Loose 30-Pin adapters

I have a new iPhone 5s and bought the Lightning to 30-pin adapter as I have many old cords. However, the adapter is so loose in my 5s that it is unusable? Is it my phone?  (by the way, as I saw on an earlier (rude reply) post, it's not a matter of just returning it as faulty... I actually tried three different adapters with same results.  Just wondering if anyone else had this problem; is it common?)

Not common
is the adapter the genuine Apple item or a clone
if a genuine Apple device  take it to an Apple Store genius bar ,all Apple accessories have a 12 month warranty
Take both adapter and iPhone

  • Are there available 6 and 8 pin adapters in the k450e?

I'm looking over the gtx 970 and it looks like it requires 6 or 8 pin adapters.  Are these avaiable in the computer as I see the 500 watt psu should be adequate and I just don't want to make a purchase that I can't use.  Thanks

I would never use a molex to power a good gfx card as it will pull to much power from that, if the psu dont have to correct power i would replace it as you dont want that blowing up and taking out you other parts
look for a branded 500w psu antec, seasonic, xfx or corsair are all good brands
as for if it will work im not sure, if you have a pc repair shop that sells the 970 and psu ask them to test it and see ifit works before you buy

  • Any update on when lightning 30 pin adapters will support video?

Any update on when lightning 30 pin adapters will support video transfer?

yeah, and I can't believe that you can't buy sushi for breakfast, but there it is. Chris CA is right. Lightning will NOT support analog video out. It will do audio, though. So...your best bet would be to buy a Lightning digital AV adapter (2nd generation) then try to find an HDMI to 30 pin cable. I'm presuming that the wowee has a 30 pin socket on it... I see.... it also has a VGA and a mini-HDMI port on it, so you'll have to use the last two, perhaps, unless you can find  cable that goes from HDMI to 30 pin male end, then 30 pin female to female, to finally connect with the wowee. I  have yet to see a 30 pin female to female adapter, and I suspect there will never be one.  I can't believe many things, either, scoody. Apple is not known for going backwards, once it has introduced a new standard. It may try to acommodate some people, but it will never be able to please everyone.  In any event,  I think it was mentioned by Apple that, in moving to Lightning, some 30 pin stuff might not work, and the wowee cinemin slice is probably one of those things...
    welp--there you go

  • Bluetooth 30-pin adapters?

    Do these exists?
    How's the quality?
I hoping to use one of these adapters on my old 30-pin connector docks.
The new lighting adapters aren't the greatest and/or compatible with most new iPhone 5 cases.

....i know that the iphone has bluetooth because i own one...now currently we cant use bluetooth headsets with this because it doesnt support a2dp....and i wanted to know being as the it has an ipod connection (30-pin), if this adapter will let me use the headsets on the iphone on ipod mode.......

  • Lightning to 30 Pin Adapter Charging Starts and Stops Intermittently

I purchased two Lightning to 30 Pin adapters, and both are exhibiting the same problem.  They seem to start and stop charging intermittently on my iPhone 5, which, to be clear, is not in a case, nor is the adapter obstructed in any way.
I purchased one for a dedicated iPhone/iPad charging station that I keep by my nightstand.  The adapters fit flush with the 30 pin connector on the charging station side.  At least three or four times during the night, the phone vibrates twice with the "you've just connected to power" alert and wakes me up. Trying the same thing in the car with the other adapter, the iPhone charging starts and stops while connected to my 12v power converter via a Twig cable.  When I connect the standard Lightning cable to either the charging dock (through its included USB ports) or directly to the same 12v converter plug in my car's cigarette lighter, I have no trouble charging at all.
Has anyone else seen this behavior?  Could I have two faulty adapters (which doesn't seem likely), or is there something in the nature of the adapter that makes it turn on and off the charging on occasion?

