Lookout V5.0 and Vista x64 bit?

Does Lookout work with Vista 64 bit?
Thanks,
mcb

Lookout 5.0 doesn't support Vista.
You can download Lookout 6.2 from http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/lang/en/id/1141. Without activation, you can run it as evaluation version.
It does not officially support Vista64. Although we have done some tests, we cannot guarantee it fully supported.

    Hi there!
    Please see  this thread for the download links for the Fingerprint Software 5.8 ....
    This issue was already raised in the ThinkVantage subforum here at Lenovo Forums and it is resolved.
    Regarding the Turbo Memory, please keep in mind that the hardware only works with Vista. Windows XP does not support turbo memory thus the piece of hardware is rendered useless. With regards to Turbo Memory usage in Vista, the latest drivers do fully support the card in Vista and since there are no technological changes, there is no need for additional or new drivers.
    Hope this helps!

  • Unibody MacBook Pro 17, SSD and Vista x64 - Does it work?

    I see many discussions about problems with various brands of SSD drives and Vista x64 under Boot Camp.
    Can any of you confirm that Vista x64 will install on a unibody MacBook Pro 17" with the Apple-provided 250g SSD option?

    It works well. Don't forget to turn the disk defrag off after installing and booting into Vista.

  • Getting static audio with Titanium and Vista x64 at random times

    @Getting static audio with Titanium and Vista x64 at random times$ I have had this card for about 6-8 months and relati'vely no issues.
    I just upgraded to the latest drivers 270006 and now, sometimes after exiting Turbine's Lotro, my audio plays but is very static-y, but it doesn't happen all the time. I had iTunes minimized when playing Lotro and then went to play a song after exiting. I quit iTunes and tried it again and it was ok.
    This also happened in Firefox, a YouTube video had the same static audio.
    It doesn't happen all the time and I do play other games, but I haven't been playing much else right now.
    So right now I don't know if it's a Lotro thing or just the drivers.
    I have a Q9650, single GTX260, Asus P35 board (not SLI), Vista x64, 4GB.

    Carl, do let us know on the Safe Mode test... would be the first thing I'd try with what you've mentioned, but yeah, daisy chained Hubs could possibly play into it.

  • ITunes 8 and Vista 64 bit - Is it WORKING?

    I'm reading all over the place that iTunes 8 is causing the "Blue Screen of Death" crash on Vista 32 bit PC's. Has anyone yet tried it on Vista 64 bit and been successful? I have a iPhone 3G and an iPod Classic 160GB - I only mention that because the crash issue might be specific to drivers for certain devices only, so let me know what you tried it with if you have it working (or not).
    Tony

    working fine for me in vista x64
    Installer crashed a few times installing it, but it almost finished installing before crashing once, and it seems to work fine now. Help->about says it's version 8, and it has that "genius" thing on the side, so it is correcet.
    also, iphone is syncing fine

  • Distorted / choppy recorded sound with Audigy 2 ZS and Vista 64-bit

    Hi, I wonder if anybody has any idea of why this issue is happening. First let me give you my PC specs:
    CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940 @ 3.0 GHz
    Mobo: Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 rev. 2.0
    Graphics: 2 x BFG GeForce 8800 GT 52MB
    RAM: 4 x GB G.Skill PC6400 @ 800 MHz
    Sound: Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS
    TV Tuner:? Hauppauge WinTV PVC PCI II (26xxx)
    OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP
    ?So here's the deal. I have no problems whatsoever with audio playback with this sound card. The issue I am having is while recording sound with it. When I record my voice via a Microphone with the Windows Sound Recorder and then play it back, my voice sounds very choppy. It sounds as if I was talking in front of a fan. The same happens with any program I try to use. If I use Audacity to record sound, the playback is also distorted / choppy. The main problem is with Skype, as I cannot use it to talk to people because they cannot understand what I'm saying because of the issue. Does anybody has any ideas why this happens? My PC is a dual boot PC with Vista 64-bit and XP 32-bit, and this issue only happens with Vista. Sound recorded plays back fine under Windows XP.
    I am using the latest drivers available for this card from the Creative site.
    I'd appreciate your help,
    Daniel

