Loss of Voice Navigation and unable to calculate r...

I have had a Nokia N78 for just over a week now. All worked well until I went to download maps with the Nokia Map loader . Since that time I have no Voice instructions when travelling. They are still on the memory card under Cities-English_female but when travelling I get no voice. Also when setting a route once GPS is activated it gets stuck on Calculating a route. When driving the GPS maps shows me travelling though. Any idea what I have to do to reactivate the Voice commands?

Well done. You were thinking ahead.
Now in Cities you will see a subfolder called English. Copy the female voice file back to this folder which should now also contain a file called English_male and another called config.xml. Now if you saved the original config.xml file together with the english_female file then just copy them both back, overwriting the new config.xml with the old.
However if all you have is the english_female file then you will have to edit the config.xml file using notepad on your pc, making sure to replace the every word "male" with the word "female".
Make sure you save copies of everything to allow you to revert back to male voice if it fails.
Have to go out again. Will check back later but I am sure you will have it sorted.

N900 and Voice Navigation / New OVI Maps

s much as I love my N900 it is so frustrating to walk into a T-Mobile store here in the US and find that the simple Nokia Nuron has much newer version of Ovi Maps. While Nokia is busy launching voice navigation for the N97's and such, the N900 is left waiting in the wings. Does anyone have any news regarding when Nokia will again turn their gaze back to what is supposed to be their flagship device?

Not only does Nokia not support Ovi Map downloads on the N900...it also does not support Native Video calls and sending of photos/Video via MMS...sent a note to their support careline..and the reply below was what I received...:-(( This is NOKIA's FLAGSHIP product with 2 cameras and they do not support Video Calls....why launch a product with 2 cameras which does not do Video calls...Hope someone from NOKIA is reading this tread..don't launch products when it is NOT ready .... extreemely dissappointed...might have to consider other brands of phone for my next phone purchase.

Bluetooth Connection AND voice Navigation

I've bought a N82 and have succesfully paired it with the intergrated Bluetooth in my car (Audi A4). However although the phone works fine when the phone is connected to the car I lose the voice navigation. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to fix this as obviously its a bit of a pain without the voice prompts.

i had a problem with my sony bt radio also. i initailly only paired it as a phone, but once i paired it as an audio device as well i get nav through the car speakers

I have the same problem with Voice Navigation.
The route is displayed but will not go into navigation mode or give voice instructions.

Why hasn't Adobe navigation and user interface design improved as much as it could have over time?

I haven't tried CS6. I'm sure it's great based on what i've seen alone. But as a user of adobe products for a number of years, i have to noticed there are still a lot of stagnant,awkward, stiff, irriating, slowing down elements found in the navigation and user interface on cs3-cs5, that i'm sure could have been eliminated or improved on at least from 2005 or 2007 onwards. I find some of these things inexcusable and unprogressive from bad traits that defined 1980's and 1990's general computer navigation and so on.
CS5.5 has lessned this a bid bit and is more fluid in bits and pieces but for those using cs3-cs5 and in general, i find some things just horrid. As a graphic designer no one is supposed to admit the flaws or irrations of these programs. We must hail them as god, never critisize, and always adjust to new things which i think is a bit fascististic and silly
The way the tools, options are laid out can be improved to be quicker, and easier to find and use. Using your voice as a commanding system would be helpful as well.
A lot of cmds are too complex to remember, they can be simplier or resemble the name of the tool or option. Its makes a chore to follow this system and competition for the smart *** who memormized all the cmds.
The way in which you loose floating side boxes, and the amount of tools or names hidden in the bars sometimes seem random and its always a constant search to find them incase you forget where they are.
The inability to open cs4 or 5 files in cs3 is just beyond extremly annoying. Whey shouldn't you be able to open cs1 or 2 files or photoshop 9 files as well? Every five years work expires as well?
The layering system gets tricky and seems that a lot of things don't work when you normally move things. Its about going back, remembering and clicking on this or that, looking it up to make everything work. Sometimes which leaves you in a rut and wastes a good amount of time. You will always find this even after you've been using it for years.
The use of the fill paint/airbrushing, clone tool, lasso tool, pen tool, history being two steps back can be vastly improved to be much better to use
Masking and tools that have more complex features should find a way be automatically done or sampled. They can also have less complex steps and tha ability to be previewed, automatic or simpler ( in case you can't remember how to do something or aren't getting it)
A lot of the special effects, and blending modes are useless, outdated, super-ugly and don't resemble true darkroom effects ( such as polarization, and bas-relief for example) which they could much more vividly done. There also could be more options that are closer to repro cameras/CTP software for halftoning and more complex digital effects.
Having to press or get used to pressing muliple keys or clicks for the most basic things simultaneously can be reduced to be easier
Adjusting text, new documents, photos should have a smoother, quicker navigational experince where things a lot of room to be , clicked back, re-done, saved in the wrong place etc..
Indesign could use more shapes, include more features that illustrator has, and possibly even photoshop to save time.
There should be a way to remind you of features, complex things you've forgotten, other than history and daily usage/practice of the programs
The help should resemble more of "visual -learners" guide books with voice features.

