Losing filters when deleting BIS account

Should the need arise, to delete and recreate a mail account within BIS, is there a way of backing up/restoring any filters associated with that account?
Or do they just get "lost"?... I In which case, any advice to delete/recreate a mail account for "xyz" problem is more of a workaround than a fix..
Thanks.

I think that filters are directly associated, on the BIS servers, with the integrated email account. Remove the integrated account and the filters go with it. There is no use-accessible backup/restore feature for BIS filters.
Good luck!

  • When deleting iCloud account, how can I save the photo's & other apps etc that are stored in iCloud?

I have recently changed my Apple ID as my email address has changed & also changed my password.
I posted a question yesterday about this & have since discovered from further searching here, that I need to delete and set up a new iCloud account as my iPad keeps asking me to login in with my Apple ID showing my old email address (& doesn't accept old (or new) password). Also, naturally, I can't back up with iCloud.
When I go to delete iCloud account a message appears that my photo stream (& presumably other stored apps etc?) will be deleted/ lost from my iPad too. I currently have no access to any other computer (when return home I have a windows lap top only). I am therefore very reluctant to delete my account in fear of loosing my photo's in particular.
Can any one help with the above please? Would all my stored data (phot's, apps etc) actually be deleted from my iPad when deleting my iCloud account? If so how else can I save (later restore?) my iCloud stored data?
    Man thanks,
    NJohnR

I do appreciate your, obviously experienced, help.
When I went to change my details in the mail settings as you suggested, I was unable to do so. Yes- I could & did add my new email details that I changed to in my Apple ID. however I was unable to change the primary email & therefore iCloud still wouldn't recognise my new Apple ID & kept asking for my details under my old/ original email address.
Though I did search further after this in the iCloud web site & found further very similar questions to mine where users were successful by deleting the iCloud account.
So I went ahead & did this. As soon as I had deleted the account it asked me to login to iCloud with my new email address in my Apple ID which worked fine - & I have also retained all my data.
Again, I appreciate your help & time you spent in reading and answering my need for help.
    All the best,
    NJohnR

  • Warning when deleting flickr account

I want to cease use of Aperture 3's flickr integration.
    Currently running Aperture 3.1.2.
I have already disabled Aperture on the flickr web site.
When I go to delete the account from Aperture->Preferences/Web, I get a warning:
Are you sure you want to remove "<flickr account name>" Flickr account? 83 albums will be removed from
"<Aperture Library Name>". They will still be available on Flickr. Items downloaded from Flickr that have not been imported will be moved to the Aperture trash unless you choose to import them"
I just would like to confirm this won't touch my "real" aperture library images per se, just delete the "Flickr" "albums" or whatever you would call them: the items at the bottom of the Library list under the "Flickr - ..." heading where each set has the little flickr icon (blue+pink circle).
    Regards,
    strathglass (Colin)

Thanks Bob ... you were right.
One trick: I had to start deleting from the bottom of the list, otherwise it would stall with an error after deleting the first flickr album in the list due to apparently automatically selecting another album in the list (didn't do that when I selected and then deleted the BOTTOM flickr album in the list).

  • IOS 7apple id verification when deleting iCloud account or linking new iCloud account to a device for find my iPhone

In iOS7 devices are activation locked when they are linked to an apple ID find my iphone. It seems that this will occur only once the apple id / find my iphone is enabled from iOS7 itself.
But, with the phone in hand, I was curious if changing the apple ID, either at the point of deleting the existing one within the iCloud settings tab, or at the point of turning on find my iPhone for the new account, are you also required then to verify the apple id that previously held the device?
I have a test phone about ready to set up so I can answer this question in testing. I am starting with it linked to my own apple ID find my iPhone. If someone already knows, feel free to chime in.

Since it hasn't been released yet, anyone who knows would not be able to comment as they're still bound by an NDA.

  • ALE problem when delete GL Account

    Dear Expert,
I have create ALE with 2 client in my system. When I try to create GL account in sender system, that GL account also created in receiver system.
When I tried to delete it from sender system, that GL account still exist in receiver system but have flag "mark for deletion".
    I use message type GLMAST.
    Regards,
    MAL

    Hi MAL,
AELE does not move the deletion. You need to delete the GL Accounts manually in all the received systems. One thing you can do before deletion is to block the the account for posting, ALE it and then delete.
    Regards.

  • Deleting an account and related information

When deleting an account does all the related information get deleted?
Does the account also get deleted from historical analysis?
    Edited by: user643040 on Jan 20, 2011 9:16 AM

When an account is deleted the associated Opportunity is deleted (except for opportunities that are Closed/Won or Closed/Closed), the associated Asset is deleted (if it is not associated with another object), the associated Task or Appointment is deleted (if it is not associated with another object). Contacts and Service Requests are not deleted. Also, the account is deleted from historical analysis at the next ETL.

  • Recovery of deleted mail account

I accidently deleted a Mail account in the Mail application. As a result I have "lost" all the emails associated with that account.
Is there an easy way to recover those emails if I know the name of the folder that held those files? And if I don't know the name?
    Thanks
    Harry

