Loss of Right click scissors in arrange window

When editing regions in the Arrange window I prefer to have the standard mouse arrow-head pointer selected. I recently discovered that a right click on the wheel mouse switches to scissor action for cutting regions. I was delighted to discover this as the speed and ease of editing was immediately improved.
I don't recall changing anything on my system, but since the Christmas break I discover that useful facility has just disappeared !
Can anyone help please.

You can have 3 tools assigned to your mouse:
1. left click
2. ctrl + left click
3. right click
To assign them simply click on the tool with the appropriate mouse key.
In your case, right click on the scissor.

which came with the pavilion g6-2231tx model of hp.

I understand that after updating to Windows 8.1, you are experiencing a difficulty with the right click on your mouse.
Have you done all your Windows updates?

Windows 8 also has a built in troubleshooter you can utilize.
Press the Windows key +C to open charms.
Type troubleshoot mouse in the search bar and press enter

How can I perform a right-click in boodcamp using Windows 7 Ultimate?

Have not been able to perform a right click in Windows 7 using bootcamp. Any solution? Have tried many combinations of fingers and keys to no avail.

Use the BootCamp control panel to set trackpad preferences.

My Firefox 8 Menu button doesn't work and neither does the right click in the firefox window

It seems that all the drop down buttons in the browser, including the bookmarks dropdown menu in the toolbar and the main menu button (firefox button), no longer work. This happened after i upgraded to firefox 8. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times while also deleting user preferences and stuff but that doesnt work. But everything seems to work in safe mode properly. So i disabled all my addons in the normal mode but it still doesn't solve the problem. My right-click doesnt work anywhere in the browser window either. And also, although the menus are not showing, it seems that they are still there because if i click in the area that a button would be in the function activates, this is how i was able to disable the addons.

Perhaps, it's a multi-monitor setup issue. I noticed that the problem happens on my right monitor, but it doesn't happen on my left monitor! I have an nvidia card.

110W: Right Click not Working on Windows 8 RTM Metro Desktop

Hi, I upgraded to Windows 8, but the right click using the touchscreen is not working in the Metro desktop. Right click through the touchscreen is working in normal applications. Right click in Metro desktop is working when I use regular mouse. Any ideas? Thanks!

Just to clarify a bit - by right click in Metro I mean pressing and holding a tile.
After playing around it seems that this is a driver issue coming from the HID. Anyone having Windows 8 working properly? Anyone knowing the model of the monitor, maybe there is a better driver around (or at east better than the Generic one coming with Windows 8)?
Maybe MSI can help, do you know how to contact online technical support? My country is not supported and I got lost in their systems.

Disable Right Click on Pop Up window

Does anyone know how I can disable the right click on a pop up window? Its an art site and the artists want their stuff protected even minimally. Heres my pop up code what do I need to add?

That may work but it doesn't stop the person going to the file menu and clicking save so pointless really, you would be better off loading a dynamic php page with the image name in the query string.

Right Click used to open window with "create..." new version in it

I used to be able to set the "import setting" in preferences and then just right click to change any selection to that new version. Now the setting change is no longer available when I right click on a selected file.

When i right click it shows the window in the tab instead of the options

CS6: Right Click - "Move to New Window"

When moving a new file to a new window, I don't like how they take up a whole screen.
Can that get patched to they way it was in CS5/CS5.5?
And maybe make a session manager out of it.
I am known to have a few sites open at the same time, and each website is in a new MDIChild.
I don't mind the Window menu having a list of my files open, but there is a limit for me.
A session manager is named from the folder it is in, like:
<user>/websites/facebook/
<user>/websites/wikipedia/
Then instead of having:
home.php
friends.php
index.html
en_alpha.html
^^^ That was all the Windows menu
Make it:
facebok > home.php
index.php
wikipedia > index.html
en_alpha.html

I find I have the blank windows open only when "cool previews" is enabled. I would like to be able to use both features.

Lenovo Flex 2 14#: Two-finger-tap (right click) not working on windows 10

On my new Lenovo Flex 2 (AMD A8) i have upgraded to win 10 but i cant get the two-finger-tap to work. It dint work in 8.1 either. I can scroll in browser with two fingers. In the synaptics software the feature is activated but i doesent work. I have read some of the other threads about fixing the problem in win 8.1 but the registry files doesent have the same structure/names on my win 10. What to do?

I am having the same problem... It's very irritating to have to two finger click all the time.

Right Click in Windows Vista (Bootcamp)

the two finger tapping works GREAT in OSX, but can I do something similar while running vista?
The two finger gesturing seems to work nice for scrolling, what about the right click?
Or Is there atleast a 3rd party program that will allow me to map the right click button to something on the keyboard? I only need it for certain applications that require right click functions.
Also im aware a external mouse is a very good option, but i'm mostly concerned about portability and I dont like the idea of bringing a mouse with me.

I just found the double finger + Mouse Click function works as right click
however id still like to know if anyone knows of a good right click mapping application (for Windows)

Reader 9.1.3 Right click context menu

Good Morning,
We have deployed the Acrobat Reader 9.1.3 MSP Patch on our network to upgrade to the latest version. However, after the upgrade we are missing some functionality. In previous versions we were able to right click on a PDF(s) and have the option to "Print". With the new version those context menus seem to be missing. Was this a change done by the product? If so, anyone know why? And if not, does anyone know what I can do about re-adding this functionality?

I put the following into a .reg file and this seems to work. Anything you see that could be wrong? It does bring back the "Print" option under the right click context menu.

Image won't open after right click and "open with" command using Editor PSE 10

Can't see image after right click and "open with" Windows XP command using Editor PSE 10. The editor opens but no image appears. I have to use the open command from within Editor

Make sure you have chosen the application PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe and not a shortcut.
To manually associate a file format with an application:
In Windows Explorer, right-click a file whose file association you want to change. For example, if you want to change the file association for all jpeg files, click a jpeg file.
Choose Open With > Choose Program from the pop-up menu.
In the Open With dialog box, click Browse and then locate and select the exe application file.
Checkmark "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" and click OK.
Note:If you choose a program from the Open With menu in step 2, instead of selecting the Choose Program option, this check box is not available, and the file association won't work.

Explorer hang & right click hour glass

Windows SErver 2012 R2 terminal server. All clients having the same issue. When right clicking an icon on the desktop to bring up menu (cut, copy, paste, etc.) or right clicking from Explorer the system goes to an hour glass. I have downloaded and ran
the Microsoft scanning tool and nothing was found on the server.

Start Windows in Safe Mode and see if the problem persists.
Problems when right-clicking an element in Windows Explorer are often caused by faulty context menu handlers.
You can get ShellExView to see which shell extensions are installed and disable them one by one to find the culrpit:

Also try running a Anti-Virus scan on the system and see if you can find something.