    A little bit off topic here, but 64bit does not mean more performance at all lol.
    Sure, but there are in some cases drastic performence diferences. Under a fresh installed Vista X64 i have less CPU usage, as under 32 bit. But of course X64 uses more RAM (some tasks are double 32 and 64 bit).But the main reason I have more performence is, that the games I often play, get almost a boost. Dont ask me why, but under 64 bit EAW and FOC have the same FPS as under 32 bit. But under X64 I use a bit more Details and a higher resolution. (both are 32 bit games, so its a bit funy )?______________________?Sure there are other ways to install the drivers. But if some Setup dosent work, the first thing I try is to get it via Divice Management. And as this worked for me, I dont waste time to try other methods (Had bad experience, you can break the driver faster than install it *G*)?______________________?Some Questions I have left (after a few hours undr X64 with Creative Drivers):?Could it be, that the driver causes sometimes havy CPU usage?Could it also be, that the driver causes some lags, after you copy a file (the end sound, copy is finihed, but takes more time for "final finish", than without the drivers) - I know that Vista has some problems, on some PCs with copy, and that MS has an inoficial Patch (but dosent help for my PC so far)

  • New macbook and vista x64

    ... so i guess i'm trying to do something which is not supported, but it certainly seems like it SHOULD be!
    i used boot camp to install vista ultimate x64 on my new 2.4 macbook. honestly i'd rather have xp 64, but it looked to me like the only drivers available were for vista 64, not xp 64.
    after install, i put the os x / boot camp cd in and got the macbook air utility installer. i browsed the disk and tried the boot camp driver install file, which did nothing - asked for permission to run and then disappeared.
    i then installed the drivers individually. currently the status is -
    network : works great
    video : works great
    sounds : seems to be working, haven't checked it out thoroughly
    isight : works great
    keyboard : no backlight, can't ctrl-alt-del (ctrl-fn-alt-del)
    trackpad : works but no right click (even with three fingers) and no scrolling, etc
    i am stumped by the keyboard and trackpad. when i look at device manager the keyboard says it's using the apple driver and rerunning the 64 bit keyboard installer just tells me i'm already current. ditto the trackpad. any suggestions? thanks in advance!
    i also don't have the boot camp control panel. i know what apple might say about vista x64, but these are 4gb machines. they need a 64 bit OS in windows to be useful.

    ok, i got the BootCamp64 to run, and it seems to install the right stuff. To install, do this:
    You will need an USB mouse for some of this
    1) Run Command Prompt in Administrator Mode (find Command Prompt in the Start Menu under Accessories, and right click it and select "Run as administrator"
    2) change to your DVD driver (most likely d:) d:
    3) cd to the Apple Directory cd "Boot CampDriversApple"
    4) run this msiexec /i BootCamp64.msi
    wait, and eventually you'll get all the drivers installed. I now have Boot Camp icon in Control Panel, sound working, backlight keyboard and function keys. The only thing not working is the right click for the touch pad, even though its set in the Boot Camp icon. Anyone solved this?

  • GX630 and Vista x64 Ultimate Sleep Mode

    I have MSI GX630 and having trouble to wake my notebook after sleep mode at Vista x64 Ultimate Sp1 edition
    When my notebook goes to sleep mode everything ok.power led is blinking.When I press Power Button fan starts wireless led is ok but screen is  black.And I m not able to start system till I unplug/plug AC and Battery
    Msi Service in Turkey checked my notebook.they unpluged/pluged motherboards battery to reset bios ( I think :D )and flashed bios back to 1.02 ( i was using 1.05 ).But same result.They said they don't have any idea:)
    There is no problem in 32 bit vista home edition
    I tried many Vga drivers.Now using moded 181.20
    I tried all bios versions released on msi website.
    All other drivers are up to date.
    There are lots of users having same problem
    I will be glad if anyone can help me.
    Thanks

