored out. The current response entity is:
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/IDSN/8/win32/InDesign_8_LS16.exe?" on this server.

When I switched to the 7zip file and after many more attempts it finally downloaded. The exe link never worked.
I don't know if this is a security thing or a failed server but it is not a good way to distribute software either way.

Is it possible to find a evaluation version of the SAP Portal EP6 SP2 for linux. To evalutate and check the installation procedure.

Under downloads -> Webas there is a 640 release of the webas for linux. Installing this is basically the same as installing the portal.
