Loops Anyone?

Hi, does anybody know a good place to get additional GarageBand Loops?
Particularly, I NEED a violin! When creating a new track in GarageBand, one has the option to use Software Instruments. I choose this option as to record using the Musical Typing Option. The problem is, that there Is NO violin option in the Software Instruments. The closest thing is the string sections.
Any Ideas about where to get GOOD loops?
Any Ideas about how to get a violin (Software Instrument)?

  • P67A-GD65 B3 - Permanent loop - anyone else?

Just received my brand new B3 motherboard today and it won't boot, my machine is in a permanent loop trying to reboot. The power switch that is on the MB is illuminated, the CPU fan comes on for a second (as well as the CPU phase 1 blue led) then turns off for about 5 seconds then tries again.
I've reset the CMOS several times with no success, even with removing the battery.
Removed all the other cards, and peripherals, just leaving the memory and CPU in the board but no difference. I tried swapping the memory sticks, running with just one and then the other, no difference.
Did anyone receive the new B3 MB and can confirm that it works fine? Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this issue?
FYI the rest of my config:
    - CPU: i7 2600K
    - RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X + Turbulence II Series 2 x 2GB DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000)
I bough the CPU and the RAM with the board so unfortunately I cannot confirm that they work on another rig.
Help! I've been waiting for this MB for 2 months now!

You wern't the only one with that problem. I had the same problem (mine turned on for about 7 secs before shutting down). It worked perfectly before I took the motherboard out to get the serial number (as shown thats supposedly the only place to find it). I put it back in, turned it on, then noticed a serial number on the box.  . And when i booted it, it shut down again. I took everything out, made sure ALL the connections were not loose, turned it on again. I smelled something funny this time.. I turned it on once more, lo and behold there was a little bit of smoke.
If this helps, I used a magnetic screwdriver when screwing the screws in, and I think i might have touched the gold part on the screw holes    and im not sure if that has something to do with it or not, but i think it does. I had to RMA it to newegg, still have yet to pack it up.. also about 4-5 other people giving reviews to that same motherboard on newegg showed the same problem (minus the smoke).

  • IPhone Looping in iTunes - asking to restore

I tried to dock my iPhone to my Mac and found that it continually says:
An iPhone has been previously synced with this computer.
    It gives me 2 options:
    1. Set up as a new iPhone
    2. Restore from the backup
I choose option 2, the iPhone indicates it is restoring then it reboots. After it comes backup and mounts in iTunes, I get the same messages all over again.
    Apparently an infinite loop
    Anyone else have this issue?

    I know what to do:
    Take iPhone out of cradle
    Reset it (Home+Sleep/Wake)
Go to Prefs, iPhone, Erase Backup History (in iTunes)
Re-sync and choose create a new backup
That should do it. This happened to me too

  • Error -50103 occured with timed loop inside a while loop

    Hello everyone,
i wrote an application to sample analog voltage from  DAQ6024E card (see the attachments).
I have a big while loop in the VI because a I want to add some other functions later.
In the "WHILE_Cont Acq&Graph Voltage-Int Clk.vi" I use a while loop inside the big while loop to read the samples. It's working properly.
but when I use a timed loop inside the big while loop (see "TIMED_LOOP_Cont Acq&Graph Voltage-Int Clk.vi"), I get an error -50103 from the timed loop.  It seems that the first cycle is ok, but after the first cycle the error occurs.
I don't know what happens with the timed loop, anyone can help me? what does the error -50103 mean? thanks a lot!
PS: I am using LabVIEW 8.0

    hi molo511,
I tested your program but only with simulated devices. I had to delete the wire to the timing, so that the timed while loop runs with 1kHz. Did you already try this? Because this works on my PC.
I also found a link in our database that might be interesting for you.

You cannot remove the simulation loop alone because all the functions kept inside that loop will work inside that loop only. If you have to remove means then you have to find another way to inplement the PID control.
The best solution is the one you find it by yourself

  • Help! Stuck in a DFU loop

I was having trouble with the Ipod so I had to enter into DFU mode and then perform a firmware restore. I have a 1G Ipod Touch with firmware 3.0.
The restore was successful. Then I tried powering off and then powering on again. To my surprise it didn't turn on, so I checked my usb properties and it said DFU Mode, I opened Itunes again and it said the Ipod is in recovery mode (I just restored!).
So I restored AGAIN! It was working, I mean I could go inside the ipod and music and things. Then I tried powering off and then turning it on again! And AGAIN it was in DFU mode and ITunes said to restore (again?). And the usb properties also said DFU mode device.
So I'm stumped! I'm stuck in this "dfu loop" anyone know how to stop this!

    Bump.. Please can anyone help.

  • My ipod says "connect to your computer. use itunes to restore."

