Lost all my downloaded apps and songs due to forgetting apple password during ITunes Sync
Hi,
I recently had a crash with my Macbook Pro. Hence I had to go back to my 1 year back TimeMachine backup. Which means my ITunes had to go back 1 year in time loosing all my downloaded songs and apps. Adding to this I connected my IPod Touch to my Macbook Pro. When the sync happened I was asked for the apple ID and password to sync my apps and songs to the ITunes in my Macbook Pro (I got a popup saying I had to authorise this computer else the data in IPod Touch would be deleted). I had to click on Forgot Password as I had forgotten my apple ID. Now happened the worst ever thing of all these. Most of the downloaded apps and songs and app data stored are removed from my iPod Touch too. Now even after authorising the computer I do not see the apps and songs which I had downloaded and moved to my IPod touch. I wish I had not synced my IPod touch after the restore from TimeMachine backup.
Now is there any way to restore my IPod touch to the same place before it synced up with ITunes of my Mac? Can i somehow get all the apps and songs and video files which had been present in my IPod Touch just before when I synced it with my Macbook?

Sorry for the delay in replying. I've not yet tried these.
I'm still depressed due to the loss of all that I stored in my IPod Touch. At least apple should have programmed it so that the apps and data get deleted only after getting a confirmation from me (only when I click yes). The current software programmed seem to be stupid because I just I clicked on Forgot password and that's not a crime so that it removes all the data.

Has anyone else had trouble with update 6.1.2 for I phone? After the update, I can't get back on my network (password is correct), ICLOUD doesn't transfer my downloads, nothing seems to work. I had this problem post 6.1. Not sure if it was a coincidence, but I'd just recently changed my password after being convinced I'd been hacked, due to being told I was entering my password wrongly, repeatedly by iCloud / iTunes. It turns out my iCloud account on my Settings -> Mail, Contacts and Calendars was listed as Inactive. Putting in my details, turning off Contacts over iCloud (thus deleting them) and turning them back on again, repopulated my contacts from iCloud with numbers attached to them.

I have an iphone 3 and I have lost all my downloaded ringtones and music but when I sync with itunes it will not load it back on my phone. Does anyone have any suggestions?
When you sync with itunes on your computer make sure you have all the songs that you want to sync selected in the music tab in itunes when you connect your phone. Also with your phone connected click on the tones tab and make sure all the ringtones you want are selected there then sync

When updating my iphone 4 for the first time I seem tohave lost all of my apps and the data on my apps. One of these apps was a camera and all of my photos are gone!! I had over 1000 pictures mostly of my children. I cant find them anywhere. Please help! How do i get all of my apps back with all of the data that was on them?? Thank you, LEC
app store - update - purchased - all/not on this phone - select the app you want to download by clicking on the cloud next to it.

What did you update with what? Are we talking a computer? A device like an iPhone? You updated iTunes? You updated the operating system?
If you updated the iOS on a device, I believe it warns you it will erase the device and you should make a backup first. Restore from the backup.
iPhoto is an application pretty much separate from iTunes. There is an iPhoto forum if you are having problems with that application. -
So I have an iphone and for some reason I don't know the password for my Apple ID so I can't download apps and I don't have the password to my email to change it and I don't know the secret questions , what can I do to make a new Apple ID ?
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -
Can we share apps and songs with two different apple IDs but the same computer?
we both got an iPod Touch for Christmas and we have two seperate Apple IDs and I cant figure out if the music she has purchased and the music i have purchased can be combined. We are using the same computer (windows 7) and same user acct. We also have itunes gift cards and before we start buying stuff i want to know how this all works. Thanks in advance and I must admit i am new to apple and not the greatest at it.
I've tried everything..unplugging and re-setting the Apple TV, restoring to factory settings and starting over...nothing seems to work. I'm not sure why the software upgrade would have affected it, but that's what triggered this problem. It doesn't seem right that if it's accessible on my computer and it's all music purchased by me, that it's not all accessible on my Apple TV!

I had previously had years worth of Christmas music in my iTunes. When not the holiday season I obviously deslect it so that it does not play. I thought it was all backed up to the cloud, but now upon trying to recover it and resync it to my phone for travelling, I cannot find it anywhere. Is my music gone for good?
Why did you think it was in icloud?
You can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries, but this does not apply to music not purchased via itunes.

I updated my Iphone 4s to the IOS 7.0.2 and i have having a lot of trouble. My apps are not found, neither is my music or videos. When I tried to reload the purchased there was NOTHING there! I need help! I did try to reupdate and it said that the software was up to date
If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?

Why i lost all parcial download from app store when internet down
When i am downloading some patch from app store and internet fails for any reason, shows error and lost all partial download patch, and need to star from the begining again. thats normal? is not better if the downloaded information until a fault occurs remains? thus would not have to wait again to all the load is carried...
It's probably because what caused the issue also may have corrupted the DL. (which I would not want to have continue)
I have always done a "fresh download" when ever there has been an interruption, as a prudent proceedure.
Try using an ethernet connection for application, and system updates, it is far less prone to interference (such as radio frequency interference...RFI) and thus less prone to corruptions/interference. -
I updated the version on my Iphone and didn't sync before ans as a result I lost all my photos, apps, and contacts. I will like to recover the deleted photos as they are very important to me, it's there a way to recover them?
did you ever do a backup. cause if you did say like a year ago. it should still be there and you could at least get the info back until that date.

How do I restore all apps and music that have been purchased back on to an IPOD touch? The IPOD was locked and we had to reset it and now we have lost all of the apps and music that we had purchased from April 6, 2010 to now.
What has happened is the IPOD Touch account was originally set up on a laptop. That laptop crashed and we had to then set up the account in question on a Desktop. The IPOD was never synced. The IPOD was diabled because my daughter typed in the wrong password numerous times. So my 15 year old reset the IPOD and it wiped out all of the apps and music. Now I do not know how to restore everything.

in order to restore your songs and apps, you should just reconnect to itunes and sync your data. your phone ran a backup before it upgraded, and you can also do a restore. but the key is still to go to your itunes and sync back to your phone what you wanted there in the first place.

Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

On the same day, my computers hard drive crashed and my iphone4 stopped working. I did a backup and restore of my iphone on a different computer. When the restore took place, I lost all of my music and applications. I logged into my itunes account and there is no music listed. Does itunes only work with what is saved on a certain computer, not what is in a persons account? Also, I do have all of the songs, etc on my Ipad...I am afraid to plug it in in case I lose it from there too. What should I do?
Well that is the way it works. Your purchases are only where you put them.
Syncing to a blank library is designed to wipe the device of all it's contents.
If you have a backup of your old computer, use that backup to restore your content and then sync your device.
Otherwise, you may be able to download past purchases from iTunes.
