Loss of Incoming or Outgoing Voice in calls after long texting sessions

I've seen alot of posts where other people are having this issue, and yes if I yank the battery out and reset the phone the problem goes away.  But that is a bandaid!!!. There must be something wrong in the operating system to have this issue.  I have not downloaded Texting apps or any of the other" supposed" causes, I am running the device vanilla as it was sold to me from Verizon 1.5 years ago, and I have had this problem since the on-set.  It would appear to be a memory leak that is allowing one program to step on another program... But hey,  one would think after so long, either Motorola, Google or Verizon would have addressed this issue.  Are there any real fixes, or is " Pull the Battery"  the only answer?  If so,, It's back to my Blackberry ( it never had these issues)

Any good news for my Disabled phone brothers?
Will iOS 5.1 resolve this freeeking bug issue?
What developers say? Apple had noticed the issue or just ignoring and tryng to be dumb as always?
Please let me know.

    I cant hear Voice during call after i upgrade 7.1 i use iPhone 4

    Hey there Goesdhar,
    It sounds like you are not getting sounds from your receiver on your phone. I recommend the troubleshooting from the followint article named:
    iPhone: Receiver and call audio quality issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5196
    Increase the volume during the call.
    Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver. If you're using a protective case or display film, remove it and try again.
    Make sure nothing is plugged into the headphone jack or the dock connector.
    Check the receiver opening to see if it is clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush.
    Try another location with better signal. If the audio issue happens only when on a call, it could be due to the location.
    If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or a car kit, try turning off Bluetooth on your device. Learn more about troubleshooting Bluetooth connections.
    Restart the iPhone.
    Make sure your device is up to date.
    If the issue is not resolved after restoring the iPhone software, contact Apple Support.
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • How to pass variables to a program called from long text of an error msg ?

    Hi,
    The aim is the following: in the long text of an error message, there should be a link; this link must call a program or a transaction and pass to this program or transaction the four variables of the error message. Is it possible to insert such a link with parameters in the long text of the error message ? If yes, what is the syntax for this ?
    (I searched in the forum and found the way to insert a link to a transaction, but I found nothing about parameters).

    Thank you for the answer.
    Unfortunately, this solution is not applicable in my case. I'm using the application log and the scenario is the following:
    - the user displays the application log in transaction SLG1
    - he sees a lot of error and succes messages
    - by dubble-clicking on these messages, he displays the long text of the messages
    - I want a link in these long texts to a transaction using the variables of the messages. I tried inserting a link to a transaction, and the transaction is well called, but with a breakpoint I checked variables SY-MSGV1 to MSGV4 and they are empty.

    Even when I call the the line the line rings but on the CME the extension plar does not start ringing.
    My country is PORTUGAL.
    Best Regards,
    Jose Carlos Silva

    Hi Jose,
    Firstly is this a UC-500 based CME? I am not aware of a 8.5 version for the UC-500 unless this is a pre-production release, as far as I am aware the UC-500 is only supported up to 8.1 at this stage.
    It would also be good if you could provide a copy of your running configuration (With sensitive data removed like usernames and or passwords and peoples names and numbers), this will help us in understanding the system configuration.
    It also seems that the system has not been configured with CCA as there are no identifying markers in the configuration you posted that would indicated this was a CCA build, which leads me to think that this is a CLI build right??
    I am personally not very ofay with the Portugal carrier setup so I best not post up a configuration of what the Voice-Port looks like as it might not be compatible with your local carrier, but I am curious as to why your FXO ports start at 0/0/0 typically on a UC-500 system they would start at 0/1/0 as the first 4 voice ports are normally reserved for FXS (Unless of course this is different for your region), which again makes me wonder if this is a UC-500 system or maybe an ISR (2800 series or above)??
    Please post up your configuration it will help out a tremendious amount.
    Cheers,
    David.

  • Calling long text in script

    Hi everyone,
    can any one say the function module used to call the long text in scripts.

    Hi
    You can use read_text function module
    Important thing to notice while using READ_TEXT is that
    TEXT-ID field needs to be properly created based on Order number, Item no, Slaes Org, Distribution channel etc.
    Most of the time You will find that Sales organization field is of 4 characters lenght, (Say 0001) in this case Since SAP discards first 3 zeroes of the number to blank spaces, you need to append zeroes to the final text-id field making it of required 20 characters key field (Say).
    Therefore, you need to take care of append zeroes, shift spaces, concatenate command, etc. which depends on your scenario.
    you have to check the following parameters
    ID: this textid
    language:language u maintained the text,this also important
    name: The no in which text-id is maintained
    Usually we make mistake here,the no is combination of purchase order no and item no.
    Example:420000210000010(Puchase orderno:4200002100 item no:00010)
    Object:it change based on the text-id so u can check it the document no.
    CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'
    EXPORTING
    id = p_var
    language = g_f_langu
    name = g_f_tdname
    object = g_f_obj
    TABLES
    lines = g_t_lines
    EXCEPTIONS
    id = 1
    language = 2
    name = 3
    not_found = 4
    object = 5
    reference_check = 6
    wrong_access_to_archive = 7
    OTHERS = 8.
    IF sy-subrc <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ENDIF.
    Hope this definitely help.
    Regards
    - Atul

