Loops tempo (SEPARATELY EACH ONE)
Is there any way in garageband to change the tepo of the BLUE LOOPS?
i do not want to change the tempo of a song, nor the tempo of the master track. What i would very much like to do is create a automation curve for each loop separately.(the ones already given to me by garageband) Can I do that. Please include specific directions if possible. Thanks
The only way to do this is to create a new GB project. Import the region you want to adjust. (If you've recorded this as an audio region, you can export it from your first project like you would a normal song, just solo that track when you export). You also might (haven't tried this though) be able to select the region in the first project, copy it, open the new empty project, and paste it into a new track. If you're using Apple Loops, you don't have to import it, just find it in the library in the new project.
Then adjust the tempo of the new project to what you want that region to be. Export the adjusted audio as a new file. Then import that adjusted file into your original project.
A bit of work, yes, but you can do it.

You have to order each book separately, if the books are different. Only multiple copies of the same book can be ordered in the same order, see here

I have a Mac Pro tower (OSX version 10.6.3) with two internal Hard Drives, each one 2TB.
I purchased a 3TB Time Capsule. But cannot back up because it tells me there is not enough space.

No, you cannot link to produce a single large partition.
But you can have two separate backup jobs.. and use each partition. That is hard on TM but you can easily get a different backup software for it.

In TM you do a different setup and exclude the other drive.
But it is better to use an alternative software IMHO.

You would need to use a network drive of more than 4TB .. it would also take forever. This is just wrong way to do it. Although you can buy a NAS that will work with Time Machine and load it with disks 16TB is possible.. if you can get a second mortgage.. the fragile nature of TM on 3rd party devices.. would leave me in cold sweat if anything went wrong.
TM is excellent at keeping incremental backups of files that keep changing.. as such you should use TM to backup your OS disk and main user directory.. exclude all files and directories that never change. Back them up separately.

Yes, that is a much better idea. You want to store photos safely and you want to store them in multiple places. If you have multiple TB of photos, dedicate a couple of disks to the backup. ie have at least two copies.. not in backup format.. in straight copy format if possible.. so you can keep one of the disks offsite.
I would be using your MacPro internal disk access, to place the disk onto sata bus and do the copy disk to disk direct. Or even buy esata card.. or sata to esata converter cable so you can use esata box. That will beat any other transfer speed except thunderbolt for which you would need third mortgage. (The MORT in mortgage is significant).

Problems converting PDF to MS Word document. I successfully converted 4 files and now subsequent files generate a "conversion failure" error when attempting to convert the file. I have a large manuscript and I separated each chapter to assist with the conversion; like I said, first 4 parts no problem, then conversion failure. I attempted to convert the entire document and same result. I specifically purchased the export to Word feature. Please assist. I initially had to export the Word Perfect document into PDF and attempting to go from PDF to MS Word.

I'm sorry to hear your conversion process has stalled. It sounds as though the problem isn't specific to one file, as you've been unable to convert anything since the first four chapters converted successfully.
So, let's try this:
If you're converting via the ExportPDF website, please log out, clear the browser cache, and then log back in. If you're using Reader, please choose Help > Check for Updates to make sure that you have the most current version installed.

So we have an Invoice .xlsx File from a 3rd party vendor. It contains two worksheets..."Enrolled" and "Engaged". The data and data columns in each worksheet is different. Is it possible to loop through multiple .xlsx files using SSIS
and a Foreach Loop Container for each spreadsheet, and then another Foreach Loop Container to control each worksheet, and pump the Excel data into a SQL Server Table first for "Enrolled" and then for "Engaged"? How can I control the Foreach
Loop Container in SSIS to process ONLY the "Enrolled" worksheet first? And then the "Engaged" worksheet next?
I know I have multiples out here and I apologize for that...but right now it seems as though I take three steps forward and then two back.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks in advance!If the structure of the Excel sheets does not change from file to file then you can by having one ForEach Loop processing always the "Enrolled" sheet and another always the "Engaged" this is doable because the Excel OLEDB connector allows
to pick individual sheets, it is problematic therefore when sheet names themselves change.

First make sure you have the current version of iTunes, which is actually 10.5.1. I had to manually download it from apples website, for some reason, it wouldnt auto-update.