    They wouldn't, not officially. NVIDIA started to support gamers with laptops and will do it in future, regularly. But the real problem is, that most of other vendors have their GPUs supported in those drivers and MSI doesn't, it's completely missing NVMI.INF file. Note, that there is no universal INF file, but many of them named after vendors according to the NVIDIA's filename scheme.
    But beta status has not to do with the fact those drivers are working and MSI products simply aren't there.
    Other side of the issue is, that MSI is selling so called gaming laptops and didn't updated the drivers since, well, July 2008 (GX630, ForceWare 176.10) or September 2008 (GX620, Forceware 176.60). It just cannot keep up with game releases and bug fixes for new games included in every ForceWare release. This kind of support is simply not enough for the respective audience.
    Don't understand me wrong - the products are excellent and even my brother just ordered GX630.
    Back to the issue - guys, try to use newer drivers for GX620 if you have MSI laptop with NVIDIA - and yes, even when it's not GX620. All NVIDI GPU's should be supported, check the list:

    Those are probably the newest official NVIDIA drivers from MSI.
    Other thing you can try to deal with the sleep mode issue is to disable PowerMizer in driver's control panel. I cannot try it by myself (have only ATI and Intel VGA here), but found it on LaptopVideo2Go site.

  • XMLDecoder and Vista x64

    Hi,
    My program has a set of XML files which it decodes when it needs some data.
                    FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(fileName);
                    BufferedInputStream bis = new BufferedInputStream(fis);
                    XMLDecoder in = new XMLDecoder(bis);
                    s = (Service)in.readObject();
                    in.close();
                    bis.close();
                    fis.close();The problem is that on XP and Vista x32 this seems to work fine, but on Vista x64 it kills my JVM and I quite often get a java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space error even tho this computer with Vista x64 has twice the specs of the other computer that this program runs fine on.
    Does anyone have any ideas why or any thing I could used instead?

    The 64-bit version needs more memory than the 32-bit version as all the references are twice the size.
    Java will only use as much memory as you allow it, the default is 64 MB, if you would like it to be able to use more then you can add the -mx argument to the command line. e.g. -mx512m

  • VPN Client and Vista 64-bit

    We have several laptops that we need to install Vista on. We would prefer 64-bit so that we can really make use of the extra RAM these laptops have, however there is one program we require holding us back to 32-bit at the moment. Its the Cisco VPN Client. We have PIX 500 series hardware so we don't have any other VPN option right now.
    All I would need to know is that Cisco does indeed plan to release a Vista 64-bit compatible of the software sometime soon (say in the next quarter).
    Does anyone know if this is planned or not? Or is there some technological barrier keeping them from doing it?

    February 18, 2010

Can anyone please tell me what software or driver did I forget and where can I find it?

  • Another CS4 and Vista x64 GPU SLi Support Question

    After reading some of the forums I could not really find a clear answer on the following:
    I am running Vista x64 Ultimate on a QX6850 system with 8GB of RAM. I also have 2x XFX8800GT graphics cards running in SLi with the latest Nvidia drivers (181.20). Dxdiag testing provides no errors.
    The GPU support features in CS4 x64 (and x32) is greyed out with the text wording of no support in Photoshop standard. Based on some of the threads posted here, I tried enabling or disabling some settings in the Nvidia control panel, but the only one that seem to enable the GPU support is to deactivate SLi completely (which sort of defeats the purpose in 3D graphics).
    Does CS4 support an SLi setup? If not, will there be any difference in performance with SLi disabled and using the CS4 GPU support vs the other way around?
    Thank you for your assistance.

    Negitive. It is written on the CS4 requirements section. Only 1 GPU.

  • How do connect to internet with Leopard and Vista x64

    After installing Leopard, then running Boot Camp and installing Windows Vista x64 I cannot connect to my router, either by Ethernet or Airport. Windows could not detect any wireless network when trying to set up a wireless router. When I try to connect to the router with an Ethernet cable I get an error message telling me to "The underlying Ethernet connectivity required for the broadband connection was not found. Please install and enable the Ethernet adapter on your computer via the Network Connections folder before attempting this connection. I know the router and the MacBook Pro are working because I can connect either with Ethernet or Airport when I am running Leopard. The router is a D Link WBR-2310.

    It happened to me as well on Windows XP. I managed to get it to work by changing WEP password on the Airport to WPA/WPA Personal. It seems Windows is finicky about WEP set ups...
