Losing instance limit value

Hi,
I'm setting an instance limit of 10 against the 'All Folders' folder in BOE XI 3.1 by checking the 'Delete excess instances when there are more than N instances of an object' checkbox and setting the field value to 10. I then press the 'Update' button.
If I then view a sub folder I can see that this setting has been inherited and that the sub folder will only permit 10 instances. If I select another sub folder I note that the setting has been lost. If I check back to the 'All Folders' folder I note that it no longer has the setting enabled.
Is this something that I'm doing wrong? Am I expecting inheritance when it doesn't exist at this level? Am I using the feature incorrectly?
Cheers,
Mike

James,
I concur. I found that if i switched view to the history tab (any other tab would do) and back again t the Limits tab then the correct data would be shown.
I raised it with BusinessObjects and they say that they are able to reproduce the problem and have included a potential fix in Fix Pack 2.1 which is due for release towards the end of September.

Mike

  • Using Sql Result and Limit Value in Prompt OBIEE 11.1.1.5

    Dear Gurus,
    I have prompt hierarchy like this:
    Year
    Quarter
    Month
    Which are using limit value (Quarter depend on Year, Month depend on Quarter), but I have issue because appear null also in those prompt
    I have checked my database, view, repository there are not null.
    My questions is, how to remove null in prompt when sql result can't use together with limit value, I don't know how to remove it using column filter.
    NB:I already using presentation variable in sql result in order to remove null and using constraint, but it show nothing in prompt view unless we press apply button.
    So I don't use this
    Please help, kindly appreciated

    Hi,
    Can you edit your prompt here you can find show option then select SQL Result please modify statement like below.
    SELECT your column name FROM subject area where your column name is not null
    Go--> Edit your prompt--> Show--> Select Sql result---> change statement like above.
    Second way.
    Go to physical layer then double click your column name here you can find *"nullable"* option please check that.
    Go--> Physical Layer--> Extract table --> select your column name-->double click your column name--> here you can find option like Nullable please check it.
    Award points it is useful.

  • BAPI_PO_CHANGE does not change LIMIT value for service PO with ref to IDOC

    Hi,
    I am trying to change the limit values for both ACCTASSCAT (K) and item cat (D ie service PO) with ref to message type PORDCH IDOC type PORDCH02, the IDoc is getting posted but the PO is not getting updated ie LIMIT value is not getting change and returning msg "No data changed".
    Could you please provide the way to change LIMIT value.
    Regards,

    Are you really sure that your IT_SCH has the same fields like POITEM?
    the delivery date and statistical delivery date are located in the schedule tab in ME23N and stored in the schedule table EKET, not in EKPO where the PO item data is stored.
    I think you should assign your IT_SCH to POSCHEDULE

  • How to get the latest credit limit values per each customer in the report.

    Hi All,
    Can anybody give me an idea on how to get the latest credit limit values per each customer in the report.
    I have below requiremnt.
    I have cube which is having transactional data on document and customer level .and it also having master data info object in the cube which is credit management view having all the customer numbers .
    This credit management view is master data info object having credit limit key figure as attribute.These credit limit are per each customer.
    So we need these credit limits in the report as dynamic values .(I mean whatever be the current credit limit in the master data table for that paricular customer that should show up in the reporting).
    one more thing these credit limits should roll up correctly at the HTR level.
    One HTR having number of customers .
    for example HTR 100 can have customer number 200,300,400.
    Those 200,300,400 customer credit limits should roolup correctly at the HTR 100 level.
    Example below :
    Cube DATA :
    HTR Customer Doct number Credit managment view
    100 200 10001 200
    100 200 10002 200
    100 300 10004 300
    100 300 10005 300
    100 400 10006 400
    100 400 10007 400
    100 400 10008 400
    Master data tabel (P Table)(Credit managment view)
    Credit managment view Credit limits
    200 1000.00
    300 50000.00
    400 90000.00
    Please remeber :
    We can not make these credit limits as navigational becasue these are keyfigure attributes not characteristics.
    one more thing we can not make them as charatistics because we need use these credit limits to derive other calkculation. so it is not possibel to derive calculations on charactristics .

