Lost all my favourites on iPad 2
I Have lost all my favourites on my iPad 2. All it shows are the favourites from my i phone 4 .
how can I restore my favourites ?
If your email account is an IMAP account, then when you select it in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, you can set Notes to 'on' which will display the notes associated with that email account in the Notes app , set it 'off' to display them as a folder in the Mail app. As long as there is at least one email account where the notes are set to be displayed in the Notes app then you will get the option in Settings > Notes as to where to save/associate new notes - if all the email accounts are set to display their notes in the Mail app then you don't get the option in Settings > Notes as there is nothing to chose between i.e. new notes will be stored on the iPad and not to an email account
So if you had an email account on the iPad that had been set to display its notes in the Notes app, then you may have been storing new notes to that email account. If you then deleted that email account from the iPad (or changed its Notes on/off setting) then the notes that had been stored to it would also have gone from the Notes app, but they will still be linked to the email account.

I was told by eBay to set up Mozilla Firefox as I had problems uploading scans on to listings. I now find I have lost all my favourites and there is nothing in the unsorted bookmarks, where you told me they would be. Also it has slowed down my computer considerably, and seems to want to have about ten goes every time you try to get into a website. So it seems totally useless to me, and I want to revert to Internet Explorer. Why is MF such a useless system and how do I delete it - I am very elderly busy computer operator with ;ittle knowledge of systems, what you call things and so on, so please keep it simple. Jeremy
From Bookmarks (at top left of page) select 'Show All Bookmarks'. This will open the bookmarks Library. Have a look around here to see if your bookmarks (favourites) are all there. If so, you can now export them for use in other browsers. Why not take the opportunity to tidy or restrucure them before export?
To export them select 'Import and Backup' then 'Export HTML'. Save the file to somewhere safe on your PC, My Documents perhaps.
I use an Uninstaller Program so I'm not too sure but I think you can uninstall Firefox > Start > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox - and there's possibly an uninstall option here. Failing this, go to the Program folder and find the 'uninstall' folder, double click 'helper.exe' and this will open the Firefox uninstaller. -

not much response in here which surprises me...
Anyway... AS I am still looking for answers, I will share a couple of points that I realised...
in Airport Utility, I noticed that my iphone MAC address was actually showing as client connected, despite my phone network showing the spinning wheel next to the network name for ever and never actually connecting.
I am currently testing the router mode in Network to be on DHCP and NAT mode with a range from .2 to .200
My phone is now connected....
Everything seems to be ok and happy so far...
strange that this router and phone have worked together for at least a couple of years, the phone works everywhere else, and all other toys connect to my WIFI just fine. the list is as follow:
airport extreme
Zeppelin air
2x apple tv
2 ipads
iphone 4s
2 mac
1 pc
I have litterally just hard reset the router with a pin just now as a last resort... same...
I will leave the router as DHCP & NAT until a potential firmware or OS update... -
I recentlyl lost all info on my iPad, luckily I had recently backed up on iTunes. When I performed the restore, everything came accross except my iBooks pages. I have the proper files in my collections, but the information in the files is not showing up.
How do I get this lost information back?A backup doesn't contain any of your iTunes downloads or the contents of the Music, Videos or iBooks apps. If they are ibooks and they are still in the store then you should be able to redownload them via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app. If they are PDFs and/or epubs from other sources then do you have copies of them anywhere e.g. are they in the Books part of your computer's iTunes library or elsewhere on your computer ?

I lost all my files on the apple pages app on my ipad. How do I retrieve my lost files?
Dock folders are only links to the actual folders which should be located in your user folder.
Open a finder window andf click on your name. Then yo'll get a list of all your folders which are located there. Standrad should be eight folders: desktop, movies, pictures, music, websites, public, downloads and documents.
When you click on that one, is it still empty?

