Bridge CS4 - Lost all file associations

I run Photoshop CS4 on my desktop and notebook, Windows XP Pro.
I have lost all my file associations with bridge CS4. If I clicked on a .jpg MS paint would start up. It use to work before no problem. If I reset, it does nothing. This is happening on **both** of my machines.
I manually changed them all to PS CS4 and still the oddd time MS Paint will start and not PS.
Any ideas how to fix this?

There are 2 places to look. One is in Bridge preferences/file associations. If that does not fix the problem in XP open Explorer Tools/Folder Options/file types.
Look to see that the default program for the file type is what you want.

Bridge CS4 - Lost all file associations - On 2 computers

I run Photoshop CS4 on my desktop and notebook, Windows XP Pro.
I have lost all my file associations with bridge CS4. If I clicked on a .jpg MS paint would start up. It use to work before no problem. If I reset, it does nothing. This is happening on both of my machines.
I manually selected PS CS4 but at times MS Paint still comes up and if I click the restore defaults, NOTHING happens.
Any ideas how to fix this?

I have a similar but subtle difference showing up. This morning, I clicked Open on a .psd in Bridge CS3 and got "~Photo~1" in place of a program selection. In some cases, I got this and CS4 as options. If I go to Find in Explorer, it opens. Since I have decided to wait for CS5 and the trial period is almost over, I uninstalled CS4 and did a cleanup afterwards. Now, when I go to CS3 Bridge nothing happens. Find in Explorer says it cannot open it either. So I checked File Associations and sure enough it was practically empty, saying "None" to the vast majority of file types. It even indicated None for the nef files but they do open in ACR anyway.
Since my three basic file types are Tiff, psd and nef, I got those working by re-associating them in XP. I also have a number of DNG, but haven't tried these yet.
Reading the links here, it looks like this is a real bug and since it is persistent back to CS2, has been around for a while.
I expect I will have to uninstall CS3 and do a CS cleaner and start over again.
This is on XP. I have Win7 as well, but at the moment, only CS3 there. I'll reinstall CS4 then uninstall it and see if W7 is also a problem.

All files vanished after update!!!!

i erased all my contents after syncing my phone, then updated it and went to sync it again and all my stuff (more importantly hundreds of songs) have vanished!!!! And its saying my brothers iphone on the computer when its connected instead of mines!!!!! What do i do apart from cry? I cloud has somehow decided to forget most of me too!!!!

Lost all my photos after updating iOS8

Hi,
Before updating to the new iOS8 I backed up my phone to iCloud (including photos).
After the update I have lost ALL of my photos. I tried to erase all content on my phone and start again, but still no luck.
Any ideas on how to get my photos back?

Your photos are still on your phone. With iOS 8 there is no My Photo Stream or Camera Roll any more. The MPS has been replaced with the Recent Activity album.
The CR is replaced by the Collections mode. The closest we can get to the Camera Roll is to turn off the Summarize Photos feature in the Settings/Photos & Camera pane and view the photos in the Collections/Moments window.
The photos will be in chronological order when scrolled up from the bottom of the window.

The Recent Activity album is showing the photos added in the last 30 days going back to 8/20 (today being 9/18). In iPhoto on a Mac the My Photo Stream is showing more like 31 days, 8/19 to today, 8/20. It must be how the two devices calculate the last 30 days.

Cant buy anything off the app store and lost all my apps after update

Hello, im having a problem with my iphone 4, i couldnt buy anything off the App store so i decided it would fix my problem. i was wrong there it only caused more problems after the update. i lost all my apps and i still have the same problem with my app store.
I can open the app store but whenever i try to touch the (Free) button nothing happens, also when ever i go to the category section it shows me a bunch of random apps and i cant go back to pick a different category. please help!

I bet you still have your apps on your computer. Sync the apps onto your phone from there. If they arent on your computer, download them on.

All Files Error after Update Pages, Numbers and Keynote, Why ?

