Looking for tutorial or developer to for hotkey extension for Flash Pro.

I'm using Flash Pro CS6 on a Windows 8 touch/pen tablet. In put tablet mode, some of the common commands, especially undo, are difficult to reach without hotkeys or keyboard shortcuts.
What I need is an on-screen panel with big easy-to-hit "Undo" and "Redo" buttons that I can use as hotkeys on the touchscreen, much like the hotkeys on a Wacom Intuos or Cintiq. I have a little programming knowledge, but don't know where to start in creating an extension panel like this.
Can anyone suggest a good sarting tutorial for this type of add-on, or would anyone be willing to bash out such an extension?
Thank you for your time.

Hi Arafat,
Thank you for the suggestion but I had already looked at that.
I am looking for a working example or step-by-step tutorial that updates a table in SAP, using ABAP webdynpro. The PO example provided with Designer does not connect with SAP; also, the tutorial steps provided in the Designer Help do not even match the way the example form is constructed! (Help says use table object, the example pdf uses a repeating subform).
My problem seems to be in the binding between the form and SAP.  I have tried various changes and nothing I try is transferring any data except the first row of the table.
I hope someone has a SAP example for this situation.

  • Release notes for december 2013 update for Flash Pro CC

    Hello Adobe.
Where are the release notes for the december 2013 update for Flash Pro CC? I just found this http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/release-note/release-notes-flash-pro-cc.html with just "contains critical bug fixes". What are they? Do i need them? Are they my submissions so that you don't want to tell other people?

    HI infeter,
The following fixes have been done in the December update - #13.1.0.226
    1) Fix for Multi-line Errors are not being reported in Flash to Flash Builder workflow
    2) AIR for Android UI dialog: Shared runtime and emulator deployment options under Deployment section gets enabled on adding AIR4.0 SDK. This should not be enabled since we dont support shared runtime from AIR 3.9 onwards.
Also certain null checks were added to fix crashes based on crashes logs that were reported.
    Thanks

  • How to update AIR SDK for Flash Pro CC?

The most recent info I can find is for Flash Pro CS6:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/overlay-air-sdk-flash-professional1.html
Does this work in Flash Pro CC?

    Thanks Colin.
I was thinking of adding a comment to my previous post along the lines of, "You would think that Adobe could make this process easy."   It appears that they could, and they have.

  • Looking for Flash/Adobe Air Developer for Startup who has some free time

We are looking for a Flash and Air developer who will be creating a Website Music Player for a new music startup Stereo9 (www.stereo9.com).   We are also looking for the developer to be able to create a desktop application in Air, which will be used if someone chooses to download a song from the website...and the desktop application will be responsible for managing the download and downloading the music to the user's computer.  The functionality between the player and the download tool is pretty simple, and we need to just get it up to a "1.0 launch phase".  The rest of the application is rather robust, so for a small investment you can become involved in this venture that has a lot of potential where we are in touch with venture capitalists including the founder of Last.fm.
The rest of the application is developed (completed over the last 2 years) and the engineer that we had for this area of the platform is no longer available to complete that side, you will receive a percentage of the stock options of the startup and we only need the application to be at a simple 1.0 level to get things started.   Please send an email with your interest and your confidence level that you'll be able to complete all aspects of this project.

I am a mid-level Flex/AIR developer who offers Flex/AIR consulting. Your project sounds similar to others I have worked on. Email me at [email protected] and we can look at your requirements.

    Hi Hugh
Rather than attempting to find those files, I suggest you lock the Shared Object folder. This precludes any Flash cookie info from being written to your HD.
To do so, go to the Finder and navigate to the Macromedia folder - Your User Account>Library>Preferences folder. Continue drilling down to the Shared Objects folder. Now, simply move to the trash the contents of the Shared Objects folder. Once the folder is empty, click on the Shared Objects folder, Command/I to open its Info panel and click on the Locked option, then close the panel.
From here on out, no information will be written to that file. I did this awhile ago and have not had any adverse effect from locking the folder.

  • Looking for Flash 8 Book

    Hi
I work for a video production company and we've recently
purchased Studio 8. I'm looking for a good tutorial book/s that
will walk me through Flash 8 and Dreamweaver 8. Can anyone suggest
a good book for each program?
    Thanks for the help.
    Peter

    I am
only slightly exposed to design patterns, so I would
like a book that covers the "introductions" and such
to basic design patterns, as well as more advanced
design patterns as the book progresses. Most
importantly, I don't want a book that assumes
you have already read some other book!I find Holub on Patterns very good,

The above is to a complementary site about the Game of Life, one of two examples used in the book.

  • Looking for flash cookies (or .sol files)

    Good day, all
Earlier this year I found out about Flash cookies (the .sol files). I didn’t like the idea so when I quit Safari I would run a search for .sol and then delete them all. Up until now I was using 10.3.9 for the OS and the 4 year old version of Safari.
Last weekend I up dated to 10.5.8 for the OS and 4.0.2 for Safari as I was concerned about security. (All went smooth and they work fine. Thanks to all that gave advice on how to do this!)
Now when I quit Safari and run the search for .sol I don’t get any files ending in this. I’m not keen on Spotlight yet, but I assume if I put in .sol it will return anything with .sol in it, or ending with it. Perhaps I am wrong on this?
I looked in the forums and found a post from Klaus1 that said where to look for .sol files and traced down the spot. He wrote: “In Mac OS X they are stored in the following location:
/User’s Home Folder/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects.
On my Mac, the directories are a bit different from this, but I found a #SharedObjects folder but it had no files ending in .sol and I found a whole lot of empty folders under /flashplayer/sys that reflect websites I’ve been to (#www.4kidstv.com) but still no .sol files.
So my question is: am I failing to find them? Or are they being deleted automatically? (I doubt it) Or are they in some new format that doesn’t end in .sol?
    Thanks,
    Hugh

