Loosing Junk Mail on the Junk Mail Screen
Starting a couple of weeks ago my Junk Mailbox has been accumulating items as it normally does, but when I then click on Junk Mail the screen shows no items at all.
Yet each day the number of items accumulating in my Junk Mailbox increases in number. Why can't I see the items that are in the Junk Mailbox?
I have had the same problem, junk mail message are not showing in the list window even though it says there are over 3000. I have tried many different ways to delete them.
The only "solution" I can find is to set the Junk mail to be put into trash (in Preferences -> Junk Mail -> Perform custom actions -> Advanced), but there are 3000 old junk mails still sitting there in the Junk folder. Is there some way to delete the Junk folder and start again?

On an iphone 4s, when I tap the phone number in my contacts list instead of calling the number it goes to a "Welcome to mail" screen with icloud, Microsoft exchange, Gmail, Yahoo, Aol & Windows Live Hotmail listed beneath. How do I make it call the number instead?
Never heard of that. I suspect it thinks that's an email address and you're seeing that screen b/c you don't have an email account setup on your iPhone.
Assuming the number is valid, try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings. -
If I delete one of my duplicate ICloud accounts, will I loose all my mail? I was searching for where I was getting the deleted mail and unchecked the store deleted messages on the server. That made changes to my account and now under accounts in mail I have the same account twice. I do not want to loose my mail and am affraid to delete one of the accounts.
Im trying to avoid a reinstall so am hoping there is a supporting file I have missed that can be trashed. I have also just tried trashing the ~/library/mail folder but there is no change to the check box behaviour.

What to do if the screen is stuck on the draft screen? I was writing a mail, saved it as draft, then later, was able to send it. However, the screen did not revert to the inbox page. The draft page seems to be hung or stucked. Safari and all others are working ok though.
I sent the draft to myself several times. That did not seem to be working, but when I opened Mail this morning, it has been sent all of the times and the Mail screen is no longer frozen.

Mail screen fills the whole window
Great granddaughter is visiting and stole my mouse for a few minutes and suddenly a LOT went wonky for a few seconds. But mostly my Mail screen is in full window covering the entire screen. There is a small tab down at the left bottom of my screen and if I click that it brings it up, but, again, in full screen mode. Since I've never had this happen before and can't figure it out, I need HELP!!!! in getting my Mac Mail back to normal size. The little 3 1/2 year old's future depends on it, I'm tellin' ya!!! HOW?????

ConnieIf the top right hand corner of your Mail window looks like this:
...slide your cursor all the way to the top of the right hand corner, and click on the blue button with the inward facing arrows...
If the upper left hand corner of your Mail window looks like this...
...then click on the right-most of the three buttons under the Apple icon (yours may be green in color and show a + sign when you hover over it). -
I am trying to change my email settings but everytime I click on mail in the set up screen I get bounced back to the home screen. Any ideas?

I upgraded to IOS 6, I am unable to get into my Yahoo mail. It accepts pw, and pops up and tells me how many e-mails I have and then goes right back to the sign on screen. verified that I can get in from laptop & wireless is functioning.any suggestions?

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever. -
My Yahoo Mail screen has lost the message pane. How can I recover?
How do I recover my Yahoo Mail screen with all of the panes showing? I can only see the left pane which has the folders and applications. The message pane is off the screen. The option and help drop downs are also off the screen. Normally, these panes can be adjusted but now there is no adjustment capability.
Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

What is going on with mobile me? All I get is the find iphone screen and I can't switch apps to read mail.
MobileMe is working partially, Apple says some users can't access to the web-apps (Mail, Calendar, etc.). In my case is working fine in my iPhone, in Outlook 2010, and I can only access the Mail app (Calendar and other functions are not working!).