Regarding other things:
I think the price encorages more piracy and allows people to not have a concept of what is means to owning software.
The loss of a manual or lessening of them for certain programs is a loss because it's always useful to physical info you can flip through while looking at your program.
I think adobe should make entirely better products for professionals or people in the industry rather than spoonfeeding the same software to all.
They should also make less expensive add-ons like before for graphic software.
What do you adobe could have improved over time and if so what do you think they could have improved on?

Voice navigation on iPhone 4s - sometimes.

I have an iPhone 4S and iOS 6.1.3 on AT&T. Navigation Voice Volume is set to Normal Volume
I get voice navigation SOMETIMES when using Maps. Sometimes I'll have voice navigation then suddenly in the middle of a trip it stops. Sometimes I don't have it and in the middle of the trip it suddenly starts. Any clues as to what is going on will be greatly appreciated.

Google Maps Navigation and Google Music problem

I love the LG G2 but it has a few concerning issues. First, is the squealling, hissing, cracking, popping, etc. during phone calls, but I have seen that brought up by others.
The second problem that I've discovered, and the most upsetting to me, is that when using the Google Maps Navigation and Google Music All Access at the same time, whenever the navigation voice instructs a direction, the music shuts off. It is then silent until the navigation voice instructs the next direction OR when a new track starts. This was not a problem on my droid bionic, so it must be an LG G2 issue. This is a huge problem to me as I travel a lot for work and usually use GPS to find where I'm going, and I subscribe to Google Music All Access so I listen to music in the car. This problem makes that impossible to do (I have to choose).
A related issue, is that my Alpine CD player displayed track information (Artist, Song, Album) with my Droid Bionic, but with the LG G2 it displays 'UNKNOWN'. I find it hard to believe that a two year old phone has capabilities that a brand new phone wouldn't, so I'm hoping these issues will be fixed with a software patch.
Has anybody else experienced these issues, or does it work fine with your LG G2?

Hawaii is a part of the USA so you will be fine there. Mexico on the other hand, you will be roaming for data there and could see extra charges for international data.

I had a similar occurrence with my just activated iPhone 4.
I had been using the phone for three days when an odd occurrence with voice mail caused me to call tech support. After some discussion they decided to push the activation to my phone (even though I had been using it for three days). When I went to power it back up again I repeatedly got the "no service" notification. I got tech support on a land line and we tried hard reboots and so on. No joy. They told me to take it in to the point of sale and either the SIM card or the phone needed (or both) needed replacing.
I tried one last hard reboot after dinner and the phone came up with service, but I took it in to the point of sale in the morning and they swapped the SIM card out and I went to a Genius Bar appointment to get the phone checked out. It is supposedly OK, but I am still having some problems when syncing it so I will have to visit the Genius Bar again tomorrow about that. At least I have not experienced the "no service" problem in the roughly 24 hours since the SIM card was replaced. (Fingers crossed)

Itunes not working and unable to re-install

Please help. I have owned my Nano for three days and have lost access to itunes. Story so far Day 1 set up disk installed and itunes working great. Upgraded software online and problems started and unable to open itunes.
Action taken:
1.Tried to re-install original software from disk but get error itunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing.
2. QuickTime also failed to initiate with error 2095 message make sure QTime properly installed.
3. Removed both itunes and Qtime through control panel and downloaded and used Windows installer clean up to confirm removal (files seemed to remain on computer?)
4. Installed stand alone Qtime which seems ok
5. Downloaded stand alone itunes but could not run error message: errors encountered whilst performing the operation.
6. As last resort tried to re-install from disk but get same message: itunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing.
I am at a loss. I am not computer literate and would really appreciate help. Please note I also disabled virus software whist trying to install.

Unable to calculate a request signature: Algorithm HmacSHA1 not available

I develop one javaFx application.
which upload the files on amazon s3 server.
The application work fine when the executable jar of the application is made.
But when the native packaging of the application is done. The .msi file is created and after installing this .msi the application started correctly but at the time of uploading file on s3 the "Unable to calculate a request signature: Algorithm HmacSHA1 not available" error occur in log file and files are not uploaded.
The creation of the jar and native application is done by the com.zenjava maven plugin.

Got the solution.After creating native bundle the bundle have its own private copy of jre this private jre does not contain "ext" folder which is present in regular jre.
This causes the problem of cryptography which is the reason for above problem.

Unable to calculate the price using the bapi BAPI_SALESDOCU_CREATEFROMDATA

the problem is that we are unable to calculate the price the amount column in the sales order is showing 00000 even though the condition has been taken from condition master.

Hi,
You need not pass the condition records for filling the pricing records in the sales order. The functional consultant will maintain all the necessary pricing procedure and the condition records and it will flow from there.
May the pricing procedure is not correctly defined for that particular soldto party in the system, once that is maitained then everything will flow correctly.

"Maps" app - voice navigation

Is there any rumor / voice / scream in witch the "map" app of the iphone will have also voice navigation? It's very updated and using it as car navigator so far, leads only to car crash (you hav always to tap the screen to prevent it locking and must concentrate on it to see where turn.

Because it provided the voice navigation you want, and does not require any connection to any data, wifi or cellular. Apples Map app needs to be able to constantly download the map data as you move around (which eats whatever data allowance you have).
