Lose screen on iPod Touch

I have a 2nd gen iPod Touch 8gb MC model. Recently I noticed that the bottom part of the screen at the corners feels loose. I have never dropped it. Would the Apple Store replace it under warranty or repair it? Warranty is good until December 31 2010

No worries, your English is far better than my Spanish.
FOrum regular b noir is a lot better at helping with this error. His advice is to do this:
+Try launching your Apple Software Update ("Start > All programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch, or do you get an error message? If you get an error message, what does it say? (Precise text, please.)+

White screen on ipod touch 4th gen 8 gb and cannot turn it off

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."

white screen on ipod touch. tried holding buttons. dont work. need help.

If your iPod is covered (insured) I would suggest taking it to Best Buy and see if there is anything they can do for you. Maybe try plugging it into iTunes and see what happens.

  • Screen on ipod touch freezes and then goes white.

Screen on ipod touch freezes and then goes white. Ihave restarted it and restored it but it didn't work. Anyone know what is wrong with it and how it can be fixed?

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store..

  • Did I lose money?  IPOD touch stuck in skull logo

So, I purchased an Ipod touch from someone off the street.  When I turn it on, its stuck on skull logo and its asking for a passcode.  Can I reset it? Or did i lose 20 bucks.

    1. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until you get the Slide to Power off option and slide to power off.
    2. Hold down the Home button at the bottom of the screen and plug it into iTunes.
    3. Continue to hold the Home button until iTunes tells you it is in recovery mode.
    4. Restore the iPod.

  • Cracked screen on ipod touch can't get in to it. did a back up with it and tried to put it on new ipod touch 5 and now it keeps talking and won't let me in or turn off.  how can i restore to nothing

Cracked ipod touch screen and it won't let me in or turn off.  Tried to back it up and put on new ipod touch 5 and now it's not working and doing the same thing. I tried to restore to orginal  but it won't let me any suggestions?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

When the above says to restore via iTunes, restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup

  • Black Screen On iPod Touch When Trying To Restore

    Hi,
I was trying to add some purchases to my iPod tonight from my computer to my iPod Touch 4 Gen. I plugged my iPod in as normal and when iTunes opened, it asked me if I'd like to update some software. I got most of the way through this when it told me that it couldn't update because it had encountered an error. So I unplugged my iPod and as soon as I did that, the 'connect to iTunes' screen came up. So I did reconnect the USB but the screen wouldn't disappear and iTunes wouldn't recognise my iPod.
So I Googled the possible causes and solutions and it turns out that a lot of people have had the same problems ith the recent update and most suggested that those with the problem should try to get it into restore mode by holding down both the home and sleep button to turn it off, then disconnecting and reconnecting the device and then restoring it via iTunes. I tried the first step of this, but once I had let go of the buttons after the ten seconds, the screen was still black and now it won't do anything. Although Itunes still won't recognise my iPod, my computer is still making the noise as if it is connecting and it makes the disconnect noise when I remove the charger. But still not a flicker from the screen.
I'm not brilliant with computers and so any solutions I have found online have been too complicated for me to follow. But I'm terrified that my iPod is now broken and I need to fix it a.s.a.p.
    Please help folks!!

  • White screen/black screen on ipod touch

I have the 'white screen' problem. I have tried to restore through itunes but ipod touch does not respond and the screen goes black. When I simultaneously hold the home and on/off buttons down, sometimes it responds, sometimes not. Very inconsistent results.

    Try:

  • Will uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes lose alll my iPod Touch data

My iPod touch 5 stopped responding.  I opened iTunes so I could restore it and got a message that  said I needed a newer version of iTunes.  I GOOFED and installed a new version instead of updating iTunes.  Now I can't open iTunes.  If I uninstall and reinstall iTunes will I lose all my data from my iPod?  Is ther a way to revert back to the older version of iTunes so I can then update the iTunes software?  I am using Windows XP on my computer.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
