Lookout 6.02 User Manager Non-Functional

When User Manager is launched from Lookout menu (6.02 Full Development Version),  a "User Manager for Domains" window opens and an error dialog with the same title says "Could not find domain controller for this domain."

Hmm..  do you perchance have LabVIEW / DSC 8.0 installed on the same machine?  I know LabVIEW / DSC 8.0 has added "domain" funtionality to the security stuff.  It could also be the latest Logos.

    I am trying to setup the ability to set a value to null in a Popup LOV giving my users the “None” functionality. This is the SQL I use to ccreate the LOV:

    You are right I am trying to insert a NULL into a number column. When I add a row and do not put a value in this column it is ok because the column is defined to allow nulls. If I put a value in this column and later want to change the value nothing (NULL) is when I have the problem. I could create a None value for all my LOV and use it but I would rather just remove the value from the column and leave it NULL.

  • Exposing Portal's User Management functionality via Web Service issue

    Dear experts,
    I am trying to create and deploy a web service that will tap into User Management functionality (UMFactory) of the Portal. I created a Java project with a Java class with one of the methods exposed via Web Service. Since this is a Java project and not a Web Dynpro project, a number of external jars and libraries, but I don't know how to add WD_RUNTIME and I am guessing that my problem is related to that.
    When trying to run the application, I receive the following error message when trying to envoke UMFactory:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/tc/logging/Location
         at com.sap.security.api.UMFactory.<clinit>(UMFactory.java:166)
         at com.hollister.getusers.GetPortalUsers.getPortalUsers(GetPortalUsers.java:75)

  • Coherence Warning Causing our production managed servers down/non-functional

    Dear Legends,
    We are facing a number of "Coherence Warning" and we came to know that one issue was in Cluster the servers are starting in Multicast even it has been set to Unicast and after an SR with ORACLE they suggested to add WKA host to be added with the startup scripts. We added and closely monitoring the servers continuously through the weekend, as usual the servers went non-functional in every 5 - 6 days.
    This is in our HOST1 where Admin and Managed Server1(soa-server1)

    What would be the reason even after adding the wka?
    1. But still in logs while starting up am able to see the "-Dtangosol.coherence.clusteraddress=227.7.7.9 -Dtangosol.coherence.clusterport=9778". Is this the issue?
    2. Or Else I need to add the "-Dtangosol.coherence.localport.adjust=true -Dtangosol.coherence.localport=8089 -Dtangosol.coherence.wka1.port=8089 -Dtangosol.coherence.wka2.port=8089" ?

  • K8N Neo4 (MS-7125) USB, Mic, S/P Out, and LAN ports all non-functional

    I'm hoping someone can give me a hand with this.  I'm not a novice when it comes to motherboards but this particular board is making me feel like it.
    Ok, I've got a K8N-Neo4 MS-7125 model.  Athlon64 3700.  I have all the current drivers and ran the liveupdate to make sure. 
    The LAN port will light up, but the Device manager will not recognize it, nor will the LAN utility.
    The board has 4 USB ports.  The top two are non-functional, the bottom two work.
    The S\P OUT port has never worked, nor do I know how to engage it or find it on the device manager
    The microphone....this one is fun.  Its like the microphone is stuck in a feedback loop.  Whatever comes through my speakers, is heard on the other end by other users.  I am not heard at all, although I can hear myself through my OWN speakers.  Even with the mic unplugged, people still can hear my speakers.  Imagine having your speakers plugged into the mic jack.  The only way to kill the feedback is to actually go into the sound manager and mute the whole mic system. 
    I can live without the LAN and USB ports, but it would be a HUGE help if someone can help me with the mic and S\P ports!!

    As for the flavor of the NEO4 the only other numbers I know of, is on the board it says N1996 right below the processor.  Is that what you need?  Its a PCB V.3 board nvidia Nforce4.

    Logitech Mic/Headset combo
    This particular case allows for hookups for headphones and mic in the front.  The case has jumpers in the back that allow you to gain access from the front (but you probably already know that).  I've always used the front MIC/Headset jack, and I have a splitter in the back for the headphones and that jumper.  In trying to resolve the issue, I tried every jack with the microphone (even the ones that I know are labeled as speakers).  I do get my own voice through MY speakers on the front jack AND the mobo jack.

    It is strange because it was working all right since 3 months ago and in these 2 last weeks, it is frequently this problem. Sometimes it works sometimes it does not.
    Of course, I tried the connection between OIM and SAP, with the SAP login, and the connection is all OK.
    My oim vertion is 9.1 and the SAP User Management connector is 9.0.4.1.
    Did anybody have this problem before?

  • Adding a domain user to the admin role within the local user management breaks all metro apps for all users!!

