Hello Experts
On Startpage (Home) in CRM. I defined some links for widget favorite reports.
Some users are not allowed to klick on ofe the links. so i wante to remove them (because i don't wante do define a new role for this on link)
How could i remove them? Can you give an example coding for the do_prepare_out?

You can try the following:
Enhance the web ui component UICMP_WC_FAVORI . inside the component enhance the view UICMP_WC_FAVORI/FavoriteCRMLinks and inside your z IMPL class you can redefine the method GET_WCFAVORITE_LINKS. Inside this method you can put condition based on business role of current loggedin user and remove or add report links. Ypu may need to define the DO_INIT_CONTEXT() to call your version of GET_WCFAVORITE_LINKS()
To get the business role of current loggedin user you can use the following code:
Data: lv_current_profiel TYPE crmt_ui_profile.
* Get the current user's business role
CALL METHOD cl_crm_ui_profile=>if_crm_ui_profile~get_user_defined_profile
RECEIVING
rv_result = lv_current_profiel.

If you are asking if you can create a hyperlink from a text
caption that will open a URL or something, the answer is that you
can, but not like you think. You would insert a caption and place
it, then insert a click box object and program it to point to the
URL. Then place the click box object over where you want your user
to click.
If you are asking if you can create a link that forces the
Closed Captioning to display, first off I'd wonder why a link when
clicking the CC button is so easy. But if you are asking if there
is a way to cause Closed Captioning to display without user
intervention, you need to take a look at fellow Adobe Community

Is it possible for widgets in dashboard to float over other windows?

I'm trying to assess features in Mavericks in comparison to Snow Leopard (the OS I'm most familiar with). I usually read the Missing Manual for the new OSes, but haven't gotten to all areas yet - it's a big book!
Is it possible for widgets in dashboard to float over other windows?
I want to be able to see the calculator widget for example while I'm also working in a Bills template document in Word, or over my back account page while viewing in Safari. Or look at words in Thesaurus while viewing a document I'm writing in Word, or even an email in Mail. In OS 10.6 widgets on the dashboard float above the other windows, but I can see them both at the same time. It looks like Dashboard is all by itself in Mavericks. Is this the case and the only way to view widgets now, is by themselves in their own isolated environment? Any work around?

You can assign a "hot corner" with System preferences > Mission Control > Hot corners to bring up your dashboard anytime you want quickly by moving the mouse to the corner. Works really well.

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

Problem with download link for a BLOB Column in a "Classic report"

I am having a problem where I cannot make a download link for a blob column function in a "classic" (non-interactive) report. I went through the tutorial on this topic and it was great help it working out the minor bugs, but I get a 404 error (apex_util.get_BLOB not found). For testing purposes I went ahead and created a an identical report on the same page that is an "Interactive report" and it works like a charm. Same query, same BLOB formatting Mask, pulling data from the same table. So, it really doesn't seem like an issue with the grants, since both reports should be executing as the same user.
I know it sounds like the obvious answer is to just go with the interactive report and my problem is solved, but the rest of this site uses classic reports, and I don't need the sort features of an interactive report, and the slightly different style of the the report really stands out even if I turn off all the bells and whistles. I don't want to change the css to make them look identical, I just want a regular report to work.

I eventually found another post: APEX_UTIL.GET_BLOB was not found on this server
In this post there is the suggestion of putting "dbms_lob.getlength("var")" after the date field in your select. So I changed my query to have it at the end, and now my format mask (DOWNLOAD:table_name:ATTACHED_FILE:FILE_ID::FILE_MIME_TYPE:FILE_NAME:::attachment:Download) works like a charm, in a classic report.

Monster iTV Link for Macbook- Mini-DVI ports different...

I have been watching movies etc. on my TV through my 14" G4 iBook for the last year using the Monster iTV Link with the mini-DVI end. I recently bought a Macbook and expected to do the same with it, but the mini-DVI ports are a different shape!
I have scoured the internet for some information on different mini-DVI ports but have come up short. Can someone explain why Apple would install a different mini-DVI port on the Macbook? Or not install an S-video?
Regardless of why they did this, I now need a new adapter or Monster needs to make a new iTV Link cable for Macbook. Has anyone seen an iTV link for Macbook? Is there one out there I can use?
I am assuming my other option is to buy the mini-DVI to video adapter, use the audio part of the Monster cable I currently have and get a S-Video cable. However before I acquire more cables and adapters...
Can someone confirm that the the Mini-DVI end of the Mini-DVI to Video adapter is the correct shape (version) for the MacBook.

It would appear the Monster guy is confused what cable you got. The iTV cable I bought up on Google has the standard round-din S-Video connector found on 15" and 17" Powerbook G4s of the same generation, but I don't think that is found on the 12" Powerbook. What you need is a DVI to S-Video connector to hook up the iTV cable from all indications.

Link for Serial Numbers doesn't work

Has anyone managed to get the link for item serial numbers to work? I've created a serial number selection screen and added links for the serial numbers, but when the link is clicked the following error message appears "No matching records found - 'Serial Number for Items' (ODBC - 2028)". I've checked with the standard SBO serial number selection screen and I'm showing the same serial numbers.

I've already looked at the serial number table OSRI, and it has 2 columns for its primary key. I've just did some further testing and if you put only the item no. then it brings up a serial no. screen in add mode ie you need to put in the details of a new serial number. This is not what is required - I want to bring up a screen to show an existing item serial number. I've tried putting in a cocatenated value of the item no and the serial no. for the link but this throws the error message which I listed above.
Looks like the serial number link isn't practical to use at this stage.

Download link for only some rows

Hi,
I have 2 tables. One contains records for products, and the other contains images for only some of the products. The images have been uploaded through the application and therefore are in a 'upload_data' table.
The tables are linked by product_id.
I would like to display a report that shows all the column from the products table and a download link for only those products that have an image.
So far the query only returns those rows that have an image.

I can't find the download link for 10.10

I have 10.6.8 on a 2010 iMac trying to upgrade to 10.10 but when go to the Apple site and choose "Upgrade Now" I don't get a link for the download. I have tried opening up the Mac App Store and get the same thing. The best I can find is a "get" tab under the big X in a circle but the link doesn't do anything.

I get 224 search returns. Only looked at the first three pages or so but none specific for download. There are links on how to upgrade. I can get to the page in the App Store for upgrading, there is just no clickable link to actually get the software.
