Lost a few windows

I mistakenly closed the viewer and the canvas window in FCP and now I can't reopen them because I can't find them. Whenever I open up FCP - the view is missing the viewer and the canvas. Where can I find them and open them again?
I am new to a Mac operating system.

just open any sequence unless you saved the sequence with out the timeline before you closed fce then just open a diff one basically the way you save something it will open the same way

You can't close the browser window. You can close the event library. Is that what you mean? Shift-Cmd-1 opens and closes the library. If something else is happening, post a screen shot of what you're seeing.

It may be as simple as going to Safari>View>Show Address Bar.
If that is not the solution you may want to try Safari>View>Customize Address Bar...>Drag your favorite item into the toolbar...(Address and Search)

All music links are lost after installing windows 7!!! HELP!!!
I upgraded my system to windows 7 ultimate from Vista and installed itunes 64px. but when I copy the old itunes folder into D://music and opened itunes, all my music cannot be played. each link shows the mp3 location as: file://localhost/D://music/itunes... ... I ve tried deleting library file and copy/past the original one again. doesn't work. what should I do now. It's 106 GB songs. I cannot locate them one by one nor lose all my ratings and play counts.
please help me!!!!!!!! >_<

Was that Win 7 update from Lenovo, or Microsoft? If Lenovo, it should have installed those missing features. If it was from Microsoft, you have to manually install the Lenovo drivers and software.
The easiest way to do that is to first install ThinkVantage System Update and run it. It should download and install the other drivers and apps. I'm running Win 7 pro 64 on my T400 - a MS upgrade clean install, then TVSU installed the Lenovo stuff. Everything works.
Use the "SUPPORT" button at the top of this page, then "Download drivers and software" enter T400, install TVSU and you should be off to the races.

No, but you can save a photo on FaceBook.
Try downloading/saving the video from FaceBook on your computer. If successful, after doing so you can transfer the video to your iPhone along with any photos on your computer or alone. They transfer won't be in the Camera Roll, it will be in your iPhone's Photo Library.

Even if you can't find the tracks on your hard drive there may a broken link somewhere in the iTunes library. Create a smart playlist that matches the track details to be certain. You should delete any broken entry from the music section of your iTunes library, close & then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unchecked. This seems to help prevent partial downloads...

Connection lost every few days

I've been using AirPort Extreme (actually AirMac Extreme, coz I bought it in Japan) for many months, during which course of time I had to try to reconnect for countless times. Connection is lost every few days. At first I tried everything, and opened AirPort Setup Utility again and again. I even called AppleCare. The guy on the phone told me to take the AirMac to the local repair center. But then I discovered that if only I either unplugged the Broadband modem or the AirMac for a few minutes, I could re-establish connection again. Is it normal for the AirMac to be unplugged every now and then so that I can be functional?

For most users - no - it is not normal to have to periodically unplug the Airport Express to re-establish a connection with the ISP. While it is possible this reflects a marginally defective Airport Base Station, there are some ISPs that routinely drop client connections to prevent people from maintaining a constant connection they aren't actually using.

Lost "Reopen all windows from last session"

Somehow, I lost the "Reopen all windows from last session" command from the History Menu in Safari 4.0.4. Tried deleting Safari and reinstalling, but no luck, so, it must be in one of the Library files, I guess. Any ideas on how I can recover this feature would be very much appreciated.

FYI, it's better to trouble shoot Safari rather than re-install the app.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.

Since you are running Snow Leopard, make sure Safari is running in 32-bit mode, not 64. Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. Also, (in that same window) *make sure Safari is NOT running in Rosetta.*
Relaunch Safari.
If nothing above helps, go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. If you can see: Remove All Windows From the Last Session, then that .plist file is corrupted and needs to be moved to the Trash.

How can i open a few windows or tabs side by side?

Hi firefox crew!
Okay, I know how to work the tab groups. But I'd like to be able to open a window(or tab) side by side with one or more others, as often I want to compare a couple sites/web pages. I really would rather be able to easily do this! So I'm wondering:
is there any way to, say, choose some setting or option/customize to have firefox automatically open a second window (or tab) as a half-window, whilst shrinking the first fullpage down to the other half of the screen (or window)?
And, even better would be if I could select a few tabs of my choosing at once (eg. by ctrl-clicking each one i want from among the tabs i have open along the tabs bar, say, A, C, E, and F out of all my 7 tabs A-G), and right-click to bring up a context menu, and from there select an option: "open tabs in a grid", and have that work to display (all four of) these tabs side by side.
(And, theoretically, each successive tab/window opened in this manner would effectively add to the grid, thereby shrinking each one proportionately.)
Any ideas on how to make this work? Much appreciated!

To tile open windows horizontally(side by side), if i right-click on an empty Taskbar area i can choose Tile Windows Horizontally (in Windows XP).
To tile windows vertically, i can right-click on an empty Taskbar area and click Tile Windows Vertically (in Windows XP) or Show Windows Stacked.

In a firefox recent update I lost all my windows and their tabs, all my bookmarks and their backups and all my internet history. Can I retrieve any of them?

Yesterday firefox did an automatic update/upgrade and when I started firefox up again it appears to be a new version and on checking I found it had cleared my windows with many tabs, my firefox internet history and most inportantly my bookmarks and all the past backups for them. How if possible do I get them back? A friend has suggested that I undo the update to the older firefox and they may come back, is this possible?

Lost iTunes with Windows update, now I can't sync iPod Touch

My computer recently updated windows and I lost iTunes and my music library. When I re-installed iTunes, I tried to sync my iPod but it's telling me that I am synced with another library and it wont let me transfer my music from my iPod to the music library. It will only let me transfer purchased music. Is there a way I can restore my old library or will I have to start fresh all over again? It will not let me sync my iPod with my daughters either whether home-sharing is on or not. I also tried home-sharing, it does nothing.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use your backup copy to put verything back.

A Few Windows 7 Questions

Hello, and thanks for taking the time.
I'm looking forward to Apple's official support of Windows 7, and need a bit of help with a few questions I have.
1) My Macbook Pro was purchased before Snow Leopard was released, and then upgraded to Snow Leopard from a 29 dollar retail disk. Will I need my Leopard discs to install the Windows drivers, or the Snow Leopard disc? And, if Leopard, WHICH disk?
2) Can I resize a partition after it has been partitioned via Boot Camp?
3) Can I use Boot Camp to partition an external hard drive and install Windows 7 (when supported) on THAT partition?

Just an FYI for you.
It is always best to check with the software manufacturer FIRST. They will tell you if they have tested the product and the version, as well as whether or not it will work with Windows 7.

In any event a lot of the times, Vista drivers will work in lieu of Windows 7 drivers, however, it's not 100%!
I will tell you from first hand experience, all of my systems have been converted to Windows 7. I am not just saying it to say because I am affiliated with Microsoft. I can truly stand behind this product and tell you straight
away it works very reliably, fast and extremely stable. The 64bit version is a real powerhouse as well.
Anyways, what to say about Windows 7?