I have the same problem. I bought the same type of Speck Candy Shell case that I had for my 3GS iPhone. The $34.00 Lighting to 30-pin adapter will not fit through the case and into the IPhone 5. I just talked to Apple support and after being on hold 5 mins while the tech talked to her supervisor, the Apple solution is "take your case off the phone when you want to use the adapter". I hope thousands of us complain and Apple fixes this. If Apple had not been so secretive and talked to accessory manufacturers they would of know that the Adapter they designed was faulty. Now I how to drive to an Apple store to return the Adapter to get my money back. Only the USB cable will fit through the case into the iPhone 5.
Bad Adapter design my Apple. Thats what happens when you design a product for millions of people - in a secretive bubble.

  • IPhone 5s case incompatible with lighting to 30-pin adapter!

Got my black 5s yesterday and also picked up a black 5s case. I really like the case and the way my phone looked in it. I have clock radios all over my home and a few lightning to 30 pin adapters that I bought last year with the 5. When I tried to plug the 5s, with case, into my clock radio the lightning connection would not work. The case was too think at the bottom for the adapter to connect. So.....case was returned.
I must say I'm surprised at apple for missing that. Did they not think that people would maybe plug their phones with a case into a clock radio before going to sleep? Major oversight.

Have a look at cableJive they make the dockStubz which might do what you are looking for

  • Lightning to HDMI/& 30 pin stopped working since OS update

Purchased lightning to HDMI & lightning 8 pin to 30-pine adapters & since I updated to 7.1.2 they don't work on my iPhone 5s or iPad Air. But my lightning to SD Card does work.  Anyone else?  Anyone with support?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    2) Reboot
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
    Good luck!

  • 30 pin adapter

I have 2 different 30 pin adapters and neither one will work with my 7th gen nano on my old docks what gives  ? was I mistaken to assume that it would ?

The old 30-pin connector passed a lot of different signals, including an "iPod Out" protocol that was used by a lot of home and car docks to pass control signals along with audio. The Lightning-to-30-pin adapter passes audio, but it doesn't pass the "iPod Out" signals, so a lot of old docks don't work.

  • Is analog audio out supported using the new lightning cable adapters ?

Is analog audio out supported using the new lightning cable adapters ?

Yes.  Both adapters (the .2m adapter and small adapter with no cable) have built in DACs just for that purpose.
For more information, read this story.  It's a little long but it will explain in further detail:

I personally have a speaker dock thing from iHome.  It uses analog audio.  I have tried it with both types of adapters and it works perfectly.

  • D10 and nvidia Titan, Best solution to power required 6 pin and 8 pin input

    Hi,
For gpgpu programming and computing I would like to install a nvidia gtx Titan.
This card has a TDP of 300 Watts, and the manufactor requires a 650 W PSU.
So we thought that the D10 should be ok.
The problem is that it needs a 8 pin and a 6 pin power input. The D10 only has 2 6 pin connectors.
I saw some adapter cables on the market:
    the safest seemed using a:
    2 x 6 pin to 8 pin.
    2 x molex to 6 pin.
The problem is that there is only 1 molex.
if i am correct the 6 pins are rated 75W and the 8 pins 150W
There are some people using 1x 6 pin to 8 pin adapters, some say its ok, some say its dangerous.
    What would you recomend?
    (1 x 6 pin to 8 pin) and (6 pin)
    or
(2 x 6 pin to 8 pin) and ([sata to molex] + molex in a 2x molex to 6 pin)
    or
    any other recomendations?

