Loopy Flash Install
After installing OK on Win 7 Professional, error attempting to run 11.3.300.271, error:
"The Adobe Flash Player is required for video playback." Control panel lists Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX.
Aye, when I wasn't looking, Internet Explorer sneaked in a circle with a slash
that stopped Flash Player. Thanks, problem solved.

Flash installed and up to date however flash does not run on any web browser
I was catching up on watching a televsion show and watching it with no issues/no problems with flash before. I went to the website below and all of a sudden flash is not working. I did not change any settings, run any updates. I checked various browsers, flash content is not working on any of them. I can view youtube videos however just about any other site I've tried, nothing and many websites will not display correctly. I tried some of the troubleshooting suggestions in the forum however some of them I'm unable to do such as alter the flash settings, it takes me to the page but tells me I don't have Flash installed. I've tried switching user accounts on my pc as others have said flash works for them on the other account however mine is still broken. I've actually tried a system restore, still no luck.
Windows 8 (64 bit)
Flash Version 11.9.900.152
Tried web browsers IE, Firefox, Chrome - I've verified it is enabled
Active X is disabled
I've ran the 'test' to verify Flash is installed and it displays the video
I ran the debugger however I do not know how to interpret the data.
PLEASE HELP!!

How to watch flash based videos without adobe flash installed using Safari
How do I watch flash based videos without adobe flash installed using Safari?
Once you have Chrome installed, activate the Develop menu in Safari (go to Safari Preferences > Advanced > Show Develop Menu). You then will see under the Develop menu the Open Page With option and Chrome will be listed there.
So each time you open a page with Safari requiring Flash, you use that menu option to open the same page in Chrome. -
If I have click to flash installed, will flash still eat up my battery?
I reluctantly installed flash this morning. I've read that it can take 2 hours off your battery life. So here's my question, if I keep "click to flash" installed and don't look at flash, will it still drain my battery? (sorry if this is a stupid question, I just want to make sure)
Ok I'm going to answer my own question. I looked at the activity monitor with flash running and then with the page closed and the cpu usage for the "flash plugin" went from 25% to 0%.
Unfortunately, it may take a while for the transition from flash to html5 to take place. In the meantime there's always "click to flash". -
Flash Install Error in Opera-9
When I try to install latest Flash for Opera-9, I get an
error message saying Firefox is using one of the files and must be
closed. I have not opened Firefox in weeks. In Windows Task Manager
Firefox does not show as a running application or as any of the
myriad of processes running... so Firefox is not running but the
Flash install for Opera9 is faulty. How do I work around this?
Thanks, in advance, [email protected]Solved: the typo is in the documentation.
There is a space before the jdbcutility word:
java -classpath newscale_adu.jar;newscale_ddlrunner.jar;newscale_drivers.jar;newscale_security.jar;castor-0.9.5.4.jar;xercesImpl.jar;xml-apis.jar;commons-logging-1.0.4.jar;newscale_core.jar; com.newscale.deployer.util.JDBCUtility SqlServer myserver:1433;DatabaseName=RequestCenter DbNameUnused RCUser mypass C:\sources\rex\deploy\rex.xml
It would be great if the doc is more precise, knowing that most of the install is performed by hand.
Best regards,
David -
Why does Flash install Google Toolbar?
Why does Flash install Google Toolbar? Honestly, do you have ANY idea how annoying that behaviour is? I had no option at all to not download it, I could not stop downloading it. I was taking from a "you need to install flash" button on Facebook to the download.
Honestly things like this make me rage, installing things automatically without an option.
Until now, I used to think that it was annoying that Apple wouldn't allow flash on some of their devices. Now Adobe pulls **** like this, I'm not surprised. To hell with Flash I say. This is a user-to-user forum, and you're "preaching to the choir" here. IT ISN'T going to change, and NO ONE from Adobe management ever sees or reads these pages. Employees are here from time to time but no one who makes these decisions participates in these forums, per company policy. (I used to work for Intuit, and we were strictly prohibitied from posting in their forums. A team leader I worked with was fired for it).
Links to the FULL installers are posted literally HUNDREDS of times each week throughout these pages by myself, and at least three others I know of, who volunteer in these pages daily.
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
I DON'T run Adobe and no one here does, so I won't even beging to discuss business ethics.
The solutions have been offered, and I recommend you update NOTHING, including your OS, automatically. I don't because I don't want junk like Ask Toolbar, Yahoo Toolbar, Bing Toolbar, Bing Desktop, Norton or McAfee on any of my nine systems. -
My adobe flash install is failing! I have Vista installed on
a E partition. Flash was successfully installed, but only for IE. I
am a big mozilla user, but after trying numerous uninstalls and
installs with the downloaded version, all fail with insufficient
disk space. Log is attached!