Before deleting an email account in Jaguar or Panther Mail, the following warning message is provided (the warning message with Tiger Mail is slightly different):
Are you sure you want to remove the account “XXXXXXXXX”?
This will erase all mailboxes for this account, but will not affect any messages stored on your mail server.
This is sometimes ignored or not completely understood but is based on the Mail.app filing structure so now the long winded answer for the reason.
Many other email clients utilize a single large database file which is not dependent on individual account and associated mailbox filing.
When creating an account in Mail, an account named folder (named by the user name and incoming mail server for the account) is created in the Mail folder at Home > Library > Mail using the Finder. For POP type accounts, the following mailbox (mbox) files are created within the account named folder when the function is used by the account: INBOX.mbox, Drafts.mbox, Sent Messages.mbox, Deleted Messages.mbox and Junk.mbox (when Junk mail is set to automatic). The mbox files within the account named folder represent the account named mailboxes under In, Drafts, Sent, Trash and Junk (when Junk mail is set to automatic) in the Mail.app mailboxes drawer.
When deleting an account in Mail, the account named folder at Home > Library > Mail is deleted at that time and as the warning message indicates, the associated account mailboxes within the account named folder are also deleted. You must select OK after the warning message appears.
It would be preferable for the account named folder to be moved to the hard drive Trash can which requires an additional step to delete but this is not what occurs.
Your options are not very promising.
To have any hope of recovering your data, you need to immediately stop using your system and then purchase a copy of a recovery tool such as Tech Tool Pro (Micromat) or Data Rescue (Prosoft Engineering), both of which have data recovery tools. You can download a free trial version of Data Rescue from Prosoft Engineering's website. I've not used Data Rescue, but I've seen reports that it recovers files that the others cannot, so it might be your best hope. The chances generally aren't really good even so, but short of sending your drive to a data recovery service (expensive), such utilities are your only hope.
Note that the more you use your system before you attempt recovery, the more likely it is that the system will overwrite the sections of the drive where the data you want to recover is stored, rendering it unrecoverable by any means. You should therefore stop using the system completely until you get and try to use one of the file recovery tools.
This also emphasizes the importance of maintaining a regular backup of all important data.

  • I changed my Apple ID (new email address, same account), but when I try and use my iPad, it is asking me to sign out and delete the account, losing all data.  If I do this, will it all still be there on my new ID? Thanks.

I changed my Apple ID (new email address, same account), via the Apple website on my laptop, but when I try log into ITunes on my iPad, it still has the old ID.  It is greyed out, so I can't change it.  On researching further,  it seems I have to sign out of iTunes and sign back in using new address.  Ok so far, but when I do this, it asks if I want to delete the account and any data on the cloud.  If I do this, and sign in with changed ID, will all the data be there Or will it be lost?  Thanks for any advice.

Sounds like apps purchased from those accounts got synced to the iPod and it is asking to log into that account to update them.
    - Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
    - To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
What do yo see if yo go to the Updates Section of the App Store app?

  • Delete iCloud account without losing contacts on phone?

I have been using a long defunct email address as my apple id and would like to update to a new email address.  No data was ever synced to icloud - the only button on in the iphone account settings has been the "Find my iphone" button.  Can I safely delete this icloud account without losing the contacts, messages, etc on my phone? When I click delete, the message "deleting this account will remove its data from your iphone" appears.

Yes. After you pushed the button "Delete Account" you will be also asked, if you want to keep the data on your phone.

  • ICloud on my phone, and I want to delete his iCloud account, without losing all my data, including, my apps, contacts, calendar events, music. If I delete his account, will I still have everything saved from before?

My nephew set up his own iCloud account on my phone, and I want to delete his iCloud account, without losing all my data, including, my apps, contacts, calendar events, music. If I delete his account, will I still have everything saved from before deleting his account?? I don't want to lose a single thing...I'm afraid to delete his iCloud account, and risk losing EVERYTHING I have on my phone. Is there another way to save everything without the risk of losing everything from deleting his iCloud account?

Deleting the iCloud account from your phone only deletes the account and any data you are syncing with the account (that is, any data that is set to On in Settings>iCloud).  However, when you delete the account you are prompted about what to do with the iCloud data.  If you want to keep it on your phone, be sure to choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted.  Also, be sure to save any photo stream photos that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else before deleting the account.  To do this, open the photo stream album, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Deleting the account will not touch any other data on your phone (music, apps, etc.).

  • Reset or delete my BIS account

Can anyone help? Here is my story:
Over the weekend my email account was compromised so I changed the password.
Now I want to make that change in my BIS account but I can’t log in. I verified my password via the “forgot password” via PIN link on www.metropcs.blackberry.com, but I cannot find a way to recover and/or verify my user name.
I contacted customer service (*611), who connected me with technical support, but they said they could not reset my BIS account for security reasons. They referred me to the local corporate store, but when I got to the store they had no had no idea what I was talking about. They called customer service, and then they got connected to technical support and they were told that the technical support group could not help them.
The corporate store then referred me to a local authorized dealer/service center, who said only MetroPCS technical support can help (which they can’t or won’t do) so I have now gone full circle a couple of times.
Anyway, it may be best to simply delete my BIS user account and then I can go in and set it up again.
Anybody know how I can do that?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Very much a possibility...we've seen many cases where the next owner is receiving emails of the prior owner and cannot then set up their own BIS conduits. Hence, the KB that says what to do when buying or selling a previously owned BB:

  • How do I change icloud email when my apple ID has been updated to new email? Because of the update on apple ID, when I try to delete icloud account I have to put in the password, and it says username or password is invalid (because no longer apple ID).

How do I change icloud email when my apple ID has been updated to new email? When I try to delete icloud account (in settings-icloud-delete account) I have to put in the password for the apple ID of my old email address, which is no longer my apple ID, and it says username or password is invalid (I'm guessing because that is no longer my apple ID).

You will wait for the rest of your life. You need to fix it; no one else will. To turn off "Find my iPhone" and its associated Activation Lock you need the Apple ID and password that were used to turn it on. If you know the Apple ID you can contact Apple Account Security and have them reset the password (after you prove you are the rightful owner of that Apple ID). see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.
If you don't know the Apple ID the phone is permanently unusable.

Read the article from which the thread was posted, it clearly defines how to use multiple iDevices on a single computer.
Sharing an Apple ID is not an issue.
