Hi and Welcome!
Depending on how you did the update, it may have created, on your PC, a backup file. If you did the update via USB tether on your PC (e.g., not OTA), then search your hard drive for a file with an ipd extension (*.ipd). Inspect the results (date/time of the file) and then choose one to use in the restore. Then, launch the DTM software and conduct a selective restore:
KB10339 How to restore data from a backup file to the BlackBerry smartphone
If you updated OTA or skipped the desktop backup during the update, then I am sorry for your loss, but there's nothing to be done.
Best.

  • Lost all calenders when updating software

    Hi,
Being an utter simpleton I managed to lose all my info from ical when I had a problem with another peice of software.
I had to bin my libary and with it all my preferences. I have salvaged some info from the old libary but can't work out where all my ical info is? If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.

    Cia363,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Calendars will be stored in the Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/iCal/Sources Folder. This folder contains as many sub folders as you have calendars. The sub folders will be named with obtuse names like 4A1DC586-14EC-4D42-B659-BEBA31968385.calendar. Inside each one of the sub folders will be a file named corestorage.ics which can be imported.
The full path name for each calendar (source) will be Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/iCal/Sources/4A1DC586-14EC-4D42-B659-BEBA31968385.calendar/corestorage. ics
If you had several calendars, you will have a corestorage.ics file for each calendar.
    Good Luck.

  • Lost all contacts when manually adding new ones

Lost all contacts when manually entering new ones, how do I get them back? This is 2nd time this happened

Same thing happened to me this evening.  I had 1700 contacts and was editing several contacts adding birthday and anniversay dates.  After entering dates successfully into the second contact, I did a search for a third contact and got "no results".  That's when I noticed that I had no contacts - not a single one.  Tried turning iPad 2 off and then back on - but no joy - zero contacts.  Not even an error message or beep or system reset - contacts just disappeared.  I suspect they are still on the device, but the Contact app link to the contact database file on solid state hard disk becomes corrupted.
APPLE - This is a HUGE bug that needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY!
    I have iPad 2 - 64gb - 3G/Verizon with 30 GB free. ios 4.3.3
I hadiTunes set to sync my Contacts with Google Mail
    Additional info
    - Resyncing with iTunes restored 1752 contacts
    - I had recently used (24 hours earlier) "Dup Remover" app which worked beautifully, I which I have used successfully on my iPhone.  To be clear - running Dup Remover did NOT cause this problem, but I mention as this loss of contacts may occur as a result of a unique set of actions on iPad 2.

  • Lost all contacts on N95 software update

i have successfully updated my N95 firmware to V20.0.015 and the phone works as such. But when i want to restore all contacts saved using before using PC Suite it hangs up showing 51% done and nether finishes.
    Somebody has any idea?

Sometimes easier to deselect some of the things that you want to restore first, for example, if you only do contacts in the first restore pass then pictures etc.
Stuff that I have to absolutly back up I normally perform a manual drag and drop onto my PC because in the past I have seen its unreliable.
Also a handy technique is to Synchronise your phones contacts with My Nokia and also a PIM program such as Microsoft Outlook, that way you have more that one bank of contacts to back up from. Syncing to Microsoft Outlook has saved me a few times.
As for it taking a long time, how are you connecting? USB or Bluetooth, Bluetooth will take a long time if you have lots of pictures and content.
Try unselecting content from phone memory and then making another restore pass.
    Shunts...
I will mostly be communicating with a Nokia E72 Zodium Black
Nokia E72-1 with Vr 051.018.207.04 Software
If this post helped... Add some kudos!!

  • Lost  All Songs When Updating

My daughter lost all her songs on her i-pod. She just got a new laptop and when she hooked up her I-pod for the first time, it asked, "Would you like to update and make this your computer for the I-pod?" or words to that effect. She said yes and it wiped all the songs off her i-pod. The old computer with the original downloads is gone (it was a loaner) and the hard drive wiped clean. Anyway to retrieve her songs? Help is much appreciated

Sorry, but if she synchronized her iPod to an empty iTunes library, the tracks on her iPod are probably gone. She can try a Windows file recovery utility - some claim to work with iPods, though I can't make a specific recommendation - and see if it can recover the tracks, but not having used any I don't know how well it will work. Otherwise, she'll have to reimport your CDs and restore her purchased tracks from her backup (she did make a backup, didn't she? I hope so).
For future reference, synchronization between iTunes and an iPod is one way only, from iTunes to the iPod. So if you're connecting your iPod to a new, blank copy of iTunes, you cannot let it synchronize automatically or it will delete all the tracks from the iPod. To connect an iPod with tracks to a blank copy of iTunes, you need to turn off automatic synchronization. There are instructions in other threads here on how to keep an iPod from synching automatically on connection, and on how to transfer tracks from an iPod back to iTunes.
I know this doesn't help the situation now, but just in case the issue ever arises in the future, she'll know more about what to do.

  • Lost all data when updating to iOS 7. Help would be appreciated.

