Lost all mail between certain dates
I've lost all my mail between September 30 and January 14 in the in box and the sent mail.
This is across the 3 accounts I have set up.
The trash box holds nothing prior to January 14th.
All very confusing, and even more annoying. Any of you smart people got any idea what could be causing this, or more importantly how I could retrieve the files.

Let's force an overall reindexing via the removal of the Envelope Index since you say it is spread across all accounts. Note the special instructions when forcing the reindexing of IMAP or Exchange accounts in the following:

This will force the reindexing of all the POP mailboxes and any On My Mac mailboxes. With regard to the IMAP account, the practical result of this action of removing the account folder, is that with the IMAP account still set up in the Preferences, Mail will connect to the IMAP server and create a new account folder, and while doing so will index the messages in the mailbox folders of the IMAP account on the server. Not removing the IMAP account folders when removing the Envelope Index file may lead to strange results -- have you by any chance ever forced a reindexing by removing the Envelope Index? This could have happened if you ever used a suggestion to remove all files except folders to cure a problem some people encountered when upgrading to 10.5.6 from 10.4.11 (was not the preferred solution however.
May I assume that all standard mailboxes related to the IMAP account are stored on the server, as would be normal?

By synching our computer and tablet together with our new iphone, we lost all our critical calendar data. How do we get it back? The help info, HT4901, was the closest info from the Help pages but it assumed we were already on icloud and had simply disconnected our calendar from icloud. Actually, we were simply trying to synch our devices by signing up with icloud for the first time, so it seems our calendar never had a chance to get uploaded. In any case, how do you reconnect / re-access a calendar on icloud?
If your calendar does not appear on icloud.com it never uploaded to iCloud. If it is no longer on your computer you would have to restore it from a backup source such as Time Machine to restore it.

My Android phone has Firefox installed, and is connected to Sync. Somehow, I lost all of my Firefox data (I think I know how this happened, and I'm going to address that problem with my computer next). Is there any way to pull the sync key off of my phone, since in a house-keeping frenzy I apparently deleted the sync key from my computer?

Our exchange server crashed and we lost all contact and calendar data. We found an app to get the contacts off of people's phone to import but can't find the same for calendar. How do I get my calendar info off my phone and in to new exchange server?
You'd have to think through this, but it seems like if you are using Outlook, and the items vanished from the Outlook client as well as the server,that you could re-populate Outlook using iTunes.

It looks slightly counter-intuitive (or atleast it did to me the first time I saw it) but you just need to pass the date columns of the table you want to generate the quarters for to the function:

I've synced my phone, accidentally, to my wife's account and now lost all me photos and data... Is there any way of retrieving it all? The bigger problem is I can remember when my phone was last synced to my account so the info list is not on there either
To see if there are any backups of your device on the computer, go to iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices.
Moving the mouse over the listed backups will tell you to which device they belong.
If there is no backup of your phone listed, your data is gone.

I appear to have lost all data contained in Mail. This morning, I checked my email and the program froze. I performed a "force quit" which worked. I attempted to restart mail and it again froze. Force quit again and rebooted. This time when I started Mail, it came up with the blank mail program, asking for account information etc. All my e mails and account information were nowhere to be found. I restored the mail program from my back up and started mail again. Same results! I think the e mail information is probably located somewhere on the back up but I am not certain where to find it and I don't want to attempt further restores less I do more damage. As well, has anyone any idea why this would suddenly happen? Appreciate any help. Thanks.
Update 2. Hum I restored the preferences file and it seems to work now...However, I still have no idea why it would have done that in the first place!

Deleted a POP account and lost all mails
I changed my POP server and, extremely stupidly, deleted my old POP account details. Now I have lost all my old emails from that account - any way of getting them back or finding the old POP account details?
MacBook Mac OS X (10.4.10)Well, if you have deleted the accounts using the Mail client you will have lost the mail on the Mac (its always an idea to keep the mail folder ~/Library/Mail backed up, say to a CD or external HD). Best bets for deleted accounts on Mail is to check whether your mailboxes are still present or not on the POP server, or possibly to use HD recovery for the deleted files on the Mac (need to stop working on the Mac asap and get an application like Data recovery http://www.prosofteng.com/products/datarescueinfo.php or similar).

8830 World Edition suddenly lost all mail from before yesterday and call log cleared
I have one our resident higher ups who have lost all there mail on there device. They are receiving mail now but anything befroe yesterday is gone. Also there call log has been cleared.
I have already deleted and reactivated them on our BES and that was no help.For the end-user, s/he needs to clear up some memory on the device....
First thing? Check the File Free at Options > Status, what is the number at File Free?
Now, remove the battery of your device, hold a minute, replace and reboot. What is the File Free now?