    Create a formula variable of type replacement path with reference as attibutes of Credit management view and choose your key figure credit limit,say zcredit.
    Now create a formula or CKF and use zcredit.
    This should display the credit limit in your report as normal key figure.
    I didnot get this part "one more thing these credit limits should roll up correctly at the HTR level.", may be the above will solve this too.Try it.
    Hope this helps.

  • Expected Value and Overall limit value usage.

    Hi Sap Gurus,
    if the frame work order we have these 2 field Expected value and overall limit field value to be filled,
    and the system allows Invoice (or GR) up to the maximum of the overall limit value. and only if the value entered crosses the overall limit value the system issues a Error Message ( which is agreeable)
    but the logical requirement is that, if the value crosses the Expected value limit the system should display a warning message, indicating that the value has crossed the expected value.
    is there any config or note to be applied to get this funtionality.
    Thanks and regards

    Hi,
    Please refer to the Online documentation:

                      -> Use of Value Limits (for Unplanned Services)
    Inside this documentation, it is stated that there is a variety of
    limits (combinations) to be used:-
    - Overall limit only
      - Overall limit and limit on services covered by contract item(s)
      - Overall limit, limit on services covered by contract item(s),
      - and other limit
      - Overall limit and other limit
      - Overall limit on services from model specifications or standard
        service catalog
      - Expected value
    The expected value is used in the update of the
    PO item value and this is the value used in the release strategy.
    Here is the f1 help:
    Expected value - ESUH-COMMITMENT
    Value that the unplanned services (or the materials) covered by this

    Use
    If you are working with the release (approval) procedure for purchasing
    documents, this value serves as the basis for a release strategy applied
    to this document.
    If you tick 'No limit',you don't need to enter 'Overall limit',but must
    enter 'Expected value'.Because 'Expected value' will affect the release
    strategy. Please read the note 440601 connected to this.
    Concerning the variability of actual cost of a purchase order,
    expected value means that the unplanned services (or materials)
    covered by this item are not EXPECTED to exceed.
    It is not mandatory that it has the same value like total limit value.
    Expected value can exceed, it is used for comparison with total limit
    value in cost control.
    Expected value can also be combined with unlimited total limit in a
    purchasing document.

  • Threshold limit value for the mic?

    Hello community,
    I have a nice setting for my microphone on adobe audition 6. But I have one big problem.
    How can I setup a threshold limit value for the microphone voice? The issue is, that I have all my ambient noises on the recording, so I need a "minimum" activation line. (the same as the "speech activation" in teamspeak 3). There must be a limit and noises under this limit have to be ignored/not recorded.
    I hope you know what I mean.
    Thanks in advance for any help and best greetings from Germany.
    Merciless

    Hallo Merciless
    because you mentioned "greetings from Germany" I'll now switch language, hope you understand German too.

  • Best way to configure redelivery limit value for a Queue

    Hello,
    My doubt is related to configuring the JMS Redelivery Limit property from Weblogic 9.2 Server.
    We must support redelivery attempts in our queue, with a redelivery delay of 30s. So, we have set the queue's Redelivery Limit property to -1, via Console Configuration:
    Settings for My_DQueue -> Delivery Failure -> Redelivery Limit = -1
    The consumer of that queue is a MDBBean, which extends org.springframework.ejb.support.AbstractJmsMessageDrivenBean.
    The producers to that queue are weblogic.jms.extensions.WLMessageProducer.
    That queue has an error queue configured as Error Destination.
    Then, the WLMessageProducer is the one who specifies that value:
    WLMessageProducer messageProducer = (WLMessageProducer)queueSession.createProducer(queue);
    messageProducer.setRedeliveryLimit(5);However, we will not be able to ensure that all message producers pointing that queue will specifiy that redelivery limit. This may lead us to problems, as default queue Redelivery Limit is set to -1, and messages without specified redelivery limit would be redelivered indefinitely.
    I'd like to know if there is any way to specify a MAXIMUM redelivery limit value for a JMS queue. For example: fixing that limit to 10. If producers specify by themselves a redelivery limit lower than such value, that limit is applied to messages. Otherwise, the configured default limit value is used.
    Another option we have considered is to include, in the MDB's onMessage() method, a validation of the "JMS_BEA_RedeliveryLimit" message property:
    This validation would check whether no redelivery limit is configured in the Producer, and would forward such messages directly to the error queue, from the MDB, when the "JMSXDeliveryCount" outnumbers our fixed value:
    public void onMessage(Message message) {
       try {
          if(message.getIntProperty("JMS_BEA_RedeliveryLimit")<0){
             //MESSAGE FOUND WITHOUT REDELIVERY LIMIT SPECIFIED BY PRODUCER.
             //POTENTIAL DANGER OF BEING REDELIVERED INDEFINETELY
             int deliveryCount = message.getIntProperty("JMSXDeliveryCount");
             if(deliveryCount>10){
                 //CAN I FORWARD MESSAGE TO ERROR DESTINATION?But we were not able to found such examples to achieve this
    Thanks in advance!
    Joan Esteve

