Loosing pictures saved in albums.

When i delete pictures in Recently Added Pictures (Photo Stream?) they are also deleted in albums where they are stored.
How can I avoid losing them?

send to your email via picture message(text), if you weren't clear on what Minnehaha said. Just put your email address in the to: box on your picture message(text).

PC Mac: How to move "saved photos" album?

I am moving my iTunes library from my PC onto my MBP and I need help on moving my ENTIRE iPod touch's content off its iTunes onto my Mac. I have done the songs/apps/podcasts via the "Share" option.
Anyways, I want to sync my iPod Touch w/ my MBP's iTunes asap and just need help so the pictures (from the "saved photos" section transfer over as is; I have over 6200 of them, ahem.
Unless, of course, the "saved photos" album stays the same even if you switch to another iTunes or would it get erased when synced to a new library? I HATE ITUNES FOR THIS VERY REASON. They need to come up w/ a more efficient to transfer iTunes-to-iTunes, the hassle is way too much.
I would love if anyone has better ideas on how to switch iPod touch content over from a PC iTunes to a Mac iTunes.

Photos on your Touch don't sync with iTunes but with photo programs such as iphoto or Photoshop elements. If you've never done this then photos saved on your iPod are only on your iPod. iTunes will backup your iPod, including your photos, when you sync with iTunes but you won't be able to browse them on your computer this way.
If you've moved over your entire iTunes library as mentioned above then you will be able to continue syncing and backing up your iPod with it as normal.

My sister keeps getting my pictures saved into her photo album. I have an iPhone 5 she has a 4. We don't share a photo stream or an Apple ID so I don't know why it keeps happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

WELL... UNLESS ... her photos and your photos are saved somewhere on the computer you share, and you import all photos off your computer, and dont check the source locations you might find stragglers appearing
also depends too if the computer uses one itunes account and recognizes your phone, which it shouldn't, but if you sync via itunes with one account, that accepts both phones, its possible.
but in camera roll, i'm not sure if she's differentiating where her photos are located at all. if she can tell the difference between camera roll and albums in the iphoto, then you can rule out camera roll as the place where the stragglers are appearing.

Coverflow - Were is the picture saved??

And what if i have a front and a backside cover.... how does that work ??

Coverflow can either use the embedded artwork (which means it is actually stored inside the music file itself), or can use a separate file downloaded from the iTunes store.
If it is a downloaded from iTunes store file then (as you are using Windows) it will be stored in
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Album Artwork\Download
If you are using embedded artwork then it also keeps a copy in
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Album Artwork\Local
Now, to add complexity to this, the file names within the above folders bear no relationship to the track name, and are also in various sub-folders again with no logic to the name. Adding even more complexity on top of that is that the jpeg of the album cover is stored in a Apple only file format called .itc which PhotoShop etc. cannot read.
In other words I strongly advise against trying to directly edit these files.
A possibly easier way would be instead to copy the artwork to the clipboard in iTunes, and then paste it in to PhotoShop, edit it in PhotoShop and then paste it back in to iTunes.
Regarding front vs. back covers, iTunes does let you paste more than one picture in to a track. If you do a get info on the track you can see an add button to add a second (or more) picture. However iTunes has no intelligence to automatically treat the extra pictures as a back cover.

Having arranged some scanned pictures in an album in I-Photo how can I keep them in the order I have chosen when I move the album. They all have the scan date and not the taken date and move to new positions if I move them from one album to another.

I was a bit short, Chris, sorry. It is limited, what can be posted, when typing on an iPad.
Now I am back on my Mac. I meant the following: Batch Change the date for a large range of photos, that should have a date stepped in increments.
Select all Photos at once and use the command "Photos > Batch Change".
Then set the date for the first photo and select an increment, e.g. one minute.
Now all photos will get a new date assigned, incremented by one minute, in the sequence you have selected. So you will be able to sort them by date. This way it will be unnecessary to change the titles or filenames.