    Hi,
Yesterday i finaly got the 6to8 pin addapter. So i tried using that on the P5 (6 pin) and to use the the P4 as the standard 6 pin, as suggested. In the beginning if i change something about my D10 i always get some boot errors the first few startups that dissapear as soon as i enter and save and exit the bios. But then it worked
My first surprize was that the Zotac Titan amp edition, was really quiete under idle.
I could not really test a lot because normaly i have to work using 2 monitors, and i didnt have the proper addapter to mount 2vga monitors, (i needed a DVI-D to vga adapter or a hdmi to vga addapter, this evening when i finish my regular work i will test it again).
In the 1.5 hours that i used the d10 with the Titan it i got one strange screen blackout and i had to reboot.
When i tried to install the drivers from the DVD, and the DVD started spinning, full power, the display went black, and didnt got back again without a restart. I think that could be a power issue.
I will test it some more, running a gpu benchmark test, and trieng to copy something from a dvd in the same time.
In case it will happen more frequently the Juice box suggested could be an idea, although i think that i dont like the sound of the 3 high speed fans. My D10 is so queiet even with the Titan.
A second isue is that i wanted to try to use the standard nvidia quadro fx 1700 in my D10 next to the gtx Titan.
(to use the quadro for my monitors, and the titan for running gpu programs)
When i tried both together the fan of the quadro (which is normaly very quiete) was running on full power inmediatly after booting, And then gave an error in windows, and didnt give any graphical troughput, but the titan did.
    So open points are:
1)if i can reproduce the black screen when playing a DVD or under high load,
2)trying to run 2 graphic cards in parralel. (the second card beign a low power one)
    I will update.

  • What type of adapter/ converter would I purchase from Apple if traveling to France? Does Apple even offer one?

What type of adapter/ converter would I purchase from Apple if traveling to France? Does Apple even offer one?

The power supplies used by Apple can be used with any line voltage between 100 and 240 volts so you done need any changes there.
What you will need is pin adapters because the European socket require different shaped pins. You can get the pins adapters at any hardware store quite inexpensively.

  • Component video

Can the Ipad Air output video to component video inputs.  All Ipads with 30 pin adapters are able to do this using the 30 pin to Red/White/Yellow cable Apple sells.  I have the USB that is part of the cable plugged into a power block but I do not think that is important.  It works for Itunes Videos but does not work with Amazon Instant Video.
However, to connect the Ipad Air I used a lightning to 30 pin cable and plugged the 30 pin end into the 30 pin to Red/White/Yellow Cable I mention above.  Unfortunately no video is output to the tv.  Only audio.  What am I doing wrong.  Can another cable be used?

The Lightning to 30-pin adapter, as it says in the specs and on the Apple Store page, doesn't work with video, so that's not going to work for you. I'm not aware of any Lightning to Component cable or adapter, but perhaps someone else here will have come across one.
    Regards.

  • Mini-din midi cables

i'm having trouble finding mini-din to full size din cables for sale online
can i use these?http://www.opentip.com/Electronics-C...-p-877355.html cables and just remove the 6th pin?

these sites only have the 6 pin adapters for sale
i want to know if these cables are equivalent to the 5 pin (after removing the extra pin) cables included with creative products. or do these cables have completely different pin outs?

  • Will the iPhone 5 support video out

Any word on if the iPhone 5 will support video out

From what I have read after a brief Google session, the iPhone 5 has no viable hardwired method of video output. There are no Lightning to HDMI adapters, only the legacy 30-pin adapters allow HDMI or even composite video output. The available Lightning adapters DO NOT support video output. So, those of us who rely upon cables to facilitate video output from our phones to an external display are just plain out of luck. Thanks a lot for alienating your customers in a new way, Apple! We don't all have the luxury of having WiFi and an Apple TV at our disposal everywhere we go. It is hoped that you are working on a cabling option for Lightning that will allow video out. Why on earth would you tote the "digital" nature of your new adapter and then cripple it by not allowing video output?!?!

  • Is it possible to install a BNC-2120 to a PCI-1200

SH6850, SC5068 and D6850 (cables for 50-68 pins adapters) do not have the PCI-1200 pinout. Is there any adapters to interface a PCI-1200 to a BNC-2120?

    Hello;
Unfortunately, the BNC-2120 is meant to be conneted to E-series DAQ devices only. It won't work with the 1200 series.
