Loose PRO functionality when upgrading above 7.0.1

Hi,
When I upgrade beyond 7.0.1 my pro registration is stated as invalid. The problem is consistent across my Mac computers & with versions 7.0.2 & 7.0.3.
I have tried deleting preference settings file & re-entering the registration code.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post.
Firstly, I do have a PRO license for QT 7, which as stated worked fine with version 7 & 7.0.1 i.e. the greyed out features in the standard version are available.
However, when I upgraded from 7.0.1 to 7.0.2 & 7.0.3 I loose the PRO features & re-entering the license however carefully makes no difference.
If I down grade to QT 7.0.1 I get the PRO features back.
I'm a reasonably able Mac user & frankly I just can't figure this one out at all.

Thank you Verizon for finding another way to screw loyal customers.
I recently upgraded to a smart phone in mid-month. When my bill arrived I was charged the full month's data charge for the month in which I upgraded. It's $30. Pro-rated it would have been more like $10. Frankly, you could have given me that one as a thank you for years of being a loyal customer. I could have switched to Boost or Cricket for a lot less. Instead you charge me for the whole month. Sure, we're talking $10, $20... won't break me, but add it up and it's millions of overcharges for Verizon.
Any lawyers out there who would like to launch another class action suit against greedy telecoms? ********. I suppose I could call and waste $20 worth of your customer service time, but I have better things to do.

I am recently pretty unhappy with Verizon, they disbanded their customer loyalty group and when I got a new plan I lost 4 mos of a credit I was to receive for "being a loyal customer" and not cancelling service, instead I upgraded and continued another 2 years...but got my son a new phone requiring a new plan and I am sorry you just lost that credit and we won't give it to you. Nice customer service, what happened to fixing things for your customers, and loyalty yes says alot that they disbanded that group. Also they are having issues with data looking high and I see NOTHING about it posted anywhere, but took several hours and days to talk to several people to find it's a known issue.

Lost my HP deskjet 3512 printer function when upgrading to Windows 8.1 - can't get it back!

I lost my wireless connection from my Hp A6 Vision lapptop to my HP 3512 deskjet printer when I upgraded to Windows 8.1. I'm told it is installed but it is not responding. I'v tried following instructions and even using the Hp wizard to get it up and running. Is it even compatible with 8.1? What do I need to do?

I understand that you lost your wireless connection to your HP Deskjet 3512 after upgrading to Windows 8.1. I am happy to help!
The printer is definitely compatible with Windows 8.1. As there are drivers available at this website, HP Deskjet 3510 e-All-in-One Printer Full Feature Software and Drivers.
I would recommend the following:
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software. (In case there are old drivers still installed, if not then carry on to the next step).
Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Re-install using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.
Then follow this guide, Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection.

PS2 mouse loosing wheel function when switching with KVM

Hello everyone,
I've used the last couple of days struggling with a problem with my arch linux where my mouse won't use the scroll wheel after switching my KVM. From a search here on the forum I deduced that I'm not the only one with that particular problem. Unfortunately noone seems to have found a solution. (None that I could find...)
What I have tried is:
* Change the mouse protocol in my xorg.conf file : auto, IMPS/2 and ExplorerPS/2 are the one's I could think of. Actually ExplorerPS/2 is the one used in my kubuntu setup, and there it works just fine!?
* Used xev to see if my wheel is triggering any response : Well, it doesn't.
* Compared the udev rules in my kubuntu setup to them in arch : I don't truly understand the rules, so I'm not sure if there is something to be gained from this. There are a lot more rules files in kubuntu.
* Run "cat /proc/bus/input/devices" : The list of devices contains two references to mice.
Mouse0 is "Macintosh mouse button emulation"
Mouse1 is "PS2++ Logitech TrackMan" (my mouse)
I'm also a bit unsure what to do with this info, but it seems the wrong mouse is recognized. Is there a way to force X to use mouse1?

I noticed something today. When I lose the function of my mouse wheel, the wheel on my keyboard works instead? Don't know if that could be helpful in finding a solution.