Somehow, very much unintentionally (it might have something to do with a 2 yr old "typing" on the keyboard while I wasn't looking), 1000s of my photos have been placed into separate folders, 2 or 3 random photos or videos in each folder. I have started opening each folder and moving the photos out, but with almost 1600 folders to go, I need to know if some else has ever encountered this issue, and if so, did you find a quicker way to get the photos out of the folders without having to manually open each one?
For the record, I now have my computer set to lock my screen when I leave my desk, lesson learned.I am using an iMac with iOS 7.0.4. All of the photos were on iPhoto '11 after I updated to 9.4.3, and Aperture 3.4.5, but a few months ago they all disappeared from the iPhoto and Aperture libraries, Events, Photos and Faces sections. A few weeks later, I noticed a bunch of new folders on my external hard drive with the same title in a serial list of numbers, had somehow been created. Since I still had the pictures backed up on an external hard drive, I didn't worry about it too much at the time, but today I needed to find a picture from years ago and that brought up the need to fix the mess. In opening the 200 or so files that I have already opened, I noticed that they all listed in their details that they had been modified on 7/27/2013, from 12:07 am to 12:33 am (I guess it wasn't the 2 yr old's fault after all, because she would have been sleeping, sorry kiddo). The peculiar thing is that there is no rhyme or reason to the way the photos and videos were put in the folders. Some folders have only photos from a broad range of time, some have photos and videos, but none of them are sequential in time within the folder. When I transfer the photos and videos out of the folders, into the main overall picture folder, some of them are already in the main folder and some of them are not, meaning that I can't just take for granted that they are all copies, and delete all of the folders with that certain name.
Since I have now cleared my child of being the culprit for all of this mess, I'm thinking it must have been caused by a computer glitch or an update, as Terence suggested, especially considering the time of night when the changes took place. All that is listed in the software update section of my System Preferences area is an update to the AirPort Utility to version 6.3 on 7/26/23 at 12:23 pm. iPhoto had updadated to 9.4.3 on 4/27/13, but none of the files showed modifications on any date other than 7/27/13. Aperture had also updated to version 3.4.5, but it had updated days earlier on 7/11/13. Nothing had updated since 7/11/13 until AirPort Utility updated on 7/26/23, and nothing updated after that until 9/12/13. -

To try to solve this issue, I:

Antivirus (BitDefender)
PC Cleaner (CCCleaner)
Flash,
Java,
Shockwave,
MediaPlayer...
FF (deleting all the settings).
Then reboot twice for safety.
Then re-installed Java, Flash, Shockwave.
Reboot once more.
Re-installed FF, reboot once more.
Checked that all the plugins were updated, and only then I finally installed my extensions.
Checked that the user.js and preferences.js were not read only.
Everything worked fine (even FF restart) until the next OS reboot!
Then it all strated again!!!!!! It's driving me crazy!!!! Please, help! Machine cannot defeat man... or, better, machine can defeat me, but not the whole of the FF community!!!!!
Please, I must get to the end of this story! Help!!!

Whenever I want to delete messages in the inbox on my iphone 4, using v4.2.8, I have to manually check each one and then delete them the checked ones as a group. Is there a way to select all and delete them at one time? I love the phone and it is a little complaint, but I often get 50-60 work related messages which I scan then delete because the originals are on my work computer. Thanks.

You have a point, but you're just helping exposing the misery a little more: I actually DO delete the emails in WebMail, very easily. The problem is the sorry state of the Apple email client, that does not replicate those actions on the device, so I have to delete the messages TWICE--once on my computer, with a couple of clicks, and then on my iPhone, with a couple (hundreds) finger gestures.
As to your point that the iPhone is not a standalone device: that's nonsense. The iPhone does a lot of things that users thought IMPOSSIBLE just 10 years ago. Are you saying that the addition of a simple feature like a "Delete All Messages" button is too much for a mobile device? Then what to say about Siri, a complex-beyond-our-imagination system that incorporates voice recognition, AI, searching and other hard-to-grasp technologies, all at our fingertips? -

Pics taken with the iphone are imported to your computer as with any other digital camera ( as explained in the manual).