How does one view / retrieve " journals " from icloud?....
Using iPad to do journals for trips
Noted there were duplicates and triplicates of events
Had a One to One - unable to answer this
Advised to back up iPad before updating it
Backed up iPad to laptop then attempted to update but got an error
Advised to convert iPad to original format then use the recent back up to get back pictures
However all pictures were not recovered and the journals are gone
Journals were uploaded to icloud- are they not still there
Nobody can advise me how to access them in icloud?
And if I can -can I down load them back to my iPad

Lost all contacts iOS7 on iPAD
"upgraded" to iOS7 on my iPad last night.
This morning I noticed that all my contacts on the iPad have gone missing. I tried syncing in iTunes but no joy. Contacts seem to have gone missing in iCloud too. iCloud is supposed to sync contacts from Outlook but iCloud plugin for Outlook had to be disabled this morning or Outlook would not open.
Is there a way to undo this mess?
Outlook ver. is Outlook 2010 on Win7.

1. Double click the home button (the recently used apps should appear on the bottom).
2. Hold your finger over Safari and wait for the red circle with a white minus sign to appear (if you do not see Safari, scroll right and you will find it).
3. When it appears, press it. This will close out the app and force Safari to start from scratch.
Note: you cannot do this if you have Safari open. I would just do it from the home screen. -

Few days ago I was downloading an application but for some reason it kept freezing, so I thought I might just turn it off and on again. Once I turned it on again, ALL my apps were swiped clean... even the default apps like Settings or App Store were nowhere to be found ! I tried doing the search thing on the right on web or wikipedia, but it kept giving me errors. I finally tried restoring it with my laptop but it kept giving me an error.. I tried all the solutions they suggested from the help page.. and still NOTHING! I dont know what else I can do! Please help?
P.S: My photos are still on it, I could locate them from the drive when I plugged it to my laptop.Hello,

My laptop running ms and outlook had to be re-loaded and as a result I lost all of my Internet explorer favourites. As I run iTunes on my laptop I do have all of th favourites synced through iTunes to my ipad2. How can I reverse synch my ipad2 so that the bookmarks are transferred back to my outlook pc

can anyone help with retrieving My Library in Itunes and Itunes store - having updated Itunes and Icloud on 24 September 13, my computer failed and I lost all my files which were eventually backed up to an Emergency Backup. my computer is now working again and I have down loaded Itunes and transferred all the files from my Emergency Backup. Non of the music went back into Itunes, so I had to find these files and manually moved them to Itunes. The music is now in Itunes, but I no longer have the folder named My Library, which I think is the reason my Ipad, ipod no longer sync any additional music I have added to Itunes. Does anyone know how to rectify this please.
Many thanks. CruseyiTunes expects files and folders to be in very specific locations. When you start iTunes it looks for a file called library.itl which is in the iTunes folder. It then uses all the references in that file which tell it where all your media files are located to build up the view you normally see. Probably you moved the library file so iTunes cannot find it and it will make a default one which is empty. When you plug in your iPod it isn't recognizing the library since it is not the same one to which you synced last.
Simply put, you need to undo all your file moves. Not as eaily done as stated but since I cannot quite see from here exactly what you spent an hour doing last night it will be up to you. Did you make a backup before doing all this?

The last time I synced my iphone to itunes, I lost all my contact info, photos, calendar, and voice memos. This time I still have them, but I lost all the apps I had downloaded. Also, I just bought an ipad, and itunes does not recognize it.

Hi, I quitted Safari and press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons silmutaneously unti the Ipad turn off and on with the logo Apple appears but it has hanged on and fixed to the point. I do it again hold the Home and Sleep buttons silmutaneously and the Ipad turn off and on again with the Apple logo but it still is hanged on the same point. I have do it a few more time, it still hanged to the same point for few hours with no change (like picture):
I think my Ipad is fault now. I guess I must connect it to the computer with itune, or something. So my case is this: at the moment everytime I hold the Home and Sleep buttons the Ipad always off and reappear with the Apple logo and be hanged on (like the pic), and I need restoring my Ipad Safari bookmarks... so I guess I need using Itune or something to get back the Ipad then using Icloud or blah.
