Lost all my tabs when my computer died and now I can't get tham back

I forgot to plug in my computer while I was browsing Firefox and it died. I was not worried as this has happened before, but when I reopened Firefox and tried to restore my 53 tabs (I know I have a problem, I love tabs) I was unable to click restore previous tabs in History. I don't know what to do because these tabs were collected over a period of months. I tried to rename the systemstore.bak file to systemstore.js like many of the forums suggested, but it gives me a warning telling me that changing the file may make the info unusable and when I try to reopen Firefox there is nothing there. Once, in the past I found a forum that involved pasting a link into the browser and being able to do a system restore in some way to find your old tabs, but I can't find this old post. I just don't know what else to do now.

You can try to restore a previous version of the sessionstore.js file.

Other than iMovie, GB always incorporates the audio files into the GB package. So just save or move the GB project to the external drive, and you're done - anything you import, edit or record will be saved to the external drive.

Without a backup on iCloud, there needs to be another device using the same @icloud address that is syncing to the notes. Without that, there is no way to go back in time to create a backup before performing a major update.

I believe now you potentially lose all extensions, plug-ins when you use the new reset function, but you will let me know.
If that is the case, your find corrupt file method maybe better. However, I reviewed the two help articles and there appear to be more files than just the delete search.json file and a possible search.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder. I am confused. Then I have to find the folders. I think help articles mentioned how to find the profile containing the files, but not sure.

When I first set up my tabs, I had google's "first" page saved as a tab. I somehow erased it, and now I can't get it back. It will only save a "search" page.

I have Google as my home page, and I like the "tiles", when I open a new tab. The first "tile", I pinned as Google's home page. so I can quickly, and easily copy (say, a celebrities name), hit tab hit Google and paste.
Now , I have lost the Google home page, and can;t get it back, as a tile. I don't want to change the tabs setting to go straight to Google every time, because I use the other tiles too.
I know it sounds petty, but i got quite used to having that,(and I know I can use bookmarks), but that is much more troublesome for my shaky hands than some people realize.

All you need to do is open a new tab, go to the last tile space at the bottom right of the page and, if it's used, click on the little X at the top right of the tile. Click until the space is empty. You may have to close several tiles before the space becomes empty.
Next, go to the address bar and type in google. The full address should pop up. Hit enter to go to the page. If you have to, type in the full address of google.com and hit enter. When the page loads, (and I'm assuming here that you have your browser set to remember your tabs when you re-open the window - if not see further instructions below), close the browser window. If a warning message pops up that "You are about to close ? many tabs" (where there is a question mark there will be a number), click OK.
Wait 5-10 seconds for the program to completely end and then open your browser again. When you open a new tab, you'll see the Google tile in the bottom right of the tile matrix. Click and drag it to whichever space you want it in and then click the little pin in the top left of the tile.
Voila! You should have your Google tile back. I too suffer from unsteady hands and can relate to hating bookmarks. However, you should be able to search for whatever you want to with the search in the address bar.

Lost my iTunes library when old computer died. Now what?

My old MacBook Pro died. My mom gave me her old MacBook Pro. My problem is that my itunes were on my old one. Up till now it didn't matter much. I just used my iPod which had the old library on it. Then today I plugged my itunes into a computer to charge and it synced and wiped out all my music. Now I have nothing.
I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I have no idea how to get all the music I've purchased on my "new" used computer and on my iPod. I tried downloading iTunes for this computer and using my Apple id and everything. Couldn't figure out how to get my music on this device.
What do I do? Explain it to me like I'm a three year old, even though three year olds are better at this than I am.

I was using the clone tool and my computer froze. I could'nt get aperture to work at all, so I turned my computer off and now I can'nt access aperture or my I photo library. I ahve tried re booting my computer several times but I don't know what to do to

I was useing my colne tool in apetrure when, apeture froze. I could not get it to work again, so I turned off my computer, re booted my machine and tried to open the programme again. I can not get aperture to open again and I can't open I photo either. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me get the programme running again? I have a deadline to meet this evening. Help!

I have tried both options.
When I got to point 3 I choose the library I was working on and the same error message popped up, so this option did not work.
I then tried the second suggestion and chose the repair option but as before there is no sign of a repair database grogress indicator. Where would I be able to see this and what does it look like. I can't see any evidence of anything happening on my screen.
I have also just tried the first option that comes up in the pop up box where you have to enter your password, this resulted in the same error message.
I don"t know what to do.
I don't really want to have to go for the third option where you have to rebuild you data base - Would this result in loosing images?

Have you tried restoring your iPod, this will erase the hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings so make sure you have all your songs backed up in iTunes. Once the restore is complete a fresh installation should update from iTunes: Restoring iPod to Factory Settings