  • How do you determine in the voice listing for the bill if the call is incoming or outgoing

    I have selected the "Calls, Messages, Data" tab and clicked on voice, but the detail does not indicate if I made the call or received it.  I tried clicking on "View Additional Call Detail" but all it does it make the screen go gray and does nothing.
    I get to and from information on messaging but not calls.   Am I looking in the wrong place.

        Hi rsm711!
    You pose a great question, and I'm happy to help. I checked online, and I see that the origination and termination of calls are not listed on vzw.com but if you click on the "View and Save Printable Bill" link, after clicking the "View Current Bill" link from the homepage, you can see whether the calls were incoming or outgoing.
    Once the bill pulls up, you will be able to view all of the call details for each line. You can save the bill to your PC from there, as well as print the bill (or a portion of it).
    I hope this helps, have a great day!

  • SIP trunk incoming and outgoing calls issue

    Hi Everyone,
    We recently installad a SIP trunk and terminated on CUBE and CUCM but we have issues on incoming and outgoing calls, When someone dial in from outside he keeps listening the dailing ring even after we pick up the phone and at the end the callers time exipres and call gets disconnected.
    For Dailing out, the dialed number rings and caller hear the dailing ring as well but if someone pick the phone it apprears that call is connected but no audio in it, dead air.
    Our call flow is as
    IP Phones => CUCM --->SIPTRUNK--->CUBE=>SIPTRUNK=>SP
    I have attached the config for CUBE and debug ccsip messages output for both incoming and outgoing calls.
    Please if some help in sorting out this issue, Thanks in Advance

    The reason you are experiencing this is that your CUBE is requesting PRACK and your provider is not responding to it..
    Here we have your cube sending 180 ringing with "Require 100rel"..This was sent several times and your ITSP didnt respond probably because they do not support 100rel...(It is Huwaei after all, they do what they like)

  • 3GS IPhone shuts off from incoming and outgoing calls 2 or 3 times a day

    3GS IPhone shuts off from incoming and outgoing calls 2 or 3 times a day. The phone stays on but I can't call out or receive calls till I turn the phone off and back on.

    I have the same problem with my 2 month old 3GS phone. It will shuts off from incoming and outgoing calls 2 - 3 times every day. I would miss important business calls. And will discover it only when I need to make a call. In this case screen looks normal. I choose contact, go to next screen - call in progress, it also looks normal, but there is no dial tone. Than I would restart the phone, and it will work again, displaying my missing calls, and angry voice messages of my customers, which trying to reach me. Please help us solve this problem (or maybe it is time to exchange my 3GS for a new one?)

  • I just bought this iPhone 4S second hand and during incoming and outgoing calls I can't hear the other person talk unless it's on speaker or if I have headphones in. I don't know what to do I've turned up my volume and checked my settings!! Need help

    I Just bought a second hand iPhone 4S I am having issues with the hearing during incoming and outgoing calls, I have turned the volume up and checked my settings but I still have trouble hearing the other person speak. It works if it's on speaker or if I have headphones plugged in. I need help desperately!!!!! Any suggestions on what to do???

    Hey Itsanaasaunders,
    Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues hearing sound while on a call (receiver wise, not speakerphone). The following resource provides troubleshooting steps for this symptom:
    If you can't hear a person on a call or voicemail or if the sound quality is poor on iPhone - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203800
    Clear the receiver
    The iPhone receiver won't work properly if it's blocked or dirty. Here's where the receiver is:
    Follow these steps, testing after each:
    - Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver, such as a case or film.
    If you have a new iPhone, remove the plastic film on the front and back of the device.
    - Check the receiver opening to see if it's blocked or dirty. If necessary, clean the receiver opening with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush.
    - While you're on a call, turn on speakerphone. If you still can't hear, then your network or reception could be the issue. Try calling again later or from a different location.
    Restart and update
    1. Restart your iPhone and test again.
    2. If there's still no sound or poor sound quality, update to the latest version of iOS.

    If you've tried these steps and there's still no sound or poor sound quality from your iPhone, contact Apple Support.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.
