LOOP PLAYING ON IPOD NANO

I WANT TO PRODUCE A 'MUSAC'  PLAYLIST TO LAST APPROX 90 MINUTES BY LOOPING 30 MINUTES WORTH OF TRACKS. HAS ANYONE GOT A SUGGESTION FOR HOW THIS CAN BE CARRIED OUT?

I have a 4th generation Nano which does not have screen touch response, so this does not seem to work for me. Any others with any ideas please?

  • How do i move my 'number of times played' from iPod Nano 4G to iPod Classic?

I've had an iPod Nano 4th Gen for the past 4 years. I recently got an iPod Classic for Xmas.
I'm a bit fussy & would like to transfer all the data across from iPod Nano to iPod Classic ... and this includes data such as number of times each song has been played. Preferably for free too.
    How can i do this?
The closest i've come to a suggestion online is to plug them both in to iTunes & then "drag & drop". Just to point out - this does not work.

Despite the fiend's confident manner and his curt correction, I believe he is very mistaken about this.  I sensed this was baloney and kept looking, to find a thread in which the same is discussed for iPhone, but it worked on my Classic iPod as well.  (I don't mean to get overly down on a.f, but one should be careful and try to be sure before telling someon they can't do something that seems like a basic function that should by all reason be possible - Not that  all lack of reason doesn't often apply to these products...)
How to transfer playlist from iPhone to iTunes 11.1.3?
The procedure described here did work for me, but know this: if I hadn't somehow actively saved an on-the-go list long ago (and forgotten,) I never would have known, because although I have been selecting tons of tracks for "on the go," apparently it erases all lists when you power down, unless you do that deliberate save.  That's right; c beyond all sense of reason (case in point of above) the iPod does not continue to save selections in one growing on-the-go list unless you save it before shut-off.  Saving auto names that list and starts over.  So while I would like to have one big list in which to save all songs for future DJ choices, I will have to have a new list for every time I select even one single song before power off, or POOF gone.  Wish I'd known that before, I stupidly assumed 100 or more songs were saved cause I never checked.
Check it out and see if it works for you.  Cheers.  And no offense A.F.
I guess considering how tedious and dysfuntional this is (also not a first for Apple,)  I will find another way to earmark tracks on the fly, like use a star rating which I've never really used with consistency.  You might consider the same if you have similar purposes.  If you're sitting down and deliberately making a specific list all at once, save it and you should be good to "go."

  • ANY PODCAST CAN'T PLAY ON IPOD NANO AT THE FIRST TIME

Everytime i try to play a podcast on my ipod nano, the first time it hangs for a few seconds and then it returns to the main menu. So i have to enter the podcast menu again, select the file once again and then it plays.
That happens everytime i turn my ipod on...
OBS.: Both Itunes and nano are updated....

Have you got NTFS-3G installed? "sudo pacman -S ntfs-3g".
Then you can edit your /etc/fstab and do:
    /dev/sdb1 /media/whatever ntfs-3g defaults,user,locale=en_US.utf8 0 0
    thanks, vcolonel.
Yes, I have ntfs-3g installed. But although I edited fstab as you said, it couldn't mount the drive automatically.
I guess this problem is not caused by ntfs. Because it happens to ext4 and fat too.
And I found that the partition had been overwritten.
    sudo fdisk -l /dev/sdb

    /dev/sdb5 16128 234436544 117210208+ 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT
I don't know why and how it happenned. It should have only one ntfs partition.

Hello I was hoping to listen to my ipod nano radio stations via Bluetooth speakers but I can't get this to work it only plays via head phones Thank s for any help

The same problem I have today afternoon.
My car audio system is compatible with iPod USB connector and worked fine for also 6 months.
When connecting my iPod nano 6rd gen via USB to car audio system, iPod displays on its screen a sucessfull connection, and music tracks is successfully displayed on the car audio system. But do not play. Switch forward or backward by playlist (by the buttons on the car audio system) works also, but still there is no start playback.
I tried plugged my iPhone 5 via USB to car audio system - it's works fine.
I plugged iPod to my mac computer - itunes says it's all Ok.
I am confused and do not understand what is happening.

  • Stuck In Loop Right As iPod Nano Loads

Got a 4th gen iPod Nano from a friend, my new ipod nano had gotten some liquid damage and he wasnt using this one.  Hasnt been charged in years.  Its been sitting on my computer plugged in now for about 45 minutes, apple logo comes up, and loads right to the front menu like it should for MAYBE a second.  And then loops the process.  I have accessed the diognostics menu which has gotten me nowhere(people say to look for DISKMODE, this isnt here), and I seem to be unable to access disk boot options by holding down menu and the middle select.  Im a little stumped by this.  Any suggestions would be appreciated

Update: By plugging directly to the wall it bypasses the weird loop its doing.  But my PC was still not recognizing it.

  • Songs not playing on iPod Nano 4G

I ripped some songs from my CD collection to my Mac and then transferred them to my nano. I can listen to most of my songs on the iPod just fine but about 22 songs out of 600, I get 0:00 and it pauses there for a few seconds and then moves on to the next song. I tried removing those songs and adding them again but it didn't work. Does anyone have a fix for this?

    1. Yes, the songs play fine in iTunes.
    2. The start and stop times were correct as well
    3. MP3
    4. They all came from the same CD's
    5. Yes, the correctly song length is showing
    6. I did remove the song from my iPod. Then I grabbed the songs from my iTunes library and moved them back onto the iPod.
Those were all pretty good suggestions I didn't think to check but I have now. Any other ideas would be useful. I guess I could restore my iPod because I know I don't have a ton on there and what I do, I have saved in a playlist so I can restore it back pretty easily. I might lose my Nike+ data but I have that online.
    Any other suggestions?

