I am not a regular viewer for this forum, I believe now I should have...
Because, As one of the friends out here mentioned, All my apps are lost after I upgraded to
Nokia N79 11.049 RM-348 from Nokia care centre :-((
Can Nokia do anything abt this? I have seen across the net, that many users have complain abt the same pblm..
Before the software update, I couldnt configure the email, but after I did, now I lost, all the apps installed in my phone..
I hope I should have done the backup.. Among that apps, I believe oxford was useful for me...
But any one please help me to restore those apps

here are some links, now i don't know if this is what you are looking for or if they are free. and yes you have to reinstall yours apps unless you did a back up which you did not. reinstall nokia maps, share online and such you can find it either here

or on regular nokia site for you region/country to see what else you might be missing. sorry i know this is not what you want to do but this is the only way you can restore apps on your phone.

When I upgraded to OS X 10.9.1 Everything got synced in very well. Did you transfer your purchases to computer iTunes?
If so, you can sync them from there.

Not sure what happened to your purchased ringtones, but you can download them again.

I lost my user folders after the latest Mac Os upgrade

I noticed the change first trying to use Nikon View NX2 to work on my desktop images. They were no longer accessible. Looking at the folder list both in View NX2 and in the Mac Finder, I could no longer find my user profiles which allow access to all of my pictures as well as my desktop--all my individual folders. This happened right after the latest Mavericks upgrade.

It turned out to be a bug in the release of iTunes 11.2. iTunes 11.2.1 supposedly fixed it.

Hello, im having a problem with my iphone 4, i couldnt buy anything off the App store so i decided it would fix my problem. i was wrong there it only caused more problems after the update. i lost all my apps and i still have the same problem with my app store.
I can open the app store but whenever i try to touch the (Free) button nothing happens, also when ever i go to the category section it shows me a bunch of random apps and i cant go back to pick a different category. please help!

I bet you still have your apps on your computer. Sync the apps onto your phone from there. If they arent on your computer, download them on.

Ok, even for a noob this is weird. I read the above post and I'm suffering the same fate with my itouch. Where before the v5.0 update I had 4 pages of apps, I now have one full page of standard apps and a second page with only two new v5.0 apps (messages and reminders). All my downloaded (free or not) apps are gone.
By chance, from within itunes I went to Devices>Grubmeister's iPod>apps
I saw that all my previous apps were in the list, although grayed out. After agonizing over the possible risk I selected the "sync apps" checkbox. The warning was sufficiently vague to convince me my bank account might be drained and my firstborn would evaporate. I decided I hated the current predicament more than the possible result (my wife for some reason thinks I have a prioritization dysfunction). From within the itunes graphical representation of my itouch (wtfihta???) I see a blank third page. Within pages 4 and 5 all my apps appear. Ahh, I figure they're there, I just didn't know it. I should be able to access them now. Unfortunately, I can't get to them by sweeping my finger on my itouch. Hmmnnn...
I decide to go forward by clicking the itunes "sync" button at the bottom right of the screen. Yup, after the sync, they're there, just like itunes shows them, in screens 3 and 4. The blank page is gone. So far, I haven't noticed any missing data but you'll know when you hear me scream.
I hope this helps. I can't help but think this is a v5 flaw but what do I know. I'm in the 99% so I must have deserved this misery because I'm not special.

I have lost all my apps that I purchased through the app store from my itouch. I had been able to backed up before that point due to system issues.
I had to re-install my system, but copied the itune folder from my documents and copied it back onto my new system setup afterwards. I then synced with itunes, now I have lost all the apps I purchased, is there any way I can get them back?

Log into the iTunes Store with the account used to purchase them, click the Buy button for each, and confirm that you want to download them again; redownloads are free for applications.

My Music Player hangs after the latest firmware up...

I have a 5800 Xpress music phone. I updated the firmware yesterday to the latest version (V40.0.005). And also added some songs from OVI suite. Now my music player hangs all the time. I dont know what to do. And need to restart the phone again to get rid of the problem. Sometimes even if i restart it wont work. Then i need to remove the battery and then restart. So please help. I am frustrated.

After I updated my 5800 to v 40 - i did a soft reset (wiping the phonememory) and a format of the memorycard to make sure the device was cleared for glitches. Atm my 5800 is working like a charm. Actually quite a bit better than my n97.

What is your product number? You mention that your operating system is now Windows 8? How did you upgrade? Is this when your problems began? Did you check out this page to see if your computer has been tested by HP with Windows 8 prior to upgrading?

Lost all my apps after I did a system restore on my replacement I phone 4

Hi, I got my I phone stolen and got a replacement phone, I did a system restore and everything came over except for all my apps. What can I do? Yes I did back up my phone prior to it being stolen. I did remember seeing all my apps on my itunes at one point.
Does this happen when you try to connect a new iphone with old itunes account?
I might of downloaded a new firm ware for i tunes before I did a system restore on my new iphone 4, could that of triggered my apps being missing?

If your apps were in itunes on your computer, then they should still be there. Just sync them back to the iphone.
BTW, the backup that itunes performs when syncing does NOT include music/apps/movies/tv shows etc.
Anything purchased on the iphone would have to be transferred to your computer. File>Transfer Purchases
Unlike music/vids/etc, you can redownload apps

If you really have a iPad 2 as your tag line states then Siri is not supported on the iPad 2. It only runs on the iPad 3 and later.

Problems with the latest firmware upgrade

I found a problem with the 01-10-2006 firmware upgrade. Now that it is inside my ipod certain videos don't play properly anymore. Actually the video starts, it plays normally for a while and then it goes still for a few seconds and then, when it plays again, the audio is gone.
It always happens in the same point with the same video. In particular, just in case someone wants to try, it happens in the latest nasa video podcast.
I don't know what to do!
I'll try to step back to the 1.0 version...

I'm having this problem as well. Sinse I updated the firmware all of my movies get stuck about every 10 seconds then if I wait a few seconds they start up again but with no audio. I'm quite certain that this is a problem with the firmware sinse the videos play fine on quicktime, they used to play fine in my ipod before I updated it, and I can get it to play the parts it gets stuck at if I rewind it but it happens very frequently and each time takes a while to reload. If anyone has found a way to solve this problem please let us know.