My ipod says "connect to your computer. use itunes to restore."
So I plug it into the computer and itunes says it needs to restore, so I click restore, everything seems to go fine, and it says the ipod needs to restart, it does, has a lil progress bar go across the ipod screen, then itunes detects the ipod again and says it needs to be restored again. This is an endless loop, anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

Have you had a chance to look at this troubleshooting page? Have a look at the bottom section that covers what to try if restoring doesn't work, it may be of some help: iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode - Use iTunes to restore

  • Excessive logging in 10.6

sandboxd and syslogd have basically taken over my computer, using 60% and 120% CPU respectively.
Something is making sandboxd repeatedly log things like:
    Feb 3 00:29:57 Brians-mini sandboxd[16]: syslogd(15) deny file-read-data /private/var/log/asl/StoreData
    Feb 3 00:29:57 Brians-mini sandboxd[16]: syslogd(15) deny mach-task-name

    Feb 3 00:29:57 Brians-mini sandboxd[16]: syslogd(15) deny mach-task-name
    Feb 3 00:29:59: --- last message repeated 1 time ---
    Feb 3 00:29:57 Brians-mini sandboxd[16]: * process 16 exceeded 500 log message per second limit - remaining messages this second discarded *
    Feb 3 00:29:57 Brians-mini sandboxd[16]: syslogd(15) deny mach-task-name
    Feb 3 00:30:00: --- last message repeated 499 times ---

    Feb 3 00:29:58 Brians-mini sandboxd[16]: syslogd(15) deny mach-task-name
It's trying to log more than 500 things in a second.
I do know that something is evidently trying to get into private/var/log/asl/StoreData what is that? and why is it protected?
It LOOKS like something is trying to log something, but isn't being allowed, and so sandboxd ends up logging that it disallowed someone else from logging. And it's trying to do this in a tight loop.
    anyone seen anything like this?
BTW: If this isn't the right forum, can someone point me at the right one?

  • My drive wont read disks after update to 10.6.3

    Hey.
After I update my MacBook Pro Uni fall 08 to Mac OS 10.6.3 my drive no longer wants to read cds nor dvds, well it sounds like the drive tries to read the disk, but it just enters a infinite loop, anyone who knows what to do?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
The first thing to try is to run a DVD Lens Cleaner disc through it to see if there's a speck of dust or dirt on the lens that's causing read/calibration problems - it's surprising how often this simple process can resolve things ...

  • Installing Final Cut Studio Now Safari doesn't show QT

I just installed Final Cut Studio on my Macbook running 10.4.7 which installs version 7.1.2 of quicktime pro. But now Safari won't play any quicktime movies though my Firefox and Flock browsers will play QTmovies. I'd download and reinstall quicktime normally but Final Cut Studio doesn't give me a serial number for QTPro so I suspect that if I reinstall quicktime I'll wind up with no more quicktime pro or at the minimum I'd have to uninstall Final Cut Studio and reinstall to get QTPro and might be back in the same loop
Anyone have any experience with this or think of a way around getting Safari to show quicktime movies?

But now Safari won't play any quicktime movies though my Firefox and Flock browsers will play QTmovies.< </div>
You might try the Quicktime forum here on apple.com. All I can tell you is that yours is the first post I can recall describing this particular issue with an installation of FCP.
I'd download and reinstall quicktime normally but Final Cut Studio doesn't give me a serial number for QTPro so I suspect that if I reinstall quicktime I'll wind up with no more quicktime pro or at the minimum I'd have to uninstall Final Cut Studio and reinstall to get QTPro and might be back in the same loop< </div>
Your Pro license is part of the FCP install now so it will be still be there, it's not associated with the QTPlayer any longer.
You can force a reload of earlier versions of QT by going to your Library and searching for receipts for QT updates. Delete them and Software Update will pull down a new update file for you.
Umm, on second thought, wait for a few more hours till some other folks respond to your inquiry.

  • Polling the status of report_object_status

Instead of using a WHILE LOOP to get the get 'FINISHED' status of the report, any number of loops is suggested if we want to have a time out for this polling method?
    Say
    FOR i in 1..500? 1000? LOOP
    END LOOP
anyone can give me a hint?
    Thanks

You probably don't need this piece of code (the loop to check report status). It is usually used to wait for a report to finish, before calling the output with web.show_document.
If you run the report in SYNCHRONOUS mode, this loop is not necessary. See the online help:
Synchronous specifies that control returns to the calling application only after the called product has finished.

  • Updating Firmware on 7500 model: (download address?)

I've seen a few threads asking for where to find a firmware update for the Verizon/Westell 7500 modem/router.
What is the official address of the 7500 model firmware update?
I already know how to do it. I just want the official answer as to where to get it. Westell says to see Verizon about updating and Verizon says to update. Recursive loop anyone?
