Looking for WiFi.

Hi. I've searched the board and haven't found an answer to my issue, so please forgive me if this has been asked before.
I have an 8330, Verizon is my carrier and I have an unlimited data plan. The wireless coverage in my home is virtually non-existent; emails come in but any web surfing is painfully slow. I have wi-fi in the home and would like to tap into it, but have not been able to figure out how to set it up on the BB. Another thread talked about going into options, advanced, and changing the browser selection to 'hotspot browser' but I don't have that choice available. On my phone it reads 'internet browser' and there's no other choices to select.
Is wi-fi available on my 8330? If yes, how do I set it up?

Sorry, the 8330 does NOT have WiFi capabilities.
This is something that a wee bit of research up front would have discovered...
The 8530 does, if you can get it... 9650 does also.

Then you are not looking very well. The first one in the list has compatible wifi adapters. Mavericks compatable wifi adapters are included in most of the results from my link.

Does iPhone transmit when looking for WiFi?

probably this is an obviou question since it is related to the basic of wifi hardware but I did not manage to find anything official on the internet.
When I put on WiFi feature on my iPhone/iPad, it starts searching for WiFi networks every 3-5 seconds.
I am wondering if, during a WiFi search, the searching device transmit any data packet or if it stays all the time in RX mode.
If you can help me, a link to an article/paper about that would be much appreciated.

There are many programs that will trash a TX - those that aren't specifically written for an NVFS type Palm. Here's a list: http://palmfacts.com/devices/tx/software.php
Did you HotSync the information from a previous Palm to your TX? That will surely scramble it! You'll need to do another Hard Reset, rename your /BACKUP folder to something else, and then do a HotSync...

Looking for wifi TV with simple browser capability

Does a HD wifi TV exist with simple browser capability? IE, I want to surf the net on the TV or connect it via IP to my security web server. I need a browser to do this.

Sorry i typed out a whole lengthy post and it was taken off as it had links to AMZ because they had a chart of features for TVs.
Basically the Sony gt1 series (google TVs) have a built in browser.
High end samsungs(PNxxD8000, UNxxD8000/7900/7000/6300) also the 8000 series has a QWERTY lcd digital remote that comes with the TV.
And Some of the higher end LGs have a built in browser (most have the "wand" remote to go with it.

5 won't stop looking for network after successful connection

You do have to unmount any Network Drives when/before moving to another location.
I'm thinking the APPs that don't work right have some pref on the non-existing network drive/cpu, for instance, if they automatically open the last doc used.

If it is constantly searching for networks every five seconds or so, then it is the bluetooth - wifi problem discussed on other threads. I find that system preferences > network and clicking at the bottom on the 'Show wi-fi status in menu bar' button to switch it off, and then back onto the menu bar, solves the problem. Sometimes on waking I lose wi-fi completely and have to reload, but that's infrequent.
Hopefully Apple will come up with a solution soon.

On the shared computer click on System Preferences -> iCloud -> Account Details verify that each individual account is configured correctly. By default, the Apple ID used to install the computer the first time is used for all accounts on the computer, unless it is changed.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. already suggested
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

You will need to install an App like Print Central on the iPad to try to print to the printer. It will allow you to print to most printers. Check with their support folks if you need more info.

My wife was looking for me last Friday morning with the app find my phone. The app showed that I was not where I said I was and she does not believe me. How is the explanation for this mistake, I know where I was at but she is very upset.

How was your wife using the Find My iPhone app from a Samsung phone? But, that question aside, your wife should educate herself on how GPS works, especially on a cell phone. GPS signals can be interfered with by trees, buildings, clouds. Off by several miles would be unusual, though.
If your wife is tracking your cell phone and not believing what you tell her, you may want to consider counseling as there are some very serious issues that go way beyond the technology.

Why is my wifi looking for a network all the time after working fine for over a year?

My wifi is connected but it's running slow, it drops completely, netflix runs so slow than it drops..etc. I've had the cable people here twice, once I updated my speed to more than doubled my speed and then I bought a very expensive router. Why does my computer wifi keep looking for networks when its already connected? Also, I've notice that my computer is acting like I've had it for 10 years and I've only had for 1.5 yrs. It's slow! It crashes! I have to sign in twice! It takes for ever to load, then it falls asleep after only a few mins even when its plugged in with full power. I'm so sick of this mac! I'm ready to run over it with my mini van and go back to HP for good!
Oh and the screen is unstable! willy nilly all over the place!
