  • Query on components to be used for SAP SRM Installation

We have a requirement for SRM Server.. I need some help on what installation objects should I download. This is on AIX and DB2
for "EHP1 FOR SAP SRM 7.0 -> based on SAP NetWeaver 7.02"
    I'm sure that I'll need :
    1) Installation Master

    3) For Java stack, the component available is BS7i2010 Java Components 1x4 of 4
I have NW 7.3 based EP system. Can that be used for Java or Do I need to install another stand alone Java ?
    If it can be used:
    - Will it not create problems b'coz portal is on 7.3 and SRM is based on 7.02
    - are there any SRM Java specific components in this installation object or is it a plain NW 7.02 Java stack ?
    4) What is SAP SRM 7.0 EHP1 Components in terms of functionality given?
    5) We need MDM Server:.
For MDM Server: Where do I need to download MDM Server from ? I am not sure If we have license under our S-user.. Can you give me the path where download starts ?
For MDM Catalog :what is the difference in

  • SMSY-Diagnostic Configuration for SAP SRM 5.0

    Hi!
I would like to set up the Diagnostics for SAP SRM 5.0.
SAP SRM 5.0 has ABAP and J2EE stack as well (and TREX).
When I define the system as SAP SRM 5.0 in tcode SMSY and assign the Java system component of type SAP NetWeaver/SAP NetWeaver 04/Application Server Java:
Unfortunately when I start SMD Setup wizard no java relevant components are visible.
Furthermore I do not get any data under Workload Analysis and receive:
The solution / systems you selected do not contain any software components currently supported by E2E Workload Analysis
    My question is:
What is the right definition of SAP SRM 5.0 for Solution Manager Diagnostics?
    Thank you very much
    regards
    Thom

Before you can move forward with SMD, you need to make sure the following components are working....
    1. SLD is running on Solution Manager and SMSY is able to read from it.
    2. The SCM system is registered with the SLD
    3. You created a landscape which has a leading role that correlates to the role for your SCM system in SMSY.
    4. You've installed the SMD agent on the CM system
Please confirm that you have completed the above.

    Hope that i could help.

  • Business Package for SAP SRM

    Hi experts,
We have installed SAP ECC 6.0 with SRM addon on 2 differents mandants.
Does someone knows if this configuration allows the use of the "Business Package for SAP SRM" into the SAP Portal ?
After reading the on line documentation for SRM business package ( <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm50/helpdata/en/dd/458a6764e84ff6b5e809b51c930678/frameset.htm">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm50/helpdata/en/dd/458a6764e84ff6b5e809b51c930678/frameset.htm</a> ), I feels that SRM plugin is not sufficient.
    Does someone can confirm ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Jean-Philippe,
as far as I know, the business packages and the portal integration can only be
used in a full SRM environment. The addon is restricted to several scenarios,
    specifically for Self Service Procurement.
If you want to use all the features, you need to go for a full SRM Implementation.
    Cheers,
    Claudia

  • I need materials for SAP SRM  NPP(Non production procurement)

Please provide materials for SAP SRM NPP, General ideas about it.
    regards,
    George.

    Salut George,
in general, all items that a business procures which directly end up in the production process are acquired through "production procurement". Examples for production marerial or "direct" material are raw materials, or fuel/energy for the producing machines.
The abbreviation NPP for the (too) short cut Non-Production Procurement refers to procurement of so-called "non-production materials and services", also known as "indirect procurement". What "non-production" is depends on the company that produces. Here some examples:
At Xerox, the copy machine maker, NPP "covers all purchases of supplies other than supplies used in the actual production of copying machines. Thus, all office supplies, from desks and personal computers to pencils and stationary comes under the category of non-production procurement." {you can probably find the source via google}.
Resources, when not directly involved in the manufacturing process, such as engineers, product designer, quality inspectors, and administrators, may be referred to as non-production labor. Again, it depends on the production process of the company! The procurement of these resources may be seen as non-production procurement as well.
I hope this helps. Best regards,
    Andreas

  • Career for SAP Basis consultant

    Dear Friends,
I am into SAP Basis, most of the jobs have been outsourced in UK as such there are hardly any jobs in sap basis . Please can u kindly suggest me what is the next best option for SAP Basis for more career opportunities. Please kindly suggest me, I don't have job for last 10 months.
    Thanks.
    aarya

I am trying to reply all the bullets in your post one by one.
Some of the agencies (AtoS and some others) I have got in touch with to discuss this certification have suggested doing SAP SD or MM certification, keeping my experience in view. If I do it what is your guess how soon I could find a job with this certification.
for training and certification you can go to any SAP authorized institute , you can find many depends upon which country you are presently staying.
What kind of salary will I be able to attract if I do get a job. Currently I am getting good salary by auto industry standards (around $15K). As per the information I have got the starting salaries in these roles are some times less than half of what I am getting now.
if you are already at $15K  (1,50,000 US Dollar if i correctly understand)  then you are earning much higer then a SAP consultant having a decade experience in SAP. Better look for management job. If salary is the criteria.
Finally how fast is the growth in this industry? Let us say I do the certification spend some $500 and join a company with salary less than half of my current. After doing this, as per your experience how soon will I be able to reach or exceed the salary I would have been getting otherwise (assume I perform fairly well in my SAP role ;-).
    refer the above one
So finally should I go ahead with the certification?
Certification is optional , if you just have user level experience you may not be knowing all what comes within an module, i still recommend training as it give you all back ground about SAP and you can understand most of the master data piece to create a right foundation for a module.
    Hope this will help you.
    Thanks

  • XI content for SAP SRM SERVER 6.0

    Hi All,
I want to implement SRM-MDM CATALOG Business scenario, but i am not getting the XI content for Software Component  Version <b>SAP SRM SERVER 6.0</b>.
Can anybody tell me from where to get the XI content for Software Component  Version <b>SAP SRM SERVER 6.0</b>.
    Helpful answers will be rewarded.
    Thanks,
    Shiv

    Hi Shiv,
You can get the XI contents for SRM Server 6.0 under this URL:
    https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/swdc
Support Packages and Patches -> SAP Application Components -> SAP SRM (WITH SAP EBP) -> SAP SRM 6.0 -> Entry by Component -> XI Content
But for this, you requires a valid marketplace user-id and password.
But according to my understanding, you can use the XI contents for SRM MDM Catalog 1.0 under SAP SRM 5.0 also.
    The file name is SRMMDMCAT1000_2-20001719.ZIP.
    Thanks

    4) Test  TCP/IP connections in /nsm59::
         SAPDB_DBM                        SAP DB dbmrfc server

< According your information the test connection in /ndb59 failed for :

& Determine status using TCP/IP connection SAPDB_DBM_DAEMON (DBMRFC
    session mode) >
Run /ndb59 -> Connection test -> select the appl. Server -> Connection test
=> /nst11 && check errors in dev_rd at the end.
/nsm21 -> check the system errors.
/nst11 -> check the errors in the corresponding dev log of WP.
Do you have blank space in the IndepProgPath  path name?
