Loosing bluetooth connection to keyboard and mousepad

My keyboard and mousepad keep loosing connection.
I have replaced the batteries multiple times in both devices so I know that is not the issue.
Once in a while a key will go biserk and just keep typing.
Thoughts?

  • I have a 2011 iMac 27" i7 and the bluetooth connected trackpad, keyboard, and mouse all go haywire after awhile. This just began today and cannot make the issue go away. Nothing was downloaded, no software updates, etc. please help!

Oops, sorry, using my iPad for this. My iMac's Bluetooth-connected devices are going haywire after awhile of use. All three things--the trackpad, keyboard, and mouse--act up, especially the trackpad, by being overly sensitive and often just clicking and moving on its own. I've restarted the computer, I've swabbed batteries out of the devices, and nothing has worked so far in solving this issue. I downloaded Lion when it came out and had the update last week (I think), but today is the first day to experience this issue and nothing was downloaded today. I've been sending out a flurry of emails, but nothing else to hint at why this problem happened. Any ideas??

Humm, thank you. I have my iPhone and iPad on the wireless network, and yeah--using the rechargable batteries. I'll try normal batteries and re-join the phone and get back to you. May take a day or so because the semester starts today. Thank you again.

  • Losing bluetooth connection with keyboard and track pad

Every few minutes, I lose the connection between my wireless keyboard and track pad and the computer. Since its happening simultaneously, I don't think its an issue with either the trackpad or keyboard but bluetooth. I've tried turning my computer off and unplugging it and no dice. Its a real productivity kill right now. HELP!!!

Hey all - thanks. I've tried swapping batteries and my battery power is 100%. I've turned the computer off completely and back on. I've even unplugged it and turned off the keyboard and track pad.
My computer will not let me turn Bluetooth off. It give me a warning sign that  I won't be able to use the computer and the only option is ok.
I'm also not having any luck finding out the RSSI levels to see if there's any interference. As far as I know, there are only three devices via blue tooth and I turned off one (my iPhone) and the only other two are the track pad and keyboard.
When I try  to follow the RSSI instructions, the option - click doesn't do anything. Very frustrated and thinking I'll need to schedule time with Apple. Today has been very frustrating.

  • Keyboard and Mousepad does not work after installing windows support software.

I was able to successfully install windows 8.1 64bit on an late 2012 iMac. I went through the installation just fine with the mousepad and keyboard. I went into the desktop and open up the files and went to computer to download the windows support software. After it was done installing the windows support software, my mouse and my keyboard stopped working completely. I couldn't even click "finish" on the download. I turned the computer off by pressing the power button, then turned it back on. I held the option key and the Macintosh HD and Windows showed up. I turned the mousepad and keyboard back on and it was working again. So I clicked on Windows and as I enter the startup screen, the mouse and keyboard  stopped working again.
Computer: iMac 21.5 in. late 2012
    Used Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit
The keyboard and mousepad that I have is  bluetooth.

    Hi,
Have you checked it from Sounds yet. Please
    Right click the speaker icon
    Select Recording devices
You should see a "tick", otherwise Right click it and enable it.

  • HT1365 loosing bluetooth connection on my macbook pro

Hi. I keep loosing bluetooth connection to my magic mouse. I'm using it on a Macbook pro. Any suggestions.

    Like this:
Go to system preferences>Bluetooth.  Highlight the device.  If detailed information is not shown, click on the little gear>show more info.  Then click on the gear again and make the device a favorite.

  • Macbook frozen keyboard and mousepad

Anyone have a fix for a frozen keyboard and mousepad. The external mouse works, but the integrated stuff (KB and MP) don't. HELP!

I went through this for about 2 months. Finally visited the Genius bar. After 3 visits they determined it was the top casing and/or logic board. We discovered this by opening the console log. You can do this by using spotlight and entering "console" click and open console and the running error log will display. Then check to see if you have usb errors. These errors were showing up because the internal usb connection that connects the keyboard and mouse pad were breaking down intermittently. If that's whats' there, then you need them to replace the top casing.

  • Thinkpad Yoga 13 keyboard and mousepad don't work

    Hello people!
Last time I went  to US, I've bought this machine from Amazon: Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga Signature Edition - 12.5" 2-in-1 Touchscreen Notebook PC - Intel i5 Haswell / 8GB RAM / 128GB SSD / WiFi / Webcam / Windows 8.1 - Black
I love it! At least until two weeks ago... after a windows/lenovo update things starts to be really hard.
My keyboard and mousepad simple don't work anymore, totally unresponsive. If I hit "del" to access the bios, the keyboard does work, after that, when windows is loading and fully loaded, I've got only the "tablet" mode.
The only thing that works correctly is the touchscreen, as it only recognize itself as a tablet, not as a ultrabook. The screen also rotates automatacly when windows is fully loaded, so I have to use the tent mode with an external usb keyboard/mouse or type in the screen keyboard...
I leave in Brazil, got in contact with lenovo suport team here, after a lot of procedures, that didn't solve the problem, they told me to get in contact with lenovo US and ask for an original dvd recovery.
Is there anyone with a different approach to solve this problem?