Just to expand on what Chris said.
The phono inputs of a stereo amp are designed to accept the inputs of a moving magnet (or sometimes a moving coil) phono cartridge on a turntable. These are low output devices and so the phono input is engineered to amplify the signal.
A line level output such as the iPod doesn't need such amplification and so, if you connect the iPod to the phono input of your stereo you will overload that input. The sound will be distorted and in many instances may cause damage to the speakers. The phono input is for turntables only. Connect the iPod to a line level input as previously mentioned.
The reason you will get a better sound from the iPod when connected to a stereo and using the line out port from the dock (and not the headphone jack on the iPod itself), is that the headhpone socket is powered by a low quality amp. It's meant to drive an easy load like headphones and not the input of a stereo.

  • My ipod nano (6th gen)'s screen don't turned on... when resetting it, the screen turns to white.. the most worst is, it doesn't work out...

I really don't know to fix it... What happen was, when i played my ipod nano, it turns to white... i don't know if I accidentally clicked anything on the screen or the buttons at the side of the device... What i did was, I connected it in my laptap because I was thinking that maybe my ipod was in hang mode. When I was able to connect it, the itunes recognized it but I can't played the music and the screen in my ipod screen was still white... SO, I restored it in factory setting... the same thing happen... i don't know what happen, so I need your help...

You can work through the remaining five 5 R's of troubleshooting.
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/
It might also be a good idea to let the iPod's battery fully drain. Then charge it back up and restore it once more in iTunes.
Otherwise, it's likely a hardware issue with the iPod's LCD display, meaning you'll need to take or send your iPod in for service either via Apple or a third party repair service. Here is Apple's repair pricing.
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/prices/
Note that they don't actually repair the device, but exchange it for one of the same generation, model, and capacity.  A third party service will actually replace the damage part for a little less.  Google "iPod screen repair" and you should get a number of results to work with.

I'm trying to play my ipod nano through a pioneer car stereo using the usb port and it is not working.

  • My ipod nano 7th gen is stuck on a loop of turning on and off.

My ipod nano 7th gen is stuck on a loop of turning on and off, I've already done the reset, and everything that was recommended on other similar questions.  it isn't recognized by iTunes except in recovery mode where it allows me to restore but then goes right back to turning on and off once i'm back to normal play mode.  Once on recovery mode it works fine and doesn't turn on and off.  I've also uninstalled and reinstalled itunes to avail.  I'm super frustrated and am hoping that I won't need to buy a new one.  Is there anything else I can do before i just toss it out?  i'm getting a bit frustrated just watching my ipod turn on to the apple and then turn right back off.

    Hi there tksunrise,
You may find the troubleshooting steps in the article below helpful.
iPod nano (7th generation): Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4433
Will not turn on or screen remains dark
Connect iPod to power for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has enough charge to allow iPod to turn on.
If iPod does not turn on after ten minutes, try resetting it while it is still connected to power. Reset the iPod by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least six seconds or until you see the Apple logo appear.
If the Apple logo appears on the display, connect iPod to a computer and verify that it appears in iTunes and can play music. If iPod appears in iTunes and can play music, no further troubleshooting is needed.
If the screen remains dark and will not turn on, then your iPod may need service.

  • IPod Nano 4G 16GB How to fix special restore loop?

    Hello Everyone,
I'm having serious problems with my iPod, because of what seems to be called an endless restore loop:
Hardware: Sony Vaio Laptop (Windows 7)
    Any Win XP PC
    IPod Nano 4.th Gen 16GB Firmware 1.0.4
What happens: Every time the iPod is activated it says: "Use iTunes to restore" on a white background.
Everytime I do restore it with iTunes it does everthing as expected, but as soon as it's done it says that there's an iPod in recovery mode, that needs to be restored. (Endless restore Loop).
    What was tried:
    - Normal Restore - same issue
    - Disk Mode (no idea how I got there, menu+centre and centre+play doesn't work anymore, apple logo is never shown) Restore - same issue
    - Changing the letter of the drive (iPod) on Windows - restoring fails afterwards
    - Formating (fast and not-fast) (afterwards restoring - same issue)
    - Turning off Avira - same issue
    - Manual Firmware Restore (shift-click, 1.0.4 Firmware again) - same issue
    What was achieved:
    - Once the screen on which it tells me to use iTunes to restore wasn't white but it had a gradient (dark grey to black) and the iTunes Logo with an arrow below and below that it told me to use iTunes to restore (no idea haw I got that, now it's same as before)
    - Nothing positive
What wasn't tried (but would make a difference probably):
    - Third party software
    - Mac instead of PC
    - Emptiing the battery completely
    - whatever you suggest
Thanks in advance!! Hope you can help in any way! Hope my english is understandable

  • TS1363 My ipod nano 5th generation is no longer recognized by itunes, and won't play any of it's music.  It still shows it all listed, but freezes up if you select a song to play.  Is there a way to restore it?

My ipod nano 5th generation will no longer play any of it's loaded songs.  It still plays the video that is on it, and the radio works.  It is not recognized by itunes and I have gone through all their help steps.  Is there some other way to restore it?

If the iPod is defective and not abused Apple will exchange it at no cost under your warranty.