  • Looking for Mac Pro comparisons to first Mac Pro

I have a Mac Pro Quad bought the same day the first intel mac pros came out. I had a horrible experience with my local Apple Store at the Summit in the Birmingham, AL area which was followed by an even worse experience with the Apple Online support. After standing at the Mac Pro waiting for 45 minutes at the store without anyone approaching me at all, I had to leave and then called the same store during my last 15 minutes of standing there to see if someone who answered the phone would come to the front of the store. After I left it was 25 minutes later before someone finally answered the phone. They tried locating anyone in the store and finding that no person there had a clue they forwarded me to the Apple Care line. Again after a 15 minute wait for someone there I thought I had someone who would answer my question and she got lots of info and was looking up my computer details and was about to answer the question and she accidentally hung up on me and never called back - knowing that I have no way of getting back in touch with her. Over an hour and a half shot with no answer.
Now - what was the question - I have, as I said, an original Mac Pro (dual processor - duo core 2.66 Ghz with 4 GB Ram). I want real accurate net processor comparison data with the current dual Quad core Mac Pro computer. I don't just want to hear that "its a lot faster". The Apple website compares the previous 8 core with the current 8 core but nothing else. I would be happy with an accurate Specmark comparison. Other than basic browsing and email the vast majority of my work on the computer is video editing in Final Cut Pro and working with Adobe's Master Collection - Photoshop CS5, Premiere Pro, Flash, and Illustrator.
Since Apple has failed miserably at helping me I am hoping there might be someone here with some clue as to what I am looking for. The website compares todays 8 core with today's 12 core and shows that for $1,500 more you get 33% speed improvement. Naturally that is not a good return but I am 100% confident that data exists somewhere that accurately compares my computer to the latest 8 core Mac Pro.
    Thanks

I would direct you to Geekbench, Barefeats, MacPerformanceGuide for a couple starters.
4GB RAM is/was very minimal and basic.
What do you use and do on Mac Pro matters a lot as to what to expect.
The 3.33GHz 6-core with SSD boot drive would be good, with 3-4 x 8GB RAM.

  • Where might I find a good tutorial on creating an HTML-5 based extension for Flash Pro CC?

I have extension builder 3 installed in eclipse and it appears to be working like normal. I'm able to create a new extension builder project. I need help taking the next steps.
Previously in extension builder 2.1 and Flash Builder 4.6 it auto-created the .mxml and .as files for me so all I had to do was insert a bit of jsfl into the as script section and save and could see it show up as a panel in my Flash Pro panels menu. With EB3 I can't really tell what it's doing and am unsure on how to continue, are there any boiler plate files available I can plug in? I want to start simple and add a button, a bit of jsfl, and progress but can't seem to get past installing eb3. Any help or tutorials available? Thanks

Barnes & Noble is an excellent source of knowledge; I often end up there with a notebook and a pen myself. It is true though, sometimes trying to find information about programming can be an obscured journey; there are often times when something so simple, if explained better would have saved hours of trial and error. I don't think there's a person on this forum that hasn't experienced this exact scenario, and probably more than once.
As unfortunate as it is, this is the way it is, programmers don't always make the best writers. Assumptions are made and people don't always have the time to write out all the specific details of a how-to, but in a way you have to learn to read through that. If you're interested in really learning how to program in any language, I can't think of a better way to learn it. When you read a snippet of code and it doesn't work, the only thing you can do is figure out why it doesn't work or to abandon the code and move on. As harsh as this is, it can really help improve your knowledge; it forces you to really understand the tool(s) you're using and once you understand it, you start to progress much faster.
I know you were probably were wanting more of a straight-forward answer, but I think it's important to know that we all have and still go through the same sort of frustrations. My suggestion is to find a site, book, a user group, or a class that teaches you what you need to know, and in a way that makes sense to you. Here are some resources you might want to check out. Good luck.

  • Extensions for Flash Pro in CC?

I tried to open the Exchange using Window > Extensions and the only thing I see is "No Extensions Installed".  Next I tried the link on the welcome screen and just got a web page that said click here for CC users only to find that Flash doesn't get Exchange built in.  OK - how do we get extensions in Flash CC?
    Rick near Atlanta

    Thanks, that explains a lot.
I'm afraid I'm a bit confused about what the preferred way of developing extensions is going ahead. There seems to be a lot of conflicting documentation on the adobe site, e.g. http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite.html  seems like the top page for extension documentation but it only talks about CS SDK 2.0 which uses CSXS and doesn't seem to be compatible with creative cloud apps.
Then there's CS Extension Builder 2.1 which looks like it supports Flash Pro CC but isn't mentioned in the pages you linked too and it doesn't mention JSFL, but talks about the CSAW library.
    Do you know if:
    * The CS SDK has been dropped completely?
    * CS Extenstion Builder is deprecated? (I can't see it as an option in the list of Creative Cloud apps)
    * Is then any documentation/utilities to help migrate existing CSXS extensions to work with creative cloud apps?
    Thanks,
    Stephen