Adobe flash install trojan??
1) does the adobe flash install come with LION?
i have been reading about it appearing as an upgrade & it is a trojan
can someone please advise what is good & what is not
will try to describe what i found and put on the desktop ready to trash, but nee some feedback as to whether adobe came bundled with my new IMAC & with LION
below is what i dragged out of my hard drive???

do i keep this?
thanks in advancejerseygoil wrote:

do i keep this?
No, just go ahead and drag it to the Trash can and drop it in there.
In the folder called "Downloads" next to your Trash can will be something like
install_flash_player_osx_intel.dmg
Also drag this to the Trash Can and from the Finder menu select Empty Trash to delete these two items.
If there is anything else in the Downloads Folder that you don't know or want, remove it and/or drop it in the Trash too so the Downloads folder is empty.
We don't want any mistakes to happen, just in case you perhaps did download the fake Flash installer which is a trojan.
Next click this link and visit this web page and click the download button.
This is the REAL Flash player plug-in for your web browser so you can watch videos online.
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Once it's downloaded it will be the only thing in your Downloads folder, close your web browsers and double click the large Flash Player icon and doubleclick the installer icon in the window that appears. Your launching the installer program.
A OS X warning will appear to let you know, click "Open".
There is a small checkbox on the left side of the Flash installer that you need to check to enable the Install button, you'll need to enter your Admin password, once completed just quit the installer and restart your web browser. You can then browse to the Flash video site and watch videos.
Once in a awhile a notification will appear to update Flash, simply visit the web page at the link I gave you and repeat the same proocedure. -
Default flash install on flash on adobe flex builder 3?
When I used to go to a flash page and did not have flash
installed, the installl rocked!!!! immediately prompting you to
install....no download/save as or anything, just a simple click the
install button. I remember firefox and IE both were really good.
Now, I used flex builder 3 and the default html file and alll it
does is redirect to a flash adobe site. This is one of the best
ways to LOSE customers and I would like to fix this. In our
customer testing, we noticed some would just skip the site and not
continue to look with the following pattern. In our previous
studies, clicking one install button was not a big deal....but the
redirection to the page(at least in china) is a big barrier to get
people using flash. Also, the only data we found was 80% of users
on flash 9(I don't know how accurate that data is) so this feature
is very important to us(otherwise we would not consider switching
to GWT technology).
thanks for any help,
DeanThanks Bharat Patel,
I have already read this pdf files. but didnt get any solution.
So, the issue is style "direction" conflicts with the swc files.
so, suggest me the correct answer. -

the displayed error message is complaining about an option that isn’t present on the line of code in your post. Are you running /usr/sbin/installer somewhere else in your script? It seems as though it’s complaining about a different line of code. -

Why won't Flash install on my MAC?
How come adobe customer service won't help me? It's really
annoying that they can't help over the phone and I just have to
cross my fingers and hope someone knows what's going on in the
forum. Please, help.
I had flash installed fine and then one day it suddenly would
not work. It said I did not have the plug in blah blah so I
reinstalled it and still, all it does is bring me to the adobe
website and say it can't locate my plug-in. I've tried on Safari
and Firefox. I know it is being installed for all of my browsers.
I've also tried updating my browsers as well as uninstalling and
reinstalling flash and nothing works.Hello,
Please try downloading the Flash from following link:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
Please choose "Mac OSX.." in step 1 and "Flash Player 15.." in Step 2.
You should be able to download the Flash Player then.

Why does Captivate 2 not think I have Flash installed?
Why does Captivate 2 not think I have Flash installed? It will not start up even though I have the most recent version of Flash. It tries to redirect me to the download page every time.
The issue is actually due to the way all versions of Captivate prior to version 5 were coded. They were not able to understand the Flash Player numbering beyond a given version. Once that version of Flash Player is exceeded, they give the same error message as shown when your Flash Player version is too LOW.
When Captivate 4 had this issue Adobe provided a download patch to resolve. But you have absolutely NO chance now of getting a fix for something as old as Cp2. -
USB flash install drive tight fit?
Anyone else try using the flash install key and notice that it's pretty tight going in the USB slot- and yes I put it in correctly:) I noticed some slight marks on the gold contacts after doing a re-install. I wonder how many times these are good to use before they go bad, not that I'd be using them all too often...