    Hi,
    I have posted this in another large thread under the "Windows 8 General" group but have not had any appropriate feedback from MS.
    After hours of testing and working with other users I have managed to isolate a simple situation that breaks all metro ui applications within Windows 8 for all users on the machine. Here are my exact steps and notes.
    Before continuing if you are running Avast then your solution may be to turn of the behaviour shield functionality as this also breaks metro apps. This is NOT the problem we are having!
    I have performed 3 cleans installs after isolating the problem and am able to reproduce the issue every time using the same steps on two different machines. 
    First thing to say is that for us it has nothing to do with simply joining the domain, domain/group policies nor does it appear to have anything to do with the software we installed, the problem here is much more simple but the result is pretty terrible.
    Here are my exact steps of what I did to reproduce our problem:
    Complete format of HDD in preperation for a clean install
    Clean install performed
    Set up the machine initially with a local account
    Test metro apps - all working fine
    Open control panel from the desktop, click on System, change the system to join the domain, click reboot
    Log into the system using my domain account
    Test metro apps - all working fine
    Here's were the problem starts. I need my domain account to have admin rights on the local machine so I can install programs without the IT men having to come over and enter their password every 5 mins.
    I go to control panel via the desktop and click on User Accounts. From with here I then click on "Manage User Accounts". This requires the IT guys to enter their details to give me access to such functionality. This is fine
    In the dialog box that opens I can only see the local user that was initially created during setup. The "Group" for this local account shows as "Administrators" - Image included below (important to note that metro apps are working at this point)
    I click add and then add my domain account - also giving it administrator access
    Sign off or reboot to ensure the new security is applied
    Sign back in to the domain account
    Test metro - ALL BROKEN
    Sign out
    Sign in as local account
    Test Metro - NOW ALL BROKEN FOR THIS USER ALSO
    So as soon as I add my domain account to the local user accounts and set it as admin it breaks all metro apps for all users. This is on a totally clean install with nothing at all installed other than the OS.
    Annoyingly if I go back and change the domain account to a standard user or if I totally remove the domain account from the local account management system the problem does not go away for either user. basically it is now permanently broken. The only fix I
    could fathom was a full re install and not giving the domain user admin access to the local  machine.
    Screen one - this is the local user accounts window AFTER joining the domain and logging in with my domain account (All metro apps working at this point)
    Screen 2: User accounts AFTER joining the domain and AFTER adding domain account to local user management (METRO BROKEN)
    I have isolated my machine from all group policies so nothing like that is affecting me. Users I have spoken to in different companies have policies that automatically add users to the local user management. This means that metro apps break as
    soon as they join the domain which leads them to wrongly think it is group policies causing the error. Once they isolate themselves from this they can reproduce following my steps.

    Thank you for the response and apologies for the delay in getting back to you. My machine was running a long task so I couldn't try your suggested solution.
    I had already tried running the registry merge suggested at the top of the thread to no avail. I had not tried deleting the OLE key totally so I did that and the problem still exists. I will post all the errors I see in event viewer below. For
    your info, since posting my initial comment I have sent out my steps to 7 different people and we can all reproduce the problem. This comes to 10 different machines (3 of them mine then the other guys) in 3 different businesses / domains. We see the same errors
    in event viewer.
    Under "Windows Logs" --> "Application" : I get two separate error events the first reads "Activation of app winstore_cw5n1h2txyewy!Windows.Store failed with error: The app didn't start. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional
    information." The second arrives in the log about 15 seconds after the first and reads "App winstore_cw5n1h2txyewy!Windows.Store did not launch within its allotted time."
    Under "Windows Logs" --> "System" : I get one error that reads "The server Windows.Store did not register with DCOM within the required timeout."
    Under "Applications And Services Logs" --> "Microsoft" -->  "Windows" --> "Apps" --> "Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational" : I get one error that reads "Activation of the app winstore_cw5n1h2txyewy!Windows.Store for the
    Windows.Launch contract failed with error: The app didn't start."

    Well the list above shows that you have configured a pre-authorized access for the oracle user, and this is where the password check is failing. If you don't have any Windows in your OSB domain then you should remove this entry so it just shows as [none]

    I'm writing a web part that manipulates a list's managed metadata field . I want to give to the users all the functionality that SharePoint gives, like realtime searching, the popup window to add a new term and so on.
    I was thinking of (somehow) hooking  the javascript code to my  field, but I don't know how.

  • User Management Setup: Registration Process not visible in Access request f

    We are trying to setup a autorisation flow for our responsibilities by using User Management.
    For this I added some roles to the MISC Role category.
    Then I created a registration process for these roles.
    After that I would expect to see the acces request in the Additional acces request page. Unfortunately I don't.
    When I run the view object behind the page, I notice that column umx_reg_services_vl.reg_funtion_id is empty for the roles I added. The seeded authorization that was allready present has a value for this column, and is presented in the screen.
    I am wondering how to add a value into this reg_function_id column. I cannot seem to find the functionality in the User management pages.
    We are on 12.1.2
    Can someone help me out?

