Looking for way to sync macbook pro calendar to calendar on PC

I have a macbook pro 2010 model and an ihpone 6 and a PC. Is there a way to sync my apple macbook pro 2010 and my iphone 6 to my PC so that all my calendars and contacts and such can be accessed on my pc as well as my macbook?

You can probably find ways to sync Google with Outlook if you need, but I suspect that's not your point!

Click on the Apple and then on about this Mac. In the new window, click on the "version 10.9.2" until you see the serial number displayed.

Looking for advice: Purchasing a MacBook Pro

Hi everybody,
I am a graduate student, and I do computational chemistry. The software we use in our lab is Windows-based, and the simulations we run require a lot of processor power.
I am thinking about buying a MacBook Pro, on which I can run Windows XP via Bootcamp to do my work.
For personal use, I am also looking ahead to the release of Spore, and want to have a setup that will be optimal for gaming (at home... not at work, of course!).
As a dedicated Mac user, I can't bring myself to purchase a PC when I know I can get both OS X and Windows on a Mac. Right now I have a 17" iMac G5 and a 12" iBook G4. So, this would be my first Intel Mac.
So... is a 17" MacBook Pro the answer? What about a 23" Cinema Display for a second monitor at home?
Any other advice/comments welcome.

Well… on the Windows front the MBP will run as well as any other PC laptop with a similar spec so on that you should have no problems. However, there are a couple of little quirks to running Windows on a Mac (mainly keyboard and mouse) but these are very minor.
As for the game, compare to other PC hardware with a similar spec. That should give you an idea of the system requires for any game you're interested in.
is it the answer, I think it's as good as, if not better, than any other option tyou have given there are few other that will run Max OS X.

Thank you for replying. I've been looking at your posts about setting up iTunes using an external drive. A bit of background info. My old computer broke down, so I got a new one from work. I've always kept my music files on my external drive (I have around 170GB of music). I didn't follow the suggestions in the "migrate iTunes library" post because my old computer died on me. However, I've looked at your posts about lay out of the iTunes folders. Before connecting to iTunes on the new computer, I had reorganized my iTunes folder on my E: external drive, and created an iTunes folder which contains an iTunes Media subfolder. The music files are in a Music folder, which is in the iTunes Media folder. I've also put the following files in my iTunes folder: iTunes Library.itl, iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes Library Genius.itdb, iTunes Music Library.xml, as well as sentinel. I then followed the advice you gave bmw99 on 2 Nov 2013 at 9.58 (sorry, can't copy the exact answer).
Just to clarify: I'd like to keep all my music media on the E: external hard drive (the computer hard drive is too small), and I'm aware i might never have my playlists back, and that all the songs in my library might be ticked. However, I don't want my library to be duplicated.
I'm at work at the moment, but will be back home in about 10 hours, so I can be more specific about folders / files names.

The cheap & easy way is to just drag the app to the Trash.
If you want to get all of the associated files use an app deleting app like the free AppCleaner;

Just drag an app and drop it on the AppCleaner icon in the Dock and it will find and present to you all the files it thinks are associated with the app. You can uncheck any that you want to keep and then let AppCleaner Trash the rest.

I want to buy a sleeve for my 15" retina macbook pro, but i realize that there are a lot of sellers that advertise their prodcuts as "made for retina" but in reality they were made for the classic macbook pro, so they fit loose , baggy... can you recommend a good sleeve specifically designed for the 15" retina macbook pro? I am also looking for such a case. I find that since the Retina is smaller/thinner -- every case I try the laptop is swimming around inside. I also feel like the laptop itself is less bulky so I'd like a case that takes advantage of our ability to be more sleek and small while traveling.

I need a recommendation for a 24" professional photography monitor for my late 2013 MacBook Pro. I am looking for a monitor that plays well with my 13" late 2013 Macbook pro. I tryed the Dell U2413 and found after the fact that it did not work well with my Macbook pro. Read up on the Asus PA 249Q, It also seems to have problems with my Macbook Pro. Apple display is larger than i want. Looking for recommendations for compatable IPS monitor for use with Aperture. buget is $300 to $800.

You three would do better to sync to google directly. Google has a blackberry app that will allow you to sync your contacts and calendars. The app isn't perfect, but it works reasonably well, especially if you're just using one calendar to sync.
Then there's plenty of ways to sync those to your iPad using Google, including Exchange, or simply adding it as a google account.
As for iCloud, there really isn't any supported or unsupported method to do what you're trying to do, at least at this time. If there is, it would definitely be a hack and I would be wary of risking your contact or calendar data on it..

I'm looking to buy a new Macbook Pro, and have questions about the Applecare extended warranty? I want to know if the 3 year extended warranty covers what damage. Like water damage, accidental damage, lost or stolen macbook, manufactory defects, or any other kind of damage, maybe be even cosmetic damage. Can anyone help me?

If you are talking about features of the MBP itself, as long as you are not looking at the Retina models, then the memory you can upgrade yourself for a lot less than Apple charges, and that does not affect the warranty as Apple considers memory a user permitted upgrade. Great sources are Crucial and OWC, both are Mac specialists and have on-line videos on how to do the install.
If the 15" is what you are looking at, a good upgrade is the 7200 rpm hard drive, gives a little better performance over the standard 5400 rpm drive.
The Hi Res screen is good if you do a lot of graphics work.
Comparing the 13" amd 15" you will notice the 15" has a second, discrete graphic processor...helps when you get into heavy duty videos, games, graphics...but keep in mind that kicking in the second processor uses a lot of power and will run the battery down faster.
If you are looking at the Retina models, then keep in mind there are no post-purchase upgrade options...you have to buy with everything you want at the start.
Just some thoughts.