First try SMC and PRAM resets:

If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a free diagnosis.
    Ciao.

  • Different Bluetooth connections for phone and music streaming

Can I have different Bluetooth connections for phone and music streaming functions on my 4s? If I can is there a way that the will automatically select (remember) the proper bluetooth receiver?

TDMA interference, and is a type of RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) unique to GSM mobile phones. It affects all GSM mobile phones, but is not harmful to you or your electronics. It is just an audible indicator of network activity.
GSM mobile phones generate this interference when they communicate with the cellular network. You don't need to be actively using the phone, as it constantly accessing the network to check signal strength, synchronize the clock, or perform other network-related tasks. The only way to stop this interference is to turn off the phone or its network capabilities. For example, by using Airplane Mode.

  • Where is   sign when you call international number, but first you call local number and after connect open keyboard and see that sign   doesn't exist only 0

Where is   sign when you call international number, but first you call local number and after connect open keyboard and see that sign   doesn't exist only 0

No that is not work. Try to call some number and when is connect click on keyboard and you can see that sign "+" doesn't exist.
So I use local number, when I'm connect I have option to call international number but like "+3193675xxxx" how I can put?
Before on iOS 6 I do it.

  • Screensaver leaves the keyboard and mousepad unresponisve

Twice now I've come back to my macbook running the screensaver and the keyboard and mousepad have been unreponsive. I am able to get out of the screensaver by pressing the power key prompting the 'do you want to shutdown window' but as the keys and mouse wont respond i have to force shutdown. any ideas? thanks

    Hi Adrian -
Try going into your screen saver set up (System Preferences section) and changing you options to see if that makes a difference. Choose another saver, change the start time slightly or even choose a 'hot corner' to deactivate it.
Failing this, make sure you run your maintenance scripts (I use Onyx for this) and repair your permissions as well. Then restart and see if things have changed.

  • Anyone had an issue on iphone 4s where bluetooth connects one day and then the next will not discover anything, but then a little while later it works again?  I have 2 audio devices and an apple keyboard that I have this issue with. Effects ALL.

I have an iphone 4s.  A while ago it started having issues with bluetooth.  All of the sudden, an audio headset I am using quits working with my iphone bluetooth.  I check and my iphone doesn't see any of my bluetooth devices.  I have an apple keyboard, a headset, and a speaker.  Nothing shows up on my iphone but they all connect perfectly to my ipad.  Then a day or so later it works again. The are all suddenly there.  I just installed iOS7 and I'm still having the same problem. What is UP?  Anyone have a clue what is going on?

I have this problem too. I have an iPhone 4, and this wasn't a problem when I bought the phone back in December. I think it came a month or so later and I suspect with a standard upgrade of something like itunes, or iphone software... but I can't pinpoint it to any specific update as it took me a while to notice it. For me, it does this with my work calendar which is run through Microsoft Outlook. But it's the exact same thing - and it means my calendar isn't reliable anymore.
I've made sure the time-zone settings are correct, I've updated all software, and gone through all possible settings for both my i-phone and Outlook. Nothing fixes the problem, even our tech guy at work didn't know what to do. I know it's not just my phone as the exact same thing has happened with my boss's iPhone which is an iPhone 3G, and it frustrates him to no end.
I'm really hoping someone at apple can tell us what's going on, especially since it never used to do this and there doesn't seem to be any way to fix it. If someone thinks they know what itunes update this was due to, let me know - I'll see if I can go back to that older version.

  • How do I fix bluetooth connection between mouse and keyboard with iMac. iPhone won't connect to bluetooth either

Bluetooth on Mac os x won't work with keyboard, mouse or iphone.  Keyboard and mouse both have new batteries and go discoverable when switched on, i have gone into system setup and tried connecting.  It connects briefly with mouse then drops in and out of connection, keyboard does same, asking for passcode then no connection.  I'm lost... my phone can pick up keyboard, so i think it is bluetooth in mac.

    Go to ~/LIbrary/Preferences
Move the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac.
    Try re "pairing" the keyboard.

  • Nokia N8 Unable to Connect External Keyboard and M...

Hi all, I bought N8 1 week back, the device is great
    1. For an 8minutes lengthy call using head phone, I felt the phone is heating too much at battery side, please coment on it, if anybody felt so? do i need to go to nokia care?
    2. I bought one Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 when its connecting N8 is asking for passkey, I tried many defferent combinations like "0000", "1111", "1234" etc. but its not passing. From Microsoft help they are saying no need to give any passkey, just press enter within 30sec. Can anybody help me to connect this keyboard to N8, OR, if anybody know any KEYBOARD & MOUSE which can be connected to N8 please tell me.

Hello again, just tried It at home now...turn your keyboard on and make It flash red/green..then search for it with your N8...when found, select It.then It will ask you to input numbers on your N8 (I typed 1111)then OK,same number on keyboard then enter, then It will ask you to make connection every time, select NO,mine disconnected after a few minutes when selecting YES,but every time I turn the keyboard on It ask for numbers again, and I have discovered that I can  only have 3 devices  securily connected at same time(not nessecerly on at same time), I have headset, mouse and keyboard,so the external numberpad that was with It cannot be used, hope that help you..
