Losing MBB connection through USB

Since I have owned this iMac I have had all kinds of problems with USB connectivity. I initially couldn't get USB printers to be recognized and I have ALWAYS had problems with my Mobile BroadBand devices staying connected. Had it to the local Apple store multiple times and all they did was wipe the hard drive a couple of times and reload software. I eventually had to replace the 1TB hard drive BEFORE Apple came out with a recall. Thanks, Apple. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, you might get reimbursed for the HDD replacement if Apple did it.
On the USB problem, not quite sure, but...
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.

I am trying to retrive data from an instrument through serial port as well as USB,
My vi works smoothly while connecting through serial port.
But when i try to connect through USB Error code-1073807298
is coming. This error comes when visa try to write to the instrument.
From visa configure serial port.vi no error is coming.
Can someone suggest a method to solve this problem...

I get exactly the same error code with a TCP raw socket connection, the weirdest thing is that I actually can read the result of the query. I fixed the problem reading one byte at a time but this is very inefficient (it uses a while loop) and I still get warnings, so I'd like to know if there is a way to fix this or if there is an equivalent of the "Serial Settings: Number of Bytes at Serial Port" for VISA TCP connections....

There are a number of posts related to copying issues between Windows Vista / 7 and AirPort Disks. Two potential solutions being forwarded are: 1) Changing the LAN Manager authentication level, and/or 2) Disabling the Windows Search feature.
To change the LAN Manager authentication level:
From the Windows Vista / 7 desktop, click Start
Search for: security
Click 'Local Security Policy'
Goto Local Policies > Security Options
Under Policy, double-click 'Network security: LAN Manager authentication level'
Change level to: Send LM & NTLM responses
Under Policy, double-click 'Network security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP based (including RPC) clients'
De-select 'Require 128-bit encryption'
Click OK
To disable Windows Search:
Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features
On the right-hand side, click "Turn Windows features on/off"
Scroll down, and de-select "Windows Search".
Press OK, close all windows and restart.
A third "solution," that has worked for me, is verify that both the AirPort base station and the Win7 PC are using the exact same Workgroup Name. In my case, I use "WORKGROUP" (without the quote marks) for this name. From the AirPort Utility, you would enter this value on the Disks > File Sharing tab. On Win7, Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System > Change Settings > Change > Workgroup

That is probably a lot of stuff you do not want on your iPhone. So this can be handled a few different was. For you current situation, you can delete the apps directly on your iPhone by holding on the app until it starts to jiggle and then tap on the X of all the apps that you do not want. The second thing you can do is before you sync with iTunes, look at the app section on your iPhone to know what gets transfer to it and you can deselect items that you do not want. Lastly, if you download content on your iPad and it is a universal app, you can actually download it directly to your iPhone by looking at your past purchases and download it directly from the App Store. You may have to force your iPad into recovery mode in order to restore the device since the update did not complete. This article explains how to do that.

Mic Connected through USB adapter gives High pitch voice in playback

My mic is connected through a usb adapter but when i play my track back in Garage ban after recording I get this high pitch fast chipmunk voice.
And My mic works fine with quicktime audio recording or other audio recording software.

most likely the sample rate of your audio interface is too low, it must be set to 44100 in Audio MIDI Setup utility.

Ipod only charges for a few seconds when connected through USB

Hello. Thank you for reading. I recently got a replacement ipod. No problem with putting songs back on the new one. However, whenever i plug my ipod into the usb cord on my work computer to charge my ipod, the do not disconnect will come on and the ipod will charge for about 20 seconds and then stop charging and go back to the main menu on my ipod. The only way i can get it to continue to charge is to click on update my ipod on itunes, and that ain't fun. Help smarter ipod users, you are my only hope!

Nikon D90 and ipad connection through USB

i can't get the nikon d90 to speak to my ipad through the camera connection kit.
-hardware works, i can connect my phone through the jack
-i've had luck with the SD card connector in the past, but it's sadly been misplaced
-my USB to USB mini cable works to power my ihome speaker
-when the cable is connected to both the ipad and the camera the playback menu on the camera greys out.
-i've gone through the standard connect/reboot/wait thirty seconds troubleshooting with no luck.

I am overseas and really want to get my photos onto my ipad for posting. i'm wondering if i'm making a really stupid error, and hoping that I am before I go out and buy a new camera connection for the SD reader, or replace the cable.

Unfortunately I'm overseas so I can't try it out on my computer. (part of what's really frustrating is that I should have tried it out before I left home)
The camera recognizes that it's connected to something, in that the menu greys out whenever it is connected to the ipad, but that's all that I can see so far.

Flash drive only mounts when connected through USB hub

I have a PNY 32gb USB 2.0 flash drive, when trying to connect the drive directly to my Mid 2012 MBP (specs attached) the drive never mounts, doesn't list in diskutil as an unmounted drive either, however when I plug the drive into a Micro Innovations USB Hub (old ~ 2002) the drive mounts (albeit slowly).
On my iMac (Mid 2010 I7) the drive works perfectly in the machine or through Apple USB Keyboard.
Any help?

Is that the only USB drive that doesn't work with your MBP ?

Airport Extreme issue connecting through usb to freeagent external hdd

I have a brand new 15"MacBook Pro and am using an Airport Extreme for wireless internet throughout my house. That part of the system seems to work fine. My problem is that I want to connect both my printer and FreeAgent hdd to be accesses through my wireless network. When I plug in a 4 port hub everything seems fine (green light). When I plug in the Free Agent hdd the light immediately turns to blinking amber. In airport utility the hdd does not show up but I get a message which says "disk needs repair". If I plug the hdd directly into my MacBook I can can see it, read from it and write to it fine. I can't find anything that indicates that the hdd wouldn't be compatible with the Airport Extreme. Help!

You can access the AirPort Disk via normal file-sharing connection options, such as selecting the server from any Finder window’s sidebar in the Shared section. AirPort Disk uses two standard methods: AFP (for Macs) and Samba (for Windows or Linux).
Leopard accesses AirPort Disks through the Finder, just like any other network volume. Open any Finder window, and look in the sidebar for a list of servers in the Shared section. You should find your AEBSn.
To mount an AirPort Disk volume, follow these steps:
1. Select the AEBSn in the Sharing section of the sidebar.
2. To connect as a Guest user, you need take no more steps; To use a named account, click the Connect As button in the upper right and enter your credentials.
3. Double click a volume that’s shown to mount it on your system.
For both Windows XP and Vista, open the network browser by double-clicking Network on the Desktop. The base station name should appear in the Network browser.

That is almost always because the phone was hacked to unlock it from the original carrier.

Palm network connection through USB cradle

Is there any possibility to set up a network connection with the MIDP for Palm (i have an m500) through the cradle?
I more or less just need a byte stream in and out and somehow am lost on the way. Could somebody please hint at what needs to be done on side of the client/server?

Yes, you may set up a PPP network connection between your Palm OS device and the PC through the cradle for HTTP network connection, see this URL for one method of setting up the PPP connection:

Error message when connecting through USB

"One of the devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it."
I've tried plugging it into several different ports and restarting my computer. I have the latest edition of iTunes on my PC. I was able to connect it to the computer at work and Windows was able to recognize it there. Any suggestions?

When i bought my iPhone and my iPad they both were on iOS 7.0.2 i updated them shortly after thinking the new iOS 7.0.4 was better. i see its not but they both worked great with iTunes before and after the update. This isnt making any sense but i wanna know is this a iTunes issue? or is it my phone and iPad??

This can sometimes be the result of a faulty/damaaged USB sync cable. Do you have another cable you could test it out with?
