Lost all my google desktop page and email access...again after using Trend Micro System Tuner
I ran Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2013 System Tuner and lost all the info, gadgets, etc. and even my email (Gmail) access. I was left with a black, blank page. I opened up Google Chrome and everything is still in place. This happened 3 days ago. So, yesterday I ran the system tuner again again as per my own comments from last year....had sorted it out by doing it. Still nothing. This morning.....I opened Firefox (21) and surprisingly had my main desktop page but still without my email. When I tried to open the email on it's own I still got nothing....the computer seemed to try to open it, but got "stuck" and the "loading" bar that goes from left to right never appeared. I could switch to the "slower" HTML version and the mail came up but prefer standard version. Checking on Google Chrome, everything is working just fine. I believe the Firefox Version 21 had only just been updated? Perhaps that is at the core. I really prefer Firefox but will have to continue with Google Chrome until this problem perhaps sorts itself out. Since it is loading properly on Google Chrome I don't want to set everything up again. Any suggestions?
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

So I do know they are in there, I just can't afford to pay $70 to retrieve them, nor do I think I should have to as the upgrade caused them to be missing! Does anyone know of a free recovery tool? I never used iCloud, so that is not an option either.

I lost all my unpinned 30 tabs and could not restore it, when Adobe update opened a link by firefox, which was not running in the background.
I guess what I have experienced might be a special case of 'Restore previous sessions'. The actual situation was that after I rebooted my laptop, Adobe update jumped out indicating an update being finished successfully. After I clicked on the 'close' button of the Adobe window, it automatically started firefox and linked to its website. But I did not find the 'Restore previous sessions' page this time. Then I restarted firefox, this time there was a start page with 'Restore previous sessions'. However, sadly enough, it is only restored my pinned pages plus the Adobe website. Actually, I am using 'bookmark all tabs' from time to time to secure opened tabs, but this time I did not expect such an incident. I would suggest to improve the 'Restore previous sessions' with multiple time tags and appear in all cases including my reported case here, after updating firefox, crashes etc. I like firefox in most occasions, therefore believe and hope it becomes better and more robust. Internet pages and email slow at loading
i have a acer aspire 64 bit lap top with windows8 but now upgraded to windows 8.1. with explorer 11 sometimes my bt home page is slow loading and emails the slow. i use my sub account email to sign in to windows and i can open the sub account emails in the live tile in the metro screen.
sometimes i have to refresh the bt home page to get it to work and the other day it came up with about blank page.
is the bt home page compatible with windows 8.1/metro, desktop, and exp 11Foofoo,
are you running those internet on os x or windows platform?
if you run it on windows try to get antispyware program or online scan like one offered from ewido or onelive scan (microsoft).
slow connection also might caused the image not properly loaded.
repair your permission: application > utilities > disk utility > repair permission, or install Onyx or machelpmate to repair and optimize your HD.

Please always post your system when you have a query - in this case it makes a considerable difference to the answer.
Is your system pre-Lion? Earlier systems are not compliant with iCloud but you can set Mail up manually to access your iCloud email:

not much response in here which surprises me...
Anyway... AS I am still looking for answers, I will share a couple of points that I realised...
in Airport Utility, I noticed that my iphone MAC address was actually showing as client connected, despite my phone network showing the spinning wheel next to the network name for ever and never actually connecting.
I am currently testing the router mode in Network to be on DHCP and NAT mode with a range from .2 to .200
My phone is now connected....
Everything seems to be ok and happy so far...
strange that this router and phone have worked together for at least a couple of years, the phone works everywhere else, and all other toys connect to my WIFI just fine. the list is as follow:
airport extreme
Zeppelin air
2x apple tv
2 ipads
iphone 4s
2 mac
1 pc
I have litterally just hard reset the router with a pin just now as a last resort... same...
I will leave the router as DHCP & NAT until a potential firmware or OS update... -

You should have been sycning them with your computer all along. Sync them from your computer back to the iphone.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
Would you mind telling me which anti-virus package you use? It may be that it is disturbing iTunes when it tries to write out the fresh database, as it does after almost any activity with your library. I'm noticing more of this type of problem than usual and trying to see if there is any pattern. It may help to prevent a repeat of the problem if you look at the advanced options for your AV package and see if you can find a way to exclude the iTunes folder from any real-time scanning process.

This happens during the creation of email or word/pages documents.Try starting in Safe Mode and see if the problem still occurs?
Restart holding the "shift" key.
(Expect it to take longer to start this way because it runs a directory check first.)
If this works look in System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login items and delete any third party login items (-), you can always add them back with the (+). -

If you used icloud for your contacts and calendar then you should have no problem. They will all come back on the phone once you put the icloud user name and password in. Itunes does not store the contact information except in a backup file and if you were backing up using icloud you can use that backup to restore with.

Not sure why this happened, but are you syncing calendar events direct with a supported calendar app on your computer?
If not, calendar events are included with your iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. If you haven't synced your iPhone with iTunes since this data went missing, you can try restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup. Do not sync with iTunes before doing so, and do not update your iPhone's backup before doing so when prompted. -