Dear Apple Lovers,
I am using ipad 2 Wifi + 3G 64 GB, I had updated my ipad from ios 4.1.3 to ios 7.1.1 two week ago.
After that All aplication and all file can be opened properly well.
The problem came after I updated Keynote, Pages & Numbers, all files could not be opened & all file name is change from alphabetical to numerical. All file content 2 type of file, 1 BuildVersionHistory and the other one is index.
if i open the file ... spreadsheet can't be imported... the file format is invalid
or in Pages...
document can't be imported... the file format is invalid...
If I want to share that document via icloud ... Can't Send Spreadsheet.. To send this spreadsheet, open it in Numbers for iOS first.
In other case... I create a new file in Pages, Numbers or Keynote.. but all the new files can't view in Tab Apps when my ipad is connected to my mac pro via iTunes. If I create a file using other aplication (example using DocToGo), a new file that is created can be seen directly in iTunes Tab Apps DocToGo.
in this morning when i open Numbers all my files are disappear including new file without the reason at all, please give me the best solution. I need your help very very urgent.... since my working datas is very very important.

Lost all contacts & messages after updating to Bel...

Can anyone help please?? Nokia Ovi Suite said it was backing up before installing - in fact I couldn't load the new software without it. I can see the obscure backup file on my laptop. Have lost all my contacts and messages on my phone. Does anyone know how I can restore the backup file? Tried to synch thru Suite but it had same information as my phone - not the backup details, which seems completely pointless! Help please - thanks!

Have you ever synchronized your phone's contacts, messages, calendar, photos, etc. with Nokia Suite before upgrading to Belle?
If you did, then you can have them back by synchronizing again. If you didn't then I'm sorry to tell you you've lost that info, but even in this scenario you have one last chance; that is by restoring the info previously backed up from your phone with Nokia Suite. Do not restore your apps, just restore contacts, calendar and messages if they are available.

I lost all my emails after update

After updating to Maverick, Mac Mail doesn't show old messages anymore. They are still there, but when I open them, they're totally blank. I have 3 years of emails in my Macbook and I'm very disappointed. Any clue on how restore them?

Resetting does not lose content so you must be talking about restoring it.
I haven't had any problems with the iOS 6.0.1 update. Is that the update you are talking about?
It's frustrating to encounter problems like this but don't fall into the, "if I had a problem everyone else must be having it too", trap.
I'm a bit confused about what state you are currently in. Did you restore your iPad to Factory (just like new) using iTunes on your PC/Mac? If so, are you still having problems? If yes, you may have a hardware problem. Fixing this would be covered under warranty if your iPad is only 4 months old. Contact Apple support or visit an Apple store.

Big Trouble in all Video-Applications after updating to CC 2014

After updating my CC to CC (2014), the new Video-Applications (Pl,Pr,Sg,Me) doesn't work.
The other apps (Ps,Ai...) are ok. Ae starts, but it runs very faulty.
Pl,Pr,Sg,Me doesn't even start.
Did you really tested this software, before you published it?!
I work on OSX 10.9.3 with Blackmagic Video-Hardware. German Version.

Lost all my photos after updating from 2.14 to 3. Anyway to recover them?

Have been using aperture 2.14 for years, love it! Uploaded about a months worth of photos last night and began editing as normal. Program kept crashing over and over so I began searching reason why and realized it could be because I just updated to Mavericks OSX. Read that Mavericks and older versions of aperture can be "buggy" and that I should upgrade aperture to 3.0. After the upgrade all photos after 2009 are gone. I have everything backed up except the months worth of photos I just uploaded last night and I already deleted from my camera. Anyway to recover them? I went to the root aperture library to see if they were still there just not being referenced and the file size changed right before my eyes! Please help

Open the App Store, choose "Updates" from the bottom, then "Purchased". You can re-download your purchased apps from there.
Of course, before that, you had to go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores and sign in with your Apple ID.

Lost all my apps after updating to ios 7

So basically i was going to update my Iphone 4 today to ios 7 and i backed up to my pc right before i was goind to update.. then when i updated and when i turned on my iphone i saw that all my apps are gone, i think my other data is there but i cant find any clue of my apps.. i tried to restore last back up again but still didnt work!

After update to CC 2014, Ps can't pass edited image to Lr

As title says, after update to CC 2014 and uninstalling old version I can't get a workflow I used to get. After opening image in Ps from Lr and saving it gives an error:

If not, how can I reinstall Ps and Lr without losing all my edits and presets in Lr?

Ok.. So now after updating CC, Ps CC 2014 and Lr I can't even pass image to Ps from Lr. When I choose "Edit in Adobe Photoshop CC 2014", Ps just opens, but no image is loaded. Can I get some support on this problem?