    Hi Joan,
    I just double-checked, and as far as I can tell the options for setting a redelivery limit include programmatically on the Producer or by configuring an override on the Destination. Unfortunately, you need the override to only take effect if the delivery limit hasn't already been set. (If we had a default deliverylimit configurable on our connection factory, this would have done the trick.)
    I think you've already hit upon the solution: your consumers can check each received message's JMSXDeliveryCount and act accordingly. It's fine for a consumer to use the JMS_BEA_RedeliveryLimit property see if the Limit has been set by a producer, and then check JMSXDeliveryCount to check the delivery count, but I'm not sure if the JMS_BEA_RedeliveryLimit property is set in older versions (8.1 may not have it for example).
    As a refinement, you may want to use the WLMessageProducer forward() API. This is an alternative to send() that preserves the message-id and timestamp of a consumed message. I don't think forward() allows any modification of the consumed message before it's forwarded.
    Hope this helps,
    Tom

  • Release PO against contract whit limit value for USER

    Dear colleague,
    We work SRM server 5.5 . SP14 extended classic scenario, and we use contract management.
    We need to release PO against contract and we want to LIMIT the users that PO value have  to be between 60 USD as minimum order value and 120 USD as maximum order value.
    We know that solution for the minimum order value is to use the u2018minimum order valueu2019 in the contract item with the value 60.
    Can someone help with the solution to limit user to maximum order value against contract.
    Thanks
    B.R.
    Gil shinar

    One option is that you could implement the maximum value logic in BADI BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI and give out proper error message if the user enters value outside of the range.

  • Budget check against overall limit value

    Hi,
    When i create a service activity in a project , a PR is created in the background. In this service activity under "limits" tabs, i enter the value of "overall limit"and "expected value".
    Now, whenever the project budget is defined/maintained,the system checks the summation of the expected value against the released budget and gives the commitment error in PS and budget exceeded error in PR/PO respectively
    My client has a requirement that the system should check the "overall limit" instead of "expected value" against the budget and accordingly give the error message.
    Is this possible? I tried searching on these forums but didn't find anything. I am new to PS and any inputs to meet the above requirement will be highly appreciated.
    Please suggest how can this requirement be met?
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Dhwni

    Hi Dhwni Patil,
    We have exactly the same requirement than you. In fact we entered some months ago a service desk for this. SAP answered us that there is no way by standard the system works base on the expected value.
    Did you finally find a way to met the requirement?
    Thanks in adavance and Regards