  • Lost all data when updating iPod Touch

I've managed to update my iPod software and after it was updated, all the music files disappear except for the apps. I did the restore option and it erase ALL of data inside which irritates me greatly. Now, the music and the apps are gone. I want to know how to restore all the music and apps that I have before the update. i noticed that when I update the software, it ask me to backup and so I did. However, I cannot seem to know how to execute this kind of backup.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if that will work, iTunes have already exported my music library and the music contained inside the iPod isn't located inside this computer. So it should means that iTunes will sync the music library, not from the lost data. This situation stands at updating my iPod this morning and it eradicated all the previous music data it have inside, I've tried to restore from backup but only able to restore on two time periods.

  • Lost all apps when updating to OS4

    Hi,
I updated to OS 4 yesterday and my backup failed. I stil proceeded with the update and the result was that I lost everything on the phone. When i tried resetting to a previous backup I still dont get my apps back. What should I do? I had 4 "pages" of apps, some of them really expensive. Please help me.

Itunes content is NOT included in your iphone backup. Itunes content is stored in your itunes library, so just sync to restore your itunes content. After you restore your from either from backup or as new, you must sync to restore your itunes content which is selected under the various tabs in itunes.

  • Lost all contacts when synching iPhone4 iPad3 & PC

    Help please.
I have a year old iPhone4 with contacts that I have never backed up or synched. I know this was risky. My husband just bought me an iPad3 and he attempted to synch my PC, Outlook Express, the iPad3 and the iPhone4. We were trying once and for all to back it all up so the files would be safe and so both the iPad3 and iPhone4 would have the current contacts. I wound up with stupid Outlook contacts (like empty files and spammers) on my iPhone4 and iPad3 but the original contacts on the iPhone4 were gone. I spent hours re-creating the majority of the data on the iPad3 the other night.
Then today he tried to move the iPad3 contacts to the PC by synching. Instead somehow all the good contacts disappeared from the iPad3 and the iPhone4. All I am left with again is stupid incomplete and spam files from my Outlook loaded into the apple devices again -- which I don't want anyway!!
My husband has been synching his iPad2 with his PC and Blackberry, integrating Outlook Express with contacts and calendars with no problem for months now. He is completely befuddled about what he has done with my data twice now. He doesn't know why when he tries to synch my devices in the same manner as he synches his, it messes everything up.
He was using iTunes and thought he was using iCloud yet thinks he also synched to Outlook Express.
Where have the good files gone?
I have spent an hour reading forums here and also on the web and can't find anything to help me with this. I can't even find where the contact files could be on my PC itself.
    HELP please! I'm desperate!

We found the missing contacts in OUTLOOK EXPRESS trash can. I am in the process of manually re-entering every single one.
I will have to figure out the proper procedure for backing up the iPhone4 and using iCloud so this doesn't happen again. For now I have my hands full doing all manual re-entry. This stinks but it's better than losing it all permanently.
(The files were not in Windows anywhere or on the PC they are in Outlook Express.)

  • Lost all contacts after updating to ios 8.2

I updated my phone to the new ios 8.2 and after installing the update my contacts were gone. I didn't have them backed up to icloud. How do I get them back?

If you did a clean install then you have to manually import contacts from the sim. Try this guide to import sim contacts easily on ios 8.
    OR
Try going into settings ---> Mail,Contacts,Calendars ---> Import SIM Contacts.

  • Lost all contacts on ipad2 when manually entering new contact.

On a trip in May, I lost all contacts when entering new ones.  I use Windows Live Mail and had to call and spend a long time with three different Apple techs in order to get the contacts back.  I actually forgot about the problem and entered one new contact yesterday (on another trip) and lost ALL contacts again.  I can't call for help until I return home because I have the name of the tech who solved my problem at home.
Here I am on another trip without any e-mail contacts.  Why hasn't Apple updated the software and fixed this problem?

    Okay...
I lost all my contact phone numbers for some reason when iSyncing with Motorola Raizor V3 or whaterver they call it. I have been searching the web for a solution and everyone seems to find the file AddressBook.data and AddressBook.data.previous and restore all back into normal. I, on the other side, cannot find these files. I got to <user>/Library/Application Support/Address Book and these files are not there! Why aren't they there??? I dont get it... everyone else finds them there.
Another solution I have found people doing is going to /Library/Application Support/SyncService/Backup Data and finding a folder there called Address Book that contains the data but NOT on my mac! I am not a Mac illiterate either.
I have a back up of some of the data but it is not very up to date. I lost all the phone numbers only. Weird. It doesnt make any sense! Thanks a lot iSync!
This is frustrating because I didn't not only lose ALL my numbers on my Address Book, I lost all my numbers on my cell phone too!
    I am running Leopard 10.5.6.
Wanna hear something funny? I just found out my girlfriend is pregnant, I lost my job yesterday, the valet-parking driver crashed my car and I got robbed. And I am not even joking but it doesn't mean it's not funny because somehow, I find it all hysterical! Cheers -- gonna go for some icecream now.