    You will need to have required permission (atleast read permission) for displaying this content. Access denied is showing at com.sap.portal.system/security/sap.com/NetWeaver.Portal/high_safety/com.sap.portal.heartbeats/components/PortalHeartbeat
    Go to System Admin -> Permissions -> Portal permissions. Expand security zone folder -> sap.com and the subsequent folders in the above path (sap.com/NetWeaver.Portal/..) . Right click the last folder in that path as mentioned above and provide read permissions to the delegated content admin role.

    got an application with the Shema LBACSYS ...with this shema i got access with the user htmldb_public_user.
    now i want to create a user (with the user management page from the sample application)
    Creating the user works....i see the user in my database in my users table but i cant login with created username and password.
    further i cant change the password of htmldb_public_user at the user management page ...dunno why ...
    the standard login page ...where does it the data get from ? (username and password or user id) ..i cant find any table or any validation or process like this....

    All users of your application will use a database session created by the APEX_PUBLIC_USER (or maybe HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER) database user. Then all code (SQL+PL/SQL) in your application gets parsed as the application's parsing schema, whatever you set that to be. If you have your users authenticate (login) you can create authorization schemes to control which users can do what in the application. Please read the doc and search this forum for "authorization".     As per CRM 7.0 standard functionality (with ECC as a back end), USER MANAGEMENT Link is available to maintain WEBSHOP Logon users.
    We are getting the below error when we try to maintain the USERS through that link
    "SERIAL NUMBER MISSING u2013 ENTRIES IGNORED INT"
    Due to this we are not able to create users through USER ADMIN Link.

  • PeopleSoft User Management not reconciling properly

    This is a follow up to a problem that is solved here : Re: Reconciliation Rule based on arbitrary field
    We are reconciling employees form PeopleSoft with the Employee Reconciliation connector. By default, the connector maps EMPLID to the OIM User ID. That is not what we want, so we have mapped the EMPLID to the OIM Employee Number field. As a result, the User ID is automatically generated by OIM. That is fine since we want to retrieve the User ID from PeopleSoft with the User Management connector.
    Now, we have modified the User Management reconciliation rule so that "Employee Number Equals Employee ID" and we have created a new reconciliation profile. When we receive a USER_PROFILE message from PeopleSoft, the connector still seems to be trying to match the User ID from the message to the User ID in OIM. If we manually set the User ID of the subject in OIM to the one we expect to receive in the USER_PROFILE, a new user is created and associated with the existing OIM subject. If we do not manually change the User ID in OIM, we get an error saying that no user match was found.
    Has anyone experimented with the reconciliation rule of the PeopleSoft User Management connector?

    Yes, I'm using both Employee Reconciliation and User Management. When creating the reconciliation profile, I see no errors in the logs. I've also tried clicking the Create button multiple times. I've tried adding the Employee Number as one of the key fields but it did not help.
    I've just tried modifying the Reconciliation Action Rule, but I've got a problem. For the "No Matches Found" Role Condition, I can only set the "None" Rule Action. I've deleted the condition and tried adding it again, but I can't even set the action that used to be there. It used to be "Assign to administrator with least load" but now, the only action in the drop-down is "None".

  • System Preference Panes non-functional (some)

    I am "fixing" a friends MacBook Pro as a favour, and she's getting exactly what she paid for. It may be a few years old - not sure. It's running Snow Leopard, 10.6.8, but I'm putting it in this more general section because it may not be SL-specific.
    A few of the System Preferences panes don't work. A message comes up which simply says "non-functional" or something like that. Specifically, the ones whcih don't work are:
    Desktop and ScreenSaver
    Spotlight
    Energy Saver
    Background: she forgot her password, and this is on a computer which was formerly someone else's. I couldn't even get the thing to the login screen, so something else was wrong besides her password, but I had her gray Snow Leopard installation disks, so got through the re-install process, made a new User for myself, as Administrator, and was then delighted to find that all of her data was still intact. I had to add myself in to the permissions on her UserID. I made a new user for her as well, because we still didn't have her own original password, and I looked around but couldn't find it. I copied all of her data over to her new UserID.
    I also did all Updates, plus tried a 10.6.8. combo update.
    Then I made an error. The former owners UserID was also still there. We couldn't log on as her either, without her password, but I figured that we didn't need that anymore, checked with the current owner first, and deleted the original User (and renamed the computer). I cannot reconstruct in my mind whether the System Preferences panes malfunction occurred before or after deleting the original User.
    There is other minor wonkiness, but basically the machine is running and the data has been preserved (and now backed up). But one thing at a time: I've reinstalled the OS a couple of times, without improvement. I tried to upgrade to Mavericks, but after downloading, it told me that this computer could not be upgraded (without saying why not).
    I haven't found any plist files which look relevant. I did more 2 of them out of HD-Library-Preferences, without any effect, so put them back. I find the Preference Panes in System-Library-PreferencePanes, but didn't see anything to do about that. The offending panes look like they're at least present.
    Is there something simple I'm missing? Can I get those panes back?

    Macbook pros need to be at least 2009 for 13" and 2007 for 15" and 17" to run Mavericks.  see system requiements.
    At this point, the easiest solution will be to make your backups current, then wipe the drive and do a clean install of the system. That means more work reinstalling the backed-up data (you only want to restore data and third-party apps, not any of the system components), but it makes sure you get a clean, working copy of the system.