Help! Lost all mails and appointments from January 2012 to November 11
I am really disappointed first of all for not having found a direct contact to a BB Help Desk. I mena a direct mail address and not simply a Forum. Recently I discovered that I lost all my mails from my different accounts (gmail, yahoo, the professional one). At first I tried to restore them through BlackBerry Protect since the last Back Up was doneon November 11, 2013. But I did not succeed. Then I sent you an email thrpugh the web. But I got no answer. A really bad way of behaving with clients. Now what happened affected a lot my work. I lost everything: the calendar , the mails that I cannot restore. Do you have an idea how to restore the contents? Do you know why it could hpen? Nobody had ever informed me of this risk. I am using a BlackBerry since about 6 years and it is the first time I hear somenthing similar happening in Italy. Thanks for your suggestions..

Restore, as with all computing devices, depends on a source of restore. From what you've said, it's impossible to tell you why your attempt to restore from BB Protect failed...you provided no details. Further, depending solely on BB Protect is unwise IMHO...refer to the Backup link in my auto-sig for "best practice" backup information.

Every computing device carries risk, some more than others. Any reasonable person using any computing device would very quickly seek out proper recommendations to properly protect the invaluable data that is stored on the commodity device.

Spend a little time reading posts here and you'll find plenty of examples exactly like yours...it is not at all a unique situation. The key is not preventing it from happening, but rather protecting your data so that you do not lose anything when/if it happens.

I Lost all my contact and data
i have problem with my iphone4, it was ios 4.3.3 then i update into 5.1.1. before i doing upgrade i have backup all my data into pc via itunes but not succesed, then i do for upgrade because ithink all my contact not lost after do upgrade ios. but now, all my contact lost. can you help me how to recover my contact data ? i'ts looks like if data in pc lost we can recovered using tools. but how if iphone? please help me

i have this new problem which i can not figure out so i am asking for your help.
the situation is as follows:
i own a .mac account since day 1. and moved to icloud. so did my wife. all worked fine till i decided to update her iphone to ios6 i think.
today she send me an email which i received on my ipad. the notification on my ipad said an email was received from my name. checked the email and the email was my wifes email, but with my name.
went to iclouds on ther prefs pane and saw that it was under my name but i could not change it.
went to apple id and change the name under her apple id to her name and everything changed under hers.
but mail app got all srewed up.
i have lost all her emails and the only thing i get is an inbox and the sent folder.
her web mail and iphone have all folders and emails so they are not lost from the server.
i can not seem to be able to connect the macbook to the icloud server.
i log out from her apple id, and icloud. relog but mail will not sync with icloud and give an error in the pref pane window of icloud. it sais that icloud would not be enabled and go to mail and add the account from there.
i try to do it and when i go to add the account the account is already there. the icon on the left in the accounts list shows the icloud icon with mobile me title and icloud imap description.
the details in the account are correct and already filled in and locked. the server is p01-imap.mail.me.com
i send an email from my account to my wifes email. her iphone received the email from my name to my name (yes my name) but under her email address since she received it. on the macbook the email never arrived.
if i delete the account in the mail app i will get all fields locked but only the alias pull down menu with her email address with the @mac, @ me and @icloud alias.
enabling and disabling the acount will not add an icon to the left. enabling will fill in the locked fields. but do not really make mail work.
quiting mail and reopoening will create an icloud account like before....all in a loop and it gts me really mad!
i can not describe the problem any better since i do not understand what is going on.

Message was edited by: nassoscI have the same problem with my iPhone 5 iOS 6. Message reads "The latest backup could not be completed." I have tried about 10 times, both auto and manual syncs. The progress bar progresses about 1%, stays there for about 5-10 minutes then the message appears. To rule out the possibility of a wireless signal problem, I did an iCloud backup on my wife's iPad (iOS 5.1.1) and my iPad II (iOS 6) and had no problems. I can't understand why my iPhone 5 has the problem and not my other devices. Apple phone support was unable to resolve this and the support person said he has not heard of this problem and would contact the engineering department.

Lost all Mail e-mails from .Mac account
Any help would be much appreicated please. I've have had .Mac since it was a free service. I had a lapse in coverage due to hurricane Wilma. When I reactivated my account (less than 60 days later) I had lost all of my mail, my pictures, my bookmarks, address, you get the picture. I have tried in vain to find a way to get support on retrieving my info with no luck. Anyone have a similar problem, or know how to resolve this? Again thank for any advice. Chuck