Pictures can appear in any number of albums.
To move from one album to another, add the picture to the new album and then right click on the picture, select Remove from album and then select the album you want to remove it from.

Photos will not allow me to set the key picture for the album or event - it is set to grey !
Anyone else had this and found why ?
new PHOTO app replacing iPhoto bugs/ Problems OTHER PROBLEMS :
- no longer has a five star rating system
- my keywords for selecting albums are gone.
- cannot copy location of one photo to another
- cannot have an album with keywords AND rating > a value
- cannot set key photo of album/event
- multi parameter search feature gone
Anyone got any ideas how to get around this terrible downgrade of the software ?
BTW I have just discovered that iPhoto and its' libraries are still there, so I can go back but be left behind and frozen in time on this version if I do.

That are all good points - but Photos is a completely new application. and it is only version 1.
Continue to use iPhoto, girraween; the next update to Photos will probably add a few more features.
iPhoto 9.6.1 is working very well with MacOS X 10.10.3.
The migration let iPhoto installed and also your iPhoto Library will still work with iPhoto.
If you did not uninstall iPhoto, it will still be there in your Applications folder. And if you had updated to the latest version iPhoto 9.6.1 before you upgraded to MacOS X 10.10.3, you can simply drag iPhoto back to the Dock from your Applications folder and continue to use it. Double click iPhoto and confirm, that you want to open iPhoto and not Photos. It is not compulsory to use Photos, while it it still the first release. When you launch iPhoto, you will see a warning, that the iPhoto Library has been migrated to Photos, but simply click the "Open iPhoto" button.The library will still work with iPhoto. ()see: If Photos won't open a library that you already migrated - Apple Support
If your iPhoto version is not iPhoto 9.6.1, you need to update it.

The main idea is to move the iPhoto app to the Trash, so Spotlight does not see it as installed, reload the AppStore, and then to try to download again from the App Store - from your Purchases tab, not from the main page, since you can neither buy iPhoto nor update it, but you can reinstall, if your AppleID is associated with it.

When I click on almost any picture, in any album, to enlarge it, the pic starts to enlarge and then all I get is a black screen with a large exclamation point in the center. What have I done to my iPhoto program, and how do I fix it?

very quickly I get a black screen with a large white exclamation mark in the middle. And no full sized photo. Boo!

I'm sorry. Too old to understand this stuff. I'm sure this seems real stupid to you. But I have no idea how one
would "right click on the Original iPhoto Library" (I know, I know, 'as stated").
Do I right click on the symbol in the dock?? Or open it first and then, . . I can't find a way to right click on the word iPhoto in the top bar.
Or should I open the program you had me download. There I can find something called "original iPhoto library".
When I "right click" on that I get some options. None of them are "original folders". There's "reveal library in finder", and "dupilicate library and "sort libraries". I have no idea if any of these are what you want, or if any of these might change something.
When I clicked on "reveal library in finder" earlier on it showed me the copy of the photo library that I made a while ago, sitting right where I know it is on my desktop. And if I click on that symbol it shows me all the pictures again. Just like in my regular iPhoto files - all the thumbs are there, but most can't be opened to full sized.
Are we making progress here? I'm sure this is frustrating to you. This is just pictures of family. Even the thumbs are nice to look at. But this is nothing critical - like work related or anything.

In your iTunes Library, select the album. Then click on File/Get Info/Info and paste the artwork into the box named Artwork (in the lower right corner). Click OK

How should I do to see the pictures in my albums after publishing?

I've had my webpage for over a year and recently I made some major updates. I changed the theme and added more albums but after I published the updates I've noticed that I can't see the pictures in my albums. I can see the thumbnails and I can click on them but I can't see the pictures when I'm in the album. It's just a blank page and it says "Comments Widget" This is when I use Safari, when I use Internet Explorer the webpage doesn't work at all.
Does anyone know how I can solve this problem. Would be really thankful for some help!