My Ipad e-mail screen has frozen while trying to download a photo attachment. An error message "cannot download attachment" is on the screen but touching "OK" does not clear it. Any suggestions please?
You can also Force close apps
1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
2. Swipe the app's windows upwards to close
3. The app will fly off the screen

The mail screen on my iPad 4 all of a sudden went from the normal horizontal format to a vertical format, and I can't change it back. Help!
You should really start a new discussion because many times people will not even look at a solved post. It's one thing if you read the post and the solution works for you, but to add onto a solved post, especially when you have a different problem than the original person that posted, you might not get the help that you need.
I will give it a try. Close the iBooks app and reboot the iPad.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
I can only see the welcome to mail screen (iphone 5). I have successfully set up the mail because it shows mail icon with messages (104 messages). But I cant get into the actual mail box to read them. Pls help!
The received emails should show in two locations:
1. In the All Inboxes tab of Mail.
2. The Inbox for each mail account,
If your emails are not showing in these locations try quitting the mail app and then reset your iPhone.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal.
To reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem. -
I have an ipad2 and was using yahoo mail. I pressed send and it didn't work however it created a draft. I then opened the draft and now I can not cancel or send it or close the window. It just remains in the mail screen. Any suggestions?
I tried that but it is still stuck in Draft. Cancel button does not work but Send button does.

From the Comcast main screen, using FF 3.6.13, when I click on my mail to get it, I get an error page that says Firefox has detected the server trying to direct my request to the wrong place and that it may be because i have deleted cookies. I had in fact done this while looking around the other day, but now, under tools, it says I am allowing cookies and I found a list that looks like they are all there. I am unable to get my mail, but am able to go to other web sites ok.
Your problem is typical of the many problems reported with McAfee, and that may well be the cause. McAfee is free with Infinity but isn't built-in in the sense that you have to take it. Is your previous anti-virus still installed? If so, you should get rid of one of them anyway, and the usual advice here would be to ditch McAfee.
Even if McAfee is the your only AV I would replace it. If your previous AV is no longer available there are plenty of free options, and Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) is as good a choice as any. There's advice on uninstalling McAfee here.

After setting up my shaw email account on my phone, i go to mail and the Welcome to Mail screen opens with the icloud, exchange, google, etc shows. How do i get past this screen to see my actual email?
Yeah, I've done that. And the I click the mail app to try to check my mail, and that screen that I described above shows up.

I "updated" my iPhone4S 16gig this morning and can't get past the "Rescue Email" screen. I entered emails as well as opted out. I have gone back, but Apple ID Security insists I add security questions and mail. HELP!
Claudius,either you didn't read my post, or you jumped to conclusions. I had a skype account that was created using a microsoft account (NOT THE ACCOUNT I AM USING NOW). PURE MICROSOFT ACCOUNT NO OTHER ACCOUNT LINKING.I had to change the primary mail of that account.I was told "no can do" by skype support.I found that if I went to account settings and clicked on the link on the line below the one that said "MICROSOFT etc" (labeled something along the lines of "TV or Device") I got the opportunity to set the password of the "live:username" account (WHICH YOU COINCIDENTALLY HAVE TO DO IF YOU WANT TO USE SMART TVs ETC).Once that was done, I COULD SUCCESSFULLY DO WHAT SKYPE SUPPORT SAID WAS IMPOSSIBLE- I could change the primary mail address. once that was done, and NOT BEFORE, I linked the account to a facebook account as well, just to be sure I have more than one way to access the skype account. What caused you to get the impression that I was writing something else? furthermore this sentence - "The solution you described in your initial message isn't actually once since all the time you were operating on different account that weren't actually linked" does not make sense, I think you mis-edited it.and I need to point out that you are incorrect. I WAS NOT OPERATING ON DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS I WAS OPERATING ON ONE SKYPE ACCOUNT, THAT WAS CREATED USING A MICROSOFT ACCOUNT just like you say you recommend. I still don't know how you can misread my initial entry like that. If you have a better solution to my initial problem - changing the primary mail of a skype account created throuth either a microsoft account or a facebook account, Please write a sticky to explain how to do it, and please inform skype support that Yes it can be done, and this is the way it is done. So far my "lucky shot" seems to be the only way to do it.
