Looks Like the Premiere Fora Just Got a Shakeup!
Man, teach me to go to sleep. Went to the old Pr forum, and saw a bunch of CS4 posts there. Dutifully went about pointing them to the PrPro forum, ONLY to find out that the Pr Forum (Older versions prior to PrPro.... ) is not the "Pr/Pro prior to CS5 forum." Wow, did not know that was coming, but guess I can see some of the reasons for it.
Had to go back and eat a bunch of directions, but that's life. I know that some of those posters wonder what I have been drinking.

Looks great, as far as I can tell.
I do hope that newer posters will take that block to heart. Many of us have done all that we can to extract necessary info, in the post, especially the initial post, but it's often not until 25 replies that we even get the version of PrPro.
Now if we can add a new sub-forum, "So, you have the trial version... ?" No - just kidding. Hey, if everyone knew of the limitation of the trial, I'd only have 50 posts and 15 points!
So far, your Fiat seems to be running nicely. Much better in fact that my old Alpha, or my XKE. Must be doing something correctly.
As for the FAQ's, Steve Grisetti MOD, and contributor to the PrE forum, has a very nice sub-forum. Unfortunately, no one ever looks there first. When working on the PrE forum, I usually have the FAQ and the Tips & Tricks sub-fora open in tabs, and just copy the links - over and over. It's rather like the old Read_Me files on installation discs. You know the ones that told the user how to actually install the programs - the one that no one ever read?
Going back to the intro of CS4, one great contributor here, Eddie Lotter, did a great job with the PrPro-Wiki, and many of us worked to keep the info flowing. I still link to it very often, but without Eddies hard work and direction, I'm not sure of its future. The biggest complaint that I had was with the Wiki was the Search function. In many cases, I find it easier to just read down the list of FAQ entries, until I find what I want.
Please keep up the good work.
BTW - can you sweep up the Lounge, and turn off the light, before you leave?

I sure hope that the new imessenger doesn't look like the current text messaging app, that would be a huge flop. I think I should look and feel like the bbm to make any kind of significant impact. Am I wrong?

My firefox was working perfectly before when I had the 3.6 but now it just won't load up at ALL! I've dealt with it crashing on me while I was on the internet but I've never clicked on the tab OVER an OVER again an still not even having the home page show up on my screen. I upgraded to Mavericks. I just spent an hour in Pages. Now I can't open my documents, it says I need to upgrade to a newer version. It looks like the new 5.0 when I typed but it's saying I'm running 4.3. the App store says I've already upgraded. HelP
Actually, there seems to be a bit of a bug. Encountered this with a couple of files my wife made. The files were set to "open with" the new Keynote, but clicking the file brought up this error. Right-clicking and selecting "open with..." worked correctly. I can only assume the OS was attempting to open the file with Keynote '09 despite the file property setting.
Probably requires a Launch Services DB reset (although I haven't actually tried it on my wife's MBA yet...since she's still "working on stuff". So I can't confirm if it will solve the problem).

Is anyone else having the finish rub off of the keys on their macbook? I've had mine for about 6 months and several keys look like the finish is wearing through. I went to the local genius bar today and the techs said they'd never seen this before.
Some people have seen their aluminum uni-body discoloring due to body oils. Go figure.
Normally putting anything over the keys/aluminum will hurt heat disspation, but you may need to use keyboard covers.
Or save up $500/year for new keyboards.
Neither is supposed to be a sarcastic answer. Either one could end up being the solution.

My iPhone 4S can't support camera 360 apps.Once I open the apps 3 sec it will auto jump out to the home page.Look likes the apps crashed.Isn't my iPhone problem or the apps got bug?Please help me.TQ
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss) -
I have brought Lightroom 5 for a new MACBOOK PRO, but wondering, am I still alllowed to load on my desktop as well running Win 7? It looks like the office enviroment that says you can!

I should probably use my current setup till it is totally outdated or simply is beyond repair.

How to make it look like the actors are watching TV

I am looking to add an effect in Adobe Premiere Pro CC to make it look like the actors are watching TV in the dark. Just a soft pulsating, bluish-white light that may vary throughout. Does anyone know how to do this? I've tried scouring the internet but haven't found much. I'm a beginner for sure, but trying to learn!

-AndyIn the effects panel type "light" in the search box. This will bring up all the lighting effects in Pr. Adjusr/Lighting or Stylize/Strobe might work for you. There are a lot of adjustments you can key in until you find what suits your needs.

The mic on my iPhone4 has just quit also. Similar symptoms to yours in that people I'm talking to hear only static or my voice very faintly. The voice/memo recorder also only really records static.
It happened suddenly and seemed to get better after a day or two but then went completely after another day.
I'm returning it to Vodafone New Zealand shortly but will have to wait 5-10 days for a replacement. There are NO Apple accredited means to speed this procedure up in NZ.
We don't even have a single physical Apple Store where you could walk in and talk to a Genius. -
Printing looks like the ink is running out at the bottom of the page
My HP Deskjet D4260 just developed a new problem. The printing on the bottom half of the page looks like the ink is running out, but cartridge is nearly full and the "low toner" light is not on. It looks like the printer gets lazy half way through the document, but machines don't have personalities, right? I have tried shaking the cartridge. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have a difficult time believing that claim. Make an appointment at an Apple Store with a Genius, Apple does not charge for the Genius service. If you are being charged by an AASP make an appointment with another AASP or contact Apple Customer Service. You can reach Customer Service by first calling AppleCare, explaining your problem and then request to speak to Customer Service. -
My Firefox does not look like the Firefox shown in your tutorials
Going through the tutorials and help sections, the Firefox page shown does not match the one that I have. There is no Firefox button, the menu below the Mozilla logo is the "File Edit View...." menu. So the directions I am getting from the tutorials and Help sections can't be followed.
I just downloaded Firefox, installed it, and checked for updates, which Firefox found and installed. I am now at 19.0.2
I am running Windows 7 on a Lenovo Thinkpad. WIndows just updated.

Looks Like the iPad 3G Wait is Over
Looks like the very last day of the month for iPad 3G orders.......why not just say Last Day of the Month instead of Late April. It's all about the hype I suppose. Well now at least we all know.
My order status still says "Ships: Late April".