You can lose your data during any upgrade, in fact you don't even need to be doing anything out of the ordinary for your hard drive to die. Therefore it is vital that you always have a current backup of your system, preferably a Time Machine backup and a bootble clone made through a program such as Carbon Copy Cloner. This is essential if by chance something does go wrong.
Now I've finished scaring you, I have never had a bad experience updating or upgrading, but as your data is precious you really have to protect it just in case.

You could try the driver for windows 7 and check if it helps.
you can also try to update windows 8.1 as a new update may install the driver from Microsoft's driver library.

It sounds like you would like to send a text from your phone number on your portable computer. You can do this by setting iMessage to start new conversations from your phone number in the Messages settings:
On OS X, find out which addresses are enabled:
In Messages, choose Messages > Preferences > Accounts.

I'm trying to upgrade 9.0 academic version to 9.1.7 to use on a new MacBook pro. When I try to do incremental upgrades to 9.0.1 or 9.0. it says I don't need them. When I try to upgrade to 9.1.7 it says there is no version eligible to upgrade.

I think I just got it. I had the actual Logic Pro.app in a folder called Logic Pro inside the applications folder. When I moved the actual app out of the folder and into applications it worked. I am in the process of updating now. However it seems a little strange because that's how it installed from the discs - into a folder named Logic Pro within the applications folder. I would never have figured that out on my own. So thanks for those who posted solutions to other users similar requests.

Hello All, I was in the process of upgrading all my reports
to crystal XI. As a results, some of the reports have seem to lose
their functionality when run through my VB app. If I run the reports
directly from Crystal 11 and enter in the parameter values manually, it
works fine, but when I run the reports through my VB app, some of the
reports lose their initial functionality. It mainly seems to be
misbehaving on show/hide functionality on subreports andshow/hide functionality on columns. For
example, I have a reports which has a subreport that is shown based on
the a parameter value (yes or no) .Well, this subreport shows up in any
case (whether it is yes or no) . It just seems like the subreport is
not recognizing the parameter from the main report. I've debugged the
VB code and it seems like all the parameter are set and passed in
correctly. Here is my code that set theparameters . Please provide insight. Thanks

You can send the pictures from your old phone to your email or online album. Just either do it before you activate the new phone, or temporarily reactivate the old phone, and transfer the pictures, then activate the new phone again. An SD card is also a good option, and easier.
As far as your texts, you can get them from your old phone to your new phone.
Download a software called BitPim to your computer, it lets you transfer pictures, texts, contacts, ringtones, calendar entries, etc.

It will be necessary for you to install Lightroom from an upgrade installer. An upgrade requires the original serial number from the version that you first purchased, as well as the serial number for the upgrade. The upgrade serial number, by itself, will not work.

My external monitor flickers intermittently and wont function when connected to macbook pro

I recently purchased a cable to convert the thunderbolt/miniport to the VGA input on an external monitor I have had laying around for a few years. I am currently running osx 10.7.5 on a macbook pro.
When I plugged the cable to connect my macbook to the monitor, the monitor certainly recognized the cable, but the display would not do more than flicker in and out intermittently when connected to my macbook.
I have searched the forums for a solution to this, but haven't been able to find one that works. I tried resetting the SMC and restarting while holding cmd+P+R but none of these "fixes" seemed to help.

Simplest thing to try is a PRAM reset.
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

What is the meaning of this message? Does it indicate an error? Should I be concerned?
Logging into the repository with Designer, everything behaves fine and I am able to run a simple job from the repository.

Found this message, and this thread when upgrading 11.7.0.1 repositories to 12.2.1.0. Worryingly the above posts refer to DS 12.1 and service packs that you'd have thought would already be in 12.2.1.0!
I was upgrading about 14 local repositories and 11 central repos and I struggled to find the common error as to why the fabulous "The central repository upgrade was cancelled. (BODI-300022)u201D message appeared. There seemed to be nothing wrong with the repositories and after the upgrade failed DS thought they were 12.2.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I solved it thus.
*Close the SAPBO Data Services Repository Manager after each upgrade. Reopen for the next upgrade and it works.*