  • Change Workflow-Instance-Container values

    Hi Experts,
    I would like to ask you how to change a value in a container of a Workflow-"Instance".
    For e.g.:
    I have a workflow-instance which contains a (bor-) Object "Switchdocument". This switchdocument contains also a (Bor-) Object "serviceprovider". And I would like to change the value of the parameter of "serviceprovider".
    How is the relationship between the "father"-object and the "child"-object and where are the relationship saved?
    I know the table "sww_cont" and "sww_contob". But these tables are not enough, aren't?
    Because in the mentioned tables (sww_cont) I see the elements with their values of the container of the workflow-instance. I don't the elements with their values of the object (father-object) contained in the workflow-instance-container and also not the elements with their values of the object (child-object) in the father-object.
    or (explanation as a list)
    Workflow-Instance-Container:
    1.element
    2.element
    3. Switchdocument (object)  (father-object)
    3.1 element of switchdocument
    3.2 .....
    3.3 Serviceprovider (object) (child-object)
    3.3.1 element of serviceprovider  <--- here I would like to change the value
    I hope I explained the situation in a detail way
    I apologize if I don't use the right terms!
    If anyone has a hint or a way to get to the "child-object" I would be very thankfull.
    Thanks a lot for your answers in advance!!!
    with lovely regards.

    Hi all,
    at first I thank you all for your answers!!!
    As I understand the values are permanently saved in the subobjects. Like I said the subobject (Distributor) with the attribute, e.g. Serviceprovider in Own System = 'X' is contained in the Object Switchdocument.
    That means for me that I have to retrieve the attribute of the subobject via a method for the special instance and change it, e.g. to set it blank.
    I have forgotten to say that I am developing a report (se38) to change all attributes of workflow-instances with object/subobject.
    As I said above in a condition step it is asked whether a "serviceprovider is in own system". if yes (means = "X") then the process has another way. And I have to change the "X" to "blank", so the workflow goes always the, in my case, second way.
    For the next time, I will explain my problem in a more detail way
    Thanks again.
    with kind regards!

  • Object Level and Folder Level Instances Limit on R3?

    Hi there,
    We've been thinking about setting a global limit on instances of 35, but were wondering if we can apply a limit of 50 only on certain reports?
    This is only for reports where the business has justified that they will need to go over that.
    Basically, will object level limits override folder level or even global level limits?
    Many thanks,
    Nawar

    It will override Global level limits.
    Create a User and apply limits to that particular User , so that where ever that user ran a report that limits the instances according to user limit.
    Thanks,
    Anil

  • WSDL Published to Managed Instances (Changes Values)

    It appears that when you create a WSDL resource within ALSB, the WSDL that is viewable through the managed instance is different from the WSDL that exists on the ALSB. For instance, when I register a WSDL with the following port:
    <s0:service name="foo-service">
    <s0:port binding="s1:fooSoapBinding" name="foo-port">
    <s2:address location="http://localhost:7001/foo"/> </s0:port>
    </s0:service>
    The managed instance has a modified version that contains the managed servers name and specific port as well as the endpoint URI that I configured (endpoint URI - /foo/service/V1):
    <s0:service name="foo-service">
    <s0:port binding="s1:fooSoapBinding" name="foo-port">
    <s2:address location="http://esb-foo:8100/foo/service/V1"/> </s0:port>
    </s0:service>
    Is this true that the managed instance gets a modified version of the WSDL?
    The other weird thing about this, is that if you attach the Proxy Service to a Binding instead of a Port, then there is multiple renamings that happen. When I do that, my service definition on the managed server changes to this:
    <s0:service name="foo-serviceSoapBindingQSService">
    <s0:port binding="s1:fooSoapBinding" name="foo-portSoapBindingQSPort">
         <s2:address location="http://esb-foo:8100/foo/service/V1"/>
    </s0:port>
    </s0:service>

  • Passing a query-limit-value to a Computed-Column on the Results Page

    Hello All,
    Is it possible to use a user-selected variable-limit (filter), and pass it to an IF statement in a Computed-Column in a Results Screen.
    Example:
    I have a Computed Column in a Results screen which uses the following logic:
    if ( Accounting_Period == "2" && Ledger == "ACTUALS" ) {Year_to_Date_Actuals} else (0)
    Instead of [Accounting_Period == "2"], I would like to set Accounting_Period == <variable_query_limit>
    How would one do this?
    Thanks!
    smg

    if not using a dashboard you may want to look at the OnPostProcess event and put script there to collect the selected value of the limit and modify the computed column of the results section.
    strongly recommend you review documentation
